See how pride oozes out of your post.

Anyways, the last global recession has forced foreign investors to seek out developing markets. They are the future of investment .

They keep talking about how companies are rushing to grab a slice of them on different economic reports on CNN.

Don't you watch CNN??

Picollothedon: Honestly, you thought you are making sense with this your blind hate for federal government, are you not envolved in the affiars of this country? With out the F.G what do you ever think will move on, when you are all busy critisizing everything the government did. Until you get the whole world before you will appreciate what the fg is doing. You have just forgotten the reason for all this crisis, which of the government has this kind of problem in the country and still working hard as gej government.... huhhuh?
There are major master strokes that G.E.J keeps ignoring.

If he can effect them, he'll be the best President ever......but as long as he keeps on tarring roads, refurbishing airports and promising steady electricity, he's still beating around the bush.

Its year 2013 and people are loosing patience.

Rossikk: Foreign Investors Pour Into Nigeria As Economy Accelerates:

https://www.nairaland.com/1249139/foreign-investors-pour-into-nigeria/7

They wouldn't do this if Jonathan was ''ignoring the core problems in this country'', or if the investment environment was increasingly unfavourable.

You need to go out a bit more, read more widely, and talk less.
No investor/Manufacturer will ignore a market base of 160 million people. Its common sense.

That's was what attracted them, not what G.E.J told them.

Godogwu: refer to my last post, I gave an "ok" explanation...I think.
Seen. Electricity hasn't improved where i am for now. We used to make jokes that we share our line with New-york but its bad now.

Federal Govt roads are in shambles where i am. The Lagos-Ibadan express, Oshodi Apapa road and Airport road are the main areas the FG could have used to convince a lot of people about. their seriousness but for now they are still terrible.

Internet connectivity was always destined to be reduced due to competition. Various providers reduced their prices to win over the masses and that in turn resulted in lower prices.

I totally agree with your No5 point. That is the main reason that there is an upsurge in the Nigerian Economy.

G.E.J might have good intentions but as long as he tries to work alongside corruption, all his effort will always appear stained.

theoctopus: See my dear friend, your problem is simply hatred for gej for no justifiable reason. If the stats was from an fg department, you would have called it fake. Now,.you claim Nigerians are developing by themselves. You sound too lame. Just admit you all were wrong and give gej his due credit. It won't cost you anything
How is G.E.J's administration creating a favourable environment for investors??

As long as he keeps ignoring the core problems in this country, his efforts remains lipstick on a pig.

Godogwu: Your assessment is just amusing, is it the FG thats kidnapping, employing militants, boko haram or creating corruption?...Corruption alone starts from the everyday Nigerian; the people in government aren't from mars. Thesame goes for kidnapping and the rest, its mostly useless and unaccomplished people like yourself that go about doing all sorts just because you believe the federal government should provide your every need. Finally, i totally agree with the other poster that the federal government has made the economy more favorable for entrepreneurs and investors.
The question i keep asking is "How has the Federal Govt made the economy more favourable for entrepreneurs"huh

How?? How?? Howhuh

I know a that bought Keke-Marwa and he rode it himself. The last time i saw him, he had bought a cab. He says he plans on saving and buying another one soon.

I entered those 3 wheeled vehicles in surulere and while discussing with my engineer about the project we were working on, the driver introduced himself and told us he also makes window blinds. He gave us his card before we alighted.

Those are the kind of people that are improving the economy........Do some people think Nigerians are still waiting for one G.E.J to supply them Cassava bread to sell or N10,000 from "YOU WIN??

Which favourable environment?

Is it Millitancy ?? High rate of Kidnapping?? Boko-Haram?? Ombatse?? The killings in Jos?? Epileptic power supply?? Corruption?? The railway line that struggles to complete a trip? ......Frankly, Nigeria has never been in a state of anarchy like this in a long time. Investors still troop in because of the high population, not because of what G.E.J told them. Its the citizens that lift this nation, not the F.G.

Don't be vague, pls highlight the "Favourable Environment" that inspired the populace to start developing ideas to create employment.
Politics › Re: Nigeria's Middle-Class Increases By 28 percent!! by ba7man(m):
taharqa: This should be amongst the silliest 'logic' I have ever heard
You look up to FG for everything so u automatically belive any progress is from them.

What do you think explains the explosion of jobs like Landscapers, musicians, music producers, Music video producers and directors, web designers, party planners, show producers, event planners, Architects, builders, Quantity surveyors, woodwork specialists, on-line retail stores, bloggers, professional photographers, Videographers, models, fashion lines, Decorators, mobile car-washes, mobile advert vans, cocktailiers, professional auto mechanics, caterers, motivational speakers, Consultants, Professional Drycleaners, hoteliers, O.A.Ps, D.Js, T.V Presenters....... ETC. They're so much, i have to stop.

What has G.E.J done that led to this job explosion?? Even during O.B.J's era, it was Banking and Telecommunications that were the "in" professions but now they're so numerous that dwarf them in returns.

10 years ago, a lot of those professions above had little or no importance in Nigeria but due to exposure, Nigerians are creating jobs out of nothing. Do you think anyone is waiting on the "YOU WIN" program??

Nigerians within and in Diaspora are developing ideas to turn the country around, rather than wait for the FG. I give credit to the smart, hardworking Nigerians that chose to be "Job Creators" rather than "Job Seekers".

So what's your own logic, ogahuh

Politics › Re: Is President Jonathan Being Laughed At During His UN Address. by ba7man(m): 6:15pm On Sep 25, 2013
Pukkah: President Jonathan is far from being articulate. It looks like his words simply get muddled up as soon as he begins to speak. May be this is why he tries to avoid speeches, interviews or debates. Often, he ends up saying what he doesn't mean or use words that don't aptly describe his thoughts.

This might also be why he gets nervous or upset to the extent that he used the famous 'I don't give a damn' phrase. He lacks poise and does not radiate confidence. Please note that confidence is not the same thing as arrogance and anger is not the same as poise.

The surprise in all of this is that he was a lecturer/PhD holder who should be able to gather his thoughts and pass them across in a clear manner in front of an audience. So how did he get by as a lecturer?
They also say he's "Humble" but. all i see is a man that lacks "Charisma".
Politics › Re: Is President Jonathan Being Laughed At During His UN Address. by ba7man(m): 6:02pm On Sep 25, 2013
They might be talking and laughing at something else........but one thing's for sure. They don't think much of G.E.J not to be listening to his speech.

If I, a Nigerian thinks he's not articulate, I wonder what he'll sound like to a lot of foreigners.

Hold your breath........The Redemption Camp main auditorium is even bigger than the Vatican city.

Have you ever set your foot on the numerous very huge catholic monasteries with unending land spread all over the world ?. HOW DID YOU ARRIVE AT THIS YOUR OVER EXAGGERATED CONCLUSION WHICH IS AT BEST, A FANTASY. I INSIST REDEMPTION CAMP MIGHT NOT BE THE BIGGEST IN SOUTHWEST NIGERIA TALKLESS OF WEST AFRICA

If i hear "Fresh Air"!!!!......Nigerians and investors in general have gotten smarter, they've embraced the spirit of entepreneurship and are focused on delivering goods and services to the teeming population...........Some are trying to atribute it to G.E.J.

As long as we keep fumbling with the 2600MW of electricity, those ancient trains and the snail paced reconstruction of the economic corridor of Nigeria, his efforts remain.....#Fresh pubic hair#.
Christianity Etc › Re: Redemption City: Largest City Of God On Earth by ba7man(m): 11:49am On Sep 25, 2013
Igbo Delta: THE LARGEST CITY OF GOD ON EARTH IS THE VATICAN CITY OF THE HOLY CATHOLIC CHURCH. THE VATICAN IS NOT JUST A CITY BUT ALSO AN INDEPENDENT COUNTRY. The Redemption camp can at best be described as an estate just like other prayer camps owned by Covenant, Apostolic, Mountain of Fire, Deeper Life and The Lord's Choosen churches. I dont think it is the largest in Nigeria maybe Its the largest in south west nigeria.
You've obviously not set foot in the Reedemption Camp.

Ikengawo: we're going to do this again to until somebody shows that they have taken JS1 math

Averages for Lagosian Owambe Expenses.
$36,000,000,000\ 18,000,000 (Lagosians, est.) = N2000 per capita
N166.66 a month
N23.80 a day
=
not a lot of money at all.
Forget Maths, use logic. Your calculations are too elementary to explain how it works.

1 owambe, an average of 400/600 guests...... Multiplied by the large number of parties that take place every weekend. Gerrit?........Without including the business networking that takes place over food and drinks.

Going by your warped explanation, If the whole 18million residents in Lagos organize owambes in a day.........Then who are the people that will attend them?? There is more to income generation than spare-part selling.

@Topic, Its normal to try booking an event hall that costs between N400,000 to N700,000 to rent and you'll find out its been booked for months ahead.

This is before you factor in the food/small chops the guests will consume, drinks and cocktails, event planners, decorators, make-up artists , aso-ebi and jewelry to be purchased, musicians and djs, transportation etc.......for chrissake!!! We now have people that tie gele professionally.

Its a booming source of revenue generation since we now have event planners, make-up artists, decorators, caterers and cocktailiers that make millions anually.

Who says its not a good thing?? Abeg, spend the money and let it go around.
