Apparently GEJ defenders do not like to read.
Sahara Reporters has responded to the weak press statement from Abati, asking genuine questions as to the size of GEJ/Patience's entourage to Ethiopia.Yet none of you sycophants even attempts being objective all in the name of defending your boss.
@OP
Please do yourself and your fellow pro-GEJ errand boys a Favour by allowing us to think and reason for ourselves.The culture of lies and deception is a hallmark trait of GEJ (as witnessed by his ego-trip and futile attempt atbreaking of an existing agreement in Ethiopia)and all around him(Abati,Beaf/Reno Omokri et al).

Sahara Reporters has swung a sucker punch.Let's see how Reuben Abati makes a fool of himself on this one.
Facts are clear as daylight.Yet some people want to engage in verbal gymnastics just for the sake of it.
What is the soccer punch? That they weren't provided a list? Dem be God?
If anything, Sowore has only proven that he relied on dem say dem say.
He had nobody on the ground, yet he was able to conjure up numbers in anger, cos Abati didn't give him a list.

Gbawe:
Are you not viewing things a tad simplistically ? What more do you want Nigerian intellectuals to do but keep talking and 'sensitizing' in the hope that ordinary Nigerians , the real custodians of power even if they don't know it, may eventually grow mentally evolved enough to seize the day from those who have crafted an evil system that uses the worst in the land to usurp our commonwealth for a few.

Did you not see so many "intellectuals" and respected Nigerians speak against the adoption of GEJ because thet believed his record ,without doubt, only revealed mediocrity? Yet what did Nigerians go on to do if not vote for the boy with no shoes blindly while ignoring the 'intellectuals' we should ordinarily listen to.

Intellectuals are not more duty-bound to sacrifice themselves merely because they are better thinkers than others. The onus of sacrifice should fall on all of us but that becomes difficult to see in practice with some of our brilliant Nigerians being a match for any on earth while most Nigerians remain simplistic creatures unable to oppose a candidate because they would rather believe he can do no wrong and has a messianic quality ,via his 'divine' journey to the top, instead of judge him on his record in public office. Please free our intellectuals. There is only so much they can do dealing with folks with virtually zero political sophistication. We even see this on NL with how discussions are easily derailed because folks prefer to be sentimental rather than pragmatic.
Lolz!
The words of a lazy "intellectual." Everything to you is a war against unseen enemies.

@OP
We should also add that our intellectuals are escapists, loudmouths, selfish mofo's and pocket stuffers who don't give a damn if their neighbours kids go hungry.

Speaking fluent but non-native Hausa, the lingua franca across the Sahelian belt on the cusp of the Sahara desert, he said: “It’s the secular state that is responsible for the woes we are seeing today. People should understand that we are not saying we have to rule Nigeria, but we have been motivated by the stark injustice in the land. People underrate us but we have our sights set on [bringing sharia to] the whole world, not just Nigeria.”
The bolded is the reason why Northern Nigeria is likely to become an international battle field in the near future.

The issue is not the large entity, it is simple lack of ideology and corruption to move this country forward. just ask yourself this simple question - is there any Black own country in this world as of today that you can equate to even Greece in term of infrastructures? the answer is simple NO. so even if we break with our mentality in 100 years term we will not see that development. we all hate ourselves. The amount of money ND states have received in the last 10 years is good enough to build houses and distribute for everyone free over there but the hatred that persisted in us will not allows us to that.

We keep crying we go break, who is going to break it. Yes IBB gained from the war of unity but thousands of soldiers that fought alongside never gain anything.

My father is one of those soldiers that fought but never gain anything from it, he told me, in-case of any war again in this country let them send their children to the war-front but siddon look till the last standing soldiers.
As for the bolded, Trinidad and Tobago is a high income country and so are several of the Caribbean Islands. The rest of your post is just more of the same low down crap.

This is the clown part of IBB's brilliant brain showing up. I am laughing my head off at the thought of anyone saying the below about Nigeria, talkless of IBB who did more than any previous ruler to ensure that none of it really came to be.

There are so many oxymorons in this brief statement:

1. Nigerian Unity - that is like anyone believing that the United Nations is the same as the nations of the earth being united.
2. The only Republican Constitution for Nigeria is one that is yet to be written.
3. States as federating units - Really? With every state under the stamp of the president who can deploy the army wether the state wants it or not? Where products of the state first go to the Federal government who then decides who gets what?
4. Capitalist Country - capitalism must have a different Nigerian definition perhaps the "everyone has a price" invented by IBB himself. Otherwise, this is just looney talk.
5. Settled issues - there are no settled issues except that change is certain, and perhaps that we will pay taxes and eventually die.

It is these false patriots found on almost all sides of any issue in Nigeria that will ensure this country collapses under its own weight in the no distant future.
Brilliant? shocked

@manny

80% of our foreign exports not 80% of all earnings, do you know how much Nigeria makes from VAT and other taxes alone? We are talking of GDP here and not foreign earnings.
The North contributes more than 1/3 as it has more than 70% share of the 45% in agriculture, note that 70% of 45% is already 31.5% of total, abeg let us say the truth when we see it.
Crap.

Firstly, are the above conjured figures justification for boko haram?
Further, your conjured figures above directly contradict your earlier shallow argument that, lack of access to oil derivation is part of the reason for the existence of boko haram.

So, bruv which is which? Is the North starved off awuf derivation or is it awash with more cash than Lagos, PH, Warri and Onitsha?
The reason for the above question is that the major fraction of the GDP from the South is given to the FG for sharing to all, including the North and its secret 45% that goes untaxed (from your poor arguments) and is therefore wholly pocketted? Any section pocketting 45% of unshared GDP has got to be bloody rich. No?
Politics › Re: Sanusi Links Boko Haram To "oil Derivation". by Beaf: 7:21am On Jan 29, 2012
Isn't it strange that in Sanusi's rejoinder, he absolutely condemned the Niger Delta militants, but didn't have the slightest word of admonition to boko haram?

Wise people know that it is what wasn't said that counts.

Two satellites? Are they being put to good use? Besides, what kind of satellites are these and what are their uses for?

For me, I support true federalism, however, in the absence of true federalism, go for other YET viable options. I support states to control their resources at least, they have rights and authority to decide how they choose to control it without interruptions from the FG, this to me will make everyone mind their own business and focus on how to move their states forward. The Northerners have Agriculture,  agriculture is in high demand, agriculture will feed people ( a need), agriculture clothes people (a need), agriculture for income (a need), why can't they focus on it?
We actually have three. One is for communications and the others can be used to track things the size of a passenger car on the ground; they are multipurpose and are currently used for weather and agriculture, but it should be fairly straightforward to make them count dwellings.

You are absolutely correct about resource control and true federalism. Both policies will cure 90% of Nigeria's ills, from corruption to lack of productivity. Nations like Singapore and Malaysia that became independent at about the same time as us have since become developed countries, because they do not practice the sort of wretched system we have that subsidises laziness. Its hard to get my head round why anybody should be paid for having a massive population of pot bellied peppersouping clowns that won't lift a finger to push a pin, yet expect free money from oil derivations.

There is no part of Nigeria that lacks in human and natural resources, the majority of us are just to lazy to push for the right thing, while there is an extremely powerful minority that is happy with the status quo and will do anything to maintain it (including unleashing boko haram).

Our system is the reason why all our industries died out as the likes of Singapore and Malaysia were growing theirs. Until we take the bull by the horns and totally restructure the system, Nigeria will continue its spiral toward absolute decay and various Sanusi's will keep popping out of cracks and crevices to sing discordant tunes that jar the nerves.

My brother,  are you paying any attention to this discredited hack? Ask him, if he is able to tell the truth, to reveal the exchanges between us before GEJ won the election. I warned that serious terrorist activities, that will ensure nothing is achieved throughout the tenure of GEJ, may be the order of the day. Naively and idiotically, he bragged that GEJ as the C-in-C would use the "might" of the armed forces at his disposal to crush any insurgency. Now that this has not happened, this two-faced deciever is not even decent enough to admit GEJ has failed and that he showed total naiveness, disconnected with reality, as per on-the-ground dynamics.

He now welcomes drones, remote controlled by American executioners , to target Nigerians. What will that achieve if not make every Northerner anti-Government? It will never happen and GEJ would never sanction such. If he cannot go after the sponsors of Boko Haram, how on earth will GEJ sanction the killing of Northerners , innocent and guilty, at the hands of Americans?
