Elsueno:so what? How many people can afford 200naira coffee in Nigeria? I bet not much because like 99% are on a tight as fück budget. In America they're more jobs and buying stuff isn't as scary because you only need to work harder or get a second job to buy what you want. And shall we talk about minimum wage? Still not a level playing field if you ask me. |
CandidSeeker:You mean don't bother yourself about what the BIBLE says about him... Because I have only quoted the Bible here and not any pastor. |
Maximus69:Acting self-righteous and egoistic is how you get ignored on MY posts. Can you honestly fück off? |
Dtruthspeaker:Thank you for admitting that your family are dirty filthy people who love to do wickedness and therefore deserve to be hated before you follow Jesus. For saner people, we don't think that of our family and won't love them less for a deranged likely-fictional Nazarene from the middle east. |
Daejoyoung:My opinion when the Bible verse is there for all to see? Care to tell what's symbolic about hating your entire family before you can accept Jesus? //What is cultic about people holding firm to a course and dying for it// Wow! Easy to say when you're not the one dying. Suddenly you don't have a problem with people dying for their beliefs but you likely loathe Jihadists. Hypocrite much? Freedom fighters are technically cultists. A cult is not necessarily bad. But asking people to hate their family and possibly dying before joining the cause is radical, over the line and outright fascistic. If you can't see this, sorry, I can't help you.. |
Dtruthspeaker:That's why you go to a man that asks you to hate your entire family more before you can follow him. Says it all really... |
Dtruthspeaker:What Jesus commanded has nothing to do with self defense. Off-topic. |
Daejoyoung:So you mean looking for figs off season and them cursing the trees forever for not bearing fruits was a routine practice by prophets in the bible...hmm.. I agree with you, Jesus statement is not only harsh but has some key ingredients of a cult mentality in it. If he was truly as good as Christians say, he would not utter such statements. It is not just what it is, with that verse Jesus is not any different from warlord Mohammed or a KKK leader or even the leader of a local university cult in Nigeria. |
Christians usually portray a meek, tolerant and accomodating image of a key figure of their religion, Jesus. It would seem like this man that supposedly walked the earth some 2,000 years ago is the most blameless, sinless and perfect human to ever exist. However, past experiences have shown that in religion, things are never how the followers claim it to be (Islam as a religion of peace comes to mind). Looking more closely and HONESTLY at the life and the utterances of this Jesus, we find some truly terrifying and horrible teachings which would not be expected from such immaculate personality. First, we all know that certain trees only bear fruit at certain times of the year, when it is favorable for them and their seeds. And absolutely nothing can make them do otherwise. But surprisingly, Jesus cursed a fig tree for not bearing fruits off season because he was hungry in Matthew 21. It is kinda unexpected from a selfless, compassionate person to curse a tree that was unable to bear fruit in an unfavorable season. Secondly, The teachings of Jesus in Matthew 10 34- 37 leave a lot to be desired. Asking people to love their families less for following you is a teaching that can only be found in the world's most dangerous cults. It is baffling and totally discrediting of a truly unique loving figure to utter these things and claim his followers abide by them. What are your thoughts? Do you think Jesus is the most perfect human to ever exist even after these obvious and dangerous flaws? Or do you think it's just a case of usual dishonest cherrypicking where Christians disregard contradictimg parts of their book and just believe a particular narrative anyway?

Pelecius:I bet a rat's ass you have no idea about evolution too. But for the sake of discussion, can you define what you understand by evolution? |
juniorstar:Mosquitoes feed on blood. So if the dead person is fresh and still has blood flowing in the vessels, yes. Although body heat helps mosquitoes locate humans so it might be a little harder to detect a colder dead body. |
butterfly777:Your inability to understand evolution isn't a valid argument against it. |
tatatar:Are you fùcked in the head? So because some equally deluded Christians think it is okay to kill people for victimless crimes like homosexuality and blasphemy you think it is okay too? How old are you? 5? Lmao take it or leave it? I'll tell you what? We'll leave Islam. Your religion is a death cult that does not belong in a sane society. Intolerance would be the sole reason why Islam will meet its inevitable death. Wait for it. It's coming.

delkuf://The only time the word of God won't work...// Congratulations. You just agreed with me that the word of god won't always work with a Christian. //The word of god works for any body...// Mmm...okay, I agree... and FAILS for any body too. If a strong Christian can't get it right all the time. You think a non-christian would? Of course not. So again, you agree with me that this word of god thing works at the rate of CHANCE... Like a coin flip. Being a chronic gambler or a first time player does not at all impact your chance of getting a head or a tail. So being a Christian or a "sinner" or Buddhist does not impact your chances of the word of god working for you. |
The word of God doesn't even always work for Christians. How much more someone who's not a Christian? The probability that a "word of faith" works for the strongest Christian in the world (imagine there's there's a list ) isn't any different from that of getting a head in a coin toss. Talk less of a so-called non-christian who is hell bound? What are the odds? |
That Islam is a Religion of peace is the most laughable and perhaps the world's most ironic statement. |
Christians can never agree on the same thing. Yet they serve a god who is allegedly not an author of confusion. Lmao |
The same god that dwells in everyone especially believers? Hmm. ... I understand your need to want to move closer to god. If I was god, I would run from your ignorant religious ass too. |
Ghostrye:It's not entirely implausible that we are living in a simulation. But yeah so what? Where's the evidence? What would change? |
Faith is the excuse people give when they have no good reason to believe something. |
Hugh the numerously debunked watchmaker arguement again. *eye roll* |
Nice thread. |
shekauvsbuhari:The tenets of Christianity are not love, equality, charity, freedom or human rights. Please don't straw man me. The US Constitution as laid down by the "perfect founding fathers" was pro-slavery. The Thirteenth Amendment (THIRTEENTH) to the United States Constitution abolished slavery and involuntary servitude. That alone blows your entire argument out of the water. A religion that asks women to shut up and are not worthy to air their own opinions in the church has nothing to do with equality. A religion that endorses slavery in its very early (supposedly more pristine stages) has nothing to do with freedom, love or charity. Again, please don't straw man me. |

BackllGodNaija:Clearly I was expecting too much from you when I thought you would understand my post. Lemme dumb it down a little further for your single digit IQ brain. The dollar was always based on the gold standard. That was only changed a few years ago. Nothing motivates the American government to action than oil. As can be seen in the middle east with Iraq, Iran and US romance with other oil rich countries. Diamond is an equally valuable asset to the Americans in terms of what we call fiat money. When Americans print "in God we trust" on their actual currency. A lot of interpretations can be made from it. As the quote wasn't even the original statement on the greenback. It is therefore not far reaching to claim the term god could very well mean these precious metals. But what would I expect from someone who thinks a quote on the dollar proved his god exists? It would be flattery to even say you have the intelligence of a 5-year old. Please stick to believing in the god myth and humping your buybull . You are obviously too dumb to be left alone to start thinking for yourself. |
"In God we trust" is different from "in Yahweh we trust." The first statement leaves the Idea of God more open to interpretation while the second one refers to a more specific deity. What you're doing is quoting a vague statement and then inserting YOUR own idea of the word to mean what YOU think it should mean. And using it potentially as evidence for a god you have not shown to exist in the first place. That is a fatally foolish manner of reasoning typical of believers who are grabbing at every straw to prove their imaginary friends. The original owners of the quote don't give two shots about Yahweh. GOD = Gold, Oil and Diamond. So quit the buttlicking and start providing some real evidence for your magical sky daddy in the cosmos. |
Religious myths give people the perfect excuses to commit the greatest evil towards their fellow men.
|
delkuf:Accept you were wrong. Count your losses and move on. No point crying over spilt milk is there? |
Prayer...is like gambling. You only talk about your wins not your losses. |
IamMichael:Haha ikr he's honestly one of the most devoted Christian apologists on this forum nowadays. When I debate these guys I don't do it for the sake of it. I do it because of readers, in now and in future, who are looking for answers and are perhaps sitting on the fence. That way I think it's much more easier to keep sane while discussing people who think fairytales are true even in the face of contradicting evidence. |
shadeyinka:Somehow you avoided the Islam phrase despite claiming Muslims acknowledge the existence of other gods. Lmao..mental gymnastics coach. And you think I'm depraved yet you think man-made gods are actual gods. Lol..so by your non-depraved standards, a god created by man himself is worthy of belief, let alone worship? |

And that is why we go to Him for
?
) isn't any different from that of getting a head in a coin toss.
