Back in 2013, Government told ASUU that the 3 trillion naira per annum promised in 2009 as extra funding for Nigerian universites was no longer possible...and asked ASUU to take 200bn every year for 5 years.

As a result, fees increase was inevitable.

Here is the thing. Nigerian universites are lacking facilities, our graduates are not competitive, and the government is even building more universites.

So, either government finds N3 trillion or more (our budget next year is N8trillion)....or we have to pay higher fees.

Better face reality.

As for the east west road. Read what you posted again. I travelled for a burial in 2014 from delta state to akwa-ibom and a large part of that road had been completed by then.

It is pathetic that some people see this single act as a yardstick to support this incumbent administration against the killing of innocent Nigerians in almost every part of this Country.. Not to talk about the abduction of the Chikbok girls. Wouldn't that have been better saving the lives of these innocent girls than "paying off backlogs just to attract people to himself"?

Yea I got your point. But you should understand that these persons feel marginalized and neglected. Certain things are not sited in their domain because certain region or state will loose. The government of the day ought to apply wisdom and diplomacy when handling issues. This is what this government lacked compare to the previous government. I want a better Nigeria same with the freedom fighters from those regions. If you ask them whether they want to exit out of Nigeria, many would say no.

Mulikat Adeola was voted for by only PDP members but yorubas who were mainly APC member lawmakers, combined with the north who voted for their own tambuwal to vote against Hon Mulikat, effectively scheming themselves out.

We are in internet era, you will not be allowed to revise historical records that happened right before our very eyes. I can dig up threads here on NL showing yoruba APC e-rats like Aresa, Dayokanu, ileke-idi, desola, midolian etc. rejoicing about the failure of Mulikat/PDP in clinching HOR speakership and congratulating tinubu and tambuwal.

PDP zoned Speakership to yoruba, yoruba took orders from tinubu to scuttle it and give it to tambuwal because tinubu didn't want any yoruba politician to become as powerful as he is. He wanted to monopolize his powers and yorubas displeased themselves to please tinubu.

The SE must be compensated for their staunch support. Atiku is political businessman. In business it's better you consolidate your investment in your 2 high yeilding sources than throwing it away to one unreliable source (SW) where you are not wanted.

Forget sentiments, PDP cannot rely on SW from current realities on ground. The SW we know will not vote him. They just want to damage his chances by forcing him to insult the Eastern bloc by choosing a SW VP, while APC enjoys an easy ride to victory. Atiku will not be that stupid.

Before you comment, use your brain. Or at least, seek knowledge. Gbenga's father is Abdullahi Hashim. He his from Kebbi State. Since 2015, he has added the name of his father to his name. Olawepo is the name of his step dad, whom he lived with. He loved his father and his step dad and both of them are held in high esteem.
