An appeal court in Nigeria's central Plateau State has reversed last November's impeachment of its state governor, Joshua Dariye.--BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/africa/6431823.stm Is OBJ fake empire now collapsing ?? |
did you notice; he did not eat the cake. He said he was fasting on his birthday!!!! The man is sacred of his own shadow. |
It is very sad indeed. It is a failed Nation. With $40billion external reserve; nothing to show for it. |
From all the threads, this man is not popular. It is indeed a serious eye-opener for those who cares. |
not really impressed. If they could bring a little law and order to Lagos; there would be no difference between London and Lagos. Also, I was disappointed; I could not see what they did with the colonial loots from Africa; the U-train were not reliable. I was in tube from Liverpool str to Wemble and it was like riding in Molue from Lagos Island to Iyana Ipaja: standing, sweating and praying that it does not brake down in those dark-tunnels, But I don't like the Cab Drivers' saying: Thanks Mate in their tick accent! |
@funs077, Ok, I could help but first my suggestion; 1. Oracle is just a server sitting there waiting for client connectivity. I would suggest you have a powerful desktop(mimum 1024MB), which should be easy/cheap in Naija and install your oracle server + MS SQL on it.(N40,000) note you dont need monitor as you can remote from your laptop to console 2. Get a lower specs laptop(N40,000) for your webdesign, visual basic + install oracle client on it etc 3. You will have truly client-server architecture; which mimics real production system(except no mid-tier) and can test out your application The laptop you stated below would not be less than N150,000 to buy. Above is similar advice, I suggested to my brother studying in the university. I could get at N40K:1000MHz Intel Pentium III, 14.1" XGA TFT Display, 256 MB SDRAM with 133 MHz Systembus, 20 GB Harddisk, 8xDVD-ROM. |
How dangerous is driving in Lagos now? Are there still robberies on 3rd Mainland bridge? Is Ojuelegba, Costain road safe? Are robbers still parading between MM airport and Ikeja. let me know, thks |
@funso77, what do you need the laptop for? Lots of Naija always ask for latest laptop which is then under utilized; this is capacity problem. I could help you, if you awser |
@ade007 I have not installed on XP but on W2k and Solaris 10. Once you system meets basic requirements; it is easy install on Windows. what error did you get? can you paste it here and I can help you out. |
@Loverboy, Good Idea but Nigeria is not ready. Initial interest would be great but afterward, it will loose attraction; thats Naija for you. They go back to their daily life: suffering and similing and the rich one; goes back trying to over-inflate contract. example: Amuement Park in Ibadan, was great fun in the 90's. went back in 2001, it was a ghost park. |
Hi, I am interested. Do you have one for sale? How much? |
@drealnoni, Thanks. Do I need to request for any services or it is auto-detected? In most country I have travelled, it is auto detected. I asked so that I know if i need to visit Glo office or not. |
@drealnoni, Questions: is Blackberry services now available in Nigeria? I plan to visit soon and would like to keep in-touch with my office emails. |
