cold:
ABUJA Feb 1 (Reuters) - Nigeria's secret service on Wednesday arrested the spokesman for Boko Haram, who frequently made statements to the press after attacks by the violent Islamist sect, a security source told Reuters.

Boko Haram spokesman Abu Qaqa was arrested in the northern city of Kaduna in the early hours of the morning, said the source, who asked not to be named.

"We are still taking to him. Since 'Abu Qaqa' is a pseudonym for the Boko Haram spokesman, we want to be sure of who we have with us. But we have been on his trail for months now. He's been changing locations and contacts", the State Security Services (SSS) source said.

McLaren MP4-27 and MP4-26 compared
Something tells me that is not the real deal, it looks too much like last seasons car. Maybe they need a chassis to road test a couple of concepts. Another thing, it seems way too high off the ground. Lets wait for the last practice and see if it changes radically from the current design.

On a lighter note though, thanks to McLaren, we know the 2012 season cars don't have to be so damn ugly, unlike Caterhams that looks like an eerie creature that could spring to life in the dead of night and terrify innocent kids. grin
As a McLaren fan, I wish beauty meant speed. . . Fingers crossed.

In the meantime, Pirelli is misfiring in entertaining ways grin
After mad Max, I just wonder when all of F1 would become sophisticated and above board:

Pirelli boss denies 2012 tyres to help Ferrari

Jan.30 (GMM) Pirelli has denied it works too closely in Formula 1 with fellow Italian marque Ferrari in the build up to the 2012 season.

“Nonsense,” the tyre supplier’s chief executive Marco Tronchetti Provera is quoted by La Repubblica newspaper.

The question was put to him after Pirelli decided to soften the hardest compounds of its tyres ahead of the 2012 season.

Last year, Ferrari struggled on Pirelli’s harder tyres.

“It was a choice we made in accordance with all the teams and drivers,” insisted Tronchetti Provera.

“These (2012) tyres are for 2012, not the cars of last year,” he is quoted by Spain’s AS newspaper.

He admitted however to wanting to see Ferrari succeed.

“Naturally. If you’re Italian your dream is for Ferrari to win, if you’re English then it is McLaren. Everyone’s heart is where it is.”

And with Europe in crisis, a Pirelli-shod Ferrari victory would be meaningful for Italy.

“There are Italian companies with the right approach in terms of competitiveness, technology, quality of the people.

“They can offer a great contribution to restoring confidence in the country,” he admitted.

During his conversation with reporters, Tronchetti Provera answered his phone.

“Luchino!” he beamed, admitting the call was from Ferrari president Luca di Montezemolo.

“Now everybody is going to say I have a special relationship with Ferrari,” he laughed, before pausing: “He (Montezemolo) says it isn’t true!”

Tronchetti Provera also insisted he would be happy to see a tyre war in F1.

“Alone or with a competitor, it’s ok either way,” he said. “F1 decided that the tyres should be the same for everyone, but we do not care.

Instead of pursuing the loan case, the EFCC should have looked into the torchlight one. That one contains clear evidence of inflated contracts, taking a loan is perhaps abuse of office, but it is not a crime.
I am sure the inflated contracts case is still alive.

when we look at these figures and screem i just laugh,

the figures quoted here are the legal spendings they intend making, who can give an estimate of what they loot beyond these budgets that we dont have any idea of,
Guy, you will continue screaming and laughing. It must have been the same way you screamed and laughed when several newspapers spread false reports that GEJ spends billions on his meals. You can see the true figure in the OP's article, abi?
If there is corruption, of course that should be dealt with, but rumour mongering is a disease.

Disclosing this yesterday during the 2012 budget defence before the Senator Dahiru Kuta-led Committee on Federal Character and Inter-Governmental Affairs, Permanent Secretary in the State House, Dr. Tunji Olaopa  said refreshment and meals for 2012 would gulp N293.695 million. The same item took in 2011 was N312.316 million.
@topic
Where are the billions for feeding? I wonder how many educated Nigerians have suddenly become vehicles for rumour, pettiness and trash; it is sadenning to see adults reducing themselves to such shallowness.
By the way, Aso Rock is a mini town that is home to the seat of power in the federation, if you do not have the complete breakdown on spending, yet we can draw some wonderful conclusions, then whats the difference between us and a rumour mongering akara seller? The akara seller might do it because they cannot afford information, but what excuse do we have?

Anyways, winshes will be winshes; they must fly at night. embarassed
Politics › Re: Boko Haram Threatens To Unsettle Govt And Judiciary If They Hang Al Mustapha? by Beaf: 12:51pm On Jan 31, 2012
Boko haram is making loud threats everywhere to cover up the fact that they are seeing hell.
The only country where they have relative freedom is Chad. Before the Kano incident, our boyz had driven the phuckers into Cameroon.

Cameroon has noticed the presence of boko haram in their country and stationed troops at their border. This is why Borno and Bauchi have become relatively quiet. Niger Republic has increased their defense spending by two thirds because of boko haram also, however it seems they are still lacking, because boko haram was able to attack Kano.

We need to put more pressure on Chad. It was Chadian mercenaries that attacked Kano, they need to do something drastic about their borders or face unfriendly action from Nigeria.
Nigeria should also begin talking to Benin Republic and Bukina Faso to ensure that their territories do not become boko haram launch pads.

As soon as all their escape routes to neighbouring countries are cut, boko haram will suffocate.

Online Newsdesk Tuesday 30/01/2012
Tunde Adegoke

The first photo's of the elusive and normally nocturnal Minister for paranormal affairs, Chief N.Doctor Prophet Primate Akazu Ahunazu Abayomi have slipped into the studio.
The normally reclusive minister was unusually spotted outside of his Okija abode, eating and confusing live chickens in a stadium.

The photo's have put to rest the rumour that the minister cannot be captured on camera, without the photographer sacrificing a virgin corkrel.

It was learnt from our impeccable source that this mysterious occurrence is part of the ministers plans for a space programme and the final takeoff of Obubra airways. It is expected that the space programme will put the first ever winsh on the Moon, further Obubra airways will provide aeronautic lessons to eager winshes that will see them taking off from their base in groundnut shells and landing in diverse parts like London; all refuelling is to be done at the Jankara human parts market.

The minister has been hailed for his efforts at securing the MDG's for Vision 2020 20.

Oga beaf what makes Delta so special? With all the trillions(?) pumped into it, what has actually improved in your Delta? We all know those delta should be competing with. Since 90s that state has seen relative backwardness compared to Akwa ibom, Lagos, Ogun, Plateau, Rivers, C-Rivers, and abuja (FCT) which it used to be ahead of.
Most of the companies in warri were chased out during the senseless war they fought between themselves and they left for lagos, Ogun, and Rivers and have never returned.
Your so-called 'progressive and vibrant' people av been reduced to begging from the 'Oyel' companies for jobs via qouta rubbish and projects/infrastructures via social this and that
The majority of the communities who dont have quota privileges are miserable, if think am lying go to Otor Udu, Oshiefrun, jesse, Oleh, Ughelli, Ovwian-aladja (save for DSC) and delta ibo communities to see for yourself.
We all saw how representatives of a failed generation of leader/elders in ND came out to demonstrate why Delta is where it is today when they choose to side with an unpopular subsidy policy against the wish of a 'vibrant and progressive' majority of the youthful deltans.
You must think everybody is blinded by ethnic bigotry to have made those funny comment u av made so far.
I wonder why you catch fever each time you hear about any place in the ND? huh

Dude, without doubt, your state looks like a zoo. Wouldn't you love to have Ughelli or Jesse as your state capital instead of your bush overrun hellhole?

Instead of catching malaraia about Delta state which remains the 3rd most developed after Lagos and Rivers, why don't you worry about how many grasscutters you can catch by setting traps in the middle of your state capital? Why not worry about how much cassava you can grow in your governors lodge?
Delta only began recieving 13% in Obj's time, so why not ask yourself why your own state has remained like a zoo after receiving awuf for 51 phucking years? Is your governor Tarzan who loves bush and gorilla's, or just another unevolved awuf luv'n lazy phuck like you who hates ND people because "those bloody minorities" are asserting themselves strongly?

Bad bele go make you explode o! GBOA!
