I just received my parcel I ordered February 25th to day, it's unregistered though. Arrived Nipost Lagos since 10th March and since then I didn't hear nothing till I opened dispute and fortunately won it, today I was called to collect my parcel it's a 2 - 0 win.
Again the person who called me to collect the parcel said I should come along with #200, but again fortunately for me she wasn't the one that handed the parcel to me so I escaped paying that #200.
Am just praying karma should not see me!.

My full size headphones 130$ took two days to clear and did not incur custom charges.

I've used the Barter card severally in the past month,in fact a 130 dollar headphone I bought was delivered by speedaf yesterday. The nairalander Nobody is trusted by many people and has a good track record

Ems charge me #19393.75k for package of 0.5g to china today. But on the receipt they wrote 0.3kg and #16393.75k . But when I inquiry about the difference in fee,they told me it for packaging .

3k for packaging . Nigeria is not really a country but the world's largest crime scene.Every institution is crooked here.

Been trying to use Barter card to buy on AliExpress now for over a week, but it doesn't work. I just created a new card thinking maybe it has to do with how recent the card is.
Also tried Payoneer virtual card, it didn't work. Tried using browser, it didn't work, both Barter and Payoneer cards.

Are you guys using VPN or something?

You need to be sure that the Barter card is the one selected for the transaction. You can also try ordering from the web instead of the app.

He might collect the item then contact the seller and pay by ordering the item again , but the seller would not ship the second time. It's a Longshot though as most Nigerians are extremely dishonest.

I'm not really aware of any other virtual card at the moment. I tried the barter one and it worked without any drama so I did not search for other ones.

1st order made in January wasn't delivered but i got a refund.
Ordered another this April and got it today (RB187151993SG)

But nawa for NIPOST o, they collected 2000 after much begging.

Hopefully the recent good changes at nipost will be permanent. I got my last two deliveries via nipost in twenty two days while the registered speedaf ones took twenty seven days

Cause Speedaf is very fast. My order tracking on AE is still showing left country of origin, but my item don reach Speedaf office for my state. No reason am oo, they're 3 times faster than NIPOST

Sadly , speedaf has changed and not for the better.

Strange things are afoot in this country. I ordered three mens watch items from two different shops on 31.3.2022. Items reached destination country Nigeria on 21.4.22. Nipost gave me call on the same day and I collected all three items after paying 100 naira. Everything took twenty one days. Unbelievable.

SG is Singapore post, always handled by nipost. NG E is ordinary unregistered parcel and could be handled by speedaf on Nipost

How does speedaf handle custom duty payments. Has anybody had a delivery from speedaf that required payment of custom duty before. I ordered a headphone of 125 dollars and it's been shipped through speedaf.

No be so. I also had similar experiences in Abj. They now post Custom personnel to post office and they pick on items they feel was undervalued and use the original or market value to calculate custom duty for you. Thus you will have to go pay to the custom account before having your package released. And the duty is always ridiculous, so it is up to you to either pay the duty or roger the custom officer. Anything above 39$ will be taxed even if it escape quotation from Lagos. At a point I got angry and ask them to kuku return the package, if not for the old man I initially had rapor with that intervene. Duty of 12k quoted for a speaker of less thaya 100$. I received twice and sort the 2x. And this is not even for post office people.

Why would they post custom officers at post offices. Nigerians are hardened crooks, somebody impersonated a customs officer. Nigerians would always look for ways to defraud and steal.

I just stumbled on Barter Dollar card and I want to ask if it can be possible to pay for items on AliExpress with it as they claimed.

Pls bro how do you fund your virtual dollar card with money in naira form

You need to transfer money to your naira Visa card first,then go to your dollar card and click ' fund". You type in how much dollars you want to convert and the dollar card is credited. When you are on AliExpress, make sure your Barter card is selected at the checkout otherwise you will get errors as they try to debit your normal bank card.
