Hello everyone!!!! I am back with my TCF Canada results!!! This was my first attempt and I was so scared but God saw me through!
I was hoping to get even the bare minimum pass result but I'm so surprised by this! I made a lot of sacrifices with my time, finances and even relationships because I couldn't spend time with my loved ones but it was all worth it in the end! I just want everyone here that is hoping to write either TCF / TEF exams to remain dedicated and should not give up. To be honest, you will need to study and sacrifice a lot but if you remain diligent, you will reap the fruits.
Old CRS score: 432
New CRS score: 500
Félicitations. Nice result. May the rest of the journey be smooth for you. Sure ITA!

Please help me out.
Though I haven't sit for ielts but I have the following qualifications and I don't know if I can still evaluate using the calculator as well or I must have ielts before trying to evaluate myself.
A degree in Microbiology
Degree in Nursing science
Registered Nurse certificate
Registered Midwife certificate
30years
2 children
Husband has masters
I have more than 2 years experience and husband more than 7 years. Please help

Your profile looks good but not having 3 years expérience will lower your crs score. Both of you should create profiles as principal applicants.

Meanwhile, you should also considèr UK immigration pathway for nurses. A friend who has your kind of profile will be leaving for the UK next month. For this, you will need to write ielts academics and some nursing exams. In my opinion, it's a much faster immigration pathway if you pass your exams. Check out the UK nurses immigration thread in the travel section. All the best

Words are not enough to proof how grateful I am for this information...thank you super much!!!

She is a first cousin, as she is my Dad’s younger brother’s daughter...I guess this is right ?

About the POF, I read somewhere that they don’t accept Gift Deed but if it worked for someone else, it should definitely work for us too.

This is our major challenge really!

I’ll go through the links.

Thank you so so so much !
For SINP, dont present a gift deed. The money could come as a gift but you need not menton to SINP that it's a gift as SINP does not require you to state source of funds. Let the money sit in your account for 90 days, (i recommend 93 days to avoid any dates calculation issue). Then simply present your 3 months statement of account. Note: they are very strict on the 90days rule

Good Evening House,

A newbie.

Please i need very sincere advice, i had never thought of relocating out of this country permanently as i have stumbled on similar migration threads in the past here on nairaland but never give it attention.

But current happenings in the country has resseted my brains to default settings and I have to face the bitter glaring realities.

To cut the story short I'm 36yrs old and into building finishing and as a contractor our income fluctuate due to a lot of factors. I have given my business my all but things are not coming forth as expected the uncertainties are just too much.

But there is a great prospect if one can get some steady source of incoming. And raise some capital to scale considerable.

I can weld both stick and argon welding and dont mind doing this as a partime job if the opportunity is available and rewarding. I have just OND in Civil Engr. I intend to further but couldn't as i was busy with developing my company. I can work on low grade jobs in the construction industry while I run certification and whatever program that can regularize me into the system.

My wife went to a nursing school and did a 3yrs program and obtained an RN in 2015 and a 1yr 6month program and obtained a RM. She will be 30yrs by November this year 2021.

I don't intend to close my companies as it still generating income but just need to be restructured. I can remotely manage and direct the company. And if the option is available i can be visiting Nigeria bimonthly or quarterly.

My main reason to relocate is not necessarily just for money:-

1) I will gain more exposure to more better ways and concepts in the building industry which I can replicate back here in Nigeria through my company that's if there is no full blown war in the coming days, month or years.

2) My Kids will have better education and healthcare.

3) I dont want to be caught up in this country if eventually there is a fully blown war.

4) Too much uncertainty in Nigeria. No one knows what will or can happen next.

5) I need to have an alternative residence other than Nigeria.

6) My wife can work and school same time.

My wife will be the main applicant. What can boost our point?
Extra short courses? Certifications? Or other methods whatever that can help boost our point.

Please tell me the bitter truth.
I suggest your wife should be the principal applicant for Canada express entry. Simulate your scores using the CRS tool.

At the same time, she should try the UK immigration pathway for nurses. There's a thread for it in the travel section. For this, she will need to write ielts academics and pass their nursing exam. It works. Visit that thread.

Jobs/Vacancies / Re: New Federal Government Job And IPPIS Issue by ayandee: 10:39pm On Apr 28, 2021
Kman90:
Good day all. I have an issue that is bothering me. I recently got a federal Govt job. Although we've started work, but nothing too serious as the training will be coming up later. However, I am also a developer and I have been working remotely for a company (A private company).

I intend to resign from my remote work when the training starts or when I enroll for IPPIS (anyone that comes first) as it will be rigorous for me and I don't want to be collecting double Salary.
The issue is we've not even done IPPIS capturing since resumption, so no salary for now, although I learnt everything will be paid at once.

My question is: is this allowed?
Does IPPIS checks renumeration retrospectively?
Like, what has happened before enrollment, since I do not tend to continue after enrollment.
Thanks for your input.

Do both jobs. Plan your time well

you better stay in ur papa house, salary of 30k monthly would barely sustain u thru the month when u start living alone, u have not factored in nepa bill, monthly fee for security and cleaners, foodstuff and other miscellaneous expenses, when u stay with your, all these will be avoided excep[t occasionally when u give your mom money to buy food stuff in the house and once in a while buy stuff for ur parents, this will help you save a whole lot

staying in ur father's house does not slow down ur progress oga, when u stay alone, you will be exposed to whole lot that will even distract you from making some critical decisions, because i am speaking from experience.

you can be 30 and still live with ur parents, so far you are a responsible child and useful to them, no let people decieve you thatt at 25 you should have your house and all that, there is so much debit alert outside ooo so stay with your papa and be useful to ur parents, u have a job now you wont be at hme all the time and that will earn u more respect, thank you

Sometimes when I look back at my self, I was a good student, the best in my department, but after graduation I have learnt that book life is different from street life....
I have been depressed in the past, but i motivate myself and move on.
I have been teaching in one private school like that for two years now hoping job go come yet nothing nothing

Are there people wearing this same shoe of mine? If yes how are u coping
i advise you to leverage on your académic performance and actively seek scholarships abroad (Germany, Sweden, Austria, UK, US, even South Africa). I did it after graduation and it worked. I got a fully funded DAAD scholarship (everything was covered including flights and stipends) to study in South Africa.
I was not even the best graduating student. So please start using your data to search for scholarships.

That man tried though, because its even dangerous for his safety, the way the guy was charging at him, assuming the guy was armed, it can cost him his life.

The best form of defense is to attack, he ought to have at least keep the attacker at bay.

For the policeman, he shouldn't try that calm disposition in the US, in less than 5 secs, he might be killed.

And for the attacker, he shouldn't even dare that stunt in the US also, in less than 2 secs, he would have been pumped out, with at least 10 bullets (yes, US police are so good in spraying bullets)

All in all, kudos to the policeman, he really tried in keeping his cool.

Yes i agree. He should have kept the attacker at bay. They are trained to do that.

One up-and-coming Yahoo guy once walked up to me, telling me some bullshit about how he needs some help with receiving funds through Gift card. I told him that I didn't know what he was talking about and walked away.

This may sound crazy, but I somehow like the fact that coronavirus happened. Yes, it has created massive awareness that working from home is possible.

Many people work from home and have no business with cybercrime
True. The world of work has really changed. Now there are online gigs rendering significant profit without an office space, no signposts,, no tax payements. And they are legit, not fraudulent. They are in most cases rendering valuable services and earning Forex. I dont know how govt will tax them.

Except you are like extremely good in anything IT related, I'm talking better than most in Singapore. what job do you seriously think you would get in Singapore? Singapore simply doesn't hire African immigrants as teachers, and overall you would just become frustrated with life because you would be in the middle of wealth and yet still be unable to make sth of yourself.
Also going through immigration in the airport will be the first clue you will ever need that you are not welcome here, as most Nigerian immigrants are often questioned for minutes in something that looks like an interrogation room.
you have just said the truth. From the airport, you will get the vibe that you are not really welcome. So you would be more than eager to return home after your visit
