Okay, here I am again...

It is sickening watching this comments rolling back and forth.
Do you have genuine questions, really want to know, ask me...I would tell you.

There are many types of people in this world, of course we know that, and we definitely all aren't wishing "forward" in like manner.

If you are getting fun out of this, or just being an antagonist due to pessimistic nature, please, please, and I really mean please, know that you can be ignorantly causing unnecessary tantrum in the dept of Geosciences Unilag.

As for those who think the lecturers threatened us? Do you not think you are blinded by what you wish, rather than TRUTH? Do you really think any of the lecturers would be so adamant to even threaten us? Shouldn't that be more trouble for them? As we would hold the threats as evidence against them. But you know what, no matter what I say here, those who will be against will be against.

As for those who really want to know, who really cares, first of, GOD BLESS YOU. I speak on behalf of the students once again, we have not been threatened, and will not be. We have only come out to stand by the truth.

Many replies concerning new accounts today. I explained earlier. Our image is being wrongly tarnished on nairaland. Most of us, if not all, don't have an account on nairaland. And we have decided as a class, to say NO to this roping against us. And if I may know, what really is the point if we all created the accounts today? Shouldn't you be more interested in what we have to say?.

Lest I forget, I was off for a while. And now I am back online, only to see insults and all flying in. On behalf of those insulted, I sincerely apologise for this. Please do try to understand all these are coming from angered and offended minds. I am sorry for that. I didn't put up this post to turn this thread into an arena, i did this so that all who have been fed the wrong information, the truth be made known to them.

God bless you who understands, God bless you friends, God bless Geosciences.
Actually, this so called disclaimer is what is tarnishing your image.

By the way, how does a post on nairaland tarnish "your image"?

I've adopted the siddon look approach on this one because lots of things do not add up.
I remember reading an interview where she narrated why she was being hunted down by the cabals.
I equally read the Hyde Park story and knew instantly that the Mckenzie guy had been compromised.
Hyde Park? On British Soil? Diezani wants to buy? A Nigerian? A Nigerian owns Hyde Park?Well, I'll take it for what it is --- News Sensationalism.
Well, we'll keep watching.
Howdy na?smiley
The McKenzie did not say she wanted to buy Hyde park, he said "with £13 billion, why buy a flat in Hyde park when you can buy the whole Hyde park."

As for a Nigerian owing Hyde park, if you have the money, you can buy it. Gatwick is owned by group led by a dude with a Nigerian name.

As for Dieziani, let her answer for her actions...when people start to use the word "cabal" in there defence, there's a high chance they are guilty

If you read strive Masiyiwa's post very well, you will notice he never mentioned Tinubu's name. If he can mention James Ibori's name clearly, I really don't see why he can't mention Tinubu's name clearly as well.

In my opinion, if Tinubu also demanded for bribe like Ibori did, he must have done it through a third party and not directly in a way that it could be traced to him. I came to this conclusion simply because Tinubu has travelled severally to the US and UK without harassment. If Ibori was arrested and prosecuted on the strength of the petition sent to the US and UK by strive, I don't see any reason why they will let Tinubu off the hook if he is also guilty. Curiously again, Strive has refused to mention him directly in the bribery scandal. Tinubu was probably smart enough to cover his tracks.
You are on point. Tinubu is an accountant by training so he probably knows how to hide his money trail well.

I have a problem with some of you, you aregue for argument sake. Who said there was a law? This was my statement

Is that too hard to comprehend?

The Civil Service is NEUTRAL in scope and is meant to be loyal to the policies and programs of the ruling government. It has no business with the partisan interest of government. Hence, you will NEVER see opposition parties tackling a Permanent Secretary BUT a Minister. The Permanent Secretaries don't participate in political rallies and campaigns BUT the Minister does. The workings all over the world on Civil Service and Public Service is the same.
I suggest you take a course in logic.
The "Ministers of the federation are partisan in scope" is wrong because you cannot prove it and i cannot take your word because it means nada.

The fact that a minister was appointed by a president doesn't mean the minister is loyal to the president.

Sometimes it is VERY good to use your brain to think...

1. Political party sponsor a candidate for office of the President.
2. The President is to work towards implementation of party manifesto.
3. He employs his ministers who help formulate policies and see to their executions in line with President/Party agenda.
4. THE ministers are exxpected to be LOYAL to the President and defend his government against opposition parties.

Common sense should dictate to you that Ministers are partisan people, hence, majority (if not 100%) are picked from ruling party. The few outsiders (if any) are naturally enmeshed into the ideals of the President's party. Common sense 101
There is no law that states that a minister should be partisan.

Learn about what you intend to speak about. The constitution mandates that for someone to be made a minister he must meet the same criteria that is mandated for a senator. He must be a member of a political party and must be well known to the political class. So PMB can not make a Perm.sec a minister.
Yeah Okonjo Iweala was a member of pdp when she joined OBJ's government right?
Politics › Re: Ministers Are Very Important And Not Noisemakers: A Reply To PMB by AZeD1(m): 7:31pm On Sep 16, 2015
TonyeBarcanista:
1. Ministers are not 'mere' representatives. You gotta read
2. The constitution and relevant laws still specified some duties of the minister. For instance, the Attoney-General must give a go-ahead before any Security Agency can prosecute any case. The Petroleum minister is the statutory chairperson of NNPC. The aforementioned roles cannot be performed by the President except he takes charge of the ministries like Obj did.
3. No sane government function without cabinet. Go figure!
The term "minister" is a title with the only requirement to bearing that title being confirmation by the senate. So just like OBJ was the minister of petroleum during his own time, Buhari can appoint the permanent secretaries or any one from the ministry as minister and your "cabinet" is formed.

Bike shedders like you are the problems with this country.
Politics › Re: The Politics And Insincerity Of Bailout Funds. by AZeD1(m): 3:07pm On Sep 16, 2015
Whynotthetruth:
A proactive and responsible government should have before dispensing the funds asked some questions like;

1)Isn't there the risk of some governors especially those who mismanaged their allocations in the past during oil price peak repeating same with this bailout?
The answer to this can be found in the schrodinger's cat puzzle
Whynotthetruth:
2)Didn't the president deem it fit to set up a committee to actually find out the exact state of finance in some of these states, to know if there are other causes outside
reduced allocation for these salary arrears accumulation?
The states are autonomous units and the FG has no power to ask the states for an account of their finances. Although he could blackmail them into showing it, but you'd be the first to scream Buhari is a dictator if he had done that. You need to understand what democracy entails.

Whynotthetruth:
3)Didn't the President feel it was important to know why states like Anambra are not indebted while others with similar fortune are? Because it is a pointer that something is definitely wrong with some indebted states outside the general crises of reduced allocation...
No, its not his business. States are free to manage their resources how they like. Does your employer ask you how you spend your money?
Whynotthetruth:
4)What is the possibility of dispensing bailout directly to beneficiaries account to avoid hoarding or diversion by state governors?
Seriously? How exactly is he supposed to do that?

Whynotthetruth:
5)Aren't president encouraging corruption by not doing diligent and painstaking analysis of issues before pouring more water into a basket to hold?
How?

Whynotthetruth:
6)Can some of these governors be trusted with loans that may keep their states indebted for the next 20years? Such that a baby born into such states today already has a future encumbered with debts[/b]
Nothing Buhari can do about that. Or should he stop the allocations of governors that can't be trusted.

Funny enough he makes the most noise.

The MONEY had to be returned at the appropriate time (today) after ICPC are done with necessary documentations/process and not necessarily WHEN House of Representative decide. The most important is that..Money was recovered and safely kept under GEJ before the return.

Go figure how long it takes EFCC and ICPC to return recovered funds to appropriate quarters since their formation. Do you know how long it takes the Swiss to return Abacha loot or repatriate recovered funds? This isn't a one-day thing.
Safely kept under GEJ? Seriously?
How was it stolen in the first place if it was safe under GEJ?

Just so you know, when they are doing the FG's account the money would appear in the September column with Buhari as president.
From May 29th 2015, Every thing that happens in Nigeria (good or bad) would be attributed to Buhari.

What are you saying? Money was recovered by ICPC, offenders arrested and the money kept. Don't you know that Police, ICPC, EFCC don't return moneies immediately after recovery? The most important is that the money was RECOVERED under GEJ, Kept by ICPC and they were asked to hand it over to Environmental Ministry by the Reps under GEJ.

10000000% credit goes to GEJ administration. Buhari is yet to recover N1 of stolen funds.
Your second link says the house of reps gave the ICPC 7 days (April 24th) to return the money, so what happened since April 24?

No more reports on bomb blasts. And if it were to be that there were none, it would be most appreciated but they have all been bought so nobody wants to report any seeming "anti-governance" event.

If the press is already compromised, this isn't democracy we are in. Na God alone will help us.

Interesting...

What has CHANGED ?

The last explanation from American government for not buying oil from Nigeria anymore is described below.

- Does it mean that America oil production has dropped to make it now intending to buy crude oil from Nigeria ?

- Could it be a wicked policy to punish the unyielding president at the time ?

- Do we now have a president who is ready to do the bidding of the modern slave master ?

Fellow Nigerians,

Please what has really changed ? abi dis too naa the body odour or na body language una dey call am ??

According to the White House Economic Council Director, “across the last several years, US oil production has ramped up significantly by more than 50 percent to now over eight and a half million barrels per day.”

He explained that such a high turn up in local US oil production “has now dramatically reduced our dependency on imports,” Zients noted, adding that “in fact, we now produce more here than we import.”

https://www.nairaland.com/2063726/why-stopped-buying-nigerias-oil
Shale production is only profitable at $50 dollars and above , right now oil is trading far lower than that so shale producers are scaling back production.
That the US stopped buying oil from Nigeria had nothing to do with GEJ.
Not everybody is as malicious as you.

Politics › Re: Another Look At Buhari's Technocrat Story... by AZeD1(m): 1:03pm On Sep 03, 2015
Whynotthetruth:
1)Have Buhari considered the injustice therein in denying a worker deserved freedom for career growth by leasing out top positions in any organization?
CG of customs is a political appointment so nobody was denied career growth. CBN boss was brought from outside so was the NNPC boss and other government agencies.
There's a reason why the constitution gave power the president to make that appointment.
Whynotthetruth:
2)Did Buhari consider the danger of low morale among workers and other disastrous effects of such disincentive?
There's no way it can cause moral because most employees in the civil service (plus the military and para military) know that heading the various government institutions is a political appointment and not by automatic promotion.

Whynotthetruth:
3)Did Buhari consider how long and the cost in terms of resources and time it will cost the country to train and teach an outsider(in this case; Hameed Ali) the custom job?
What training are you talking about? Hammed Ali is not going into the field... He's an administrative head, he's ruled a state so he should know one or two things about running an agency.

Whynotthetruth:
4)Isn't Hameed Ali going to be tutored about the job requirements and processes by same officers that supposedly failed Buhari's integrity test?
Tutored in what? You do know there are training manuals right and there's a thing called self learning?

Whynotthetruth:
5)Hameed Ali sure like men of his age isn't ICT compliant in the actual sense of it. How is he going to effect topnotch positive changes and improve on systems he doesn't understand or protocols he isn't familiar with? ...Isn't this a square peg in a round hole?
Who told you Hammed Ali is ICT compliant? Assumption is the mother of all f**k ups
Whynotthetruth:
6)Isn't Buhari by this appointment endangering the successes already recorded under previous administration in Nigeria Customs?
How? Read the earlier comment about making assumptions.

Whynotthetruth:
7)If the story that top officers failed integrity test of Buhari is true(though to me, it is a lie); hence his choice of outsider, Will his appointee become an omnipresent to oversee this agency with only corrupt officials and personnels? Won't it be better if Buhari sacked all custom personnels and seek new angelic personnels?
The fish rots from the head. E.g In sports, all you need to do is to change the coach and the results are different. Apply that analogy here.
