Business › Re: Is Lagos A Good Place To Build A Refinery Like Dangote Refinery? by ayandee: 10:56pm On Mar 21, 2021 |
thanks. This means Dangote has done its feasibility study well before launching out. BlueSparks: Good point.
We are now in an experimental stage in human life on earth which predicts heavy uncertainty about the future.
Let me explain. Exactly about 12 weeks ago Elon Musk posted a challenge to give 1 Million dollars to any individual across the world with the best sustainable carbon capture scientific design. Why?
It's simply because he understands that heavy and medium productive industries and facilities can't power their engines around the use of electric engines.
Engines of virtually everything on the world was and is designed to function at heavy power in its internal core that the power from solar or electric in electric car design systems for example can't power. Which means we won't technically do away with crude oil unless we have a completely new form of energy, that's relatively available, affordable and can meet industrial and machine needs. |
Business › Re: Is Lagos A Good Place To Build A Refinery Like Dangote Refinery? by ayandee: 10:46pm On Mar 21, 2021 |
BlueSparks: It's well thought out actually. It is going to unfold in phases. There is a renewal of the 1970s petroleum pipelines network that will ensure streamlined nationwide distribution to tackle the challenges of distribution
Let's not forget Lagos Ibadan expressway once functional will be freer than now.
Planned cargo rail services and heavy..
See. Let me tell you guys the truth
Dangote isn't producing for local production
That's the pure fact. Yes a good part will meet local need but the bulk of his market and his target is international market. This is where the Atlantic Ocean comes in
Kudos to Sailors in advance as much opportunities will begin to open to them
Also, Nigeria brokered an agreement with the European Union to construct a supply pipeline from Nigeria directly to Europe. Indeed his project is massive, highly beneficial to the country. And beyond. I wish him well
I see the country benefitting from it massively
I also like to postulate that he will be the richest man in the world because of this refinery within ten years of operation. nice perspective. But what do you think of the advent of electric vehicles especially in the developed world. Don't you think this will affect the profitability of the refinery at some point in the future? |

When Amcon was newly set up. I passed the written test and was invited for the oral interview. I discovered at the oral interview that some went into a room that had a panel of 6 people. Those were the connected ones. That was the real interview. After I had sat for almost 4 hours, I was sent to a room where there were 2 of their staff who had just finished eating and had toothpick in their mouths. The first question i was asked was "are you igbo?". I said no. Then the man said my surname sounded like an igbo name. That was the end of the interview. No questions about education or work expérience. They simply said they would get back to me. That was almost 10years ago.
I got another federal job that same year without connection. Simply God-factor. He upturned every table of népotism and tribalism because that was where He wanted me to work. He took away their sleep and they had to send me a text at 6.00am Saturday morning to come pick-up my letter on a Saturday so i could résume on Monday. |

Please before you quote me, note that I'm a man and I'm in full support of DNA test but this man shouldn't have released this kind of press conference especially since he knows that the kids are still in school! They will be mocked by friends and enemy. Won't be surprised if they all eventually drop out of school even at this tail end of their education (I mean the first and second children) you are quite right on this. Children who have been boasting that their father is a judge right from secondary school. They will be surely traumatised. |

SamJed: So I am a primary 4 classroom teacher and I love my children and ensure that they learn in the best way possible.
Most times I gather them around me and tell them some real life lesson, current events, science, stories, and even show them YouTube videos of some topics or discussion we had.
I was just reminiscing about what these children have done to me innocently that almost put me in trouble.
One day, before teaching a particular topic, I decided to watch some YouTube videos. One of the talkative's in the class managed to find her way to my table and saw me watching the videos.
She went back to her classmates and of all things to tell her classmates, she told them that she saw me watching a video with two naked girls and a man.
Damn It was just youtube videos. I don't know what she saw that made her conclude such. I had to quickly call all the kids together and show them what i was watching, because I knew that from class it will definitely get to their houses and that could be the start of some problem.
Another day, one of the little ladies wrote me a letter detailing how she likes my teaching and don't want me to go. According to her, I should keep teaching her till she leaves the school.
She kept asking me for a reply. I still wonder how I wriggled out of that situation.
Another one was another little lady coming to sit on my leg and gbam it spread... I initially waved it off till the proprietress called me to be wary of the kids
The little guys don't have problem apart from always reminding me of the gifts I promised them for whoever comes out best in any challenge I give.
So guys have you ever been put into trouble by kids be very careful. A guy in my church who works in the mission school just returned from kirikiri for a crime je knew nothing about. He was accused of child molestation. The truth later came out that he had nothing to do with the girl. It was someone in the child's home that was responsible. But our guy spent 10 months in kirikiri. Just teach. No unnecessary familiarisation biko |

He must have kept mute because of the money, promotion and the connections which was helping him in his own career too. I've noticed most men these days dont question their wife's finances, even when it's glaring that the family's expenditure far outweighs the known income. As long as she picks up the bills and doesnt bother them about housekeeping allowance, children's school fees, etc, they are cool with it. |
