I have never done any of those things at anybodys expense... why doesnt he record the so-called all-important match and watch it later when im not around...
Why would he do that? The fun of a football game is in watching it live and knowing things can still happen.

You ladies should stop being so needy for attention. Sometimes it's just you ladies trying to control your man so that he would follow you to do what you enjoy and stop doing things you don't enjoy regardless of how much he enjoys them.

FYI, no lady is so important that you'd be watching highlights just because she hates football. That's asking your man to lose himself just to keep you.

Its only interesting when its the world cup...the rest of it is mind-numbingly boring....

And i hate that fifa game so much
why should your hate determine what another person enjoys? Do guys try to prevent you from spending hours doing meaningless makeup? Or watching Zeeworld or Telemundo or BBNaija?

oga it wasn't the same 'crime' they were accused of. Chelsea was accused of signing foreign underage players, and was banned by FIFA.

Barcelona was accused of talking to Griezmann without Atletico's consent and was fined by the Spanish FA.

Barca wasn't fined for fielding an ineligible player and so it has nothing to do with this topic. In Spain, the penalty for fielding ineligible players is disqualification.

As bad as it sounds, a bird in hand is worth 2 in the bush. If it's something you can get experience from, take it and get the experience, then scram.

Nigeria is a sad place to be born and grow up. We don't even have labour laws that protect workers, that's why Nigerian workers are exploited at every turn.

I don't even know who to blame.

Cblessing:
@ OP, nothing is wrong with you.

Some people are wired this way. Such people are, largely, introverts.

The people in this category detest seeing people (those they are in a relationship with) throwing themselves into their faces too often.

Try the suggestions below:

1. Please, tell the guy you are dating currently about this challenge of yours. If he understands you, he will give you the space you crave and see you less often (If I were him, I will not bother seeing you until you crave my presence).

2. End the relationship if the guy is not willing to stop throwing himself at your face everytime

3. Try a long distance relationship. Ensure the man is busy enough to have less time to disturb you with calls

4. Ensure you do not stay in the same State with your hubby when you eventually get married. Marry someone who may visit home just once (one weekend) in a month, else you get tired of him and the marriage becomes boring

5. Love yourself knowing you are wired differently and go for what makes you happy and not what the society says. Most people are cool & will be happier with single parenthood but they are in marriages that make them miserable because the society places TOO MUCH premium on marriage.

6. You are perfectly okay and unique in your own way. Find someone who understands your uniqueness

Cheers
Funny how everyone with issues get told its because they are introverts.

About half of the world population are introverts and they don't all come online to complain about getting irritated IN EVERY RELATIONSHIP after a while. Introversion is different from whatever you are alluding to here, it just means you look inward in the first step of your cognitive process.

I have only met 5 Mbaise persons in my entire life. Hear the analogy!!!

1. My former colleague. A guy who I thought was my good friend but ended knowing the things he said behind me and ifelt like 'killing' him. In your front, he will shine teeth, behind you, you have been murdered.

2. My neighbour. One of the most selfish person alive. He can never inconvenience himself for anyone but when he's in need, he will be very good. He usually comes back home late, so I usually wake at night to open gate for him. The day I went for a night vigil, even though I pre informed him to help me open the gate when I come back around 4am, he switched off his phone and I had to sleep at the gate till morning as there was nobody else around to open the gate for me.

3. My crush. A beautiful, well endowed Mbaise girl. I asked her out, she still dey form Don Jazzy, I kuku japa, pursue other alternatives even though we have hung out a few times. Before I know what's up, babe saw me as her number one enemy. I will see her on the road and greet her, she will hiss and start walking fast. Sometimes, once she see me from afar, she will turn back or change her route. I was like, wetin I do wrong? I didn't even get returns on my investment but I still forego it. Why this girl dey see me as Buhari? cheesy

4. My Guy's friend. A truly handsome, working class, married guy who cannot sit with guys and buy beer and drink but once he sees a woman, he can spend 1m. You only know he has money when there's a girl around. Ask him for a little help no matter the urgency, O.Y.O but bring a girl along, viaaamm! Money shows up.

5. My bet guy-turned friend. A truly wonderful guy. He formerly live in Malay before relocating back to Naija. He's a friend in deed. Unselfish, rational, intelligent, business inclined and a brother. He's a friend any guyman will wish to have.

So be the judge
these 5 categories of people exist in every tribe/community.

no they do not always know,, although they would never admit it. They are humans too and are prone to emotional judgements based on stereotypes.

True, it is usually motivated by love but the motivation does not validate the method. Many parents have stifled their children's potential out of love, and others have ensured their children get married to terrible persons from 'good' families or tribes.
Romance › Re: My Parents Refused To Accept My Suitor by Bahddo(m): 9:04am On Sep 27, 2019
Nigerian parents are too difficult, coupled with the tribal bigotry prevalent in Nigeria.

They prefer you marry a devil from the tribes they accept, than marry an angel from a tribe they don't like. Sometimes they have no meaningful reason except a bad experience they once had with someone from there.

As if we don't all have bad people in our tribes.

Generalization is very bad, have you dated ll women
I need to date all women to know they are all manipulative? Funny. I never said all women try to manipulate THEIR MEN only. They all try to manipulate men, even strangers they just met.

Are you talking about the ladies in relationships that would never say what they want but pull all sort of stunts to lead you to do it for them?

Or perhaps ladies who friend-zone the nicest guys around them, milking them for attention and perhaps monetary benefits without the slightest consideration for the guys' wants? Or the ones who keep them for later when they are done with the bad guys and need someone naive to tie the knot with?

Don't bother trying to ask about mothers. They rank up there among the worst kind of manipulators, gaslighting their children (especially sons) as often as it suits them.

Guile is a woman’s treasured weapon, and unlike men they often don't go direct for what they want. So yeah, all ladies would TRY to manipulate someone (mostly men) to get what they want even if they don't all succeed. There is also a 90% chance that YOU have tried to manipulate at least one guy in the last week.

Muttee:
A Nigerian National, Nzemeka Ezims was arrested for alleged public fraud via loading false information online as well as allegedly running racketeering and money-laundering scams.

The Immigration Police Bureau chief, Sompong Chingdoung, told reporters that the Nigerian suspect was arrested for alleged public fraud via loading false information online.

Deputy Commander For Investigation with the Immigration Police, Pol Colonel Sathit Prom-uthai accused Ezims of running a money-laundering business by exporting goods to Africa and providing an underground money-exchange service. The arrest warrant was issued for the romantic scam the man reportedly involved in from June to September 2018, which led to 13 victims losing a combined Bt2.9 million (About N32.2million)).

Since the bank accounts used in the crime were linked and led to the arrest of a Thai woman who withdrew cash to wire to other members of the gang, police were able to zero in on five Nigerians, including Ezims, and five Thais.

. Now it’s about me ... lols. Address the case, debate wisely. It is not hate for programmers. You don’t even know if I am a programmer. What differentite a senior developer from a junior developer. You may try to sugar coat this layoff as you wish, Andela terms and contract does not favor the developers. Imagine after signing a bond, you are laid off. Now put yourself in the shoes of those laid off who have sacrificed other opportunities. I know you will come with the argument that they learnt. It all balls down to the fact that there are poor labor laws in Africa! Answer again, if you are a senior developer, would you choose to work for Andela?
Yes I would. There are hundreds of senior developers (Nigeria, Ghana, Egypt, etc) who still work at Andela despite the fact that their experience makes it relatively easier to secure jobs and relocate to Germany or Canada. They have reasons for their choice and you aren't in a position to question it.

It's a capitalist world, and it rarely favours the worker. Labour laws are generally terrible especially in Nigeria. In Rwanda where they didn't lay anyone off, I'm pretty sure it's because of favorable government policies.

I'm not sure in what world calling something 'terrible' is an attempt to sugarcoat it, but then you are free to push any narrative you like.

a company that sacks 400 of its product ... what does that tell you? As much as you are trying to make sense out of this, you aren’t making any sense. I am not here to debate whether Africa is ripe for tech or not. Point is your product is African and market is the western countries, that the western countries now want the western product, what do you do? Please read my post again. I don’t want to say I see this company go under in 6 years. You
no, the market now wants more experienced devs because juniors are now easier to get.

It's terrible that they had to lay off workers because they misjudged market in the first place. However my point is that all your ranting about programmers has nothing to do with this. It was just you using the opportunity to express the bitterness you feel for programmers.

You can hope/say what you wish. Many thought it wouldn't kick off in the first place. Many also thought it wouldn't survive its first 2 years. There would always be nay-sayers who don't do anything themselves but wait their whole lives to see others fail.

What are YOU doing to make the world (or even just Africa) a better place?

the question you should ask yourself is why are they suddenly uninterested to work with Africans and now interested in Americans. It Is simple ... either the quality of work doesnt meet expectations or the more Americans are now learning how to code which makes it more competition. Andela was solving a problem with an immediate solution I.e lack of developers but then it’s quite fast to train a developer. So we have much more supply of developers than the market. Once there was scarcity and high demand but now it has reduced. Andela only capitalized on the weak forex system. Make money in dollars, pay in local currency. When I said solve problems peculiar to Africa, I meant 90 percent of Andela’s customers should be Africans. The issue of banks does not hold here. There are Americans who still go to American banks to deposit money. This doesn’t not change the fact that mobile apps are solving the problems ... pls understand not every one feels he has the problem you are willing solve. There is no bias about programming. My point is in building a software, how many of the applications and programs used are created by Africans. That’s my point about being Africa. I ll give you an interesting one- So Fred Swaniker founded African Leadership Academy, he selects graduates from this academy and send them to standford. He found out there was little impact in return on Africa which and so he founded African Leadership unviversirty. The university develops Leaders for Africa. Now if these developers were developing products for Africans, the story might have been different.
all this your rambling has nothing to do with the issue at hand. Andela market was never Africa as your typical African firms don't value tech enough to invest in it. In simple terms, they can't or won't pay. If you were a developer with any experience working with Nigerian firms, you'd understand this.

There are other developers in Africa who are building solutions from banking to payment gateways to real estate to entertainment. You don't realize it because you live in a nation that still struggles to get the basics right. No app is going to generate electricity for you or fix your roads, so you think devs aren't doing anything.

Andela's product is the talent they help train, not software and they give back to the African society with initiatives like the Andela Learning Community that helps Africans learn software technologies. If that isn't relevant enough for you, too bad.

You have a business backed by VC investments in millions of dollars and want 90% of your customers to be Africans who would pay in Naira and other weak currencies? Good luck with that man.
