lordZOUGA: I think the question mark means.. Have those options been considered? If those options have not been considered then it should be given consideration lordZOUGA: the software should get budgets from server that are in pdf formats and present them in a structured format to the user?Yes users will see it in a structured format. The plan is to make it so simple anybody who sees it can understand it. lordZOUGA: It should have a library? Will be considered. lordZOUGA: Should know unread and already read?Right now @kobo is reading from an excel file into the database. the pdf we got from the budgets office website was/is being transferred to excel by @kobo and @gozzilla lordZOUGA: Users should be able to comment and mark budgets as executed or not?For now users wont be able to mark budgets as executed or not. As for commenting, i will include it thanks. lordZOUGA: Should be able to convert between formats(this should probably exist on server tho)?We will also incorporate this. Thanks. |
lordZOUGA: the software should get budgets from server that are in pdf formats and present them in a structured format to the user? Are you making a suggestion or asking a question? |
Lalaska: I dey find committee jobBros me self they find committee job oh. |
There is a reason why factories are leaving Nigeria to Ghana, which is cost of manufacturing. Solve that and importation will die slowly. |
After reading some comments on this thread, i officially GIVE UP on Nigeria. |
gozzilla: @A-zedOk. you said you wanted to chat with me. Email me on azedsix@yahoo.com. harryobas: @kobojunkie Do u have a sort of baseline architecture for this project that can serve as a quick learning aid for interested developers who which to know more about the project with a view of joining the project at some point.Would get back on this one. |
If anybody is interested in working on the project let me know. You don't have to be a programmer. |
@kobo I would write the client but i need to know the public methods of data service. ps i know you don't want private im's but i would like to contact you. |
ifihearam: @dayokanuWere you not among those saying we should 'praise' GEJ for the elections in Edo? |
While we are 'praising' GEJ for a free and fair election, we should also remember to thank, Y'ardua for dieing and OBJ for installing Y'ardua and GEJ |
Yes you can connect a windows program to an online database. All you need is the connection string. |
@Kobo Are you using vb.net or C# for the service? |
Kobojunkie: Good to know. I went ahead with the idea of building a data service to serve the data that we hope to put together. I am still data transform work but data that I am 70% ok with, I will make available via the service should anyone need it. The service is built using WCF .NET technology with SQL Server on the back.I will work on that. |
gozzilla: A_zed have you got time on your hand so we can talk.yeah we can talk. Kobojunkie: @A_zed, you need to make yourself more available here. We are here to help bring your dream to light and we would really appreciate it, if you get more involved and help move this forward, faster.I will be more available from now.... |
xterra2: Wait is this a desktop or a web application ?It's a web app. |
gozzilla: Project manager where art thou? Kobojunkie: @A_zed, I think I have enough data at this point, for us to move forward.Sorry all for the time away. I just relocated to a new country and i'm trying to settle down. I'll go through the last post and i should make a serious comment regarding the project. Ps since data is available thanks to kobo, lets suggest a language/framework. I'm comfortable with vb.net and php, beginner level with python, java and C# |
strangest: Seriously even if government want to settle them I believe 30percent of the whole entitlement should be okay for them. Who is going to settle those cybercafes, companies and industries that shut down just because they couldn't afford to run on diesel, who is going to pay me for all those foodstuffs that spoilt in my refrigerator just because the power that I paid for was not on all the time, who is going to pay me for all those electronics that I lost due to instability in power. Retaining them should be out of the question unless they are willing to upgrade themselves, I wonder how many of them that can use a computer talkless of running those softwares oyibo dey use monitor power generation and supply. Another issue will be how the privatisation is going to be.Dude you are one ignorant fellow. |
lanrewajew: Hi justwise, the required amount covering maintenance has bin sitting I̶̲̥̅̊n̶̲̥̅̊ my account for two months now. My visa application got delayed by the late arrival of my toefl score report. I hope its ok τ̲̅ǿ present the bank statement even though its way past 28 days. ThanksYes you can use the account. 28 days is the minimum number of days. I applied for my visa in may with an account that had not seen a transaction for over 5months and i got my visa. |
Why is everybody blaming phcn when all they are doing is directive from the fg via nerc? |
Is it a crime to know the Phd thesis of the president? My question is for all those who are abusing the OP |
Cavenchy: Thank God I just picked up my Visa!!! Justwise, A-ZED, Kunlewoye and all that contributed words of advice and encouragement, may God reward y'all abundantly.Congrats dude..... |
honey86: How do you notarize an affidavit?Same way they notarize all documents. A notary lawyer(not sure of the name). If you are in lagos, go to ikeja high court |
4evergod3 Question for you...... Why was the apostle paul not married and what was his teachings on marriage. Translate the following in to yoruba 1)Tunde is my brother 2)Tunde is my cousin. |
freecocoa: Oga thank you sir, where's my present? The committee on your present is working on it. |
Madam happy birthday.. |
I just wonder why the sss did not catch Farouk in the act. I'm think both of them are guilty and are just trying to see who goes down first. |
Sorry for being awol.... i just relocated and i'm still not at my final destination. gozzilla: NIce idea. Basically some one raised the point that this is just a glorified data capturing project. The thing is I see nothing wrong with that. Data has been one of the things that is really lacking in our country, and any attempt at helping out is great. So here is how I see it. Maybe we should focus first (and actually begin) on deciding on what data to capture, the how and how to verify the integrity of the data.We are starting with the FG's budget which can be gotten from the budget offices website(Check page three for the link.) so unless the budget office puts up mis leading infomation, we are 99% sure of the integrity and accuracy of the data. |
kunlewoye: Thanks..will need ur info later. u can look up Oye Ijiwoye on FB.Just sent you a friends request. az is the name. |
Cavenchy: Thanks man, keeping my fingers crossed and praying to God mine comes out Next week.God willing it will.[quote author=kunlewoye]Thanx mate! Dapto: You are not saying anytin if u made d £1000 accomodation down payment or not.Pls dude respond I begI did not pay any money for accomodation. |
ibudes: Thank You Just wise and thank you all that have helped one way or the other, Please correctJustwise has said it all. @all rather than give any money to agents, send it to justwise. Just get numbers 1-3 on your list and submit it. Make sure your documents are GENINUE. Any mistakes(dob, name spelling) get an official document(affidavit which should be notarized ) to back you up and make sure you specify the mistake in your form. |
