Vyvyanvyvy: He is misbehaving because they are threatening him bad, he misses me and want to be back with me. he wasn’t a bad boy when he used to stay with me that’s why I want him back with me so I can take care of him myself Ok, Then talk to your husband, reach a truce.. tell him to give your son a chance for 6 months... plead with him, and give him reason to believe.. The time frame will help shape his mind.. Good luck, and I hope everything works out well for you.. Cheers! |
Family › Re: My Husband Doesn’t Want My Son To Come And Stay With Us by Badgers14: 1:03pm On Mar 13, 2020 |
Vyvyanvyvy: I had 2 children. When I got married, my husband had none and accepted them like his own children.
Before marriage, we had discussed about the children living with us after marriage but that couldn’t be possible anymore because we were having financial problem so we couldn’t afford to move to a bigger apartment. We were staying in a room self contain with my daughter while my son was staying with my elder brother and his wife.
Now three years after we had moved to a bigger house still my husband doesn’t want my son to come and live with us. At the moment my son is going through hard times. My sister in law has been maltreating him to an extent that he has been stealing, he was caught and beaten like an animal. My brother said he doesn’t want him in his house again. He wants me to come and collect him.
I pleaded with my husband for me to bring him with us but he said no, he should stay there because he doesn't want him to damage our children. I’m angry at him I stopped talking to him and I don’t know where my son will go because I have no mother no father it’s only my elder brother and kid sister even my sister who is married doesn’t want him. I’m pained and in tears seeing my only son suffering while I’m still alive and I’m helpless to protect him. Could you negotiate a truce with your husband.. bring your 12 years old son with you for a while, say 6 months.. give him a chance for a good life.. Then if he misbehaves then you know what to do... Then as soon as your son arrives, start working on him and also an exit plan just in case, like a friend, or relatives while praying to God to straighten your son's character.. I think your son needs some love... Aside: why does your son misbehave tho? Just curious.. |

densiks: There’s no big deal about this story.
There is an alternative to request her remains to be sent over to Nigeria if they won’t grant a visa.
After all it is not a must that she should be buried in America. She is a naturalized American Citizen, I dont know if you read that part? |

Family › Re: Married But I'm Not Connected With My Husband, Hence I'm Depressed by Badgers14: 1:00am On Feb 23, 2020 |
Girlwhocares: Please help me, I'm loosing my sanity everyday! I'm scared to open up to friends and families because of what they will think or how disappointed or bad I will make them feel, also I'm afraid people will be judgemental about my actions.
I'm not physically and emotional connected with my husband which is affecting our marriage and my well-being, we live as co-tenant, we hardly have any conversation, we do things differently, we share different rooms, no sex for the past 3 years! Even during courtship and the fist two years of marriage I can account for days we were intimate.
Things are fallen out of place everyday, we have a child together who will be 4yrs and the thought of having another child has not crossed my mind.
I get irritated at everything, I hardly show appreciation towards him even if it means he has done his best, which later i will find myself guilty and try to make up but the spark and connection isn't just there.
Most times, I have a non-challant attitude towards him and everything he does to make me happy.
I feel lonely, bored and incomplete even when I'm 90% sure my husband loves me and always ready to make me happy.
I feel awkward communicating my feelings and thoughts to him because I know I might flare up with anger even when he hasn't done or said anything to warrant it.
Please I have come to this faceless forum to pour out my mind, my heart is heavy, I need someone to talk to, I'm afraid my personal intention of walking out this marriage even when my husband hasn't done anything to deserve this might backfire and has its negative effect on our child.
I honestly don't need anyone to insult me please as I'm going through a lot. All i need is mature married wo(men) opinions
Thank you for your time. Before I air my opinion.. Do you mind sharing who is the other guy on your mind? |

Travel › Re: With N20M, Should I Travel To USA Or Stay In Nigeria? by Badgers14: 8:25am On Feb 22, 2020 |
Brodapounds: Hello dear nairalanders.
Please I'm going through a state of mental confusion.
Currently i have approximately 20 million and 300 thousand naira in my bank account.
I have two thoughts.
1) I am 25 years old but I'm not a university graduate, i only have ND (National deploma) from a polytechnic In Edo state, Auchi precisely.
I would have become a graduate years ago but after my "ND" years ago, i refused to go back to school and i decided to hustle for money.
Most of my classmates in school back then are all graduates but all the same, looking at my bank account now, i have no regrets.
So this is what i plan on doing.
1) Can i further my Education In any university in the United States with the money and plan on staying back after my degree, for the fact that I'm 25. Will that be advisable?
2) should i stay back in Nigeria and use part of the money to build a house In my hometown in Benin and use the rest for business?
3) Is there a chance of going to USA and start all over again, look for job. Will the money be enough to rent a house, foot some bills untill i see a job in the USA.
Note i choose USA only because it's my dream country, I'm not scared of the traveling ban because I'm 100% confident that it will be taken away few months from now.
Please i won't be replying any mention or questions.
All i want is to take note of good advice.
I already know a reliable traveling agent.
Please other suggestions are welcomed apart from mine.
Please help With 20 Million Naira.. build a house and establish yourself in Nigeria. Once your business set, you can always visit U.S and come back.. Here is why using the 20m to hustle U.S is a bad idea.. Forget about travel agents, they will just take your money, there are no guarantees in issuing non immigrant visas.. but let's say you were successful.. by the end of the day , you might be out 1m naira.. then travelling to U.S to " hussle" remember you dont have the correct document to get legitimate work, so you will end up depleting your resources.. If you enter school, your tuition will be out of state/international student rate which is substantially higher . Now after school, your war chest (finances) will be severely depleted. Remember you still dont have green card and such not that many company wants to go into the trouble of hiring you to work for them and your finances will be almost non existent at the time. But if you build a house in 9ja, at least you have something to show for yourself and then you can establish a business, you could always vacation to U.S and come back or if you find a legit way to secure a green card, then you can make your move... remember the house in 9ja and your business still dey for 9ja. Please dont quote me, I am not feeling fine...
