Words of encouragement

To all BB Integrity members, nairalanders for a better Nigeria, Nigerians who are tired of the same old dirty game, I say do not despair.  We have come this far and cannot afford to be distracted. Focus focus focus, that is the word.

So the General wept, he is indeed human. We shed these tears with him and will shed tears OF JOY on Saturday. Then we will be able to smile and laugh without suffering and without meanness. For those who cannot fathom the enormity of what is at stake here, concerning Nigeria and by extension, Africa, a psych evaluation may be in order.

The guy, dapolam, is way more levelheaded than his supporters. The electorate have every right to ask questions and kudos to Dapolam for his efforts and decency in responding.

Asking to hold a political office is basically a job application. In Nigeria of yesterday, man know man made it easy for you to coast through without going through an interview. Today, people are more aware and are asking questions

- acknowledge that lives were lost, offer condolences, plans to care for the wounded and compensation for lost lives of lost young patriots
- announce the action you took less than 2 hours after the blast such as deployment of security officials to all Inec  offices nationwide-it is okay to collaborate btw the police and the army
- state how you will not tolerate any voter intimidation. Investigations will be thorough And the perpetrators will be brought to face justice
- state emphatically that enough is enough


- it is okay to read it from a document/TelePrompTer, the key thing here is ensuring that your message is clear.
- and please, speak like you have some balls,, even pidgin is allowed if it will help your flow better.

It's 244am and I cannot sleep. Condolences for the lost lives in the Suleja blast. For us here on NL, life goes on with blames and insults being thrown around. And while we are at it, another bomb goes off claiming lives, intimidating citizens from voting.

It is a sad situation and we need to act now. If Mr Goodluck has issued a firm statement since this happened, please provide a link below. Otherwise, kindly help me collate an appropriate response from a C-in-C after his citizens are bombed at an electoral office.

“He has surrounded himself with too many drunken fishermen sailors who are talking nonsense and making him wobble and fumble through every assignment we give him. Just imagine what he did with our winning formula for the April elections.”

“As you know, we are going to win the election the usual way and we expect Buhari, Ribadu, and Utomi to go to court as usual after addressing press conferences with my friend, Jimmy Carter. We know what will happen when they get to the Supreme Court because the judgement to be read by Katisna-Alu and supported by Ogebe will be written by some of my boys in Otta. In fact, we already have anticipatory drafts and Katsina-Alu will be in Otta to practice judgement delivery next week. Let me help you understand some things.

I believe that the main job of the COAS is to protect or defend the state (not even the government) against enemies. In Nigeria, it is more like ensuring that there is no coup. If the COAS does that, his job is complete.
The army is not the police or the other security agencies whose job it is to keep law and order.
Gen Dambazau did not resign until Yar adua died because of this same reason.

Gen Ihejirika is not going anywhere because the life of the president, and the entire Nigerian state is in his hands. Gerrit now?

As for death of innocent folks in the middle belt, it is easy to see why it is happening. Nigeria's history is pretty young. Nemesis is a b&tch. But as a Christian, I would forgive them if they (as fellow Christians) ask us for forgiveness.
I would not offer forgiveness to anyone who does not ask, because the person would mistake it for weakness and foolishness. So the bloodbath continues.

As for your fears about a southern Nigeria where Muslims (like yourself) would be in the minority (hence your preference for the status quo), well, that is part of why Easterners may not want it either , because we may not want to continue having sizable number of Muslims in our new country. For that to happen, they must gradually convert to Christianity or revert back to African religion. Both religions understand the sanctity of the human life.
There is something brutal and "Hobessian" about Islam.

Be careful what you wish for. I see that some anti-islam individuals are really excited about the name alqaeda and them being responsible for the bomb blasts in Nigeria. Even to the point of linking mend to al Qaeda. Wow, i read thru all the responses and olaedo is the only one with some clue as to what this could mean for us all.

Think about it. When Iraq was attacked, did the bombs selectively pick out Muslims for death and spare the Christians? Again, be careful what you wish for. I will be very cautious in agreeing with this submission if it truly came from the US investigators. I will look out for the lives and safety of Nigerians first. GEJ, munch o that for a sec.

We must also eliminate defeatist attitudes like the preceeding poster, strangerf, not needed on a positive thread like this.

I read it and I am appalled that anyone would support this. Scary to say the least. Jeg will do better to deny knowledge or approval of such a plan. His level of desperation is getting sickening
