More revelations in Abuja bombing suspect’s bail applicationhttp://www.eyewitnessnews.co.za/articleprog.aspx?id=52199 Quite clearly, the bomb masterminds are Okah and Chima Orlu. |
EzeUche0:Your whole lineage are bastar'ds. Maybe Chima Orlu is even your father. |
I just pray Tinubu does not dump the man, because such an action will cause real annoyance. Tinubu must not be allowed to use and dump Ribadu. |
Ribadu’s presidential bid in trouble •As Bafarawa, Buhari squeeze him in ACN •Amb. Mamman Yusuf joins race Written by Taiwo Adisa, Abuja Sunday, 07 November 2010 Presidential ambition of the former Chairman of Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mallam Nuhu Ribadu might have run into a hitch following a deluge of activities at the front of the Action Congress of Nigeria(ACN), on which platform he hoped to realise his ambition. Investigations by the Sunday Tribune confirmed that the leader of the ACN, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu was no longer disposed to the emergence of Ribadu as the party’s candidate in view of some new calculations. Sources said that Tinubu’s ambition of emerging the running mate to General Muhammadu Buhari was becoming the overriding project in the ACN for now and that Ribadu’s ambition was taking a bash as a result. Sources said that Ribadu was originally foisted on the party leaders by the pro-democracy elements in the party. The planned alliance with the Democratic Peoples Party (DPP) and the Congress for Progressive Change (CPC) was said to be posing danger to Ribadu’s ambition, as General Muhammadu Buhari and the former governor of Sokoto state, Alhaji Attahiru Bafarawa were said to be knocking the door hard. Though Ribadu had picked the membership card of the ACN, his ambition appeared to be facing challenges by the day, a source said at the weekend. Besides Bafarawa and Buhari, Ribadu was also set to confront the challenge from a former national chairman of the Alliance for Democracy(AD), Ambassador Mamman Yusuf, who would be joining the presidential race on the platform of the ACN. But a source close to Ribadu said on Saturday that the perceived threat to the former EFCC boss’ ambition was a make-belief. The source said that the former EFCC boss was still in the contest, adding that he remained comfortably in the race to win the party’s ticket. http://www.tribune.com.ng/sun/index.php/news/2504-ribadus-presidential-bid-in-trouble-as-bafarawa-buhari-squeeze-him-in-acn-amb-mamman-yusuf-joins-race |
Funny bats. It is easy to see their ploy. . . make a lot of noise in the North, then travel South, visiting all strongholds to collect brown envelopes with the promise of maintaining silence. Nobody should bribe the crabs, instead let them be made a laughing stock by being refused time of day, talkless of being hosted. Even better, invite them, but get office secreteries to host them and tell them off. |
Consensus candidate:Ciroma C’ttee storms South News Nov 7, 2010 … For talks with govs, political leaders By JIDE AJANI The Mallam Adamu Ciroma nine-man committee of the Northern Political Leaders Forum, NPLF, in search of a consensus candidate for the North, was billed to meet with some political leaders in the South between yesterday and today, Sunday Vanguard can reveal. The focus of the meeting would be to brief the southern leaders on the parameters employed by the committee in choosing its consensus candidate. A source close to the committee said its leaders “would be meeting with political leaders in the geo-political zones in the southern part of the country between Saturday, November 6, 2010 and Sunday, November, 7, 2010.” “The meeting”, the source went on, “would focus on the imperatives of keeping the southern leaders abreast of developments regarding the wider consultations on the nine-man committee in the three geo-political zones of the North. “Specifically, the committee would be meeting with the political leaders of the South East geo-political zone, including, possibly, but not limited to the state governors.“The committee would also meet with some political leaders in the South South geo-political zone where members would also hold talks with political leaders.” The same thing would happen in the South West geo-political zone”, the source said. The NPLF has been working with some leaders in the southern part of the country to forge an alliance with a view to ensuring that whoever emerges as the consensus candidate would be generally acceptable to a larger section of Nigerians public. Also, such a candidate, it is expected should be able to defeat President Goodluck Jonathan at the polls next April. Sunday Vanguard was reliably informed that the meeting of the NPLF nine-man committee with leaders in the south is “to prepare them for the announcement of the consensus choice this week”. It was learnt that the reason the announcement of the candidate is still being delayed is not unconnected with the guidelines expected to be announced by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, regarding congresses and primaries which would lead to the emergence of the party’s presidential candidate. Some members of the NPLF are said to be insisting that the group should wait for the announcement of the guidelines before making public the consensus choice while another group is insisting that the name should be immediately announced. Those insisting on a delay of the announcement are claiming that an early announcement would enable the opposition, in this case the Jonathan camp, to focus attention on the consensus candidate while those clamouring for an immediate announcement insist that once a consensus candidate has been announced, whatever actions taken against such a person would be clearly interpreted by members of the public as a voyage in witch hunt. http://www.vanguardngr.com/2010/11/consensus-candidateciroma-cttee-storms-south/ |
EzeUche0: Your intelligence? Is that something I have to look for with stadium searchlights and a microscope? Are you Chima Orlu? Because your reaction is strange enough to be classified as madness. |
EzeUche0:Listen, I don't have the time for any foolish exercise. If you want a debate, haul your bright arse off to SA and burn the affidavit Henry Okah swore. Or don't you know the meaning of affidavit? Well, it is a legal document called an oath by which you certify that your words are true. So, either fck off to SA and join Okahs case (since you know all about it) or shut the fck up! See me see trouble! Is Chima Orlu your uncle? |
The rotten can of worms is opening! Why didn't Okah simply say he knew Chima Orlu from the very beginning instead of fooling himself and trying to create stories? Can you imagine he even knows his real name? It is also possible that Okah is playing on our intelligence with the name, "Umejesi" which sounds suspisiously similar to Jessy.
LOL But he can't. . . .try to listen without vindicating him because he's Igbo.
Ileke how bodi? Do you mind the clown? I don't understand how such a grave matter can be trivialised by tribalistic sympathies. |
Wanted Bomber is in S’Africa, Says Okah – Thisday November 5, 2010 by Bunmi Awolusi The suspected mastermind of the October 1 bombings, Chima Orlu, is currently in South Africa, militant leader Henry Okah said yesterday. Okah, who was arrested in Johannesburg on October 2 and is being held on terror charges in connection with the bombings, made the allegation in an affidavit submitted in court at his bail hearing. He will now know his fate on the bail application Tuesday next week. Shortly after the bombings, the Nigeria police declared two persons wanted, naming them as Orlu and Ben Jessy. But Okah said police misidentified Orlu, alleging that he knew the man as “Justin Malcolm Umejesi”. He said he provided accommodation for Umejesi in Johannesburg after they became friends, alleging that Umejesi took advantage of his (Okah’s) hospitality to spy on him for Nigeria http://nigerianbulletin.com/2010/11/05/wanted-bomber-is-in-s%E2%80%99africa-says-okah-thisday/ |
JaaizTech:If you are a Northerner, then you ought to be thoroughly ashamed of your response. It is to preempt sentimental responses like the above that I asserted that it would be best for a Southerner to undertake a programme of massive education in the North, because any Northerner doing it might be torn to peaces by his very own. There are an estimated 10 million almajiri's and there are many vested interests in the almajiri industry. I'm shocked you actually asked how the poor level of education in the North affects the whole country. If there are 10 million kids running rampant with begging bowls instead of going to school, its quite obvious that 10 million members of the workforce have been grounded. No? Do you know that there are industrialised countries whose populations are less than 10 million? Singapore, Denmark, Finland, Sweden, Switzerland, Luxembourg etc etc Aside from not contributing to the workforce, those 10 million act as a drag on the rest of society, because they must be fed and clothed without contributing a farthing to the countries development. Perhaps, you have never heard of the thousands of Southerners that are slaughtered each time a white person in far away Europe annoys some misguided Imam. Who do you think does the massacring? Mosquito's or fcked up almajiri's? Lastly, the most important element in a peaceful and progessing Nigeria, is the ability of all to reason on the same level. It is impossible to aciheve this without all sides being equally educated, in fact the reason the likes of Ciroma, Kaita and their gang of bats resort to threats of violence is a lack of proper education. The huge gap in education between North and South is deeply reflected in the countries overall economic and intellectuall output. In field after field, it is glaring that the country is losing the Norths contribution, check this list of reknowned Nigerian writers; how many Northerners are on it? Its not that the brain power isn't there, its just that enough numbers don't bloody go to school; http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Nigerian_writers Dude, go and drink water and exhaust your sentiment elsewhere jare! |
There were probably several road accidents all over the country in which much more than one person died. Why don't you tossers ask Jonathan to visit all road accident scenes instead of being at the Silverbird anniversary?? |
rethink:You started well and ended crossing yourself out. There is no such feeling of '"we" are weaker.' In fact thinking in such terms is backward and shallow. You can be rest assured that the average Southerner is quietly confident, you will note that all threats of violence and mayhem have been emanating from the North. Threats are a sign of insecurity and fear, an effect of not being able to cope with structured positions of their Southern colleagues (something that can only come from an educated minds). Nigeria is an unequal society simply because, the North were the civil war victors and they built an unfair country around military representation; their kids joined the army or FG, while Southern kids got an education. Today, we live in a society that is democratic and the brute force of the army has been made ineffective as a force to move the country in any direction; as a result, the North is suffering massively. It might sound funny to some, but the solution to 90% of Nigeria's problem is to massively educate Northerners. Any other line of action is just going to further complicate matters. In the meantime, Natural order will take its cause. I really hope that Jonathan can formulate a comprehensive programme of education for the North, post 2011, its the only way forward and I feel it is best for a Southerner to carry out that task. |

Possible eruption from the Oku Volcanic Field in Cameroonhttp://bigthink.com/ideas/24846 |
Volcanic eruptions in Benue • 1 killed, property destroyed From ROSE EJEMBI, Makurdi Saturday, November 6, 2010 Tragedy struck yesterday in Mkomon District, Kwande Local Government Area, Benue State, a border community to Cameroun, when volcanic eruptions on a mountain claimed the life of one person as well as destroyed property worth millions of naira. Saturday Sun gathered that the tragedy occurred while residents of the community were attending the annual thanksgiving service of the local church. Terzungwer Iorhemen, a member of the community, told our correspondent that midway into the thanksgiving service, vibrations on the earth overwhelmed the area, located at the Cameroun boundary. “While the thanksgiving service was going on, we suddenly noticed heavy vibrations in the mountain bordering the area with Cameroun Republic, which was followed by a sudden eruption from six points on the mountainous terrain,” he said. He disclosed that the vibrations were followed by the eruption of lava from the mountain covering wells, streams, trees and houses in the area, leaving residents with no other option than to flee for their lives. While people were scampering for safety, due to the effect of the vibrations and the lava eruption, it was gathered that a young boy, who wanted to have a feel of the lava, was killed. Villagers tried effortlessly to save the boy, but failed. Sources said that many villagers of the Mkomon district are still on the run for fear of further volcanic emissions from the mountain. Residents of the affected community have deserted their homes, as sources of potable water have been polluted by the heavy magma emitted from the eruption. Saturday Sun gathered that the accident has been reported to the paramount ruler of the community, the Ter Kwande, Chief James Atzape and the local government council leadership, just as desperate moves were being made to evacuate the affected inhabitants to safety. Attempts to reach the local government council chairman on phone for comments proved abortive. When our reporter called at the Benue State Emergency Management Agency, executive secretary of the agency, Adikpo Agbatse, was said to have led other officials http://www.sunnewsonline.com/webpages/news/national/2010/nov/06/national-06-11-2010-001.htm https://www.sunnewsonline.com/images/fire%20-06.gif |
Very interesting! Foreign agencies are about to singe Atiku's bright arse! For those who might not know, OPL 245 is an oil block aqcuired by Shell for $210milla in 2004. here's some background to that oil block: . . .http://allafrica.com/stories/201005211138.html |
Hulkenberg gets his first poll, and what a poll that was!!! |
Its Hulkenberg Vettel Webber Lewis Alonso Hulkenberg, 1 second faster than others! Damn! |
Lewis has put on a set of soft sleeks! Everyone is changing to sleeks now as well. |
Button is out! ![]() |
Q2 - Button is struggling! Damn! |
Dede1:That is semantics, which is a different ball game. If you feel its better called Benue-Niger Delta, thats fine. But we'll have to rename the Niger bridge to Benue-Niger bridge as well. |
alj harem:This is too funny! Tribalists have a way of stepping on their own tongues and tripping themselves. If our identity is too small, what would you say about yours? Our "small" identity happens to be known Worldwide, how about yours? ![]() Niger Delta is quoted and referenced in the Worlds press on a daily basis. Dude, where do you come from? Who are you? What are you? ![]() |
Obiagu1:It always pays to read every single comment before joining in. It is really ridiculous to accuse me of not understanding the exact thing I've been telling others. Go back and read before you comment. |
The thing might be more widespread than our severely crippled press is reporting. Some residents in Enugu told Saturday Tribune that the people of the state are not feeling the impact of the ecological funds, pointing out that even when Ugwu-Eme community in Awgu Local Government Area was recently hit by a volcano as well as Ngwo-Uno in Udi Local Government Area of the state which experienced tornadoes, little or nothing was heard from the authorities.http://www.tribune.com.ng/sat/index.php/features/2408-why-states-still-suffer-from-disasters.html |
alj harem:1. Open your dictionary and find out the meaning of "delta" 2. Grab an atlas, first locate Nigeria, then locate the Niger River and its delta They say, "ignorance is no excuse before the law." Someone should extend that to the internet. |
What a year for Nigeria! We turn 50 and get bombs as gifts; floods in the East, North and West; kidnappers take over Abia governance; the voices of crancky old bats like Ciroma and Kaita. . . Now earthquakes and volcanoes?!!!! Na wa! What are the portends? |
Abagworo:To say I am gobsmacked at Dede's stance is an understatement, it is most unusual. His sentiments have led him into an open trap. |
jason12345:Dude, this is one of the numerous sideways attacks we should expect from tribal supremacists. They see the area as packed with small sized ethnicities they feel they should lord it over; but each time they get near they get a bloody black eye! ![]() Warri no de carry last (extrpolate that to Yenegoa, Port harcourt and pilele)! Their style is to first say our area doesn't exist, next (just as alj harem has done) they will say our ethnic groups do not exist; if they aren't confronted now, they will finally walk into our compounds and tell us that our kids are bastar'ds and our wives are theirs for the taking. We need to pull together to fight off outside tribalists and stoutly protect and empower our smallest groups, whether they be Anioma Igbo, Isoko or Itsekiri etc. There are many wolves and vultures at the door. |
Interlagos is wet! Qualifying should be really interesting! |

This is an Ijaw issue. Igbo man has no stake in this fight.
The solution to Nigeria's problem is educating the North
