alanto: This is the last time I’m going to quote you because you’re beginning to troll. I’ve explained in details what happened to the Igbo people during the civil war and what is currently happening at presidential level. Why wouldn’t pdp give the presidential spot to an Igbo man? In the USA, there are black record labels that employ only black people, Korean nail salons that employ purely Korean women but it doesn’t mean Koreans don’t employ Americans back in their countries. Like I said, the government is weaponizing tribalism and you’re falling for it. Many Yoruba people work in the east for easterners. My dad did. Seeing where you’re from, Ibadan, I’m reassured that at least in Lagos, the tribalism/hate is not that bad. You can’t grow up in Lagos like I did and say these things about Igbo people. They’re just as nice as we Yoruba people. Remember to read those books I recommended. |

MikeofAfrica: The worst part is they don’t want Igbo people to stay but they won’t let them leave either. I don’t know what to call that if not oppression. Do people not see what our political/ethnic environment is for what it is? The game they’re playing? Some Nigerians don’t know Nigeria’s history at all. Some of them don’t know that Igbo people wanted out so bad that they went to war for it but still didn’t get it and had to settle for presidency rotation and now they’re not even getting that. Peter Obi’s one of the finest candidates Nigeria has ever produced and just for them to give him a pdp presidential ticket, his ethnicity denied him that. He had to join another party and said he’ll do it on his own. Naturally, Nigerians who are detribalized as they say, who welcome other tribes as they say, ought to stand gallantly behind Obi for fairness but instead they turned their backs. It’s simply history repeating itself. |

alanto: Lol you're questioning all that you believe in seeing me being so neutral about ethnicity yet I’m a Yoruba man. It's in the books, black man. Read and you'll see the bigger picture. Now, are you genuinely asking me how the Igbo people have been treated unfairly? The government has succeeded fully in weaponising tribalism and I didn’t know. More effective than poverty. Biafra represented the nationalist aspirations of the Igbo ethnic group, whose leadership felt they could no longer invest with a federal government dominated by the interests of the Muslim Hausa-Fulanis of Northern Nigeria. They wanted an out and instead of the government to sit down with them to discuss, they went to civil war with them using the most inhumane techniques to win said war. Later, a retardeddd constitution was drafted and it allows for rotation of power to all the regions(which is bogus btw) and the easterners are yet to get this power or even VP like you said and instead of a round table discussion to solve this mishap, you’re talking about laughing on their grave. What’s funny about oppressing an entire region? All the regions you mentioned up there have gotten the rotation, why not Igbo people? As much as this isn’t the right genre of discussion to be having in the first place, I’ve had to stoop low to your level of reasoning and to correct even that lowly reasoning and I cringed a lot. Another reminder for you to read those Kwane Nkrumah books. They don’t teach us anything about panafricanism in school in Nigeria. You have to sought out important knowledge yourself. |

alanto: Why does everyone assume I'm Igbo especially on NL? Is Nigeria really that full of hatred or I've been living blindly all these years. I'm a Yoruba man and I lived all my life in Lagos with Igbo friends. My closest friend is Igbo and I want him to do well so bad. You can't select a few Igbo people who are angry and rightfully so and you use them to generalise all Igbo people and all the points you've made is just you trying to justify your oppressive spirit. No matter how you look at it, the Igbo people have been treated unfairly if you know your history and the least they deserve is a round table discussion. In the evolution of humanity, there's something called Unity Of Purpose. It is a risk but it sets aside differences and drives the progress of humanity. Through this, you forgo ethnic background/language and focus on making your life easier together. It is what you see in USA and Europe, they have so many accents and different languages but they understand that they need to WORK TOGETHER for their own survival. Before humanity found Unity Of Purpose, we used Unity Of Language. Unity Of Language was simply for safety because of common tongue but it was not suitable for progress. It is what you see in Africa, especially in Nigeria and our government weaponises it to oppress you and I. Funny part is this same govt people of different tribes have found Unity Of Purpose which is to loot our treasury, hence their efficiency. Igbo and Yoruba work hand in hand at Aso Rock to loot us while you're here calling names. The truth is the government already controls everything we do but the only thing they can't control is your thoughts. You need to read old and new books about your origin as an African and you'll find the answers you're looking for. You can start with Kwame Nkrumah's books. Unchain yourself. |

alanto: Ughhh you sound so backward Jesus! What is this you just wrote? Twice Yoruba has become president and Ibos haven’t smelled VP? This is beyond tribalism. You remind of something from the 17th century. I want to study people like you; extreme tribalists. I read a lot about the loyalty of tribesmen from Oyo Kingdom in 1791 to Zulu in 1816. What makes them want to fight opposition and die for their kings even if the kings would rape their wives and sell them to Europeans? I couldn’t understand it and you’re showing the same traits. Even if you don’t read, experience should tell you that having your tribesman as a President is of no benefit to you whatsoever. And it is only the spirit of oppression passed down to you from your oppressors that will make you utter your last paragraph. Ibos feel wronged here and we’ll not let them leave and yet you laugh in their faces? I don’t understand you. |

GoodLife4live: Why are you being so inhumane. Clearly, those who are agitating through Ipob or UGM feel like they’ve been cheated. They feel like they have no voice in a country they share their resources with. Even the insecurity in the north, if you watched that BBC documentary, they interviewed the gunmen and they all explained that the reason for their behavior is hunger, that they feel neglected by the govt. Down in the southwest, people that engage in ritualistic activities do it for money, they do it for food. These are all different forms of agitations and there are many more. As much as I don’t support any of these sort of activities, I believe we have to look at the bigger picture. Don’t fall for this tribal game our politicians play through media. Let’s stay united and vote wisely. |

deeva2: The only reason why Nigerians migrate to Lagos is to WORK for the capitalists who exploit Nigeria through Lagos state. All of us Yoruba, Igbo, Hausa all get paid meagre wages working for capitalists and it is this wages that gives us purchasing power. If Nigerians from other regions had the choice of where to work and live considering security, ease of transportation/traffic, serenity, Lagos will not be even your ideal choice Deeva2, hence the reason why it's one of the worst place to LIVE IN. Your brain has immediately gone to think Tinubu is the one creating said jobs. Tell your brain to calm down. The only reason for the influx of foreign investment in Lagos is OPPRESSIVE CAPITALISM. Nigeria as a colony saw several European companies make X15 more profit in Lagos than in their parent companies with meagre pay to Nigerian workers. Some still do! The companies can't run themselves so Nigerians from the east, north and west were forced to troop into Lagos to toil like slaves for peanuts. You can read all about it in this book 'How Europe Underdeveloped Africa' This massive population and active economy that now gives Lagosians purchasing power in Lagos is why Tinubu can sustain projects like the BRT and all others. Feasibility studies for bus transportation systems will often show loss for the state except with a large and buzzing population. That's why most countries' bus systems are inter state for population size but Lagos doesn't need that but still if you live in Lagos, you'd see that the BRT system is not as efficient as it should be. We could absolutely eliminate the uncomfortable yellow buses and okadas but if we do that, how Tinubu won make money? I hope you see now that Lagos has so much potential but it's underperforming. |

PlanktonX: You'd see the nonsensical reply he'll come up with. These set of people are like the slaves that reported their fellow blacks that were trying to escape the plantation. Very oppressed with zero pride. These set of people collect salary to push Tinubu online so it's their job. You're trying to convince him for your heart and head, he's trying to confuse you to increase his salary. THEY KNOW! THEY ALL KNOW THEIR CANDIDATE IS A FRAUDULENT MAN. THEY KNOW OBI IS NOT EVEN IN THE SAME CATEGORY AS TINUBU. At least, we know Atiku supporters are voting along tribal lines ignorantly. Tinubu supporters are literate and know the dangers of tribalism but still choose to use it as a tool alongside corruption. What scares me is that there are so many of them. |

Confirmedzombie: Obi can manage Nigeria. Don't make people confuse you that it's a herculian task or anything like that. The first thing you have to do is cut cost of governance like you'd do a business. You can't start a new business and use your profits to be buying Porsche and carrying women. You must save. In this aspect, Obi scored 100/100 that he got nicknamed "e no dey give shishi". The money acquired from cutting cost of govt can immediately be pumped into the economy. Into providing capital for agriculture and entrepreneurs and all of that. The money he left in treasury for Anambra after 8 years was probably meant for that. I heard we're losing 1trillion naira from oil theft monthly. About 770,000 barrels every month stolen under APC! Tinubu will not put an end to it lol. HE'S THE LORD OF APC. 4 Likes 1 Share |

The people that introduced democracy to us also introduced debates that all candidates must attend so their supporters can know clearly their plans for them. This leads me to asking people how they know what Tinubu has in store for them. How did he convince you? Let's say he has done well in the past, how do you know he's still that same man if not through the debate? It is through the debate your questions can be answered by your candidates not those speeches full of jargons like the ones Tinubu has been making. I wish people would look at this the way I do. You're trying to pick a leader that doesn't show up. 2 Likes |
