It's Ironic that the OP has the monicker "HighIQ" when he has a low iq.
Bsc courses are "breath" based because at the age of 16-18 when most people enter the UNI, they really don't know what they want to do, so they study their passion.
Besides the aim of going to the uni should be to get knowledge not get a job.
I studied Mathematics and i have never taught, I know a guy who studied Psychology and he's making serious money. |

oduastates: Most of those who bought those power companies have no clue . They do not have investible capital ,no technical know-how and no history in the power industry . If they were viable , the commissioning of power plants and other installations will be in the news everyday . Remember when GSM licenses were granted ? GSM were building something everyday of the week. It is simply the usual sharing of government property. create dummy firm to extract rents from the government and the people . Comparing power with Telecomms is the height of ignorance. |

ziccoit: Home should be the focus of the government if they really want to keep these children in school. Since the primary aim of feeding them is to keep them in school which is now failing, government should review the program and make it "home focused". What do I mean? Calculate what it takes to feed a child in a month. Tell the parents to make sure their wards and children come and sit at school. Ask the parents to come forward for their children feeding expenses at the end of each month if they sit at school. Don't give the parents of those who sit out of school.
Employ computer analysts to tie various children to their parent to avoid multiple parentage and claims. Good idea but there's a slight problem with this, parents would start giving birth to more children just to get more money from the government. |

If he can give orders for prepaid meters to be distributed, can't he give the order for them to give constant power supply to consumers He can give orders for prepaid meters because you can cheat the customer with estimated billing same way NCC can mandate telcomm companies to register the users but can't mandate them to build a mast or a base station. |

sonOfLucifer: I get your drift. I just worry that every time we 'request' for infrastructure, we provide jobs for other citizens. Right now, there's an 18-year old German engineer building a private plane our GO's and business men are praying for. But right now, we are stuck with the chicken and egg problem, We need infrastructure, which cost money that might be stolen. We can't get into serious manufacturing without power, we need money to get power, we don't really have money........ We just need to get the basics right and hopefully we can push on from there as a country. |
Business › Re: CHINA Seeks More Crude Oil Exports From Nigeria by AZeD1(m): 10:14am On Mar 14, 2016 |
Sweetlemon: *sighs* I don't know o. But does it not look like we are selling Nigeria to China? You don't Give out your main source of income in exchange for anything o. Maybe when we can diversify the economy we can do that. But for now........ Right now, selling to China for like 18 months might not be a bad idea . sonOfLucifer: And when our oil dries up, what happens? Why not get them to invest in education and student exchange programs, so our citizens can learn how to build these infrastructure? This way, irregardless of what happens to oil, we'd have indigenous engineers who would be able to build and handle these projects. I don't mean give them for life, you can quantify how much an oil block would give you in a year, so rather than sell oil to China for cash, would trade for infrastructure. I hope you get my drift |

ratiken: That is another $500million budget of yams to be looted by Kachikwu and his cohorts.
Nigerian government should have nothing to do with stuffs as technical as crude refining. FG has failed in running every know govt outfit ranging from Nigerian Airways, Nigerian Railways, NITEL, NEPA, NIPOST to even simple National stadiums. They will only continue to steal these funds and Kachikwu is only trying to cut his own cake cos its clear to the deaf that those refineries cannot work to meet our capacity.
In the Oil and Gas upstream, FG entered a JV partnership with the Shells, Mobil, Chevron, Total, Agip etc ...... why cant they enter same JV partnership in the downstream sector (refineries)? They can own majority shares in the partnership (like 60%) while the partner operates the organizations just like the upstream.
There are private outfits whose core business is refining, lets get them involved. We should stop fooling ourselves, govt has no direct business in the refining business If you have been paying attention, you would know that Kachikwu doesn't want the government to run the refineries. Even this statement says he wants the individual units of the restructured NNPC to be run profitable. You need to go back and read his take on the refineries. |
