10 million kids my salty balls dude. 10 million, no you forgot, every kid in the north is an almajiri, all of us are. Just because Dukku said that doesn't mean its true or just because a newspaper said that doesn't mean its true. It is logically impossible for 10 million children in a country of 150 million to roam the streets begging for food. That means 7% of the entire country are beggars. Come on, do you live in lala land! come on!!!! that means close to 15% of the northern population is made up of juvenile beggars. I dont know where they got that Statistic but it is inaccurate for sure. Common sense if you have any will not allow you to believe that rubbish. If you break it down further, the population of kids 12-24 is likely somewhere in the region of 40 million, that age group is 95% of the almajiri population and it means 1 in every 4 kids is a beggar. I have statistics degree and I can tell you that it is a monumental lie because these numbers dont make sense.
Dukku was criticized for that b.s statement.
The minister has access to data. You have none.
She has even said that from their collation so far, 10 million is a very conservative figure. That is a crisis for you to pay attention to, rather than glue your eyes on oil.
Why should the figure stun you when so many are uncaring enough to give their 11 year old girl children out in marriage? There is little value for children.

@beaaf

This is typical non sensical rant of some one that has no life of his own. I am a person first living in a social setting. The social setting is nigeria. If you however want to change your setting you are very welcome to do so.

We the south are so silly to the High heavens. I want you and your proponders of the theory that the north is Nigeria's Problem, to give me one Empirical evidence to that effect.

Yesterday I listened to Wole soyinka talk like a typical Feudal lord that has lost control over his subject say that the North were the problem of Nigeria because the Colonialist gave power to the Northern. He went on to imply that the North was Backward in Education and Trade.

That is a capricious lie from the pit of Hell. The hausa language was a trade Language for several year. When the northern parts of Nigerian were usinng pen we did not have any. The Northern civilisation is more developed.
I only want to pick up on the bolded, because the rest of your rant is plain foolishness. Wole Soyinka is a Nobel Laureate and you bits of broken logic are no match (like comparing gold and pig swill).

Concerning the advancement of Northern civilisation as compared to the South, I've noticed some racist Northerners tend to bandy about the foolishness about advancement that you are claiming. We really should open a thread concerning that, so the matter can be put to rest once and for all. Do you really know the meaning of advancement? Is there anything to compare with these, surely not Nok (that is Middle Belt, not North anyway)?

What is the population of the north? last I heard, its approaching 82 million, what is the population of almajiris of northern extraction, most likely not up to 10,000 people nation wide! So less than 1% of the norths population is living an "almajiri" lifestyle. But as far as you're concerned, every northerner is an almajiri, see how you're over emotional and illogical at time? How many major incidents have occurred that involved religiously motivated violence excluding JOS, maybe 3 or 4. Jos is an economic issue and both groups are equally guilty. You say we dont contribute but the largest industrialist in Nigeria who by the way employs more southerners than northerners is a hausa-fulani man from Kano. Yes Dangote's activities can be truly described as contribution because there is production involved. Right now, he's expanding into the African continent buying up cement businesses from Ethiopia to South Africa, aren't you proud that a Nigerian is making his mark on the continent? Or are you parochial and think he only represents people from Kano and all his profits (in the billions) should only be reinvested in his village.
This is getting damn commical. first the population of the North cannot even be up to 40 million. There is no place on Earth where the desert hosts huge populations, you guys have simply added the population of goats and cattle to your number.

Secondly, and most importantly, there are at the very least, 10 million blood sucking, Southerner murdering, Middle Belt Killing almajiri's. Maligned by their leaders who see them as little more than vicious pack dogs to be unleashed on their enemies. Poor children, maybe we need to launch a war to save them from their parasitic bastar'd overlords who only care about oil and practise evil toward the children of their own brothers.

10m Kids Beg In The North – Minister
Written by Ali Alkali, Kaduna
Sunday, 22 November 2009 19:14

Minister of State for Education,Hajiya Aishatu Jibrin Dukku, at the weekend took a swipe at the educational backwardness in the north, estimating the number of child beggars in the region (almajirai) at more than 10 million.

“We are yet to finish our compilation, but at the moment we have over ten million child beggars roaming our streets, and that’s a conservative estimate,” she said.

She also decried the situation whereby wealthy northerners are not emulating their southern counterparts in investing heavily in education.

What sweat, you're sweating to plant the oil right, it is through your labor that oil came into being right! What misery?? are ND governors and politicians miserablehuh
This is pure foolishness!

Do you know how many family members I have lost to asthma? Or do you know how many are ravaged by asthma?
Do you know how many times I turned on the tap as a kid and the water had an oil sheen and very foul taste and stench? Do you know how many times I drank that water and developed a stomach ache? Or how many times I woke with the whole place smelling like gas?

All the above are directly tracable to gas flaring and oil spills, I guess they aren't signs of misery to fcking parasites and vultures. I grew up in an urban area, the problems in rural areas are tens to hundreds of times worse.

It might hurt the innocent Hausa-Fulani that in whole of Nigeria, the ND has singled them out as parasites; we don't have issues with any other ethnicities. Core Northerners need to introspect, because they are fighting a losing and self destructive battle.

Please get hold of some of Sanusi's articles, Jarus can help you in this regard, I can disagree with some of his assertions as per the Yorubas, but I will always acknowledge a brilliant piece when I see one and Sanusi writes very good articles. The thing I like about his articles is he makes you see things in a different way, he makes you ask questions, that is the hallmark of a brilliant man, I wish he will go into teaching, I will definitely sign up for his classes.
I disagree. Sanusi is a flawed mind that displays the occassional ability for lateral thought, but he always spoils it by overeaching or swindling (depending on where you are sitting).

not all inventors are introverts, that is an over generalisation, by saying he should go on tv i do not mean he has to do everything i say word for word, all i mean is he could have made a louder noise, a cure for diabetes is a real big deal, WHERE IS HIS PROOF?, All the things i said about using cameras or a fone was to make light of the situation and just to show that it cannot be that difficult to spread the word, if he truely had the cure, my advice is this(that is if he sincere which i highly doubt) is to help him with his tooth ache cure so we can all eat as many sweets as we want and not care about toothaches, we have seen this so many times, i can do this and that but yet no proof, he is playing the"am a poor man being cheated" card and you have bought it, this is not always the case cool
Dude, words are very powerful, especially when they are targetted at a vulnerable group - believe me genius is a vulnerability. They are a group of people whose thinking is so advanced that they have societal difficulties most times. They need to be nurtured, not poked at.

I don't know if Nwankwo is right or wrong, but he must be given benefit of the doubt (and not by any of the methods you have innocently suggested). He needs legal help more than anything right now, because he is in a patent dispute; I pity him him, because the smallest patent litigation in the US costs tens of millions, for something like diabetes, we are talking hundreds of millions of dollars. Where on Earth is the poor man from Ntighauzo Village going to find that money?
A Nigerian brother might have been shafted pretty badly and we should be looking to his interest and asking the right questions, not talking about youtube or TV.
Politics › Boko Haram - Nigeria Deports 700 Immigrants In Sect Crackdown by Beaf(op): 6:05pm On Nov 04, 2010
Nigeria deports 700 immigrants in sect crackdown
MAIDUGURI, Nigeria | Thu Nov 4, 2010 9:30pm IST

MAIDUGURI, Nigeria (Reuters) - Hundreds of immigrants have been deported from northern Nigeria back to neighbouring countries as part of a security crackdown on a radical Islamic sect, a senior immigration official said on Thursday.

Suspected members of the Boko Haram sect have been blamed for torching police stations and carrying out fatal sniper attacks on police officers and local officials in the remote northeast of Africa's most populous country.

Around 700 migrants from Niger, Cameroon and Chad have been expelled amid fears the sect may be drawing members from outside Nigeria, said Babayo Alkali, the top immigration official in Maiduguri, capital of the northeastern state of Borno.

"With the recent security threat in the state and approaching election, we had to embark on an exercise to clear the state of all illegal aliens," Alkali said.

"Some foreigners were implicated in the Boko Haram security breach so we had to act," he said.

Alkali said those deported, some of whom said they were visiting relatives, had been found to lack the necessary paperwork to stay in Nigeria. He did not say whether they had been found to have any links with Boko Haram.

Boko Haram is calling for sharia (Islamic law) to be implemented across Nigeria, a country of 140 million people that is roughly divided into a mostly Christian south and largely Muslim north. A dozen northern states have introduced the religious code over the last decade.

The sect first gained wide attention last July, when it launched an uprising in Maiduguri that led to clashes with security forces in which up to 800 people were killed.

RETALIATION

Some northern Nigerians say the recent resurgence in violence is a form of revenge against the authorities. Police officers, government officials and traditional leaders have been killed in a wave of attacks that began in August.

Nigeria is due to hold a fiercely contested presidential election within the next six months and security concerns are high. Some northern factions within the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) are opposed to the candidacy of President Goodluck Jonathan, who is a southern Christian.

The dusty and impoverished north is not the only area of concern.

There are also fears that an amnesty for rebel groups in the oil-producing Niger Delta, hundreds of kilometres away on the country's southern coast, is starting to fray.

The amnesty has brought more than a year of relative peace in a region where militants had for years attacked oil facilities and kidnapped Nigerian and foreign employees of firms including Royal Dutch Shell and Exxon Mobil.

you believe he has a cure for diabetes and toothache and yet you cant see u r the real fool, u must have been looking at the mirror when you wrote the word fool
People like you are crass id!ots who only go around pulling their fellow man down out of crude jealousy. You are a fool for thinking that your average genius would seek publicity on TV. 60% of geniuses are introverts, so if Nwobilo Nwankwo has a claim to genius, chances are very high that he is an introvert that is the exact opposite of your broke singer looking for a break.

Yet another proof of the strospheric levels of foolishness residing between your eyes, is the fact that you think Nwobilo Nwankwo's case can be validated by his going on TV. Scientific agreement is reached by replication and consensus by experts in the field. Tellingly, Nwobilo Nwankwo is claiming that there is an actual patent (I hope you know what that means?) which has been credited to one Dr. Louis Nelson, whereas the idea was his (and I guess he is able to provide evidence of prior knowledge). Would the existence of an actual patent not show you up as a fool? But then the average !diot has no clue as to how patents are granted.

First impressions of the name, Dr. Louis Nelson are that it belongs to a European. Shouldn't that be most concerning to people like you? Several indigenous discoveries have been stolen by foreigners and every thinking Nigerian should be up in arms until it is proven that this is not the case. But I guess fools like you find thinking quite laborious.

As to my involvement with Afroscience Community which you have described as crap, it is something I hold dear; we are doing our best to bring quality of life through "peoples science" to the person in the street; we have a few free inventions and should be adding another 3 or 4 this weekend.
I do not see any shame in associating with Afroscience Community. I have however, met many cretins, fools and others with both moral and aptitude impediments, people like you kind self. They never cease to amaze the critically minded as to how they manage to maintain some semblance of an existence. Do you care to submit yourself to science so that this mystery can be unravelled? I would love to study you as a science project.

I feel compelled to comment on this gentleman's claims.

He claimed to have submitted a cure for diabetes to NIPRD. The fact is that at this moment in time there is no known cure for diabetes either type 1 ( Insulin dependent diabetes ) or type 2 ( Non- insulin dependent ).

I am at a loss to comprehend how he can make such a bold claim. This is a disservice to those suffering from the disease in Nigeria by attempting to give false hopes.

He also claimed to have perfected toothache medicine to eradicate toothache in the world, give us a break. Surely he doesn't know the basic patho-physiology of toothache.

This guy is clearly an illiterate who has no clue about what he is claiming. The term charlatan comes to mind because this is nothing short of quackery or worse a 419 scam.

Is this another Philip Emeagwali in the making ?
If there is no cure, would that not be reason for someone to seek a cure, and on finding it, make a claim? You haven't made any sense.

It is comments like this that make all Nigerian inventors and geniuses flee the country, because every man is trying to pull the other down. Who gives a damn if it is Urobo or Uhrobo , the man was giving a speech how do you know which one of the word he used. Unless of course you are one of those haters who don't know don't have the guts to face the truth.
So you claim to be educated ,still you fail to understand that all human beings are created equal , that education is an opportunity given for one to acquire knowledge; therefore Northerners can compete intellectually with any tribe in Nigeria and any nationality in the world when given the opportunity.
You will find that Urhobo people give a damn. I am surprised that you couldn't address the heap of bare faced lies that went along with the disrespect in the repeated wrong spelling.
Of course Northerners can compete with anyone intellectually, but that is not the crux. The big point is, why does the average core Northerner care so much about oil (instead of gaining the education that will make them intellectually able and intellectually competitive), to the extent that someone of Sanusi's calibre can open his mouth and lie against, not only the Itsekiri and the Urhobo, but belittle the political and human rights agitations of the entire Niger Delta peoples.
For his own dubious reasons, the parasitic marabout also put the period since the discovery of oil in Delta state as 10 years, whereas the people have been suffering for half a century. Why can't he stick to subjects he is intellectually capable of tackling (like sharia), instead of telling shameless lies against minority groups?

Again, who gives a damn? You might care to tell me why you don't give a damn, we could get an education going here.

“Every time you talk about division, when you restructure, do you know what will happen? In Delta, Area, the people in Warri will say Agbor, you don’t have oil. When was the Niger Delta constructed as a political enlity? Ten years ago, the Itshekiris were fighting the Urobos. Isn’t that what was happening? Now they have become Niger Delta because they have found oil. After, it will be, if you do not have oil in your village then you can not share our resources.

“There is no country in the world where resources are found in everybody’s hamlet. But people have leaders and they said if you have this geography and if we are one state, then we have a responsibility for making sure that the people who belong to this country have a good nature.

“So, why don’t you talk about; we don’t have infrastructure, we don’t have education, we don’t have health. We are still talking about Fulani. Is it the Fulani cattle rearer or is anybody saying there is no poverty among the Fulani?”, he said
Can someone tell the clown that there is nothing like "Urobo?" It is Uhrobo, I would expect a man of Sanusi's calibre not to make such an error repeatedly, but then his degree was in some marabout discipline in the sands of Sudan.

Also, it is stup!d to lie that Urhobo and Itsekiri stopped fighting ten years ago, because oil was discovered and the Niger Delta "suddenly" came into existence. There are just too many lies in his statement, but every aboki is an ND "expert." Oil was discovered in Delta state in the early 1960s (almost 50 years ago), and the evil politics of Nigeria, not the discovery of oil forced the formation of the Niger Delta as a political unit.
If I am not mistaking, there is almost a tone of bitterness in Sanusi's words that Urhobo and Itsekiri are no longer fighting.

Maybe one day, Fulani people would actually contribute something to this country.

Those questions are too tough for a parasitic vampire na!
They have zero ambition except to sip free oil, regardless of what blood price has been paid for it and sit in splendour surrounded by oceans of illiterate, blood sucking, disease racked, killer almajiri's.

As for the veiled undercurrents in their arguments that govt needs to do "something", they don't seem to know how to read the times. Of course, we understand that "something" to mean Gbaramatu or Odi. I think people should be careful what they ask for, their desert produces only sand, while the ND feeds them and equips the army; can they really survive a full scale war? Will the fckers throw sand as weapons? Will they pour sand into their Boko Haram fuel tanks? Do they realise that JTF is the countries strongest brigade by some margin, yet they were fought to a standstill by MEND (not even a full fledged army) to the extent that bribery had to be employed to avoid disgrace?
Of course, people who are led by vast airbags like Ciroma will always embark on fatal journeys. Let them try any nonesense and see their carmels catch fire.

You scheme for oil blocks, churn out blood thirsty almajiri's year on year, manufacture Neanderthal cults like Boko Haram, slaughter Southerners and Middle Belters on an industrial scale annually, steal vast sums of FG money without as much as a pin in development of your own backyard, your 60 year olds marry 13 year old girls, you riot when health officials offer vaccinations against diseases that have been eradicated everywhere on Earth except in your neighbourhoods, you kill your fellow Nigerians by the thousand when white people in Europe annoy you etc etc

When other Nigerians are talking about problems, you guys need to shut up, because you are the problem and we are getting very tired of you.

Under the Basic Law of Saudi Arabia, all its oil and gas wealth belongs to the government: "All Allah's bestowed wealth, be it under the ground, on the surface or in national territorial waters, in the land or maritime domains under the state's control, are the property of the state as defined by law. The law defines means of exploiting, protecting, and developing such wealth in the interests of the state, its security and economy."[1] Energy taxes are also specifically allowed; Article 20 of the basic law states, "Taxes and fees are to be imposed on a basis of justice and only when the need for them arises. Imposition, amendment, revocation and exemption is only permitted by law

Since we're in the business of throwing foreign laws out there, here's one, this happens to be of the country with the highest proven oil reserves in the world and the largest exporter of oil, so they know a thing or two about oil.
You're missing the point, what does Nigerian Law say about the ownership of oilhuh Not American Law because their law is not applicable in Nigeria likewise Saudi Law is not applicable.
So why don't you fck off to Saudi to be under "Allahs law?" Here we feed you and we aren't Muslim. I'm sure you can't comprehend that though (maybe just the same way a Southerner or Middle Belter will never understand why all your able bodied men and women have been exported, all clutching begging bowls. It is just plain that you people are damn lazy and want to feed off others sweat or misery. Well, the party is grinding to a jarring halt.

You say someone is missing the point, yet they gave examples of countries that are democracies. The Saudi example you gave knows no democratic principles, in fact they practice sharia and is the ONLY country in the World where women are not allowed to vote.

Right from the start of the struggle, ND people have recognised the core Northerner as the problem. It is illustrative that two of you making immoral arguments here are core Northerners, you people need to be cut loose to fend for yourselves in the desert, then Nigeria will finally begin to prosper.

By early next year, we should be a powerful force.

If you are a genius of any sort in Nigeria, your only reward is perdition.

The funny thing about parasites like krendo is that they know every last exploitative law on oil in the constitution. So the fools rise to attempt to provoke general rage against the ND and "political correctness" and like any evil winsh, when they are defeated they change tune to crying crocodile tears for the ND and lamenting about the very exploitative corruption they themselves embody and strive to propagate.

The immoral fool claims that his state has rich deposits of uranium, yet it doesn't seem strange to him while there is a Petroleum Act, there are no specific laws for uranium, no uranium act. It would never occur to a parasite that there is something very strange in the existence of a petroleum act, WHILE THERE IS NO URANIUM ACT, OR GOLD ACT, OR  TANTALUM ACT, OR TIN ACT etc.
Fcked up parasites are never bothered with finer details, they just want to attach themselves and suck blood. . . ND folk (and other Nigerians too) have learned to swat them. When we are done, Nigeria would be a progressive nation whose fortunes have turned around.

I wonder what you and other parasites will do in the near future when the Niger Delta struggle is won? Perhaps you'll run under a molue or lie down in the middle of 3rd Mainland Bridge. . . and wait?

I'm really beginning to admire this Ringim guy.
He seems to be the one that can carry out the police reforms Jonathan promised.
The dude comes across as disciplined, no nonsense and tough.

Mass transfer imminent in police
Written by Chris Agbambu, Abuja
Thursday, 04 November 2010

THERE are strong indications that the police hierarchy will soon embark on mass transfer of policemen across the country.

The Inspector-General of Police, Hafiz Ringim, who gave the indication on Wednesday while briefing Assistant Inspectors General (AIGs) and Commissioners of Police (CPs) during his maiden meeting with them, announced that officers and men should be ready for transfers at short notices, while promotion courses would continue to run compulsorily for designated ranks.

He warned that there was now a policy in the Force to retire compulsorily any police officer who failed prescribed promotion exams, after two attempts, as this was to ensure that ranks were worn by those who really deserved them.

He disclosed that the force had already started overhauling and downsizing the police mobile force for optional professionalism and efficiency.

jason12345:
what they have been trying to pass across is for us to reduce the dependence on oil

secondly, to stop behaving like leeches. let them have their resources controlled their own way.
Exactly!
ND people are not pressing to leave the country and Nigeria survives solely on oil, so it would be unreasonable for the oil money that goes to other states and regions to suddenly dry up. Rather, workable agreements can be reached to use ND money to fully develop the resources in other areas (whether human, mineral, or other natural resource). In return shares (or some other agreed compensation method) will be given to the ND.

It doesn't have to be the old methods of theft, corruption and exploitation that fools like krendo are preaching. If not for his type, the North would not be a mess today; you would be shocked at the mineral wealth up there, its just that the core Northern elite (like krendo) have become a bunch of lazy folk who have learnt to live off others sweat.

Any man that lacks morality so much that he pimps his wife out to strangers will also steal from his kids or sleep with his own mother if given the chance. A man like that will do worse than Tinubu or IBB and should preemptively be jailed in a psycho prison.
Considering the ages of some of the men mentioned, they surely would have had kids already while they pimped their wives. People like that need a bullet.

There are too many Nigerians trying too many desperate criminal shortcuts abroad. My advice to all Nigerians seeking greener pastures abroad is that 99% of the time any benefit is very short term, your mates back home will all overtake you.

STAY AT HOME, if you have no natural links to foreign countries, you aren't a doctor, nurse, IT guru, academic, inventor or genius. You will either be overtaken by your mates who stayed back, or you will really suffer in undescribable and demeaning ways.
