Jobs/Vacancies › Re: I Am Sending 10,000 Naira To An Anonymous Nigerian Every Week. by Average9jaman: 3:50pm On Jul 26, 2023 |
shine12: I have created this post to start an initiative of offering assistance to individuals who are unknown to me. Every week, I aim to send 10,000 Naira to a Nigerian stranger(I will pick an account number at random if there is more than one), as I understand the challenging situation in Nigeria. This small gesture is my way of giving back to my country, even though I am currently living abroad. I have the means to consistently afford this amount, even when facing unpaid bills, as it is less than £10.
Most of my siblings are also living outside Nigeria, and through this initiative, I hope to extend a helping hand to those in need back home. I find fulfillment in anonymous giving, acts that only God recognizes and rewards.
Through this platform, I wish to continue being a blessing, in my own small way, to any Nigerian in need, regardless of tribe, language, or religion. I am not seeking any personal information from anyone, nor do I want this page to be a platform for scams. Only post an account number or send your account number as a DM. Once you receive the alert, come back here to mention the alert received so I am sure you have the funds.
My desire is to offer genuine help and support to fellow Nigerians, spreading a spirit of compassion and unity. Together, we can make a difference and alleviate the burdens faced by those less fortunate in our beloved country.
Let us come together and embrace the joy of giving without expecting anything in return. May we all find ways, no matter how small, to make a positive impact on the lives of others. Favor locate me in Jesus name amen Bank name: Access Bank Account Number: 0011358869 Account name : Ochai A. Ochai Wish you more blessings |

Curious346: We are the giant of Africa , largest black nation on earth , the father of ECOWAS .
It PAINS MY HEARTH anytime I see lamentations about fuel price hike in Nigeria on social media. Have we lost our dignity and prestige ?
If small Ghana pays N1600 per liter for pms , what then is the wailing about a paltry N618 per liter in Nigeria ?
I think we need to look within to find out what our real problems are. AND TO ME IT'S CORRUPTION, BIGOTRY AND STATE SPONSORED TRIBALISM (site @DSS) OP I swear dis ya post is HIGHLY annoying Am no economist but to my layman imagination, I think what you should consider is the purchasing power of both currencies In Ghana, R dey buying a litre of fuel 600 cedi?? If for example, a litre of fuel in Ghana is 150 cedi, a fair comparison wil b if a litre of fuel in Nigeria is 150 naira The aim should be to use less currency to get more commodity instead of the reverse, which is Nigeria's case - more currency to get less quantity It makes no sense to me OP e b like say you get money, na too much money dey worry u |

nairalanda1: So you want a leader that will bring back cheap fuel?
Cheap fuel has not benefited our economy. At all. It is why we don't have working refineries, why we even have inflation and deficits.
Fuel costs money to refine. This ur point no follow... To refine or to import, which one costs more? |

Politics › Re: How Satisfied Are You With The Tinubu's Administration So Far? by Average9jaman: 9:35am On Jul 02, 2023 |
casualobserver: The reason why there is so much hardship in the 1st place is subsidy and bad forex management. The 1st step is to stop was is causing the pain, it does not mean the pain will stop immediately but it means the pain will not get any worse and over time things will get better.
The reason why there are no jobs is because the people that create jobs (investors) all stopped investing in Nigeria. Investors (both local and foreign) ran away from investing in Nigeria was because they couldn’t get their money out, a good case in point is Emirates Airline, hat has close to $1b stuck in Nigeria it couldn’t get out. As a result it banned Air peace from Dubai (which means Air peace can’t make forex from Dubai customers) and banned visas to Nigeria. Investors create jobs, without the jobs unemployment rises and suffering rises. Another was are portfolio investors who invest in our stock and bond market. When they had problems getting their money out they stopped investing in Nigeria. The inflow of foreign portfolio investment (aka dollars) was a big source of foreign exchange that dried up under Buhari. As for subsidy, it is on record that we have already saved N400b in just 30 days. That is more money for social programmes, , increased salaries, education, infrastructure health education etc.
think about it, Lagos-Ibadan rail cost $2b (or N1.4 trillion at todays exchange rate). We had to borrow the money because we were spending all our money on subsidy…that was going to neighboring countries. Yet in just 3 and a half months we will have saved bough money to build another Lagos Ibadan rail line without having to borrow. All the money we spent on subsidy, do we have anything to show for it? If we had spent the subsidy money on infrastructure or education, at least we would be able to point to where the money went. I beg to differ that subsidy is one of the reasons for hardship in the country, though I agree with you about bad forex management. The number 1 reason for the hardship is bad governance followed by extreme corruption and weak rule of law If you have been following happenings in recent times the level of theft, looting, diverting funds has been on a monumental scale, some ministries exist for the purpose of siphoning large amounts of public resources, government officials loot with reckless abandon because there are no repercussions for their crimes, like that previous humanitarian woman, sadia - just to mention 1 among many and 95% of them are walking around scot free If corruption and looting of public funds is adequately plugged in all MDAs(the root cause of our problems), the amount of money realised will equate or exceed the money going to subsidy, those monies can now be used to invest in infrastructure, healthcare, education and so on We all agree that subsidy should go, however, concrete measures MUST be put in place to avoid the effects that we are seeing, it should follow a Carefully planned framework to minimise the negative impact on the economy, subsidy removal should be a gradual thing and not overnight without any consideration for the brutal aftereffects We don't even know if the money being saved from subsidy will be used to align the pockets of a select few - as usual |

VERY VERY unsatisfied. He does not seem focused or have strategic plans to revive the galloping economy
All his 1st actions have caused a SHARP RISE in inflation and driven several millions to poverty and those already in poverty to extreme poverty
I fail to see how his policies so far will better the lot of suffering Nigerians in the near or far future 🤦♂️ |

flyinnizam: it keeps increasing doesn't mean the person will pay back Am no financial expert but I believe stats show that majority of people end up paying loans back Who knows, they may consider those that don't pay back as normal loss of revenue in business But I believe the profits far surpass the losses Also I observe that they have taken a real strong countermeasure to serve as a detergent if a borrower might consider not paying back; those messages they send wen u don't pay back can be very embarrassing, damaging and degrading. One thing with human beings, even if people don't have anything, one tin everybody will go to great length to protect is their integrity and image in the face of family, friends and coworkers. Those messages they send have caused major problems in lives and families, some people have even committed suicide |
