Ecoterrorist: Adeosun has always worjed in an accounting field for most of her careers and the way the UK is ztructured and developed even a graduate in fisheries will do well in the energy ministry becsuse their system has evolved unlike our osn which is still in embryonic stage and needs technocrsts to take us to the UK level If someone can be governor, they can definitely run a ministry. |

TippyTop: So who or what do we blame for the non performance of Buhari's ministers? The performance of Buhari's ministers is subjective. |

Ecoterrorist: I ve been watching the continuos slide in every facets of our economy and i stand to be corrected that one of the reasons was because PMB put square pegs in round holes by appointing people who dont have any competence or qualification in the ministry they were posted to. I read management in school and i can tell you that if you put me in a technical ministry like Power i will have difficulty delivering to my optimum because the lexicons are not what im conversant with. Some ministers like Fashola who is a lawyer by profession has failed to deliver because he has a zero in the technical know how of power generation. Another person is Kayode Fayemi who is on ghost mode in solid minerals ministry because he cant even diffrentiate between a bauxite and Tin Lets not mention a medical doctor who was given the post of labour and productivity to generate employment for Nigerians but so far has only provided job for John Ocholi son. Do you want us to talk about an accountant in Finance Ministry, no comment The way forward is Putting Square pegs in Square holes 1) The finance minister is an Economist, simple google search would help you. 2) Ministers are policy drivers and the fact that you will fail in a technical ministry says a lot about your intelligence (No offence). - Head of World bank is a Medical doctor - The UK Secretary of State for Energy studied History - The UK Minister of State for Energy studied Political Science. 3) Unless your definition of technocrat means something else, a good number of the ministers were doing well in the private sector before they joined government. |

Setaje: What does Buhari no. Do u think it's Buhari bringing the ideas. Kachukwu is the brain box. If he convinces Buhari on anything. It will happen but if it backfires, who will take the fall? Hence I am saying he better not make any decision that is irreversible and then in turn hurt the government of the day. Everyone know Kachukwu is the brains but he will no go to press without informing the President |

MIPNIG: He dribbled and landed Nigerians in longer fuel queues. That is senselessness born out of thinking you are sensible. There's no way you are going to restructure NNPC without queues or change Nigeria without problems. Kachukwu is doing a good job. |

Setaje: The truth about this man is he means well for the country but he doesn't know that the Nigerian system of government is beyond speaking American English and attending havard university and nnpc is not ExxonMobil mobil where he is coming from. Any man that knows what he is doing and loves his career would never accept any fg job from a country like this. The corruption is so ingrained that they will rubbish you and your achievements as they rubbished okonjo iweala and many other prominent men that came from abroad to serve the country. On the contrary, Kachukwu is very smart. Best way to beat bureaucracy is to dribble them. |

mycar: What I think the op is talking about is the reality on ground and not propaganda from the government. The worst of them all are the frauds in the PHCN, outrageous bills, illegal Bank charges. Imagine first bank charging all their customers N100 every month on savings account instead of the usual interest under GEJ. Extortion everywhere, mass sack, salary deduction in some places. How is the President's fault when a private business decides what to do? You do know that you can choose not to bank with first bank? |

ANTONINEUTRON: My broda, gve counter points. Not insulting.
Na lie? Gej no quadruple us from 4th in Africa to Number 1?? Please go and learn what GDP means. Counter points, He claims GEJ left exchange rate at 185 to the dollar which is a big lie as at May 2015, the exchange rate was 199, same as it is now. https://www.poundsterlinglive.com/best-exchange-rates/us-dollar-to-nigerian-naira-exchange-rate-on-2015-05-20He says there is no Economist in Buhari's cabinet but the Finance Minister is an economist. (Wikipedia would have helped). Buhari spends more on external trips Estacode for external trips are fixed by the RMFAC and not the president. We saw the size of GEJ's cabinet and we've seen Buhari's own, do the maths GEJ sold fuel for 87, Buhari is selling for 87. Buhari makes money from selling fuel instead of paying subsidy, The subsidy payments made by Buhari were payments GEJ couldn't pay. |

amiskurie: U have a very good point.mile 12 was where I was born and raised and moving it will changed a lot about the way I relates to it,and the good old memories. even as much as I don't like this,Mile 12 needed to be moved, but shouldnt be anywhere ikorodu.I can't just imagine what will become of the newly completed road.
They should rather move it to the Lagos/oyo border somewhere along Lagos ibadan Expressway. There's also traffic along that route. |
Business › Re: Lagos Assembly Orders Relocation Of Mile 12 And Owode Markets by AZeD1(m): 2:37pm On Mar 08, 2016 |
Rockstar07: Good Point of View. But which location in Ikorodu's that Parafa is sef? If It's along Sagamu or Ijebu road then the location isn't bad as the trucks route will be that side when coming from the North. They've no business along Ikorodu-Lagos Road. Parafa is along Ijebu road around laspotech 2nd gate area. The location is bad if nothing is done to the road. Right now, the traffic in Ikorodu on a Saturday is usually terrible, now imagine what would happen when you relocate the Mile 12 market to that area. Early last year, i left Lekki around 10pm to Ikorodu, i got to Ikorodu garage around 10:45 but didn't get to Itamaga till 2am. |
Business › Re: Lagos Assembly Orders Relocation Of Mile 12 And Owode Markets by AZeD1(m): 12:25pm On Mar 08, 2016 |
As good as the move sounds, they should also remember that Ikorodu is probably the fastest growing residential area in Lagos, and moving the mile 12 market would put so much pressure on the current infrastructure in Ikorodu. What plans do they have for the roads in Ikorodu? How will the area and security agencies in Ikorodu deal with the influx of traders and customers? Moving the market doesn't solve the issue that caused the fighting, we just changed locations.
We (Nigeria as a country) should learn to do things holistically. |

sirklin: Not even a single argument he raised did you counter. It's time you started using your brain it was a gift from God for a reason. What is there to counter? Buhari has a 4 year mandate and you are checking the promises in made after 7 months? Since when did 1) Unpreparedness for leadership 2) Exposing Nigeria to external aggression 3) Lack of tolerance for the opposition The writer of the article should refund the money spent on his school fees with interest because its obvious the guy abused that right. |
