Germannig: England is an over-glorified crap of a country
They have been there for more than 1000 years
America is barely 250 years old
I'd stay in my village in Nigeria than live in England
I keep telling Nigerians this. 90% of those that travel abroad live very unhappy lives, its something you can even notice from a lot of posts on NL.

Gbawe: GEJ and Allison-Madueke effectively controlling the sector you have your answer to the bolded above. It is very obvious there is a systematic plan in place.
jmaine: ...;

The bolded is pregnant with meanings and connotations. .what is the systematic plan of GEJ and Allison in engaging in oil bunkering. .

Gbawe needs to give us insights and clues to what he was referring to . . .
You hit the nail squarely here, jmaine.
Gbawe thinks he is clever with his troubling "we and them" outbursts. I would expect him express form and act like a coward as he has done so far by avoiding your challenge for an explanation which your super-size font makes unavoidable even to the blind.

I join you in calling Gbawe to drop cowardice and provide an explanation.

Gbawe! Ayam waiting. cool

We can now see who went off topic first cus of his hard on with a particular name. Bad tin bad o cheesy
I believe sheyguy is Gbawe, because they both very easily tell damaging lies.
Politics › Re: NNPC: "Oil Thieves Have Hijacked Political Power!" by Beaf:
I am not too interested in the intellectually unfortunate topic of the thread, rather Gbawe, the OP once again catches my attention.

The OP is known to devote a lot of his life to crafted lies that are easily blown apart for their lack of intellectual input of any rigour (whether Gbawe is the author of these lies is another matter). The question is why?

Gbawe when cornered by the more intellectually astute members of the forum never fails to come up with a predictable line of defense that runs in the following order:

1. He accuses his adversary of "following" him around.
2. Adversaries quickly become "wimps", "weaklings", "cry-babies" etc.
3. He accuses his adversary of lacking sophistication or being clannish, inferior etc.
4. When his adversary is intellectually persistent, Gbawe feels threatened and unleashes a "you hate the SW" volley.
5. This is quickly followed by "you hate Yoruba's."

This attitude is a freak show of shame. It is easier not to be a promoter of lies and to be intellectually objective.

@OnlyTruth
It takes a real man to be truthful and honest. Welldone.

@Dede
Do you mind my asking if you personally participated in the invasion of the Midwest? It might provide many explanations.

@topic
Does anyone not find it strange that while the FG was at war with Biafra, the Midwest declared it was neutral? That is a very strange position indeed for a region of a country at war to take.
We were never the enemy of Biafra and have never been. It is time to drop the false accusations which were originated for reasons yet unkown (most likely to cover up the blunder of that invasion); these things do not bode well for cooperation.

This is the game (each item can be expanded into a topic of its own):
1. It is not in the interest of the US or UK to see Nigeria split.
2. The core-Northern elite know this too well (having ruled Nigeria for donkey years).
3. 85% of indigenious oil business is held by the core-Northern elite (speaking directly to the US and the UK pocket).
4. The core-Northern elite use the likes of boko haram to blackmail the desperate interests of the US and the UK.
5. Any section, SS, Midwest, SE, SW or Middle Belt that wants out has to fight both ethnic bigotry and US/UK interests.
6. Nigeria accounts for 1/5th of the Black African population.
7. International oil concerns and fears our refugees destabilising W Africa mean no section of the country can go it alone.
8. All the above make anyone allying with Buhari, IBB or Atiku a traitor to the people.

Brothers, let us be wise.

Never doubt that the SS can secede.

Culture › Re: Do Edo (Bini) People See Themselves As Yorubas? by Beaf: 12:05am On May 27, 2012
PhysicsQED: The bight of Benin is indeed named directly after the Benin kingdom while the modern country of Dahomey was named after the bight.I do not know exactly how this association of Benin with precolonial Dahomey started but I suspect it has to with a) the fact that Benin's political influence did extend basically to the western border of Nigeria and possibly beyond it - and a French captain (Landolphe) stated that it extended even to Whydah, a rival kingdom to Dahomey, at one point (after Oyo conquered Dahomey which had earlier conquered Whydah) and b) the Edo name Isidahomwen, which was corrupted and became Isidahomen, Sidahome, etc. "Isi" refers to a foreign land so it was probably assumed that the name indicated Edo people that were previously in the foreign land of Dahomey. My own reading has led me to accept the more plausible claim that Isidahomwen was the name of the grandson of a certain Esan ruler, the Ojirrua of Irrua, as I've seen stated in a book by a Bini writer with a deep knowledge of the history and culture of the Edo. The proper association of Dahomey is with Oyo, which invaded and conquered it.
One of the Eweka's claims Isidahomen was an Esan General in the Edo army. He was in charge of the military outpost in the area. He also claims that a mission was sent from Dahomey to the Oba of Benin before the name change.
The exact details are a bit hazy to me at the mo, but I'll post the link when I find it.

Dude, it is for similar cultural bullying that the Midwest left the Western Region (a lesson in history). It is worth realising that the victim cultures of these threatening, never ending streams of nebulous claims always feel violated.
Foreign Affairs › Re: Why Is England More Developed And Stable Than America? by Beaf: 10:55pm On May 26, 2012
The OP's Claim that England is more developed than the US is really stretching things. Aside from the culture of having a Queen, England has nothing above the US.
Even in Europe, England is far from the richest, in fact they are into their second recession in 3 years, with an economy whose recent growth was due to consumption; much worse is the fact the the pound is overvalued, driving all manufacturing abroad; in turn, its leaders dare not massively devalue the pound because it would lead to a feeding frenzy of cash outflows and disinvestment.
Except something drastic is done, it sounds like a terminally ill economy to me.

The US on the other hand, has a growing economy and makes more per capita than his English counterpart. Equal amounts of money stretch out much farther in the US than in England where everything is grossly overpriced. Its a double whammy.

Call me any name you like. I am from Delta, you are not. Rather, you are like someone staring in through the window.
You won't understand anyway, I'm sure if you put in for governorship of Lagos in 2015, you will do it under ANPP, even though all clever folks are telling you that you are digging your own grave.

Politics › Re: Great Ogboru Is Moving To ACN? by Beaf: 3:13pm On May 26, 2012
rasputinn: Who are the "we",whats the difference between Ibori,Uduaghan and Tinubu

Do you know that even up till last month(as I remember),very prominent opinion leaders and political power brokers in Delta state, from across the three senatorial districts were still reaching out to Ogboru to cross over to the PDP.They truly want to put an end to the Ibori dynasty, but they need a fresh face with an independent mind that they can sell to the electorate,Ogboru fits that bill, what is he pompous about, this was what happened before the April 2011 elections, when he chose to scoff the overtures of the power brokers to join PDP and they'd have replaced Uduaghan with him(with the backing fromthe centre)

Well no long story,Delta will not be governed by an ACN or DPP governor.I only hope all factions unite to forge a common front and get a capable independent minded candidate, and not one of those Uduaghan guys lining up presently.
Whats the problem with the guy? Saliba Mukoro, his fellow coup plotter is already in PDP. Why can't Ogboru join him and carve out a solid faction?
Joining ACN would be the end of the road. ACN in Delta? Lol!
Politics › Re: Great Ogboru Is Moving To ACN? by Beaf: 3:11pm On May 26, 2012
I wish Ogboru would just join PDP instead of moving from party to party. I like the guy and really admire him, I would want to see him as governor, but I don't think he is making the right choices. Joining ACN to contest for governorship in Delta is like committing suicide.

Monaco is a track where machinery matters much less than driver skill. Driver aids are of little use when the walls are so close and the street so bumpy.
It is the one track that thrusts the best drivers to the top. So, how did the teams fare?

Team mate blues...
Vettel didn't do even a single run in Q3 (starting 9th due to Maldonado, demotion to 19th), while Webber is starting on pole.
Massa looked to be better than Alonso, but as always, the better driver comes tops in Monaco. Massa 8th, Alonso 6th.
At Mercedes, it was Shumi who won the toss up with Rosberg.
As usual, Lewid did Button. Lewis 3rd, Button 13th.
It was Grosjean 5th, Kimi 9th.

The future has not found a replacement for mysql.
If you attempt to learn about graph db's, you would soon find out who the many are. I'm not even sure you know what a graph db is, so why waste my time?
You owe yourself a duty to learn, bro. I do not owe you any lesson or lectures. Thank you.

Well, what do you know? Perez has just crashed out in Q1. I am ready to bet my beans and garri that it was due to damage received from Maldonado crashing into him.
That id!ot, Maldonado should have been given at least a 5 race ban last year for using his car as a weapon in his deliberate crash with Lewis, but the stewards were all too engrossed in getting Lewis. angry angry angry
Sports › Re: Formula One Gee-Spot 2012 by Beaf(op): 1:06pm On May 26, 2012
Is it strange that that dunce called Maldonado has maliciously crashed into yet another driver? Last season when he did the same to Lewis, the stewards found the most ridiculous reasons to give him a tap on the wrist as well as reprimand Lewis?!
Today Maldonado has again deliberately crashed into another driver; if there wasn't a Lewis hunting season last year (read racism), Maldonado would have recieved such a stiff punishment that he wouldn't have repeated the id!otic behaviour.
Politics › Re: Will Nigeria Break Up By 2015? by Beaf: 9:57am On May 26, 2012
Onlytruth: I didn't know that this thread would go past 4 pages. Well well.
Agbachakwa egwu o naa n'ukwu -every dance moves must culminate in hip movements.
I advised that we should leave revisiting the past as far as minority (especially the eastern ones) involvement in the war is concerned. My reason remains simple, and it seems that only few of my brothers understood it.
I love Ojukwu and would fight anyone dissing his legacy. I would also be foolish if I say that he was infallible. He was a man too.
The midwest incursion (as every good historian already knows) was a mistake and a miscalculation. Simple and short.

As for the Eastern minorities, as early as August 1966, there was already an Eastern consultative assembly formed to bring everybody on board in the East. It did not achieve much. The next in October of same year didn't achieve much also. There was no SOLID agreement in the East until the shooting war started, and there could not have been that agreement because there were Ijaw elements such as Dappa Biriye and Isaac Adaka Boko who were mentally allied with the Hausa/Fulani North, and there was nothing anyone could have done to persuade them otherwise. For me, after that assembly in 1966, I would have gone to seek an alliance with a STRONG foreign country who would agree to support Biafra with a naval and air force, knowing that these elements were already planning to sabotage Biafra.
If I couldn't get that foreign support, I would have dropped ALL plans of secession and called it a day.

Someone on this thread raised a strong point that southern groups were not Biafra's biggest threats initially. It was Hausa/Fulani. If Biafra had focused on them and dealt with them seriously, no southern element would have even thought about fighting Biafra. All these accusations and counter accusations to me sounds like nothing more than lame attempts at revisionism.
I warn my Igbo brothers to always think strategically.
When I hustle for international airports in SE, join me in that campaign and use the vigor you have wasted here to hustle along with me. Those are strategic investments. I wish you would give 10% of the energy you gave on this thread to such strategic efforts, instead of abandoning it, making it to look like an Onlytruth venture. Save your energy for efforts that would empower us. Campaign for worthy empowerment of our section of Nigeria. When we get empowered, all things shall be added onto us.
You cannot get that empowerment without international access. You are all keeping quiet when you see all the international airports located outside Igbo land. Tomorrow you will start complaining that those people did not join our efforts. When you plan a war, you put it WAY BEYOND THE REACH of failure. That is how we should be thinking, not cherry picking history and cutting and dicing fault-lines.
Onlytruth is truly a builder of men. God bless all people like him.
A a practical and truthful person draws admiration from all sorts of quarters, from friends and even foe.

Nuff said. cool
