But how can you say you dislike Kechi because of that? She was just a child when this tragedy occurred.
You're just assuming that she know something that nobody else knows just because she was inside the aircraft.

Havent you heard when people inside cars that had accident will say things like " I dont know what happened o, we were going and then next thing, the car somersaulted several times"

Please let's try to be more sensitive abeg. After the excruciating mental and physical trauma the survivors went through you still expect to hear story from them just to satisfy your curiosity. Thats not good enough.
Place no demand on anyone, especially not on those who really owe you nothing.

And this goes for the lady mourning her sister too but her own is excusable because she directly affected by the tragedy too and is seeking for answers but still, it's not fair to demand that from the survivors.

Peace!
I completely agrée. It's not fair to demand that from survivors. They may know next to nothing about what happened. They've had different surgeries, suffered both psychological and emotional trauma and you still want them to talk. To say what exactly? If anybody needs explanation, they should contact airline company or the federal aviation authorities

Okay so back with details...

Firstly EO, in my opinion you need to be very comfortable with speaking French. I immersed myself in French and I struggled a lot in both sections. I was stressed, very nervous and couldn’t communicate well even with the French I could speak. But the point is I didn’t stop speaking, I continued on.

CO, you don’t get to go back to previous questions, it is timed and it goes on to the next page after the time whether you answered the question or not. Pay attention to the texts and practice with the past questions.

CE, you can go back to the questions, so if you meet questions that you do not understand move on to the others you can and then go back to answer the ones that take time.

EE, you can move back and forth between section A and B. Answer the one you know first but spend more time on the section B.
Time really passes fast during the exam so always pay attention to the time.

To be honest, Most of the questions were new, only a few, and I mean really few past questions showed up.
I can’t really remember the questions but I’ll mention the few I do remember.

EO - call for information for a magic show at home, convince your friend to go for a vacation at at country side hiking on donkeys.
Btw I thought we’d be given time to study the and prepare questions, I found out that was false and you’d start immediately.

EE, a lady shopping in the supermarket found a weird object at the fruitS and vegetables stall
It is not useful to teach computer courses to older people.

CO and EO, i can’t really remember but study the strategy to pass it through past questions one or two old ones might pop on.

I have prayed that I get a minimum of B2 superior in all of the tests, because hmmm.
Thanks for sharing this. Welldone. We are praying for you

Thank you very much for this input , I’ll tweak and add other things I do like legal opinion, offer letter reviews , Secretary during bid meetings etc
You are welcome. For legal opinion you can put that under that 4th point. Just add "This includes providing legal opinion on sundry legal issues as required."

The offer letter can come under the 4th point. Just add offer letters after mou.

Secretary during bid meetings should come last as it's not one of the duties listed in the noc requirements

Please ensure you retain these keywords "Representing, Advising, Drafting, Legal research, Negotiating, legal opinion". They want to see them in your letter

Please a quick one for lawyers who aren’t into litigation and work with State or federal government agencies , what NOC suits the job description the most because 4112 or so doesn’t suit my job description as I don’t work in a firm and neither do I take on those responsibilities listed.
I work in The capacity of an in house lawyer but I’ve not come across any NOC that fits My job description up to 70 percent or even 80 percent at all , I’ve tried to use all sorts of words in the search box embarassed
i am an in-house lawyer in a federal agency. I used 4112.
Ensuring correct legal content of documents. This includes drafting and review of agreements/MOUs between my organization and third parties
- Representung the agency in court and ensuring diligent prosecution of all legal suits affecting the agency
-Negotiating out-of-court settlements to reduce litigation costs
-Advisingthe agency's Management on the application of laws, public service rules and régulations
-Attending to the agency's correspondences on legal matters.
-conducting legal research to détermine appropriate course of action in legal matters.

You will notice i captured most of the keywords mentioned in requirements for noc 4112 and it worked.

to those starting, or on the journey already,

LISTENING: peppa pig cartoon is your best friend. i was always watching this in A1 class then before i graduated to watch the witcher, supergirl, and wakfu in frech (without subtitles). like our seniors advice always, you must live it. even if you dont understand it, keep listening. i was also listening to RFI even when it all sounded like rubbish now i follow them to repeat their adverts on RTL. like mamaroon adviced somewhere on the thread, Prepmyfuture is essential for listening, it will train u on what to listen for. dont go and cram past questions ONLY and enter hall.make e no shock u. I started using it A2.1 and was getting 0/10. story for another day.

READING: learnt a lot of vocab and started reading at IEF, after i left i continued to read mostly french papers, novels and newspapers(not as much as i should) also started reading long texts since A2.1, couldn't understand most of it, google translate was my bestie now we discovered deepl translate.

SPEAKING: i was afraid initially, but Mr Paul gingered me, also i was always listening to french and you know it helps our speaking. propulse training, David le blanc are great resources (Mimi tef was doing me somehow) However, for the past 2-3 months i and some friend speak (and gossip) in french for at least an HOUR 5* a week. speaking on every and any subject, which helped me on exam day because i didnt pause when speaking, yes i made mistakes ( forgot the verb reprendre) but i made it with confidence. lol. also its not necessary to cram alot of things. learn it and wing the rest its a conversation with your friend (section B) not job interview.

WRITING: this one pass me. i know i make alot of errors when typing. one advise i got and ignored was to do dictation everyday to help with erreurs d'othograph and write write write and pray they bring back paper, because EE sur l'ordinateur isnt a joke. Im now taking the advice and open to others. plan to do alot of self study, continue with the french meeting with my friends, and send my writing samples to M.Paul and whoever i find again.

in all TEF na exam, dont over estimate yourself, be comfortable with the language and do targeted exam studies.

TO THOSE THAT WROTE IN JULY AND AUGUST, THAT COME AND READ HERE WITHOUT SHARING EXPERIENCE TO HELP OTHER , YES I'M JUDGING YOU!!!
Congrats on your result. As mamaroon would say "rest, refuel, refire". Ne laisse pas les bras. Tu t'en sortiras bien.

Hi all,

I come bearing great news!

After reading @ayandee French story I decided to double my efforts and achieve what she achieved.

I passed TEF in under a year after starting from scratch. (Test Centre: AF Manchester, UK). With the scores & my IELTS results, I have 500 CRS points and I'm so happy because I had 449 points before.

I was attending Alliance Française and institut Français UK but I stopped because they were too slow and charging a huge amount. Then I found my French tutor from here, he is https://www.tobidam.com and I highly recommend him. He helped me get here much quicker than I ever expected.
I used an app to track my progress and this is almost 500 hours of combined study. It's possible!

Thank God and thanks to everyone here for their tips and guidance.

Bonne chance !
Congrats. I'm happy to read about your success. May the rest of the process be smooth for you.

Ps: please do not discredit any of the schools. The schools/private tutors are there to guide with the basics. The bulk of the work lies with the individual. I encourage intending learners to attend schools or engage private tutors, whichever they find convenient.

Congrats once again

Good afternoon all, I raised a web form and this was what I got.
Your application was received via your account on January 30, 2020.

· The responsible office is currently verifying if your application meets the eligibility requirements under the immigration program for which you have applied,

o You may be contacted via your account if additional information is needed.

The security background verification has not been initiated.
The criminal background verification is currently valid.
· Your application is currently being processed at the Case Processing Centre (CPC-O) in Ottawa, Ontario.

I don’t understand it, I thought eligibility is checked first before criminal background?
have you ordered gcms notes ? If you havent done that, please do. It gives you more details. "Verifying eligibility" could mean eligibility has been recommended passed and awaiting senior officer's approval. It could also mean review required. Pls order notes.

To be a successful lawyer, you have to be sociable. Your social life should be top-notch. That's how you find clients. Carefully pick the area you live in, the church you attend, join clubs, be active in old students' associations, maintain contact with people you meet.

Be a problem solver. If your community wants to write to the commissioner of police over security issues, volunteer to write the letter. If your church wants to acquire a property, help them conduct search and prépare the deed of assignment. Your old students association needs a constitution, volunteer to draft it.The idea is everyone must know there's a lawyer around who can help résolve their issues.

Visit friends and acquaintances in their offices at mid-day. Just say you were driving by and you décided to say hi. You will be surprised at the briefs you would get. In the course of your discussion, they will remember someone is owing them and they need you to help them recover the debt. They will give you the file immediately. They can also remember there is a property they are considering for purchase. Offer to do search, deed of assignment and c of o. Some will tell you their tenants have refused to pay rent. Offer to help them administer the property as a whole. That's how you make money as a lawyer.
