lmao. been wondering where you dey since. didn't know you still get Tinubu's d!ick stuck inside ya mouth. Tell your boyfriend (Asiwaju) I said Hi, |
I stand my statement when I wrote that Samuel Ajayi Crowther claimed to be Yoruba. How could a boy who does not even know his native full name remember the month and year he was born? The fact remains the period of his birth as quoted for Crowther is at best conjecture. There was no any form of birth registry at the jungle were the said Crowther was born and the inhabitants of such geographical spot did know that years and days were named as we know them today.Your comeback is not only trash, it's void of intelligent reasoning and curiosity. Why is it so hard to think logically? Do you want us to trash history and subscribe to your version of garbage. We know he was a yoruba linguist and he translated the bible into Yoruba, he even compiled Yoruba dictionary. Now, abeg tell me who teach him how to speak Yoruba. shey na the fulani slave raiders, abi na the Portuguese slave traders or the christian missionaries? How come they didn't pick hausa or igbo name? Feel free to bury your head in the sand with your version of history, you just need to keep it to yourself. |
Great initiative. |
Mansur Oladunjoye 20 October 2009 Governor Babatunde Fashola of Lagos State has promised tax exemption to any company that support sports development in the state. Fashola, who made the promise in his address during the inauguration of the Lagos State Sports Endowment Fund Board (LSSEFB) headed by the state's former commissioner for finance, Mr. Wale Edun in his Alausa Ikeja office, said the gesture became necessary to revive sports and discourage the daily misfortune that has continued to trail it. According to him, investment in sports with either time or money is not a quick fix investment, adding that often times, those who make the investment and commitment may not see it manifest in their time. "There is a breeding time and I do not think there is this better time to begin to make that investment than now "But if we are not winning, we are hosting and we must also remember that some contested to host this championship where we won the right to host and we must host right and well," he said. Fashola reacting to comments that the Nigerian players did not proceed beyond the first round explained that, "it is not that the Nigerian players lack the talents; it is because there is no institutional support for them from home. "If the players don't get sponsorship to go out, to cover their air travel cost, coaching fees, hotel costs, kits cost, they can't improve in tournament, which is what is happening in other jurisdictions," he stressed. He noted that his government did not believe in impossibility, saying; "with this institutionalized organizations in place, Lagos would in no too distance future be able to play host to the Olympic events like Rio de Janeiro Brazil, that is the goal we set for ourselves and we want to work toward it because we believe they are achievable. If Rio can host the Olympic, then Lagos can." Earlier, the Commissioner for Youths Sports and Social development, Prince Ademola Adeniji Adele said that the inauguration of the board would enable the government to harness the enormous potentials to achieve its vision on sports. "We have witnessed how sports drove development all over the world and we can replicate the same in Lagos State. The state has won the 2012 National Sports Festival with the theme: "Driving infrastructural development through sports." We intend to use our experience in hosting the U-17 World Cup to develop our capacity to host the 2012 games and other international competitions," he said. Meanwhile, Wale Edun commended Fashola for the honour and assured that the board would not let him down. To serve alongside Edun are: Rear Admiral Oni (rtd), Rasheed Kolarinwa, Chief Emeka Dike, Ayo Ositelu, Tunde Savage and Sani Dangote as well as five directors from the Ministries of Information, Finance, Tourism, Home Affairs, Sports and Local Government. http://allafrica.com/stories/printable/200910200968.html |
What has Ribadu got to do with this now?Beats the hell out of me, Sounds like people just get axe to grind against anything and everything. |
What different does t make? The money is gonna enter the same shalanga it's been entering and you guys are still gonna be kidnapping, blaming the rest of the country, blowing up and killing innocent people, talking the same sh!t about the federal government and all that resources nonsense. Talk about vicious cycle, |
https://www.osundefender.org/wp-content/uploads/2008/11/bishop-samuel-ajayi-crowther.jpg Samuel Ajayi Crowther Bishop Samuel Adjai (Ajayi) Crowther (c. 1807 - December 31, 1891) was a linguist and the first African Anglican bishop in Nigeria. Born in Osogun, Yorubaland (in today's Iseyin Local Government, Oyo State, Nigeria), Rev. Dr. Samuel Ajayi Crowther was a member of the Yoruba ethnic group. Ajayi was captured by Fulani slave raiders in 1821 and sold to Portuguese slave traders. Before leaving port, his ship was boarded by the British Navy, and Crowther was taken to Freetown, Sierra Leone and released. While there, Crowther was cared for by the Anglican Church Missionary Society, who taught him English. He converted to Christianity, was baptized by Rev. John Raban, and took the name Samuel Crowther in 1825. While in Freetown, Crowther became interested in languages. In 1826 he was taken to England to attend Islington Parish School. He returned to Freetown in 1827 and attended the newly-opened Fourah Bay College, an Anglican missionary school, where his interest in language found him studying Latin and Greek but also Temne. After completing his studies he began teaching at the school. He also married Asano Susan, a schoolmistress, who was also on the Portuguese slave ship that originally brought Crowther to Sierra Leone. In 1841 Crowther was selected to accompany the missionary J.F.Schön on an expedition along the Niger River. Together with Schön, he was expected to learn Hausa for use on the expedition. The goal of the expedition was to spread commerce, teach agricultural techniques, spread Christianity, and help end the slave trade. Following the expedition, Crowther was recalled to England, where he was trained as a minister and ordained by the bishop of London. He returned to Africa in 1843 and with Henry Townsend, opened a mission in Abeokuta, in today's Ogun State, Nigeria. Rev. Dr. Crowther began translating the Bible into the Yoruba language and compiling a Yoruba dictionary. In 1843, a grammar book which he started working on during the Niger expedition was published; and a Yoruba version of the Anglican Book of Common Prayer followed later. He also began codifying other languages. Following the British Niger Expeditions of 1854 and 1857, Crowther produced a primer for the Igbo language in 1857, another for the Nupe language in 1860, and a full grammar and vocabulary of Nupe in 1864. In 1864, Crowther was ordained as the first African bishop of the Anglican Church. That same year he also received a Doctor of Divinity from Oxford University. Bishp Dr. Crowther's attention was directed more and more to languages other than Yoruba, but he continued to supervise the translation of the Yoruba Bible (Bibeli Mimá»), which was completed in the mid-1880's, a few years before his death. In 1891, Crowther suffered a stroke and died the last day of that year. http://en.allexperts.com/e/s/sa/samuel_ajayi_crowther.htm |
Please stop, those were traffic officer just like LASTMA. |
Oh yes, and to top it up, they also wear Oyimbo hats and put feathers on them as well. Not this retard again. LMAO. Ode, it's called freedom of speech in the west. Clueless prick. Btw, how's your boyfriend? Tell Asiwaju Tinubu I said hi. |
Nice move by the FG.but they should understand this is not the ultimate we need, free education from primary through university is possible, massive employment both skilled and unskilled is possible,a good percentage of appointments in the federal level is possible, good development in all the N'state capitals just like abuja, and lots more just to mention a fewYou guys make the craziest and absurd statements I swear. Why not just ask the federal government to get rid of your governors since you guys have no use for them because you guys act and carry on as if they don't exist or they do, but just to re-rout funds and ask you guys to keep looking at abuja for your next daily bread. It's your elected leaders responsibility to provide what you just listed. Is it some kind of taboo or abomination for you guys to be honest and inject some kind of rational thinking when you make these silly and clueless demands. Your leaders are not honest, you commoners are not honest. Talk about double jeopardy. No wonder you guys are getting raped. |
https://i36.tinypic.com/a2pxqe.jpg 10% Of Oil Ventures under the same lousy management team, Talk about spinning wheels and throwing ice at the sun, |
Gov' Fashola of Lagos state. Yes, he is performing. |
During the 1979 administration Lateef Jakande had state police in Lagos.Na lie, You dey overreach small small. Nothing worth doing is immune to dangers and flaws, your so called oyinbo people started from somewhere and I'm sure they had their growing pains before perfection. Bottom line and good or bad, we have to start from somewhere and keep correcting our errors as we move along till we get it right. Oyinbo folks put in the hard work and there was a time in America when the mob controlled police departments. You have to go to school, learn put in the hard work before you graduate, nothing comes easy. The real danger is defeating yourself mentally and surrendering without lifting a finger or taking a single step. |
Sad and pathetic rubbish as usual, If makes you sleep well with Tinubu tonight, Delta is the sh!t, delta is Dubai. lmao. Look at this delusional dumb ass, Ndo, Tinubu obviously did some terrible damage to your lil bootie. btw, are there any sensible and articulate delta folks on NL to discuss with minus these generic whinny, soft and sensitive comical clowns? |
Rather than posting numerous links I shall post one. You can also checkout the sterling work of SERAP and contributions from Festus Kayamo and Femi Falana. I have highlighted the important bits for you.Oh lawd. I know it's your thinking that the feds is responsible for the air you breath and the complexion of the woman you marry, but we're talking about states, not the federal government. This is absolutely irrelevant and you still haven't answered my questions. I pointed out that states in the region are bless with legal authority to enact and enforce environmental laws and they need to start doing what Lagos state is doing and you defensively show up with the standard Tinubu and Fashola diversion and deflection. You and that retard Beef obviously drink from the same well. What's up with the fascination with Tinubu? Is tinubu your governor? Is he some invisible leader in the delta or was he part of the looting team in the delta? How come you guys don't talk about the Ibori, alams and odili? Why Tinubu? What's up with the attention and love fest? Are you guys in love with Tinubu? Are you guys gay? Beef- Where is your lover's picture? You're slacking up, abi you're saving it for tonight with your lotion? Tinubu loverboy. lmao. what a clown. |
Baruwa is an excellent case study, despite the avalanche of headlines from babapupa this still remains a classic case of all mouth and no action i.e. lots of activity but no end product. You will excuse me for discarding the stories on holy ghost fire churches and sand collectors.Defensiveness and apples and oranges again, You still haven't answered my questions and we both know the reason why. You just don't have the guts to be honest with yourself and your people. You can shift your goal post as much as you want, you're deceiving yourself, not me. Baruwa is a federal problem, not state's. How do you hold the state responsible and accountable for federal/NNPC's problem. We're talking about holding private companies accountable for messing up the environment like the oil companies are doing in the delta, not locking up a whole village for vandalizing NNPC pipelines. Baruwa shouldn't be an excuse not to demand same in the delta. Do you mean the delta shouldn't enact and enforce environmental laws in the delta because of baruwa? Got to be the most insane reasoning ever. The most honorable thing to do is to just admit that there's nothing like LASEPA in the delta and the region's leaders are criminally negligent and incompetent. Sadly, you're displaying the same blame other people mentality that's screwing up the delta. |
What else is new? lol. Too bad you can't Ignore the drug dealer or get his name and d!ick out of your mouth. Do you self-service to his picture before you go to bed too? |
Now, please tell me how many environmental laws the delta region have enacted and enforced. Also, how many companies they've locked up? |
I'm not surprised per your standard deflective and defensive comeback, I posed tons of questions and this is all you took to the market. Ok, let's address your comeback. The problem in Baruwa village wan't created by private companies like chevron and shell. We basically don't have companies intentionally/unintentionally degrading the environment. What you posted has to do with vandalization of NNPC pipelines by the locals and I'm not sure per what you're diving at as far as this issue is concerned. Do you want the state environmental protection agency to discipline and lock up the whole village for messing with NNPC pipelines? NNPC is an arm of the federal government of Nigeria, not private companies like chevron, shell, mobile and total. This is LASEPA appealing to NNPC way back in 2004 to take care of the problem so be honest and quit saying they "allowed". This issue is still on the table because the solutions lies with NNPC, not the state government. Personally, I'll evacuate the whole village. LASEPA appeals to NNPC. http://www.accessmylibrary.com/coms2/summary_0286-21105626_ITM This is what Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) is doing to private companies. A combined team of the Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) and the task force on Environmental Sanitation and Special Offences, this morning shut down a substation to MTN Nigeria Limited, Amuwo Odofin, and two other companies over pollution and degradation. http://74.125.155.132/search?q=cache:Xjpa6GkgVhwJ:thepmnews.com/2009/10/02/lagos-shuts-mtn-office-2-other-coys+LASEPA+shuts+four+firms&cd=4&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a LASEPA clamps down on industries, churches http://thenationonlineng.net/web2/articles/12791/1/LASEPA-clamps-down-on-industries-churches/Page1.html Lagos tackles illegal sand diggers as LASEPA shuts three firms http://www.ngrguardiannews.com/homes_property/article11//indexn3_html?pdate=110509&ptitle=Lagos%20tackles%20illegal%20sand%20diggers%20as%20LASEPA%20shuts%20three%20firms&cpdate=140509 LASEPA Threatens To Shut Dangote, Others http://thepmnews.com/2009/03/02/lasepa-threatens-to-shut-dangote-others Lagos Shuts 6 Dredging Companies, Arrests 10 http://news.onlinenigeria.com/templates/?a=6443 LASEPA to trail vessels in Lagos dumping operation http://omi-gbigbonacollective..com/2008/07/nimasa-lasepa-to-trail-vessels-in-lagos.html Also, read up about Environment Law In Nigeria. http://74.125.155.132/search?q=cache:Duz0y22BT-QJ:goliath.ecnext.com/coms2/gi_0199-7226340/Environment-Law-In-Nigeria.html+lasepa+vessel&cd=2&hl=en&ct=clnk&gl=us&client=firefox-a |
Well, I tried to keep this thread sane and focused, Beef- I'm yoruba and 100% of the folks I salute and commend on NL are Igbo. I even open up threads to commend them. I started this thread and the person being commended here is Igbo, not yoruba. Did I not ask you to stop? Did I not ask akigbemaru to stop and edit his post? You're just a retarded asshole and I'm not even sure you're useful to yourself as a human being talk less your own people. I'm sure if another thread is opened, your dumbs ass is still gonna show up with the same tired tunibu nonsense and absurd fake court document. What if he's a drug dealer? You're obviously high and addicted to his drugs because you can't get his drugs and d!ck out of your mouth. |
I guess you guys couldn't resist. |
^Thanks for the wonderful advice. Unfortunately, I'd rather discuss with resourceful and intelligent sons and daughters of the delta, not retards and wannabees. |
Beef- Your retarded routine is all played out. @ chino19770 Must we divert this thread? Pleas stop. @ akigbemaru Please edit your post. This is unnecessary. |
Free and fair elections. The chance for us to choose our leaders and not have them selected for us. If we can choose our leaders they will be accountable to us.Free and fair elections sounds like the ultimate panacea for sure. Unfortunately and like the rest of the country, good or bad leaders, we don't know how to demand accountability. Let's set aside our respective feelings about MEND and ask some truthful and honest questions. They have weapons. They have the guts and spirit to challenge the federal military apparatus in Nigeria to negotiations. They have the will to terminate people and federal establishments. Obviously, they are in a good position to demand accountability from their elected brothers in the delta. My question to you is, have they demanded accountability from them for crimes committed against the people of the delta same way they've demanded and obtained the blood of innocent people outside the delta? Or is their understanding that good or bad, no indigene of the delta shall shed blood or pay for crimes committed against the people of the delta by their brothers and sisters in the delta and only innocent people outside the delta shall pay with their lives for crimes committed by their brothers and sisters in the delta? I'm asking these questions because it seems to me that free and fair elections is only part of the solution, people's attitude, basic sense of fairness and societal character should be part of the package. If MEND can fight the feds to a stand still and take lives at will, they for sure have the power to find, approve and elect good and effective leaders within the delta and demand accountability as needed. MEND is powerful outfit in respect of our weak central government, too bad they don't know what they have in terms of power and authority, they are not speaking with one voice, there's too much in fighting and self serving factions. They need to leverage their power and attention to uplift the delta., they need to set up a political wing with intelligent and sophisticated deltans to handle political issues on behalf of the people of the delta. It is my believe that all roads leads to the delta and people of the delta. The solution is in house. |
You're just a pitiful nuisance. What's investing stolen money and Chidi Anyaegbu got to do with Tinubu? They've asked you to provide proof in this thread and as expected, you refused. You really are a troubled soul. Sounds like your only level of understanding of anything centers around Tinubu. |
What about Tinubu? The above was your first contribution in this thread. Obviously, this thread has nothing to do with Tinubu, but you still showed up with your Tinubu obsession and managed to derail the thread. Sure, akigbemaru shouldn't have traveled down that dirty road with you, but you started it. Your tireless Tinubu drug baron and convict nonsense exists only in your mind. Curb your Tinubu obsession sometimes and get some therapy if Tinubu raped you as a kid. |
Good one by Bankole, all the leaders in ND should be held responsible, but the GOVT. should be sincereI see where you're coming from and to some extent, I agree with you. Unfortunately, what do you want the feds to do besides taking over the whole region including usurping the state's power and ability to administer and make decisions per what's good or not for the people of the delta? Do you want the feds to hold on to the regions statutory allocations and 13% oil wealth share or let the region leaders re-rout it like they've been doing and have the feds show up with fresh money on the side to further developments in the region? Blaming and asking the federal government to do more is not only a cliche, it's absolutely unreasonable and counter productive. They've been doing what a lot of people are asking them to do. The region asked for more money and the feds sent more money The region asked for larger share of the Nations oil wealth and the feds yielded. They asked for a stronger feds presence and the feds created a fully funded NDDC to be the feds presence in the region. (This is what happened to NDDC http://allafrica.com/stories/200907011045.html) So, do you want the feds to declare marshal law, sack the region's leaders and take over the whole region and get things done or just pump in more money through the regions leader's fingers? About pollution and other environmental issues, the states in the region by law are blessed with legal power and authority to enact and enforce environmental laws in their respective states, unfortunately, the leaders in the region are either ignorant per these legal assets and powers to protect their land and people or juts criminally negligent and clueless. One more time, What exactly do we want from the federal government of Nigeria? |
Who cares if Bola Tinubu is Igbo or from Niger Republic? Blowing your brains out with your fetish concoctions will not change the fact that Tinubu is a convicted drug pusher. Period! We all know Tinubu wan not a drug dealer or convicted felon so quit making a total ass of yourself. You're worse than a six years old. Obviously, you have a childish and silly obsession with Tinubu, but this is not about you or Tinubu, this is about Chidi Anyaegbu and his good work. Show some common decency and go launder your grievance with Tinubu elsewhere and let people honor Chidi Anyaegbu without your silly and puerile distractions. |
babapupa try to learn; nawooDoesn't sound like answers to my questions. Of course and like I said, I accorded your ignorant ass too much responsibility and your brain too much value. I really wasn't expecting a low grade peanut brain like you to answer simple questions and quit pulling silly stuff out of your narrow behind. Sadly, with Fools like you around, furthering good and stimulating discussions is difficult. |
Tinubu forfeited just 450,000 dollars in 1988.That was before he became a politician. He was working with EXXON-MOBIL in Chicago at the time.He was also arrested for visiting a drug-convict.Thats all Tinhate tbu had on his crminal file in U.S.Please ignore that nuisance, don' let him divert this thread with is childish absurdities. |
Till you show me what your village dey do pas Lagos, you're just another disgruntled internet loser and nuisance. |
