Although the pics are of one location - a street, I think - it doesn't take away the cleanliness and greenery of the area. Enugu has been on FP streak and for very good reasons too, hope the tempo can be sustained. |
finesounds01:No be lie. Peace man. |
misspatsy:Wow! Never knew anyone can save that much working in a high-end restaurant as a waitress. Thanks for the different perspective. |
I doubt if D'banj will make the event in light of the tragedy that befell his family. In fact, it'll be hard for anyone to immediately come out of such huge loss to start dancing, singing & smiling on stage. Keep resting in the Lord's bosom Daniel III. |
Her claim could be legit to those doubting its veracity. However, the pretty lady didn't disclose how she got or what she did that fetched her an average of N1,800/day everyday, for two months. |
This is what holds Nigeria down; nepotism. Unfortunately, majority seem satisfied or rather helpless, about the status quo. Until the day Nigerians tasked with policy formulation and implementation begin to do the right thing and generality of citizens demand equity, justice, fairness and respect for the rule of law, we'll keep going in circles. |
This pastor get better sense. He noticed the church and its surroundings were probably dirty and without knowing how to say it so as not to sound condescending to his members, he decided to introduce a spiritual angle to the whole matter. Typical of the average Nigerian whose brain goes into sleep mode when religion is involved, the pastor simply "prayed" on the brooms and declared an operation sweep away "evil". Psychology 101 |
Damnit!! He f***ed the overconfident but tactless bouncer up men. See beating ![]() |
Sly mofos. They just had to wait for the Super Eagles to get kicked out from the World Cup before calling for compliance with a court order that was delivered since June 5th. Dem for write this letter before the commencement of World Cup for Russia na; dem for see as FIFA hammer dey heavy. Nonsense and ingredient people that only know how to "spended". |
Is anyone surprised? Nigerians should be among the most cruel people on the face of this earth; perhaps that explains why we elect leaders in our own image most of the time. Wasn't during this same Otedola Bridge tragedy that some commuters lamented that transportation fares were suddenly increased by bus drivers and their ilks who were cashing in on the situation? Isn't this same country most sellers jerked up the prices of their goods citing the high exchange rate but when the rates came down from what it used to be it didn't reflect in the cost of goods? The examples are too numerous to mention of how Nigerians exploit their fellow Nigerians all because of greed and an inordinate ambition to "hammer". |
Hello dear Nairalanders and to our Muslim compatriots, kun sha ruwa lahiya? I'm not sure if this falls under the Business section but mods can help move it to the proper section if it isn't. So, some few days ago - precisely June 8, - I stumbled upon the Seyi Tinubu Empowerment Project (STEP) and for the first time, applied for something of that nature. I wasn't sure what to expect, nonetheless, I knew it wasn't going to be a tea party. Fast forward to this morning, Wednesday, June 13, I received a mail from the project manager - it was also sent to 74 others - congratulating us for making it to the second stage of the STEP screening process. We were all instructed to report at a specific address in Lekki, Lagos State same day by 10am Prompt. However, after the obvious error was pointed out by some recipients, the date was corrected to Thursday, June 14 and this was promptly communicated to us in a follow up mail. However, I was dismayed that the organizers didn't take into cognizance the fact that some of us may be coming from outside Lagos; I for one is based in Kaduna. While the advert did outline the schedule of events (dates and venue) for the entire program, successful participants for the second stage should at least have been notified 48hrs before; that way, we, or speaking for myself, I would've been able to prepare (get transport fare, arranged light packing for travel, etc) adequately and hit the road to Lagos. While I thank the organizers for finding me and many other young Nigerians worthy of making it to the screening stage, I think it wasn't a properly thought idea to send the invites at such a very short notice. Who else got this mail? What are your thoughts and will you be attending the screening tomorrow?

Damn! I wanted to respond specifically to some of the things outlined but then I realised the O.P may've just copied and pasted the entire thing without probably reading through it all and ascertaining some of the claims contained therein. For that reason, I'll just say thank you Mr. President for restoring our health facilities to world class standards after successive PDP administrations failed to do nothing. Oh! I also forgot to mention our new refineries; how can we not be grateful to you for stopping importation of refined petroleum products and ensuring we now refine our crude oil locally. The achievements are just too much and so glaring that I can't finish naming them all but remember how you promised to ensure Nigeria is secured? We're grateful, especially those of us in Kogi, Benue, Nasarawa, Kaduna and Taraba States for securing our lives and property; we now sleep with both eyes closed and our doors barely locked due to watertight round the clock security. What's wrong with me sef? How could I've forgotten your rice revolution Sir? With the way you empowered local farmers specifically the CBN anchors borrowers programme, 7 out of every 10 Nigerian families now boast of at least, a bag of locally-grown rice (size doesn't matter, at all at all na winch). We now have so many employed youths Mr. President, so much so that the jobs are in excess, many of us are now leaving the country through the Sahara Desert and over the Mediterranean to get across to Europe just to relax so our brains don't explode from too much work. Ehen, how can I be an ingrate by not mentioning your anti-corruption war? I just read that Baba Iyabo is pissing in his pants after he learnt of how you abused nonsense and ingredient out of late dictator Sani Abacha for almost looting Nigeria dry. Sai Baba!! After you na you jare. All other Nigerian leaders before you are counterfeit. |
If Nigerian media don't end up setting Nigeria on fire with sensational news headlines & reports akin to beer parlor gossips, nothing will set the country on ; not even PMB and his sometimes mouth diarhea. I was expecting to see the alleged robbers caught by vigilantes in Benue as "Tiv robbers" or "Idoma robbers", alas, what I read was just 'bandits' with no ethnic affiliation. If these same men had been Fulani, the headline would've mostly likely read "Fulani robbers" or something of that nature. Worse still, if these alleged robbers had succeeded in their mission & people were probably killed, news headlines tomorrow would've screamed "Fulani herdsmen continue killing spree in Benue". Can Nigerian media please be circumspect with its reports on the ongoing killings especially in Benue? While there's no doubt that some Fulani herdsmen are responsible, there's also no doubt that some purveyors of evil have hijacked the situation for a predetermined end; and these people are likely not Fulanis. |
Very humble Obi of Onitsha. The Amanyanabo of Opobo Kingdom too. |
Like most commentators advised, you should check the car out with a mechanic that you have confidence in and knows his onions. Meanwhile, I have a clean Peugeot 407 (2008), Mercedes Benz GL 550 4Matic (2010) and E350 4Matic (2010), all for sale. Aforementioned vehicles are Nigerian used, currently in good working condition and situated in Abuja. |
This list is an injustice to Nigerian male celebs that "kill" in suits. What's Patoranking, Denrele, Denola Grey & Don Jazzy doing on that list when we've people like RMD, Mr. P of PSquare, Uti Nwachukwu & Lynxx or even Frank Edoho?? |
You'll visit the website again and login this time using your username (registered email address) and the password sent you, which is your application code. After logging in successfully, to the top right where you see Home, Applications (located under the logout button), click the latter and select 'My Applications'. The format I just listed above is based on using the "desktop site" in chrome browser on my mobile phone. Titusolufemi: |
Now that may be as a result of congestion on the servers or some other technical reasons I'm not aware of. Just don't give up and hope you've a good internet connection? Like I earlier mentioned, I did mine using my mobile phone and I didn't experience any glitch. Best of luck. Yewandequeen: |
Unfortunately, I can't access my email now or anytime soon. beejhay69: |
I didn't even pay attention to that aspect before now; no, it didn't. The referees too. DreamSonInlaw: |
I don't know how I can be of help per say but did you resize the passport? It should not be lesser than 50kb and not exceeding 100kb in size. Hopcy: |
In my own case, less than 2mins. emmiesky: |
You'll receive two emails; the first containing your application code, username and password is sent after filling your name, valid email, state, LGA etc You'll visit the website again and login this time using your username (registered email address) and the password sent you, which is your application code. After logging in successfully, to the top right where you see Home, Applications (located under the logout button), click the latter and select 'My Applications'. The rest should be easy from then onwards. Once you've successfully completed the process - upload of passport, selecting yes/no to the question have you worked with the FRSC before and checking the box confirming all the information you've provided is correct - you should receive the email thay reads "Your application has been successfully submitted and is pending review..." Hope you find the information useful. P.S: I used Chrome on my mobile phone (desktop site) during the entire process without a glitch. You should also resize your passport photograph to between 50 and 100kb but not more or less than the minimum size. emmiesky: |
It wasn't up to 20mins ago that I successfully applied via the recruitment portal & received acknowledgment email; perhaps I was just lucky. |
It appears the OP is indirectly "employing" miners on his behalf for N1,000 per particular number of ETN mined. Wehdone sah! |
As in ehn... I tire. I was born, bred and grew up in Zaria and have lived there for most of my life until last month when I'd to travel and it beats my imagination that someone will just take the opinion of a few persons and try to portray it as the general view of the populace. I can tell anyone who cares to know that except something gives between now and 2019, El-rufai will win Zaria by a landslide and there's nothing PDP can do about it. APCsupporter: |
Failure must have a different definition of you consider El-rufai one. What yardstick did you use in arriving at that conclusion by the way? Will you call someone who dualized (actually an 8-lane road now) the road from Kawo a failure? Began the simultaneous construction of drainages across the state to check flooding (project had some challenges and had to be stopped; fraud I learnt)? Installation of street lights? Renovation of schools and health centres? Created job opportunities (KASTELEA) etc how do you call such a person a failure for crying out loud? No government is perfect and neither is Gov. El-rufai but to call him a failure is the height of blind political loyalty. Meanwhile, since we're talking facts, Buhari won Kaduna in the 2011 Presidential Election; a quick check on Google could've saved you this glaring gaffe. And don't even mention the 2007 presidential election; even the winner admitted the process was wrought with massive irregularities. QnyeBarcanista: |
This line "APC is not popular in Kaduna" is becoming boring, really. Y'all visit KD for some few days, speak with some people who are obviously sympathetic to PDP & assume that's the general opinion across the state. Please tell me, with the ongoing dualization (I don't know if it has been completed now as I've been away from Zaria for about a month now) of the road from PZ to old Kano road, the Zaria modern water works project (which billions were squandered under past PDP administrations including Makarfi's) to others across the state, tell me how El-rufai won't win a second term? Obviously you've a spot spot for Makarfi, I do too as he was in my opinion, the best governor KD ever had since 1999 until El-rufai came and raised the bar. However, to conclude that he is "the silent bulldozer of APC and Buhari in the North", not even KD, is a fantasy taken too far. TonyeBarcanista: |
Nice read. However this part "I realised that the unfortunate, divisive, bitter and evil government of Nasir Elrufai does not represent the true character of Kaduna people. I pray they correct the anomalies in 2019 Gubernatorial election" questions your judgment of personalities & their achievements. You spent how many days in KD & within that period you "realised" that the government of Malam Nasir El-rufai is "unfortunate, divisive, bitter and evil?" El-rufai may be controversial, strong-headed especially when taking decisions & a bit condescending (which by the way are my views of his person from a distance), his administration hasn't been any of the things you painted above. By God's grace, come 2019, the will of the good people of Kaduna will prevail in bringing back El-rufai for a second term as Governor. |
