What happens to American using its weight to encourage negotiations, Zimbabwe who has a 'tyrant' as a leader almost got bombed by NATO like Ivory Coast if not for Russia veto at the UN over an election dispute, but today despite all the western sanctions their economy has picked up and Morgan Tsvangirai has been exposed by Wikileaks as a CIA asset.
It is the ordinary Ugandans who will suffer from the American bombs and have their environment destroyed when these guys start full oil drilling to help their ailing economies.
Obama doesnt listen to Americans he thinks he can continue to use the main stream media to manipulate events and get the world on his wrong side.

My thought on the whole issue is that America is in a no win situation here. If they act people will blame them for acting (e.g. Libya, Afghanistan, Iraq etc and in this case), if they dont people will blame them (e.g. Syria, Egypt, Rwanda etc). It really is an unenviable position to be.
I shudder anytime i wonder what would've happen to those Libyan if NATO hadn't intervened when they did. Meanwhile AU folded it's hands doing nothing just like it did in CIV, Rwanda, Somalia, Liberia etc
Well i know America never lifts it's fingers to help anyone if there's nothing to be gained from it. And i dont blame them for it. China and Russia does the same too. Time will tell what they will gain from this. With election coming so soon,i hope Obama is not kissing his chances bye if American soldiers start dying in Africa

@Kobojunkie. They said it aint safe to argue with you. Alright but let me quickly say this. I can understand your issue concerning the fact that govt is supposed to spread the wealth as opposed to private individuals. Of course we all know that. But how do wake up the govt to it's responsibility? Votes? They will end up stealing it. Protests? They will end up violently dispersing it with riot policemen who has no qualms in using live bullets on defenceless citizens. This is not the US you know.
I remember after the Sosoliso crash in PH some yrs ago that claimed the life of the Loyola girls college(and late Bimbo Odukoya),Mrs Grace Alele Williams organised some concerned mothers to stage a peaceful demonstration about how cheap human life is in Nigeria. The aftermath was that many of those women landed in hospitals after they were thoroughly "tear-gassed" by policemen. And this was in a democracy. Is that the kinda govt you want to want to reasonably argue with?
The last option is to bear arms so as to make the govt listen to us and i know even you would not wish that upon the country.
In summary,how do you make the govt(the peculiar type we've in Nigeria that is) wake up to it's responsiblity?
So until we solve this puzzle,i think any individual doing his best to minimise poverty should be commended. Of course i abhor the practise of cooking everyday for the masses as being practised in the north,kwara etc but what do you do when hundreds encamp on your doorsteps and refuse to leave till you meet their IMMEDIATE need? Crush them?
