Seems like murder with the fire used to cover-up traces of evidence. They're rich so its got to be a large house with various wings and escape routes. |
kettykings: What Extra ordinary thing has Fashola really achieved that Akpabio and Amechi has not tripled except for throwing a N2B (2 Billion Naira) Birthday Bash for an ex convict and using N80 M to entertain a porn Actress for 45 miniutes.Fashola has made it clear that its not about your money with the closing of Ladipo. Its about sanitizing our environment. Get that and stop writing essays all over NL. Yes, please open a thread on Akpabio's acheivements, I'd like to see them. Apart from roads with streetlights. Is that all that he's done?? Educate us that don't know. |
Ojukwu is a great man but he just couldn't resist tapping that young, fine piece of arssse......He's got a little bit of a perv in him considering the way he groomed her prior to her being of legal age. And once she turned legal, he wasted no time in moving in on the kill. I was young when she Won MBGN but i was still angry when she go married to Ojukwu..... |
You want leaders that will beg you, pat your heads, rub your bellys, tickle your balls, bribe you, provide free houses for you when you cant afford to build a shack for yourselves, give you hand-outs, patronize you and look the other way when you break laws etc.....abi?? |
If you do a head count of those that are citicizing Fashola on Nairaland, you'll notice that they are from the Eastern part of the country or their political affiliation is PDP. Even those that have no business with Lagos state or reside in it are the people that their voices are loudest against him.....I wonder why?? These are the same people that laugh loudest at slums in Lagos and now that something's being done about it, they suddenly become so concerned about its residents. Lagos/Nigeria has been lawless for so long and this is the man to shake it out of Nigerians. Its only normal they fight back. |
@Op. Is this how you react whenever things aren't going your way?? |
CAMNEWTON4PRES: Ignorant. Ignorance is really something you all share in common over thereAnd who is this Fungi ![]() |
Bluemosquito: haha, oga lng time! But how do you expect President of the most populous black nation to be accorded same welcome with 2 baba and the duo p-squareYou no see as girls dey cry when Tuface visit?? Wey the crowd wey gather for road dey sing "African Queen"?? Not to take it from GEJ though, they clearly like him over there. |

76Naira: http://trendysturvs..co.uk/2013/03/missing-person-aduwa-idahosa.html?m=1If you have access to her phone or any social media she's on, check recent communications she's made. It could be a starting point. |
This walk is a Psychological move to win hearts by showing compassion and courage. Its a smart move by them. True leaders must possess both. |
I'm so sure that if you enquire about the people that quoted my post and disagreed with it, they will comprise of mainly easterners, or they stay in the east. They criticize ACN in order to justify their choice of PDP. |
You're likely to find out the Nairalanders criticizing ACN or APC are from the Eastern part of Nigeria. They tend to support PDP because they have a larger followership and presence there. PDP has no presence in the West so we tend to lean toward ACN. |
djon78: And who told you there are not international standard auto centres in Lagos I can count more than 7 and 5 in lekki axis. Mercedes has, there is germine auto centre owned by one Imo state man, Coscharis has one with latest german tech and like 4 more I don't know there name but from experience their cost is excessievely high demanding like 1 to 2 mill as total to do range roverWe need more of them. They can afford to charge exhorbitant prices b'cos there is currently not enough competition. The more there are, the more they'll be forced to lower their costs to remain competitive. Being honest with ourselves, we can't keep trading in the rowdy, haphazard fashion that markets like Ladipo thrive on, we have to improve things. This is year 2013 not 1989. |
Dude you may be wrong, it all depends on packaging. Ask Iya Basira why there is always a long queue at her restaurant located in a hidden corner while there is no queue at Iya Sikira's place located at that busy junction. Bottom line, 'Afia oma na ere onwe ya' meaning a good product markets itself. That may not always be the case though
The corner might be hidden.....but its accessible to many, that's why they flood there. Business relationship and quality of goods can also make people seek you out. But your business will always have a higher level of patronage in a highly populated area. |
@Djohn78 and Asha 80. The trader seeks the market, the market never seeks the trader. You are all in Lagos because it gives you access to a high level of patronage. What's the point importing all those containers when there's a reduction in the people that will purchase it?? When you finally relocate East, they'll be an over-concentration of traders and less people purchasing it. Your new customers will be from the S.E, S.S and maybe Cameroon but don't expect westerners and West-Africans to by-pass Lagos ports to go do business in the East. |
asha 80: nothing stops you from displacing those igbos with your 'modern techniques' of business unless the competitive gene in you does not exist.your 'modern techniques' should put you in good stead to displace those igbos now and not when'they leave'.You guys keep saying you will leave but have you attempted it?? No!!!. Why?? because the State with the largest purchasing power is Lagos so you have to be close to your customers. If you leave, thousands will gladly fill the void you leave behind. Coscharis's buildings would have being paid for before he relocates and all the shops you guys will leave behind. Shopping complexes will be constructed and the only difference is that its different Nationalities that will own them this time. Gone will be the days of traders chasing and harassing you to patronize them in the streets (Since that's your idea of being competitive) |
EMMAUGOH: ,,What u wrote is well said and Understood..Let Goodluck Jonathan,,at least Finish Anambra port terminal for us.....We will Congratulate Him in a every Big Way...Come to Nnewi in Anambra state,u will see How Motocycle and it spare part is been Offloaded and distributed, sold to Costumers around africa..Nown i see why Inoson decided to leave his Motorcompany at his Hometown..If our Brother will understand The Power of Unity and settlement, then they would understand what they can do and what they are made of.....Imagine popular A-Z oil is produced mostly at east and transported to othere part of Nigeria,Imagine coscharis of the whole world withdraws from Lagos, imagine Emma Bishop withdraws from Lagos,so many of them,Imagine all new and Toyota part dealer goes down to South East.Imagine Ogbuawa 100 containers that comes in Almost 6 months through Lagos terminal, goes to Onitsha terminal......I dont think Lagosians has anything to be proud Of..Unless what Igbos has manage to create for them....The Igbos are resourceful but you overestimate their importance. There are millions of people (Nigerians in diaspora/fresh investors) in line waiting to take over whatever positions you leave behind, me included. They'll give whatever business you guys were into a far more modern approach. Your absence will only provide opportunities for fresh investors that you swamped out before.....Leave and watch it happen. You think its by the Igbo's presence that has made Lagos top destination in Nigeria for the past 100years?? Its by the accomodating nature of its citizens. |
If they truely make N100 billion in a day, they should be the ones closing Fashola's Govt down. |
peckhamboi: N100 billion dailyThat means the market generates approximately 1.2 Billion dollars in 2 days. Big fat lie!!!....If you belive that, you'll belive anything. I'll take a note of the people that belived it and I'll never argue with them again. I know they're loosing a lot of money though. I'm sure they'll reach an agreement with the State Govt soon. |
Something has to be done to stop the influx of squatters in the State. They move in, build shanties and expand them. Relocating the displaced will only encourage more of them to come. Other states are now doing big things, why don't they move there instead?? |
Sincere 9gerian: Good development. Progress made in Lagos is progress made by Nigeria. I commend the governor for taking steps to reduce the debt burden of the state. This is the summary of everything. |
babapupa: Of what use is your streetlight without electricity to light up your street? The people who's job it is to supply electricity needed to power the street lights are not failures, but the ones who against all odds and overcame this national shame and barrier by making sure that with or without federal electricity, these street lights will have uninterrupted power supply are the failure? Is this a joke? That's what happens when you assume you "Know All". You stop learning. "The more you think you know, the less you truely know". |
naptu2: I also wonder why the people who own Ikorodu Road did not deem it fit to fix the street lights. It was upgraded for them by the LASG. It seems if you keep waiting for the FG in these parts, you'll wait forever. |
This means i can actually drive from Alausa-Ikeja, Maryland through Ikrodu road down to the Island on well lit roads (That means i just drove through the whole length of Lagos state on well lit roads). While some are laughing, Fashola is gradually Lighting up all the major roads in the State. If the Federal Government can take up their responsibility of Third-Mainland bridge and Oshodi-Apapa express While Fashola's Administration round-up on Badagry Express and Lekki-Express.....The whole state's major roads have been lit up. This isn't about lighting a State Capital, its about lighting up a Whole state. |
KnowAll: Street light on ikorodu road after 14 years of Tinunbu/Fashola regime. Hmmmm, i am not impressed, if that is their legacy to Lagosians after running d economy of Lagos since 1999 . We must not look at Fashola's regime in isolation. What about Niger Delta states that receive more or the same allocation to cater for a far smaller development area and population?? If the Fashola's Administration is a collosal failure, what would you call those?? In your words, Are modern cities not supposed to be rising from the Niger-Delta worthy of Global attention?? (Eko-Atlantic is still the only project that's got the world talking in Nigeria).Apart from good roads, free education and a few other ideas (Who would expect less with the amount they receive and small population??) , nothing is really going on in those states. @Topic. Ikeja roads has had Streetlights for a while (I drive there a lot so no one should come say its a lie). Major roads in Victoria Island and Maryland have all being lit up for a while too and nobody screamed about it on Nairaland. Ikorodu road is being celebrated b'cos of its importance to Lagosians. So to those people thinking this is the first time Lagos is seeing streetlights, sorry but you're so wrong. |
Ketu market, Mile-12 market, Mushin Market were all closed due to sanitary issues at one point or the other. Are they Igbo markets?? No. Pls, give this story a rest and stop being paranoid. |
tomakint: Nigeria is a far bigger and more complex structure to govern compared to Lagos, this I know! However, I am arguing on the point that Fashola is working according to people but the issue is, with over N30 billion being generated monthly and Lagos is still like that, then I can only wonder what he will do with power if elected President! Trust me, Lagos with her never-ending potentials should be like Seoul, Frankfurt by now despite the fact that ACN has been in charge of Lagos since 1999! My point is PDP, ACN, CPC, ANPP, APGA etc lump them together, they are still the same thing I don't believe in party politics and would never will, my take is individuals matter and a system of government that is different from what we have now (democracy with a wasteful Presidential system of government) might just be the saving grace for Nigeria and NigeriansVery true. With N30Billion Lagos still looks like that. Bayelsa, Delta, Port-Harcourt and Akwa-Ibom states should look like Dubai too. |
Tony Spike: Bros, do you know that this Ikorodu road belongs to the federal government? What stopped the Feds from putting up the lights for the past 20 years?True talk....or the Badagry Expressway and Oshodi-Apapa Expressway. |
jmaine: Indicting who[/ b] ![]() ....EVERYBODY!!! |
People have been driving on that road for almost 2 decades in darkness and they suddenly see lights running for 7km on their 10Lane commute and you expect them to drive past as if its just monday night?? Of course you don't need a rocket scientist to tell you they'll be excited about it. Evidence of bad past Governments. |
