PoliticsRe: Benue Livestock Guard Members Protecting Farmers From Fulani Herdsmen by aylipple: 2:19pm On Mar 10, 2018
Imagine sending young able-bodied & defenseless men, who are most likely trained to defend & make arrests, to go and confront bloodthirsty terrorists armed with AK-47 & other dangerous weapons.

Anyways, man must wack, man must survive.

I don't know if it's the lighting, make up or camera but Mercy Johnson-Okojie's skin, especially the face, is looking lighter.

Anyways, congratulations to her & more endorsements under her belt.
AgricultureRe: A Farmer Proudly Displays His Harvest And Yam Barn by aylipple: 2:06pm On Mar 10, 2018
I just love how those yams are stacked; makes me imagine how Okonkwo's yam barn in late Chinua Achebe's classic "Things Fall Apart" were stacked.
TravelRe: Some Libya Returnees Have Gone Back; Accuse FG Of Abandoning Them by aylipple: 1:59pm On Mar 10, 2018
No mind them. If only government can just leave these sets of people to keep embarking on their voyages; I don't know how people will think their own problems are more important than others, who probably have even more bigger problems.

We that have been living hard here have not been attended to,it is you the prodigal children that will be given attention.
TravelRe: Some Libya Returnees Have Gone Back; Accuse FG Of Abandoning Them by aylipple: 1:56pm On Mar 10, 2018
And they think they're doing us? They can return to Libya or wherever it's they think the grass is greener for them; it's their cup of tea.

What were they thinking? That coz the FG "rescued" them from Libya it automatically qualifies them to receive special treatment? Like they're some special breeds?

There are millions of Nigerians on ground who have long been abandoned by the government & deserve to be treated with fairness & justice; those ones don't have the means to even flee the country yet someone who "jumped ship" now returns & expects to be in the front line of government's list of priorities just like that?

Abeg, join queue & wait till it gets to your turn or yes, return to wherever it's you were brought back from. Who has time for your BS?
CareerRe: I Thought I Have Gotten A Job, Cruel Boss by aylipple: 5:58pm On Mar 09, 2018
Sorry for what you passed through in the hands of your employer. If you're the bold type, can you have a frank discussion with your boss telling him about your shock regarding the tax issue especially as this wasn't included in your terms of employment.

If you deem his explanations unsatisfactory or if he doesn't even respond at all (some bosses could flare up for what they may consider your effrontery to challenge them), feel free to just wake up one morning & send him a resignation SMS.

And better luck for the future.
CelebritiesRe: Ubi Franklin Wishes Tboss A Happy Birthday, Neglects His Ex-wife Lilian Esoro by aylipple: 5:30pm On Mar 09, 2018
Who Ubi Franklin decides to wish or not wish a happy birthday shouldn't be news but since this particular OP or blogger is being petty, let me tell you something petty as well...

Ubi actually wished his estranged wife HBD. A little more checking would've shown this to be true but hey, pettiness is the new NEWS.
RomanceRe: The Day I Discovered I Was Her Personal Pleasure Object (PPO) by aylipple: 7:19pm On Mar 08, 2018
You never had a relationship. Move on with your life & stop being a needy person. Oh! You don't know you're a needy person?

Read this: "I ditch my current girl, snubs my niggas just to impart the missing Love".

You weren't "imparting" sh*t! You were just feeling the need to have someone love you desperately & when you thought you found one, your insecurities got the better of you.

Case closed.
PoliticsRe: Governor Udom Inspects 1700km Of Roads, 35 Bridges And 2nd Airport Runway by aylipple: 8:44am On Mar 08, 2018
You can inspect projects without being dramatic about it or doing it for the cameras like one governor who once took a measuring tape to measure only God knows what at a drainage construction site in his state.

Kudos to Gov. Udom for his business-like approach to governance.

Meanwhile, why is road construction the measure of a government's (whether state or federal) level of performance in Nigeria? One government after the other always look to outdo each other in that regards at the expense of affordable mass housing, quality & affordable healthcare (not just 'ultra-modern' structures), job opportunities, pipe borne water & social amenities.
RomanceRe: Pre-Wedding Photos Of A Big-Sized Nigerian Lady And Her Husband-To-Be by aylipple: 9:08am On Mar 07, 2018
Guess one man's choice is another man's dislike. You can be as big as Mount Kilimanjaro I don't give a hoot but once you've got that excess underbelly - not like you just gave birth or are pregnant - I'll gladly pass.

Anyways, congratulations to them, a happy & fulfilling married life as well.
PoliticsRe: 81-Year-Old Olusegun Obasanjo Playing Squash (Photos) by aylipple: 9:43pm On Mar 06, 2018
I'm sitting here just in awe of how much God has blessed this man called Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. At 81, he has shown no signs of slowing down. Whether history will be kind to him or not is none of my business but among former leaders of Nigeria, he appears to enjoy a special grace that makes him a force to reckon with home & abroad.

Happy Belated Birthday Baba!

Our leaders know what gets us "high" - religion - and they serve us in very large doses to keep us perpetually enslaved.

After all, it is a popular saying that religion is the opium of the masses.

PoliticsRe: Reasons Why You Should Support Pres. Buhari For Not Assenting To PeaceCorps Bill by aylipple: 2:44pm On Mar 01, 2018
The NASS will fight PMB to the last drop of blood on this one. While we need jobs, is it by creating another security agency that in reality, is a duplication of other agencies already in existence? Is over bloating Nigeria's recurrent expenditure the way out?

Instead of creating another duplicitous agency, I would've expected the NASS to pass legislation to strengthen the existence ones; better funding, modern security equipments/gadgets, retraining to meet modern day security threats, etc but coz the lawmakers have already prepared to fill the Peace Corps with their protégés & put them in good stead for re-election among their constituents, they're blinded to reason.

Anyways, I stand for better job opportunities for Nigerian youths not Buhari or NASS coz at the end of the day, both are doing little or next to nothing to improve our lots.

CrimeRe: Katsina Youths Butcher Armed Robbers In Army Uniforms (Graphic Pics) by aylipple: 10:39pm On Feb 27, 2018
Our Stockholm Syndrome is second to none in this country. Small time thieves are butchered, roasted alive, stoned to death, stripped unclad & shot to death. But the real thieves; those ones that rob us & our future generations blind & still give us the middle finger for emphasis, are carried shoulder high & even celebrated by the same people that condemn lesser thieves to gruesome deaths.

Nigeria is a paradox, really.
PoliticsRe: Presidency Appoints 12-man Committee To Probe Abduction Of Dapchi Girls by aylipple: 4:33pm On Feb 27, 2018
Too many panels, too many reports/recommendations but lack of political will to do zilch. Shebi a panel was constituted & report submitted under the GEJ administration in the wake of #ChibokGirls abduction; what became of that panel's recommendations?

And don't even get me started on the initiative that was launched amid pomp & pageantry aimed at making schools especially in the northeast safe by piloting safe schools models among others.

This is just another distraction from the stables of Sai Baba Film Productions.

The rate at which the world is advancing technologically, we may soon wake up to news of fully automated machines carrying out construction works absent humans, if that isn't already happening.

PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu And His Wife Spotted In Ghana - The Cable by aylipple: 1:12pm On Feb 27, 2018
How you even imagined that a scenario in 1984 aptly fits into today's world beats my own imagination.

Again, whether Mazi Nnamdi Kanu is in Ghana or anywhere else, dead or alive, how does that affect the current hardships confronting majority of Nigerians??

EternalTruths:
Buhari once attempted to kidnap Dikko in London.

So tell Buhari to attempt another again against KANU if truly he is in Ghana.
PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu And His Wife Spotted In Ghana - The Cable by aylipple: 12:41pm On Feb 27, 2018
One minute y'all believe the DSS is this sophisticated agency that can plan & successfully execute an interdiction on foreign soil & the next minute, it's a "Daura-controlled" (no pun) ineffective organisation.

FYI, the mandate of the DSS doesn't include extraditing or "kidnapping" wanted persons on foreign soil.

EternalTruths:
Nnamdi KANU is in Ghana and the DSS has not organized a secret kidnapping of him.?

Which school did your father sent you to.?

Go and retrieve your school fees.
Foreign AffairsRe: Florida Senate Rejects Ban On Assault Rifle, Approve Bill To Arm Teachers(Photos by aylipple: 11:58am On Feb 27, 2018
America; God's own country indeed. You're in Florida & want to shoot up your school but under the age limit to own a gun, just wait till you're 21.

You're a teacher & probably having personal issues that makes you hear voices in your head & conjures dark images before your very own eyes, you now have the authorisation to carry a gun to the classroom & just set it off, classic psycho style.

America would rather see the earth turn crimson red with blood than alter the second amendment, which gives citizens the right to keep and bear Arms.
PoliticsRe: Nnamdi Kanu And His Wife Spotted In Ghana - The Cable by aylipple: 11:44am On Feb 27, 2018
We choose to believe what we want to believe when it fits into our predetermined narrative. We, however, pick holes when that belief doesn't align with our narrative.

One day, SR is hailed when the news fits our narrative; other days it gets bashed when the news it publishes doesn't fit it.

If The Cable had reported, citing security agencies as the source that herdsmen have been heavily armed & given official cover to infiltrate a section of the country to unleash mayhem or that Aisha Buhari was caught receiving expensive gifts/cash from some persons or even that Nnamdi Kanu was indeed killed & was buried at a secret location by the authorities, most won't ask for pictures or even query this report as they are doing now.

Bottom line, a Nigerian (Igbo) lady sometime last November on her Facebook wall claimed to have encountered Mazi Nnamdi Kanu on the streets of Ghana when he purportedly went to get Pizza; this was even before anyone ever conceived that the IPOB leader may still be alive & laying low somewhere. Some of her friends on Facebook didn't believe her while others did.

Whether the IPOB leader is alive & in Ghana or anywhere else for that matter hasn't brought down the skyrocketing cost of goods & services. Whether this report is fake news or not doesn't stop the cabal around PMB from continuing with their evil machinations against the country & its peoples. Believe what you want, it doesn't change the current realities on ground.

RomanceRe: How Do I Tell This Girl I Quit? by aylipple: 11:11pm On Feb 23, 2018
I usually don't say this but you sound confused... Really.

In one breath you regale us with how you love her & she knows it but you don't know if she feels the same way about you.

In another breath, you also said she was heartbroken when you told her you were tired of "this relationship". Pls what relationship are you talking about here? The one where you wear your love for the girl on your forehead but can't tell if she even has any ounce of feelings for you??

Nonetheless, there's no easy way to break up a relationship. You've told her once you've other priorities that doesn't include her & understandably she feels bad about. You feel bad too & that's only natural now get over those guilt feelings & move on with your life or rather focus on your studies.

On second thoughts I'm constrained to suspect the roles are actually reversed; she dumped you & feels bad about it but you're heartbroken & can't seem to get over her since you already stated that you're the one in love but you can't speak to her own feelings for you.

Good luck with getting over your heartbreak! grin
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Stanbic Ibtc Interview by aylipple: 12:18pm On Feb 20, 2018
My own interview is scheduled for tomorrow at the Zaria branch of the bank but I've decided not to attend. Me & marketing are like oil & water; we don't mix. Besides, I know how demanding bank marketing job can be, it's not for the fainthearted or those without the requisite skills/connection to bring in the monthly targets.
