[b]THE TRUTH is that 'Thisday' Newspaper did a one sided story lacking investigative journalism. Another TRUTH is that the Catholic Church is not new in the area so also is the Mosque Ground where the alleged attackers came from. Another TRUTH is that the Catholic Church should have known that Friday is a serious Prayer Day for the Muslims who pray in peace in their thousands led solemnly by one Imam and need no disturbance. Another TRUTH is that the Muslims despite praying in their thousands outside does not generate any disturbing noise. Another TRUTH is that Christians so much love the microphone and loudspeakers that they make so much noise even when they are gathered in very few number. The final TRUTH is that the Christians must have made a disturbing, loudspeakers assisted noise full of heresies while the Muslims were praying which must have led to the Catholic Church being raided by the Brave Muslims. If the picture shown is that of the mother, then she looks like someone having a spiritual problem with that kind of hairstyle, she needs to check herself up and the child called 'MIRACLE'. [b]Quite an unfortunate incident. There is no reason whatsoever for the woman preacher to have been killed. It should be said however that Christians and Muslims should preach using their commonsense. It will be illogical and antagonistic however for any Christian to be lurking around a mosque as early as 5:00am when Muslims are gathering in the mosque preparing for their very important fajr(dawn) prayer for a Christian to be delivering sermons. Once again I repeat it that this does not call for a death penalty even it does not call for a beating. May God help us use our common sense to our survival and not to our own destruction. Perhaps the woman preacher could have heeded Jesus directive to his disciples to go nowhere, but to the lost sheep of Israel. Could she have mistaken the mosque for an abode of the lost sheep of Israel? Definitely Jews do not worship in mosques. ASUU: STOP BEING HYPOCRICTICAL! What quality of education are you talking about? Is it the Post-UTME that will improve the quality of education or the regular education obtained during normal lectures? ASUU should be bold and responsible enough to liase with our lawmakers to sponsor a bill for the scrapping of JAMB if it is convinced that JAMB EXAM is not credible and cannot be relied upon. This is a duty ASUU owes Nigeria if it wants to be taken serious. Anything short of this means ASUU is only interested in dipping it's hands into the pockets of students in the name of Post-UTME. Enough of ASUU hypocrisy. Parents and Students have suffered unnecessarily since the illegal imposition of the money spinning Post-UTME. Enough is enough! Lecturers should face lecturing squarely and stop being gold diggers. |
