AlhajiBitcoin: Between the yahoo boy and the mechanic, who was the scammer ?
Is a person who collected N200k for battery terminal not the bigger scammer ?
Mechanic has scammed me severally before. A job that will cost N1,500, mechanic will collect me N15,500 because I'm on a trip. A job of N5,000, they will collect N45,000 and still sleep over at your house forming busy. Meanwhile there is nothing wrong with the car
When I said they won't scam me again, meaning I want to pay N5k for a N5k serving job ?
Guess what, they frustrated me till I sold the car as scrap.
So the Yahoo boy who spent N200k and kept his car is wise.
If you have never owned up to 2 cars, don't just argue along that line. When your car goes bad, you are left clueless. The man didn't even demand for 200k, the boy simply called him, gave him the money, asked him to fix the car and left. that is just an example of reckless spending that has driven people's tastes up and subsequently results in inflation |

Enosa1: I can confirm this as I've lived in Warri for quite some time now. In fact, when I was about renting my apartment the agent got angry that I "price" too much, he told me point blink that he preferred giving apartment to "yahoo boys" because they don't negotiate price.
Everything is so expensive that you can barely survive if you are not a "yahoo boy". Girls tell you point blink that they can't date someone not a yahoo boy. It's that accepted here. I had similar experience, I was told agent fee is not 10% in Warri here, they look at you and bill you then you start bargaining. There would have been like 4 agents waiting to take their cut. I don't say hi to my agent who happens to live close to my place anymore. I feel he has gotten all he can from me and he will get nothing else. |

Anyone who lives in Warri will know this is so true. As a matter of fact, I have given up buying anything that can wait in this town. Everything you are buying in this town is at a Yahoo boy price, I was in a keke some weeks ago and a fellow passenger who was a mechanic was narrating how a yahoo boy gave him 200k just because his car stopped working. The man said it was just the battery terminal that got disconnected but he didn't let the boy know.
You can hardly get a non yahoo boy kinda jean wear in this town, rent is shooting up to Lagos standards, it is just a terrible state. |

xeju: the point isn't just about pump price blah blah blah but the deceitful govt made Nigerians to believe there was nothing like subsidy and it's fraud. that's the bottom line. seeing some of you trying to be economist to a deceitful govt is baffling. You are the one deceiving yourself. Every time they want to review pump price and NLC threaten strike, people shout and they return it. Simple logic is that they have subsidized the price to be affordable to Nigerians. |

One4me: I think you need to reflect on what you are saying because it is shallow.
Tell us what happened around June - November 2020 when no one was buying Crude and the price fell to below $20/Barrel, did Nigerians buy PMS at a reduced price of #10/Ltr, to reflect the extremely low price of Crude? Why must the price review alwats be upwards, at times at about 60%? You people just advance arguements that dont stand up to scrutiny or logic Were you out of the country when PMS price was reduced to #125 last year?? |

One4me: The SCAMS of this Buhari Government are Endless? If we had a living President, l dont think he would just keep quiet and let these Cabals eat Nigerians alive, even if such President is from Niger Republic! For how long shall we suffer and lament
During Covid pandemic when the Price of Crude went negative, Nigerians did not get any benefit or slash in price of PMS, it is now they would remind us that the price has climbed. How many times will they remove this Subsidy? From #3.40 per Ltr under OBJ, they have been using subsidy removal as excuse, to increase the price till we ended at #165/Ltr Crooks You mean you did not buy PMS at #125 last year during the covid? And that was a record breaking low oil price, how much do you think PMS would cost when oil prices rebound? |
Politics › Re: Outrage As FG Admits Paying Fuel Subsidy After Removal by Baselm: 11:47pm On Mar 26, 2021 |
xeju: na you be dumb, when the govt said there was no subsidy. infact you stupid well well If landing price is #162 and I tell you pump price is #162 of course there is no subsidy, it doesn't mean that when landing cost becomes #200 and are still paying #162 there is still no subsidy as a matter of fact If the landing cost becomes #148 and you are paying #162 then I am cheating you. Bottom line is, pump prices should be reviewed every other day if we want true removal of subsidy, but are Nigerians ready for that?? |

Racoon: https://opinion.premiumtimesng.com/2020/09/10/from-apcs-promise-of-change-to-buharis-change-of-promise-by-majeed-dahiru/ The same government informed this nation about 3 months ago that subsidy has been removed hence fuel is to sell @ #165.Of course it was another lie and scam. The same subsidy they vehemently denounced as a fraud from the beginning thereby gaslighting the gullible masses?
DPR cant tell how many barrels of crude oil Nigeria produce or sold daily. Now @ what exchange rate do we sell crude oil and buy fuel? What about the by-products. All these are happening under Mr president & minister of petroleum-Buhari who overhyped himself Mr integrity.
A single lie destroys a whole reputation built over the years. This government have really taken Nigerians for granted. He who lives by lies and propaganda will also die by lies and propaganda. Is the crude oil prices still same as 3 months ago? When PPPRA posted #212 as landing cost on their website, you don't know someone has to be paying the extra money above the #165. International oil prices fluctuate daily, so whatever makes pump price remain the same over a 2 month period, then someone is either cheating you or subsidizing you |

festacman: One thing is certain: Late Pa Obafemi Awolowo was sagacious, a bit puritanical, cerebral, resource-shrewd, strategic and forward-thinking. He wore signature circular eyeglasses that he made him stood out.
However, his ingenuity when it comes outwitting his fiercest political enemies can be best described as dark-hearted usually intended to leave them half-dead. Well, not anything much different from what happens in today's politics.
Of course, he never at any point in his life claimed to be an angel other than a human being he was.
May his soul continue to rest in peace. You mean the political enemies who strategized the burning down of his region, the ones who imprisoned him, rigged elections, betrayed gentleman agreements etc. Of course SE politicians are known to always blame everybody but themselves. 2023 is coming and they haven't strategically positioned themselves in both leading political parties, still playing politics of bitterness and self entitlement and abusing everyone online. Awolowo is the least of your worries, he died over 3 decades ago |
Politics › Re: PH Refinery: We’re Doing Rehabilitation, Not Turnaround Maintenance – NNPC by Baselm: 8:52am On Mar 23, 2021 |
Troublemaker007: I notice a lot people saying they should sell it. I have never heard of Ghana selling her National assets not to mention a refinery to private investors like Nigeria government has done in the last 2 decades, Obasanjo first did it and till date we didn’t see one Naira from the money of the sold assets. A Refinery is no different from that of a car. It comprises of parts and so buying the right parts to replace the already damage ones is the right to thing do. If you change the parts of a damage car, you automatically turns that car into a new one! If the Refinery is beyond repair or the cost of repair is almost 50% of establishing a new one, why not take the refinery down! Sell the parts, add to the revenue gotten from the sales of the scrap parts and build a new one in the same place the old one was. The framework and structure of building a new one is already there so it will be easy to build a new one. These people know what they are doing! That refinery’s fault might not be as big as Nigerians think but will tag it big and beyond repair just because they want to sell it off! to some elites up North (Dangote and Co especially) if not those that have embezzled billions of Dollars and will still loot the money back to their pocket once the refinery is sold to them (That’s like taking it for free! Of course they will give out some few millions of dollars to their slave followers here in the south who does nothing other than selling their people’s birthright like they have been doing for so many year now). These people know Nigeria’s breakup is eminent and soon, so they need to have a strong hold in the South and West at all cost. You think say Dangote building a refinery in Lagos na mistake! It will take years for the West to Understand the mistake they have made, allowing Dangote to build and Own a refinery in the Heart of West. When Nigeria have finally disintegrated everybody eyes go clear! Especially South South!
If you quote me and insult me! I will report you! Building a refinery up North is neither close to the raw material nor close to the market. The main market is in the south and even if exported the ports are in the south. The crude oil is also in the south, so Dangote, BUA, would normally want to build a refinery in the south. That being said, I tend to agree on your submission that the refineries should be rehabilitated and not sold as scrap. A lot of Nigerians just follow what their influencers say on Twitter without any critical analysis. |

sam564: soooooo between rehabilitation and turn around maintenance wich is more expensive? why una want use english confuse us nah Rehabilitation is more expensive, it is just like renovating a house, you break down some parts and rebuild and at the end of the day, you have almost a brand new house. Or changing the engine of your car and doing a physical upgrade to the car TAM on the other hand is just like fixing leaking pipes, replacing burnt bulbs etc or servicing your car or generator. |

You stand to make more money in the real estate industry, but you learn more in the construction company and the experience would be invaluable. As a civil engineer, I find building very boring, because there are lots of more technical and interesting structures to construct than just building houses where you will be in competition with bricklayers, architects, surveyors, quantifiers etc who all claim to be engineers on building sites. |

Of course, fury was happy and eager to fight Wilder we see how both fights be with wilder.to be frank fury go outclass Joshua. They are no mates You don't know boxing, add the CVs of fury and wilder, e no reach A.J CV. this Fury has only fought 2 top guys Klitschko and Wilder, while Wilder has been fighting bums in one round before he decided to face Fury, thinking it would be easy to beat a man who has been out for long. A.J has just 26 fights and more belts than any of them because he has been fighting the best around. AJ only fights champions, former champions and mandatory challengers. Of the present top 10 heavyweights, he has fought Whyte, Ruiz, Parker,Pulev, Povetkin. A.J avoids nobody, everytime he fights he is fighting a top guy. Wilder has come out to say A.J was offering him more money when he decided to fight Fury when fury refused to give him a trilogy, so who was running from who?? |

PDJT: -OP, do you realise it was Obama/Biden that removed Nigeria from the popular DV-lottery?
-It was also them that shattered Libya and left Africa with so many terror groups.
-Same Obama/Biden that wouldn’t sale weapon to Nigeria to combat Boko Haram or even designate them a terror group until that major kidnapping happened.
-Obama policies in Africa? Like aggressive support for LGBTQ Loby groups.
-Obama was a disaster for Africa. Even in his father’s home-country (Kenya) that he hardly visits. If you read his novel “Dreams from my father”, you will probably know why, coupled with the fact that his wife don’t feel at home in Kenya.
-Democrats establishment that takes Black-Americans & their votes for granted will raise a finger to help Africa? Leave matter abeg. Why cry more than the bereaved? Alright, Trump is the smartest man on earth and nothing that ever goes wrong is his fault, but Americans are voting Biden. It is a vote for the POTUS not the smartest man on earth like you keep telling yourself. |
