Sirchiboy: I just finished my HND two months ago. I applied for a teaching job and I was called up for the interview and they offered me the job with a salary of 20k per month. I am over 30 years and I will be exempted from the NYSC because I am of aged. I am just tired of this life. Please someone should come to my aid to help me with a better job. don't take it. Instead, find a good plumber, électrician or a builder in your neighbourhood and become his apprentice. Be submissive and open to learning. In 2 years you would be better of. You can offer plumbing or electrical services and even have a shop later on where you sell materials. |
Education › Re: When Parents Storm School To Beat Their Child's Bully by ayandee: 7:13am On Dec 05, 2021 |
my son who just got into jss 1 came home one day and said a boy in ss2 punched him in the face after closing hours and flung his bag into the bush. I was pained. My husband called the principal that very night. She assured us she would look into the matter. The following morning as early as 7.00 am, two young relations who lived with us followed my son to school. As the bully was approaching the school gate, they called him aside and warned him and then told all the teachers present at the gate what he did. I cancelled all my appointments that morning and got to the school at 8.30am. I met with the vice principal. They would not allow me see the boy as this was against their disciplinary policy. But he assured him they were going to investigate the matter. When my son got back home, he told me that a panel was set up and they were both questioned. The boy was punished.
I love the school's disciplinary procedure. It was quick and transparent. It's a staff school though. |

I fear prégnancy even though i have 3 kids now. Once i see a prégnant woman, i always have empathy. When i had my second child, the woman next to my bed died some hours after delivery. None of us in that ward could sleep that night. For that moment, we forgot the pains from our c-section scars. It was a horrible sight.
I pray for all prégnant women, you will deliver safely without complications. |

very true. I made decent money buying books from importers and selling online till i ventured into some other businesses. Link up with an industry where the dealers are not interested in online business. Be the online link. Post their products online even without buying. When there's an order, you go buy from them and deliver. Very low capital entry. You don't need much money to start. ecomalchemist: Man must survive, it's a cold world out there.
Find someone who is doing a business and making sales offline. You’ll find many of them in Onitsha, Computer village, Aba, Alaba, Aspamda, Idumota, etc.

Family › Re: Her Parents Sponsored Our Wedding, Should I Be Worried. by ayandee: 5:41pm On Nov 14, 2021 |
Tonero5200: Hi.
Honestly speaking am really worried, have dated my fiance for sometime now. So we finally decided to tie the knot. She suggested we do it this year November and I concurred, so we've been saving towards it ever since.
Last 2 months I made my intentions known to her family, that I will like to marry their daughter. Due to the conversations I had With her parents, I told them I wanted it small.. because am not financialy buoyant.
But To my surprise, her dad said I shouldn't worry about it, they are going to support me ( which is most likely Normal)
(They gave me traditional rite's, which I sorted out by myself)
With the traditional right drawing close, last month I learnt from my fiancee..her parents are planning to buy 2 cow for the traditional and white wedding. (I was surprised)
The following week, the hall she choosed for the reception of the white wedding, has already been paid for by her dad which was about 500k excluding the decorations which they also took care of ( even though I opted we could have done the reception in the church)
But my fiancee told me her dad is inviting alot of well-wishers home and abroad to come celebrate with us.both his fellow staffs and all.
* I bought 2 bag of rice and groundnut oils
* We paid for the cakes
* We paid for drinks
* We sorted things out (invitation cards, pre shoot photos)
But was surprised 2 days to the traditional marriage, more expensive drinks were rolling in.
On the d day of the white wedding, I realised, they cooked more than 8 bags of rice ( coconut, jollof, banga and fried) meats were surplused. Alot of people came from her family's, while my own families were just there.. they did get the message.
Someone even said it to my mom face. THAT THIS GIRL PAPA TRY O.
please, I don't want to sound like am a bad person or I don't know good. Offcus I appreciate her parents efforts, but am just a little bit worried.
As a man, won't this come to haunt me in the future? that's how we roll here in the west. Weddings arent just about the couple. I would do the same for my daughter without thinking twice |

In this same hard économy, there are people rejecting job offers and changing jobs for higher paying ones. This is simply because they have skills that are in high demand. Those jobs are never advertised. It's the people in that field or line of jobs that recommend themselves. Sometimes employers pick-up their profiles from LinkedIn and just call them for interviews. This applies mostly to IT, cybersecurity and IT audit jobs.
If you can, find your way into that field. It's lucrative |
Politics › Re: Ndubuisi Kanu To Be Buried On October 15, 2021 - Court Rules by ayandee: 4:26pm On Oct 12, 2021 |
eldoradoxx: Usually when a polygamous man dies, his first wife and her children see it as opportunity to undo what he did while alive in marrying more than one wife. Soon after his passing, they would want to monopolize his body, divorce his second or other wife(wives) and declare the other sets of children as bastards who are neither entitled to participate in the burial of their own father nor share from his estate. But the court is always their to listen to them. If while alive, a man identified himself with more than one wife and had children from other women whether married to them or not, they are all part of the family and must participate in his burial and share of his estate. My friend that is a lawyer told me that the fact that a man had children outside wedlock does not make the children any lesser in all their father's affairs dead or alive. jtrue. There are no bastards before the law as long as the deceased recognised a child as his in his lifetime, such a child has equal rights |

Do I confront her about again or just tell her people?
My family members don't know about it yet cos if I mention it to them, her respect is gone forever.
Edit : for those asking, we were friends for many years even before we got married. I didn't marry her cos of virginity. Who virginity help?
I married her cos she was my friend and we were compatible You should confront her and tell her that rubbish must stop. As a matter of fact, she must delete the pastor's number. Call the Pastor also to leave your wife alone or you report him to his employers, if he is in an organised church like winners or redemed. Get his wife's number and tell her to caution her husband. Report your wife to her parents if all these do not work. Do everything to save your home |

1- Stationery fee; my child's school charged as high as 30K. On top Nursery 1 pikin o! Fear catch me. Abeg shey I no fit buy pencil & pen for my pikin ni?
2- Uniform fee nko? You go fear when you hear how much dem dey charge.
3- ICT charges for a Nursery child? Most private school owners won't make Heaven.
If you dare complain, they will tell you bla bla bla as if the money dey easy to make. However, I believe the bulk of the blame still lies with the government. If they had made public schools standard enough, we for get choice. But as it stands, na die we dey o. I spoke with a friend who is a school proprietor some time ago. She told me Lagos has introduced 6% tax on every school fee collected par child. So what they do is to hide a part of the fee under books and stationeries, that explains why they charge as high as 30k/50k for books. |
