Nigerialabalaba:But they freed Abba Moro. He had more influence in the recruitment saga, than the perm sec |
This is going to be lonnngggg! ![]() I never wanted to put this up. Infact I decided to just live with it till God knows when! I guess I just summoned courage to damn all consequences and spill it.....after all, it's a faceless forum! With this story below, I have no doubt that someone is doing something to me diabolically, to stop me from progressing or moving from point A to B. Since I lost my job some years back, finding another one has been very difficult. I usually get opportunities, but I don't understand how it slips away. I also have this near success syndrome. (1) I did test with International breweries(AbInBev). I performed well at the interview. I was called for medicals, but then the initial location of position advertised was in Lagos. The HR said I would be transferred to Ogun without accommodation. I told him I live with an aged mom and I'm the only one taking care of her and that if it'll be possible to be in Lagos, I would appreciate. If not, then I would still go to Ogun State. He said he would get in touch with me soon. I never heard from him again. I called but he never picked. I went to their office but I was sent out. I regretted my actions though. I would have just accepted. It was later it dawned on me that I messed up.....as if I was being controlled before. (2) I was called from abroad(UK) by a company who got my contact from my LinkedIn profile. After the video interview with about 2 whites and a Nigerian (based there) They were impressed and agreed to employ me as their country manager in Nigeria. They sent me to an HR office for documentation and finger print and all. They also sent messages to my former employer, of which I had been there to see the HR. He assured me nothing bad would happen. We had agreed on salary, working hours and days and even the office which is at Lekki. Days passed, I never heard anything from them. From days to weeks to months. That was how I lost this one. (3) The MD(Indian) of Henkel(makers of WAW detergent) is one of my connections on LinkedIn. I usually send him Goodwill messages and other prayers. So one day I told him about giving me an opportunity at Henkel. After some months, he eventually sent me an email(HR) to send my CV. I did and after some days I was called for an interview. The sales manager(Indian) was really not convinced with my person. He told me to forget about the MD, that he will be my boss. Told him I had no issues with that. I guess he was intimidated by my person. He told me I would be paid 40k and I said it's fine but I would have to get back to him. Then I chatted with the MD that I'm really grateful for the opportunity but the pay is way below what I earned before......with all my qualifications and experiences! He later said he would speak to the HR and the sales manager on my behalf, but till date I've heard nothing. He has even stopped chatting with me. (4) I was interviewed by this trans app company (GONA) owned by Chinese. I was actually the highest at the interview, so I was picked. 200k gross salary. I was told to go for a 2 days work test at Ajah. I worked with some of their staff, to test the job. They register Ajah and Lekki buses on their platform. They also talk to passengers, to use their app. They were impressed by my results for the 2 days. The HR told me to come the next day for my appointment letter and start the same day. I told her I need a day or 2 off, to prepare myself......clothes and other stuffs. She agreed, but when I went there after 2 days, she said the MD hasn't signed and I should go. That she would call me when it's ready. She never called me again. (5) I have shared this one before. I applied to Eleganza sister company (cosmetics company) as a procurement manager. I passed all the series of interview. Finally I met with chief Razak okoya. He told me that I'm Igbo and I don't have the passport(meaning I don't have any Yoruba link/lineage) I was never called again. (6) A friend who is a manager at Coca-Cola, told me that his friend who is in the supply chain department of Coca-Cola wants to refer someone to HR cos they need someone to assist them. He sent my CV to him and begged him to help me out, that I really need the job. My friend said he assured him that he would see to it. It's been almost a month now. Nothing yet! (7) My former colleague and friend, worked with a construction company/developers, as a procurement manager, at Lekki before resigning for a much better one. The former company told him to refer another capable hand to them. He called me to send my CV, of which I did. I was called in for interview by the MD. He was okay with my answers but then he said the project manager has the final say. I noticed another guy that came before me. I was later called for an interview with the PM and the HR. This other applicant was treated differently with much prestige. I came before him but he was interviewed before me. After my interview, they asked if I had any question for them. I said it's not a question but an observation/advice. I told them that I came before the other guy, but he was interviewed before me and that it's suspicious....and shows they had more interest in the guy. They didn't give me any good reason except for apologies and that they didn't know. How won't you know? I got there around 9am and the interview time was 10am. The guy came around 10:30am. It was immediately after he entered they started preparing for the interview. I later told my friend/colleague and he said I should forget about them. 8. This same friend/colleague ∆ called me recently and told me that his current company where he works as a procurement manager, wants him to get an assistant because the job is too much and tedious for him. He asked if I would be interested I said yes. Then he printed out my CV and minuted on it, with very good statement about my person and experience and then the salary. It's a massive project by the US and lasg. He later forwarded my CV to the HR as instructed by his white boss. The HR collected but didn't act on it and said he would wait till the white boss comes back from his sojourn. My friend later called me and told me to be very prayerful. That he doesn't understand what's happening. He said the boss actually instructed the HR before tranvelling....that he should accept the CV and call me. When the white boss came back, the HR gave the CV to him. He went through it and dropped it on his table. He told my friend he would see to it later. My friend said he has never said anything again since then. He said I should really check myself and be very prayerful. That something isn't right somewhere! Now, tell me if this is not spiritual! Don't bother to send me church or spiritual addresses. I won't go. I'm a staunch Catholic. I'll continue to pray my rosary and receive holy communion. If God says this is how it will be forever, so be it. Meanwhile, I drive on bolt. So I'm not begging! Thank you for reading. NB: Before the last job I lost, I had worked with 3 different companies in the procurement department. |
Viking07:I don't know about Abj but it took me about a month for renewal, but then I used a temporal one which was laminated at their office in Unilag. I used it till I got the original card |
Topmaike007:So much did you pay to view all the channels above for 2 months? Excluding the decoder and dish fee |
It's not bad. Howmuch is the monthly subscription? Is this the only bouquet they have? |
DanielsParker: ![]() E get one bolt agent wey go come tell you say the fares are very okay even if litre be 250. Meanwhile bolt just added ₦72 increment on fares! |
I don't collect |
Replace it, if you have money, but you can still use it though if you don't have money to change it. My front right shaft makes the same noise when I turn. Mechanic says I can still use for 2 years, but I'll replace soon. I like to be on a safer side! |

stephenponti:Thanks Stephen. Happy New Month |
Pls guys, is apongbon bridge opened now?.....for someone coming from civic centre to mainland |
They will all be slumping one by one, till they lose their lives. The heartache Ngozi olejeme and other NSITF top officials caused applicants in the 2011/12 recruitment, will never be forgotten. They collected money for registration, at the end they still shortchanged a lot of successful applicants, and replaced them with people who never passed through any stage of the recruitment. They will all die miserable deaths, and their souls will never rest in peace! |
porthouse7:Until recently you got married or you started being lonely and regretting not getting married? You can be married and still be lonely. Everything in life depends on you. How you want it to play out. What about those that got married and got divorced? What about those their husbands killed or their wives killed? What about the ones without kids? Marriage doesn't make you stop being lonely. It doesn't make you overly happy. And like you said; it's a choice. People have reasons for making the choices they make. I'm just letting you know that if loneliness was ur reason for marriage, then it's def. not a reason for me. You should state your reasons! I'd like to know |
porthouse7:Na lie. I am of that age. I am not married and I'm not lonely. |
ObelawoOT:All these requirements for wuber work?! Even writing skills?! 40k is much sir! |
lexy2lexy:You want only card trips? |
Bolt dey charge 25% now o. Thought someone said 20%. Maybe I'm wrong! I had a positive balance of 2030. Did a card trip of 800.....25% of bolt charge will make 600 balance. Then another card trip of 1500......25% of bolt charge will make 1125 balance. That's 1725 + 2030 = 3,755. Even if I remove govt's ₦20, I will have 3,715. 5% difference on each trip is 115.

What an experience Feli. Sorry bro. Mine was even worse! Last week I passed that opebi roundabout(turning right goes to toyin, making u turn goes back to Allen) I wanted to go back to Allen. Immediately I made the u-turn, these police officers stopped me and said I made a wrong turn. They pulled me over and said I should bring my driver's licence, I said I don't have it here. They said I should bring my car keys, I said I can't cos it's mine and not their's. Their Oga said he'll show me. I was there for almost 30 mins waiting. Immediately I saw they gocked, Omo, I enter car zoom off. The Oga tried to chase me with a bike, but I don japa! Meanwhile the lady I picked, told me to end the trip when they stopped me. Amount came to ₦600, she refused to pay; saying it's too high, that I picked her from Allen junction. because I was busy with the police, I told her to go if she doesn't want to pay, and the thief left! Fine babe o! ₦600 she no get, but they will come on Twitter and be castigating bolt drivers. On Tuesday I passed isolo(going to mushin), immediately I got down from the bridge, after the police checkpoint, one request came in, I just moved by the side to check, I didn't even stay up to 30 secs, those CDA guys came and told me to wind down. I did. The one by the passenger's side just dipped hand inside and opened the car and then entered. He said I parked at a wrong place, and that I should follow them to their office, I said I can't. I started my car and put it in drive to move, this guy put it back to park. I was like; are you dragging my car with me? Before I could say jack, this guy put off the car and tried to remove the key. We started dragging the key. I overpowered him and collected my keys from him. Then they brought a towing van to tow my car. Then another 2 entered the back. Omo, I was confused, I started shouting, ole ole, ara'adugbo egbami o(thief thief, people come and save me o) Omo see mothers and men just came around and started begging them to leave me. Their Oga said I called them thief. The people said I should apologize to them. Meanwhile, the other CDA guys had already front-chained my car to the towing van. I now came out and begged them as the women advised. One mama almost knelt down begging them. They said I should drop something. I said I don't have anything to drop. Their Oga said I'm very stubborn. Long story short, they eventually told me to go. The wahala wey dey this job, no easy at all. Especially for Lagos. God go help us |
Viking07:Just imagine this false alarm! Meanwhile a lot of private cars operate thier phones while driving, but na bolt drivers own dem wan take catch cruise! Even though it's not safe, she should have told him when she was on the trip, not recording and posting on social media! Na so I pick one lady today from island to ikosi. Immediately she entered, she asked me how to share her ride, I said I don't know. She said ok, she has seen it and she has shared it. I didn't even answer her. She was looking at me, and all around the car. |
They are still looking for her since yesterday. These occurrences dey spoil biz for bolt small small

Pearl1910:I really don't like getting involved in arguments, but Mr Pearl, I deduct feeding from the money, cos I feed from the money. I take breaks to eat and I take from the money. I deduct feeding, fuel, card(calls) bolt/govt charges, and all other expenses incurred while doing the job. The remaining is my profit. I'm not also disputing the fact that you can make 10k daily after all deductions. But it's not everyday. Some days are bad days.....like getting apprehended by police or lastma, and other car issues! In all baba, the hustle no really pay well for now. No arguments! My opinion! |
dapotemi:I picked a lady from itire(Surulere) to VI on bolt and it came to 2200, with all the traffic at apogbon bridge and CMS. Meanwhile, when I picked her, I was already on a delivery trip on Indriver from the same itire to Lekki phase 1 (₦3500) That your trip would have been the same or almost on bolt without surge |
shammahyaro:30k? That's much! |
Jestin:It is not majorly procreation, it is for companionship. The kids will grow and leave them, they both still live together alone. Some don't even have kids, but they live and grow old together. |
Iyaebe:For real men, it's not really about cheating, cos even some married women still living with their husbands cheat, and in some cases, the husbands know and usually forgive. The reason is majorly the demands.(from school fees, to projects, to clothes, to food, to hair, to books, to phones, etc) you pay for virtually everything! We prefer working class or business women. You both gain from eachother financially and otherwise. |
1 Thessalonians 4:11 |
Congratulations Mr Baz. More power to your elbow. You will succeed in the country you are, in the mighty name of Jesus Christ...... Amen. |
Finally bought full tank. (Sigh) Na house get me so......till 2moro |
It's like I'll just go home and park. They've stopped selling because of quarrel. Queue has not been moving for over an hour |
