Travel › Re: Dear Nigerians In Diaspora, Is This Wickedness Or Selfishness? by Bandeco(m): 6:07am On Apr 29, 2017 |
opribo: Anybody is free to travel abroad as long as they are travelling with valid documents and for good intentions. When my company sends me on training abroad, I stay in the finest hotels and I try to catch up with friends abroad, what I have noticed is that out of 10 friends I meet perhaps only one is measuring up. The rest are struggling. Some go to work by 2am in the morning and come back by 3pm, some do two different jobs to be able to cope with house rent, and other bills that keep coming and never ending, some don't sit down throughout at their work place, they stand all through, some cannot go out to have a chilled beer and correct point and kill pepper soup. Their routine is work, sleep whenever possible, eat and church whenever their schedule permits. Some cannot return home on holidays because they dont have valid documents thats why you see some 20 years they have not seen home, those that have paper nko they can only come home once during their vacation which is usually like 2 weeks max, 'dem no born them well to stay beyond two weeks' else they are fired and before that time they will be waiting for sales period so they can buy things cheap to come and display here.
Some the work they do over there, they will never try it in Nigeria and yet they are graduates. Honestly, the life of most diasporia people is better described as glorified slavery regardless they have their permanent papers. When we go out clubbing I end up taking up the entire bill and I am like you guys have the hard currency why should I pay but they tell me it ain't easy to come by. To crown it all the conditions some of them work is very uncomfortable, some work in below -20F temperatures, some tender old sick people with highly contagious disease, some drive UBER, some are into credit card fraud and other crimes. The few that are working in the banks or other high brow offices go through discreet racist treatment yet they cannot complain. All these things comes back to haunt them in their old ages.
So the truth be told, if and only if our leaders can make Nigeria better believe you me no Nigerian will ever prefer to stay in that cold and unacceptable treatment they tolerate. We have the best weather, we have the best mineral resources, we have the best inland water ways. WHY WHY WHY cant we develop these things. Build a network of interconnected rail line across the country, obey laws, love the country above self, kill corruption and make the laws work irrespective of person, class or position. Provide 24 hours electricity and provide round the clock security that works, build good roads and develop infrastructures, keep our environment clean these are the things the diaspora people enjoy minus that I cant point to anything they have we don't have.
So if you have a good job here, please my sister think twice before you go there to live, of course you can travel to any country to have a good holiday and return back. No place like Naija believe me, forget about the criminals with no good intentions holding on to power thereby destroying our country and mortgaging our future. Some day someone will arise to clean the Augean stables. We have a rich culture, why dont you ask why some of them prefer to send their kids home for good training and some when they want to marry they think home.
Our leaders are our problem and not our country, our country is blessed with the best weather, good arable land, many culture, deep belief in God and above all a hard working human resource. Our problem are the leaders who destroy this country and when they travel you see them queue up to board planes and even board trains, you see them obey traffic light and queue up at shopping malls to pay. They are wicked, they are the enemies of this great country, they must be stoned to death anywhere they are found. Your post made sense until you wrote that faux pas @ bolded. How can you write that deep belief in God (which to me is a fictional character) constitute blessing to Nigeria. On the contrary, god/Allah and their religions are a bane to our country. |

Connect01: Do you have evidence to support your own birth: where you came from and where you are heading to after this your existence here? Some hundred years ago, where were you and in some hundred years time, where will you be? It is simply beyond your comprehension.
You can opt against being a religious fanatic/freak, but don't doubt the existence of God so that you will not have a shameful end. Argument from ignorance. Neither do you know all what you asking the guy.! I don't know this therefore my favorite god did it.. What a weak argument. You are not different from the primitive, cattle herders that conjured up gods in their attempt to explain these things |

Henrydone: Evolutionists are the most ignorant and illogical folks in the world, and religion has been before whatsoever you claim . Lol... How idiotic can creationists be to believe it is true that humans are made from dust, rib, clay but finds it hard to embrace the fact that we are related to our primate cousins(chimpanzee, bonobos, gorilla etc) whose anatomical and genetic similarities is without question. Because they find it hard to reconcile the fact of evolution with their fairytale bullshit |

walls01: next time anyone says there is no God, don't try to explain cause they will just ask you more silly questions and mock you.
they condemned and ask question they don't even have answer to. you can expose there foolishness by asking them in the beginning what happened? and sit back and watch how foolish they will respond some will just disappear totally.
remember the fool had said in his heart there is no God, you can only expose the foolishness by letting him tell us what happened in the beginning The fool said in his "heart".. Lol This shows the ignorance of the primitive desert dwellers that wrote the bible. They thought the heart is the center of cognition. It's just a bloody pump. No wonder they primitive ignorant people that conjure up the bible never knew there is an organ encased in the skull - the human brain - arguably the most sophisticated thing in the universe. Nowhere in the bible the human brain was mentioned. |

chaiks: OK.now I get d real gee.one can apply for admission without d bank details and I'll be granted admission .its clear to me now.some personal issues made me asked about D's angle.now, does application fee applies and aw much if pls? Providing proof of funding is an admission requirement for all Norwegian University. I did not say one can be granted admission without it.. Most universities will not consider ur application if you don't show proof of funding by way of your personal or sponsor's bank statement. You seem too naive for someone that made 4.49. Your questions and writings doesn't give the impression of someone you claim to be. It's a year now you made your first post on this thread and you are still asking very uninspiring questions. That's why for over a year now, you have not been able to apply for any scholarship, anywhere. The same sort of question you were asking last year, is still what you are asking this year. I say get real, read and research. |

There's no way you can avoid the funding requirements. Even if you gain admission without providing proof of funding, you CANNOT avoid it when applying for a study permit. Norwegian directorate of immigration will not approve your application if you don't show proof of transfer of NOK103950 into a Norwegian bank account. So don't get excited because someone gain admission without bank statement. |

Word bro.. Most Nigerian youth are the most uninformed youths in the world. I can not even believe that this is even a debate.. That a politician with no known business can be richer than a 15billion dollar man. How much is Nigeria's entire budget? Please one more question
What do you have to say about Denmark, because I have a school willing to give scholarship there, what's opinion about their immigration policy, post study visa extension, current opportunity for part time work and settling down there as a foreigner. One thing I am sure of is that immigration policies in Denmark are very tough and getting tough day by day to ward off immigrants - for it is a very small and densely populated country. I can bet on Sweden. It is a liberal, compassionate well developed country. Scholarships also abound if you can prove your mettle. All University has scholarship programs for non-EU students; and the Swedish Institute (SI) also has very comprehensive scholarship program. In Sweden you can work as long as your strength permits as a student. No hours limit. Sweden has world class and innovative companies in all sectors of the economy. Converting your study permit to work permit is relatively easy in Sweden . Trust what I say buddy. Lycka till |
