Bad things will always happen. No one can escape that. This is why normal people in normal countries have insurance. Praying that your kid won't fall ill, your car won't break down, your house won't go up in flames is a waste of time.

At all. A friend was telling me about this incident back in his uni days. There was this notorious course where to fail it was a norm.
One semester they had a visitng professsor from the US who decided to take the course. My friend said from day 1 they felt a difference. Everyone passed
The school authority(ABU) with held the results citing foul play. The ignoramuses even went as far as questioning the man's qualifications
Eventually they were forced to drop that investigation because it was going to give them a bad rep
