Thanks for the input Sir..but as per the picture, the idle sensor is attached to the throttle body, there should be some kind of passage in between both..my concern is, that passage is block.

Like I said earlier ,service the idle valve assembly

I notice the idle body of my wife's Honda accord 03 is partly close. Car doesn't idle well, it get worst when the Ac is ON

Erratic idle issue doesn't mean the first thing is to start fiddling with the throttle adjustment screw. That screw is not even meant to be touched .
There is a lot of reason that can affect the idle speed to become eratic ranging from misfire ,vacuum leak ,lean mixture issues ,clogged idle valve .
Mind you, the throttle valve is not designed to close completely to allow air passage during idling ,so slightly opening throttle @ idle is normal.
First ,run diagnosis on your vehicle and check the idle speed if it within spec and if not service the idle control valve assembly. Also check for misfire and vacuum leak

For using a pacer? Or using a new catalyst? How na? If it’s about the mesh used by some panel beaters I agree with you sha ..... but it’s not a must that the engine will and must die..... that is actually better than having the pot empty.

It is much much better to drive without catalyst than choking your engine to death by stuffing your exhaust with undesiredable dirty element .
If you cannot afford the expensive original catalyst ,leave it bare or use spacer.
Finally ,u need to know that effect of catalyst absence on fuel is not significant as exaggerated by most people .The main purpose of cat is to filter out toxic exhaust gases .

Don't waste money on coolant yet ,resolve the issue first then u can add coolant .
You need to provide answer to this question .
1.Have you taken step to wash the radiator first cos if it is clogged with dirt ,engine temperature will increase with load unnecessarily
2.Does the level of water in the radiator goes down wen u check every morning ,if so this mean there is leak and leak will introduce air into the system
3.what about the direction of the fan
4.when do u get this overheating ?high speed or at idle

it might be faulty cold starting cable....
consult a good rewiyer or mechanic.

I will advice you to avoid kazeems(rewire) like plague to avoid abuse of your car wiring system
Get a knowledgeable technician to diagnose the issue first.

I bought a 2007corolla last year from copart with 14k plus mileage as stated on their site but when the car got to Nigeria, what i saw was 299,999 as the mileage and it has not changed since then. Only the Trip A and B changes. What could have been the problem?

Just change the instrument cluster ,your odometer has max out.

There is nothing like reserve tank .
Reserve is just an indicator to alert motorist of low fuel available in fuel tank .

Dear brothers, i got an offer for a toyota solara for around 300k. I would haveto change engine asthre is none therein right now. I have tried chexking the price of a 3.0 v6 engine but havebeen unablw to get a reliable price. Do you think this is a good buy buy? I was told every other thing is intact.

I had change the ECU around November last year to solve the bad selonoid issue. but the check engine sign still persisted, only that the drag/jerk reduced at the time. Now, its back again.

That is why I said ,"go for further diagnosis (this is beyond scanning ) @ more sensible place cos there is lot of kazeems diagnosticians too

I have a similar issue with my corolla 05. when the car is stationary for a while (eg in traffic), it will refuse to drive after awhile, then jerks when I pump the accelerator further to force it to move. I was told by a kazeem that I have to replace the gear entirely. I scanned the vehicle, and this is the codes P0420 and P2716.

You have solenoid Line pressure malfunction which is due a defective ecu according to toyota TSB on Toyota repair documentation manual or bad solenoid or circuit issue. You need to go for further diagnosis to confirm which of the case but my bet is on the ecu

Nor sure of price because I don't use a corrola, but the meachnic who told u that that catalyt for the car is 100k is a big thief.

Personally I doubt your catalyt can be more than 10k, but at the every worst, 15k.then look for a good panel that knows how to install it properly.

15k catalyst is surely a made- in- ladipo catalysts
You are looking for trouble for your engine using that kind of catalyst.

this is wrong for a 2004 corrola.

There is no vSS on the gearbox for output speed to the cluster.

The 2002-2003 has a VSS on the gearbox.

The test above will not move the needle because the wheel speed sensors transfer information Via abs unit to the cluster.

Tow your car home we will continue diagnosis from there.

No sir ,The corolla of that model still take vehicle speed signal from VSS located on the gearbox
