May the will of God be done in Nigeria this year 2021!
That prayer alone indicates nothing will change and it is only going to get worse. It is not a prediction. It is a fact. Remember in 2022 that I predicted it. When a people wait for an imaginary god to help them do what a brain, 2 hands and 2 legs can accomplish, you are only asking for stagnation and degradation. It's been more than half a century and Nigerians have been praying. Isn't it time to recognize that it has all been in fallacy? Stand up, roll your sleeves and start thinking and doing what other successful countries and citizens have done to succeed. No god or deity can help you.

Guys I'm thinking of moving out of naija. Which country is more balanced in terms of opportunities and racism between UK and USA?
Enlighten me please.
If that is the criteria for where you want to live you are already failing. Guy, the secret to acclamatizing in the west is, simple. Shut you mouth, do your job and be an expert at it, obey the law, and for heavens sake avoid black people. Especially Nigerians. I promise, follow these guidelines and you'll never have any issue. Ignore them and your journey will be filled with bumps. There are racist people everywhere. You just have to know how to navigate around them.

Why would I name a child an insult? What would be the point of that? Names are an identifier that has mostly sentimental value. Mumu has no sentimental value to me. People change their name all the time and it doesn't change who they are so why think a name has an effect?
You said what you name a child does not affect anything.

Common sense decides what careless behavior is. When you spew rhetoric to galvanize an insurrection, common sense should determine your words were careless.

This is terribly wrong jack, everyone have the right and liberty to say whatever they want to say, you can't suspend someone for speaking his mind, that ain't right.
Not at the expense of public safety. World War 2 started because a mad man used words to demonize a small group and also spur his people to war. So no. You can't just say whatever you want. There are consequences to words and actions. If you think I'm joking, go to your place of work and start saying whether you want and see what happens.

You are simply saying therefore that successful marriage and staying with husband is slavery for women.
False!
I still don't agree.

You may be mistaking irresponsibility and looseness for freedom. They are different things.

By the way, do u want us to list the things women get away with that a man can't get away with? There are so many.
I am waiting for the list
FamilyRe: Why Aren't Today's Marriages Lasting Like Those Of Our Parents And Forefathers? by banmee(m): 1:51pm On Jan 13, 2021
Blitzerz:
What do u mean by lack of choice?

We are talking about marriage working or not.
I can as well show u men that have wives chosen for them without the man's choice and the marriages are working.

Secondly, do u know how many men are victims of paternity fraud?

Successful marriages is not a gender thing. Its both ways.
You and i know it's a man's world mostly in Africa? Men pretty much can do anything they want but not so for women. That in itself should give you pause. The reason why marriages don't last that long anymore is because women are getting the same access to freedom men enjoy and they are fighting back. Most african men do not see marriage as a partnership. Obviously, two people cannot lead a marriage at the same time, but the understanding that the partnership is founded on respect, love, empathy, discipline, etc is not well understood by most african men. And just so you know, no one likes to be in a relationship where there are few choices. I digress. Look at Nigeria. The reason why the country is so phucked economically and otherwise is because it's citizens have very few choices. They have no choice but to live the way they do to the point where a lot of Nigerians still say s.tupid shit like "Nigeria, the giant of africa", or "we are great". Even though the evidence is contrary to that opinion. Compare that to say Germany, Sweden, the U.S, etc. Choices are abound in places like that but not so in places like Nigeria. Women in africa had and still have limited wiggle room so they have no choice but to stay with their husbands.

U didn't answer the questions

Does freedom for women translate to more bad marriages?

You are listening many things which are mainly evil things. I can as well least the good thing people also enjoyed those days for you. So I don't get your point.

There are things that men equally suffered and they r things that men still suffer till today in marriages. It's not a gender thing.
The point is, even till today, women in Africa mostly stay with their husbands because of lack of choice and not because of love. And what horrors have men been suffering in the hands of women?
FamilyRe: Why Aren't Today's Marriages Lasting Like Those Of Our Parents And Forefathers? by banmee(m): 11:51am On Jan 13, 2021
Blitzerz:
What are u trying to say?
That freedom for woman equates more bad marriages or what?

Or that the olden days women who raised better children were working from slavery marriages?

I disagree
No human being likes to be second class. Tell.me if you would like it if your wife died and her family shows up at your house to collect all her belongings forcefully which may include a house and a car. Worse, her family forces you to marry her sister and you are helpless to say say no. And that is just one example of the things women back in the day went through with impunity. The only reason anyone would go through that without complaining is if their hands were tied. Would you stick around if anything remotely close to that happened to you?
FamilyRe: Why Aren't Today's Marriages Lasting Like Those Of Our Parents And Forefathers? by banmee(m): 3:34am On Jan 13, 2021
You have to consider that marriages back in the day were basically slavery for the woman. They had no choice. In Africa, women mostly do not have a choice. Especially the uneducated ones.

Is electrical system supposed to be switched on, on Sunday ?
It does not have to be switched on for you to have an electrical malfunction. It could have been dormant. I know Nigerians love conspiracy theories but the fire could have been caused by a number of things. Plus, in this day and age, who burns down an office because they are trying to destroy files. A GOVERNMENT OFFICE for that matter. Ever heard of cloud files? Then again, we are talking about Nigeria. They still live in the stone age.
