And for Lagos mind is a no man's land QED
even is Lagos a world standard city? upon all the huge amount of money FG has spent on Lagos it still remain a glorified ghetto city with a very few good places.

Yenagoa – A 26-year-Old man has reportedly stabbed his 18-year-old girlfriend in a hotel room in Yenagoa. The man took to his heelswhen the wailing of the victim attracted the attention of other guests in the guest house who came to her rescue. The victim was identified as Miss Faith PiusThe guest house is located at Biogbolo area of Yenagoa. One of the guests told NAN that the suspect escaped when other guests and residents in the neighbourhood rushed to the scene. The source, who pleaded anonymity, said the incident happened on Friday night.NAN gathered that Pius was rushed to a private clinic where she was treated and the wounds stitched.“But she developed complications on Saturday and she died on Sunday morning,’’ the source said. The state Police commissioner, Mr Amba Asuquo, who confirmed the incident, said it was first considered as a caseof assault occasioned by harm.“Initially, it was treated purely as a case of assault occasioned by harm but now that the girlhas died, we are now treating a case of murder against one suspect.“We are in the process of ensuring that the suspectis arrested because after committing the crime he ran away.“I know some people are associating it to ritual killing but we cannot conclude,” he said.Youths of Biogbolo community took to the streets to protest the death of the girl from knife cuts allegedly inflicted on her by her lover boy.The youths were said to have attacked shops and vandalised vehicles reportedly owned by the kinsmen of the lover boy along some streets in the area.It took the intervention of detachments of riot policemen to disperse theaggrieved youths. The incident caused panic as residents run in different directions while operators of business outfits closed shop and fled.Stephen Pius, an elder brother of the victim, alleged that the suspect cut his younger sister twice each in her stomach and her heart region.

How can a hotel lodge someone without documentation?
Police should investigate the matter well, the hotel workers that day should be arrested and questioned.
Every bad thing they must mention Igbo, after investigation they will find out it was not Igbo.

you are a liar, which powerline area? He has not constructed anything around there, he's just working on faulks road and samek road. It was TA Orji that constructed that half powerline and environs connecting samek and faulks road and the roads are still standing.

let's stop lying it's against humanity.

This was exactly what orji uzor kalu was doing in his first term, coating all manner of road's and publicizing it to the point where shortsighted so called Nigerian professional organizations started dishing him all manner of award's, he was given the title of "Action Governor".

This fraudulent strategy earned him a second term and right before your eyes, those coated road's started transforming into gully's, pond's, swimming pools, canals and rivers e.g folks Rd, cemetery market Rd, ariarria market Rd deserves a metaphysical investigation , PH road is more like Somalia.

The governor shouldn't adopt the orji kalu's method.
Which one is ariaria market road again after mentioning faulks road. Is it mandatory that everybody must comment in a forum like this. Oga Orji Uzor did very well in his 1st tenure which you and I know. Those professionals that gave him best governor's awards for two consecutive times were not blind and know more than you know.

some of the roads Orji Uzor Kalu constructed in flood prone Aba and Umuahia are still standing today. Before the inception of Orji Uzor Kalu regime there was no single road in Aba because no military dictator or Ogbonnaya Onu constructed or reconstructed any road in Aba. What Orji Uzor Kalu did was general overhaul of Mbakwe's roads and constructed new roads like umule road, umuocham road, Ekenna, cemetery, old express, Mcc road, okpulor umuobo etc. But today since it was Mbakwe that 1st worked on Aba people are attributing all the success to him forgetting the impact of Orji Uzor Kalu just because they want to kill his presidential aspiration.

Orji did very well during his time and Okezie Ikpeazu is taking the same way and we are appreciative of his work. He's constructing solid roads which is visible to the blind and audible to the dalf. thanks

None of them should align with the igbos again..what I have seen on nairaland has opened my eyes...well, the governors we have in the east now are mean men that don't take nonsense..well, maybe excluding okorocha sha
A divisive tactic and comment. Oga face your front and match to your region. You can not divide us again we are very much wise now, we've forgiven south south and have forgotten the abandoned property issues. Igbos don't dwell in past, the past has gone and we're facing today and tomorrow. By the way, the properties by now must have been too archaic for someone to claim.

Are we clamoring for compensation from federal government for the properties and lives they destroyed during the Civil War, No. So what's the big deal about the 20 face-me-I-face-you apartments Ijaws claimed with the help of the Federal government masterminded by the Yoruba figure?

Oga, there's joy in unity and oneness, we are more united now and we are moving ahead as one body. If you don't like it Pls hug the nearest transformer around. Don't remind us the past cos we don't need it.

God please bless south south and South east and give us more unity.

Truth be told Nigeria has dealt with the Igbos in so many ways but the have survive it all because of their resilience and hard work. Before the war Nigeria as country knows the Igbos was in the helm of things and it give them a lot of nightmares that was why they gave them twenty pounds but they survived in flying colors. As an Igbo man, Biafra issue I'm not in support and I'm also not against it, for me Biafra will be the last resort all we want is a level playing field a country where competitions are the order of the day. We can archive that through regional autonomy where every region will control their resources and develop on their own pace.

Break Nigeria into its component parts and … –SanusiOnApril 6, 20172:58 pmInNews,PoliticsCommentsBreak Nigeria into its component parts, and these parts of the countryare among the poorest, if it were a country. And we do not realise we are in trouble said Emir of Kano,Muhammadu Sanusi ll, on Wednesday.Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, the Emir of KanoSanusi, speaking on the theme ‘Promoting Investments In The Midst of Eonomic Challenges’ at the Kaduna State Economic Summit in Kaduna said North, as a region, has the highest population in Nigeria and lacked the necessary indices to show progress.‘We are living in denial. The North-West and the North-East, demographically, constitute the bulk of Nigeria’s population, but look at human development indices, look at the number of children out of school, look at adult literacy, lookat maternal mortality, look at infant mortality, look at girl-child completion rate, look at income per capita, the North-East and the North-West Nigeria, are among the poorest parts of the world.“As far back as 2000, I looked at the numbers, Borno and Yobe states, UNDP figures: Borno and Yobe states, if they were a country on their own, were poorer than Niger, Cameroon and Chad.“Nobody saw this because we were looking at Nigeria as a country that averages the oil-rich Niger Delta, the industrialand commercial-rich Lagos, the commercially viable South-East, and you have an average.“Break Nigeria into its component parts, and these parts of the countryare among the poorest, if it were a country. And we do not realise we are in trouble.”“Other Muslim nations have pushed forward girl-child education, they’ve pushed forward science and technology. They have pushed forward the arts. We havethis myth in northern Nigeria, where we try to create an Islamic society that never existed.”“We need to understand the roots of the problem of northern Nigeria. Burning books, it happened in Kano. What is the crime of those books? They were writingabout (love), and love apparently is supposed to be a bad word.“In a society where you don’t love your women and you don’t love your children, you allow them to beg, you beat up your women, why should anyone talk about love?“We have adopted an interpretation of our culture and our religion that is rooted in the 13th century mindset that refuses to recognise that the rest of the Muslim world has moved on.“If you are an Imam or a pastor and shed blood you are a criminal,” Sanusi said.He also said “Nasir, I support you on this one, any pastor or Imam that commits crime should be arrested, tried and jailed were necessary,”“Today in Malaysia, you wake up and divorce yourwife; that is fine. But you give her 50 per cent of all the wealth you acquired since you married her. It is a Muslim country. In Nigeria, you wake up after20 years of marriage, you say to your wife, ‘I divorceyou’, and that’s it.“Other Muslim nations have pushed forward girl-child education; they’ve pushed forward science and technology. They have pushed forward the arts. We havethis myth in northern Nigeria, where we try to create an Islamic society that never existed.“We are fighting culture, we are fighting civilisation. We must wage an intellectual war, because Islam is not univocal. There are many voices, there are many interpretations, there are many viewpoints, and we have for too long allow the ascendancy of the most conservative viewpoints. The consequences of that are that there are certain social problems.”Further speaking on comments on by Abdulaziz Yari, governor of Zamfara state, on meningitis Sanusi said “how have we reduced ourselves, what have we done as a people, that we have placed ourselves in a situation where simple things, a medical issue…you don’t have vaccines, say you don’t have vaccines.‘200 people died of meningitis in a state, the governor was asked and he said it is God’s curse on us for the sin of fornication, which apparently does not happen in America, whichis why they don’t have meningitis.”“Treat those who have contracted it, don’t give these kinds of explanations. But this themindset. I have a degree in Islamic law, and I can tell you that is not an Islamically correct statement to make.“These are the kinds of things that we have; and when we talk about a difficult environment, we realise that 90 percent of that difficulty, we can address, because it is self-inflicted.”
