Nigerians are ever so daft. Read and understand before you start to spew your trash. It's not a major, its just a class (probably with 1 to 3 credits out of an average of 100 credits they have to complete before graduating and most likely an optional class). Chemical engineering majors take dance classes. Maths majors take swimming classes. If a music major (or anyone for that matter) wants to spend $500 learning about MJ's life and how it can impact their's "musically", why not? Bunch of Olodos. |

Public's opinion . . and that's all that matters.  If it was the British olympics and only you guys were watching, the everlasting Queen and Kate Middleton could have done cartwheels for 3 hrs and it would have been acceptable. That dress rehearsal we all watched yesterday wasn't acceptable. |

coogar: i can understand why colour lovers preferred beijing---but to put down the history of an entire kingdom as rubbish is mind-boggling. If you didn't understand what boyle did, ask questions don't criticise!It's not even about the culture thing. Most people watching yesterday understood what the 4uck was going on; british history. Nothing bad in showcasing that. In fact, it was expected. But at least, it needed to be interesting and put together. China showcased their culture in a way that grasped people's interest. London's was taken too lightly. It didn't feel like an olympics opening ceremony for most parts. For goodness's sake, I saw Justin Beiber on my screen. WHY? Some random arse kids moving about. . Lord Voldemort was at the damn ceremony with his wand. Your queen fell from the clouds. It seemed more like an ill-planned circus to me.  3 Likes |

Beijing's is better. London's was a big pile of mess. A failed attempt at "something new and original". I don't envy the people present at the event last night at all. There were too many things going on at the same time. So many silly refrences and weirdness jumbled up. Apart from the olympics rings formation, everything else was bland and tasteless. The whole world was watching. The world needed to see a coordinated and goosebumps inducing ceremony. . .not Justin beiber's face and two teengers making out. It's the [b]f[/b]ucking olympics, not a broadway show. |

Why are folks thinking retrocranially ?? Anyone that believes london2lasgidi is genuine needs urgent help!! Slow gullible minds. As for inspired_m, I remember this infamous move of his during the last "best moderator" thread. Lol. Wonder why this "competition" is still on. Next time anyone wants to conduct a competition of this kind, background checks should be "checked". At least three well known people on NL should vouch for each contestant before they can be allowed to compete. Too many wannabe weirdos around. |
