Politics › Re: IMF Proposes Higher Taxes As Solution To Nigeria’s Fiscal Challenge by Basicend: 2:23pm On Oct 14, 2023
jacobs2015:
It's obvious the major sinister motive of all these western agencies is to impoverish, dehumaize and render Africans redundant, hopeless and helpless.

America's World Bank advised our govt to remove subsidy and like a magic, the economy would bounce back, knowing fully well that lack of funds was never due to subsidy payment, but just to make life harder for us.

Now the twin sister of World Bank is telling the FG again to increase taxation as if the consequence of subsidy removal was not enough, now encouraging the govt again to implement another hardship advice.

No international agency has the genuine progress of Africa at heart. All is smokescreen with stupid analysis to bamboozle us.
They were the ones that advised him to devalue the naira. . Now they are asking him to increase taxes. .

But do you blame them? Your leaders keep going to them for loans that they actually do.not need or will misappropriate. .

IMF does not care about citizens of any country, they need to recover their money. .

blaze83:
The Iron Dome was overwhelmed. Apparently, the HAMAS discovered that firing thousands of missiles within a short space of time would overpower the Iron Dome, so there fired over 5,000 missiles within 20 minutes which overwhelmed the Iron Dome.

Previously, the Iron Dome had withstood even more than 5,000 missiles, but the difference was the over 5,000 missiles were fired over weeks, not a matter of minutes like it was on Saturday.

Still on still, the Iron Dome did a good job, imagine what 5,000 missiles could have done to a country as small as Israel if not for the Iron Dome that intercepted most of it.

Politics › Re: Chicago University: Remove Tinubu Or Apologize To Mmesoma – Aisha Yesufu by Basicend: 9:53am On Oct 09, 2023
Guyman01:
Mmesoma attended and sat for JAMB just like Tinubu attended Chicago State University.

She had a result from JAMB which she could no longer find in the system just like Tinubu claims to have misplaced his certificate.

Instead of writing to JAMB for a replacement she went to a third party vendor who printed another JAMB result for her and she presented same for admission into a Nigerian University, she even awarded the best student to herself, just like Tinubu awarding First Class Degree to himself through a Third Party and presented same to INEC.

JAMB punished Mmesoma by suspending her for 3 years but Tinubu was rewarded with presidency of Nigeria.

I think there's a travesty of justice here because the same people that spent weeks making scapegoat out of the little girl are now using the same alibi she presented which they vigorously discountenanced to defend Tinubu based on primordial sentiments.

JAMB should apologise to Mmesoma if Tinubu Third Party certificate is acknowledged. Meanwhile, the Third Party vendor never contacted CSU for authorisation to issue replacement as required just like Mmesoma never contacted JAMB.

The Tinubu puppet below me is claiming he is not a Tinubu fan and calling Mmesomaa "criminal", the issue is that the certificate submitted to INEC is not from CSU but from an uncertified Third Party and the certificate paraded by Mmesoma is also not from JAMB, she attended JAMB and Tinubu attended CSU but both of them are parading uncertified Third Party certificates.

Addendum: For Tinubu supporters quoting and insulting me for this comment, e be like say this one really enter, I knack am below the belt combined with left jab and upper cut grin grin
Guy,

Na rubbish you and that Hausa woman dey vibe.

That young lady deserves what she got from JAMB. . A girl of that age for Christ sake. . Being groomed into full blown criminality. I would have given her up to 5 years banning at least.

Who made the forex to jump to that rate? Is it not the same mumu president?
He should be held responsible for both the forex and the fuel hike or subsidy addition.
Throughout buharis clueless and directionless regime forex never got to 800 even in the black market. Now there's still black market despite Tinubus mumu forex unification and it's selling at 1500 yet zombies like you don't think it's tinubus fault but innocent citizens complaining.
Guy,

What you don't know is that resolutions are caliberated from a repairable point.

There are many economic kids here on NL and I don't have power to write much now.

I huzzled for my money, maybe just like you, am not a politician and don't access to their stolen flows.

Tinubu had made d gross error when he came in, and I know that he is not yet disciplined enough to address the leakages at the top which is the major issue.

If the new govt continued to subsidize FX and PMS (when they came in, the way Buhari was doing it), they will crash. So, he had to change approach in someway.
Which means he has to remove the cushion from one of the 2 core revenue segments, but not both, at the same time.

His eyes is clear now, and he is trying to rectify his errors.

Obi would have removed cushions from both segments too. . He said it last week. I don't even want to mention Atiku.

The only way now for govt to soften to stress on masses is by marginally adjusting things as he is doing now. (Realistically, they also cannot survive a drastic or gross reversal) As a gesture, he even declared some little increament to govt workforce.

This is a heavy backlog of Buhari's terrible incompetence.

Research more.

When even countries like China are now creating aircrafts to go to the Moon and planning for mars. .

When most developed nations are already producing systems and cars that are eco-friendly. . No need for fuel. .

Cornfuse government
Guy, what on earth do you want the govt to do. . ?

Are you a mad man?

Do you have someone in senate or the executives that is transferring stolen funds to you?

If he did not subsidize, that means PMS right now will be at N860 in Lagos by NNPC at best end price. . and if he had not been pegging the dollar at N1,000 range since the past 2 months, most importers including the Oil Marketers will have been getting a dollar at around N1,600 by now. .

Check my previous posts and you will know am not a Tinubu or APC advocate, but look, as humans, we must adjust and re-adjust just to get things right.

Why do people even talk like this. . Can you pay N1,600 per Litre now? Which is the reality of the status of NGN). Is so annoying. .
Politics › Re: PENGASSAN Confirms Return Of Fuel Subsidy Under Tinubu by Basicend:
We are shouting that Tinubu wants to kill every body and country is too hard. . The only thing (option) that he has right now is to start paying subsidies again. .

And if he is wise, he should galvanize and encourage local production of goods and services. .

I am not a Tinubu supporter but an unbiased analyst. The govt does not have any option right now than to pay subsidies on PMS imports and FX trading. . Otherwise, so many Nigerians will start dyeing everyday from just hunger alone. So many. .

If he failed in his responsibility to create an alternative infrastructure to develop to macro and micro economic sectors. . if he also failed to find ways to quick alternative revenue for the govt. .

He will perform just same way as Buhari did. . I mean just same.

And when it deteriorates further and the government finally decides to intervene and flush out these bad people, they start playing the pity card and making it appear as though the govt is taking away their source of livelihood without providing an alternative. Some people only think of what you
earn abroad in direct comparison to what
you earn in Nigeria.

They don't understand that the cost of
an average accommodation in an average
American city may approach the equivalent
of N1.5 per month. By the time you factor
in your home electricity and gas bills, it
may add another N300k equivalent. You
never talk about food and transportation
cost yet❗️❗️❗️

It's easier if you have somebody who
is ready to accommodate you for a reasonable
period, before you settle down, but your
presence will also increase his own bills.

Nothing is free in obodo oyibo.
That what majority of those dudes don't know. . It's funny. . Look, in Canada now, rent alone is $1,200 per month. . Yes, I mean per month.
