Romance / Re: When A Girl Truly Loves You, She Will Never Cheat On You by Beamborla(f): 10:01am On Oct 21, 2016 |
falconey:It was a mutual agreement with an ulterior motive. Letting her go on the ground of cheating early enough could have taught her a lesson and brought her back to her senses thus, making her a better person. Why do we always choose the option of helping people spoil their lives more cos they choose that path? I don't friend zone guys neither do I believe in the long game of chasing. If I will date you, I'd date you and if I won't, I'd let you know by making it very clear. Yes, I consider it wasting of years. Some guys however, are way to obstinate that they walk into the friend zone themselves. Lucky enough for them still, I don't know how to keep friends...I'd say I almost do not have any. I could start on a fantastic note with someone and before you know it, I'm back into my shell. They won't last long enough in the zone |

Greenbullet:That's callous of you. It's not a taboo if you quietly left her alone the moment you caught her cheating. You wasted one year of her life screwing her for fun. She cheated on you, you got someone else and kept screwing her. What makes you different for her? You also cheated on your new found love and let's assume she caught you as well and decided to keep giving you hope while she plans her marriage to another dude, would you still be feeling fly? |
Romance / Re: Ladies: Can You Marry A Man Who Is Currently Earning N50,000 Monthly As Salary? by Beamborla(f): 10:16pm On Oct 20, 2016 |
It all depend on some things. 1. Where is his location? You can't be living in places like Abuja and expect to survive on 50k. It's almost not enough for one person in a month. But for places like Jos, you'd even save if you are prudent enough 2. How much would he be spending on transport fare 3. Do I also have a source of income? Even if it's just 20k minus transport fare At least, 50+20 = 70 4. Is he ready to work hard/smart? Can we grow together? Will he keep pulling me down while I try to go further? Some people are comfortable with managing. (I need to see prospect, determination, ambition and readiness) 16 Likes 1 Share |

tosyne2much:The laws are there but they are ineffective. The laws only protect the interest of the men in the women... Privileges in places of work? You talk as if u don't know what they do to earn them most times How comes war front is all you guys use as a point? Ladies have been signing up for the armed forces, so if she's willing to go fight, by all means. |

Ah! Y'all should not blame the lady. Only her knows what she is passing through. She shouldn't bleach her skin, though. She should learn to love and accept herself before first. |

YorubaDemon:This is the hypocrisy of we mortals. Can we leave the Bible out of this? You said male child should be priotized over me because I'm a female and whatever given to me would fall into the hands of my in-laws, right? But it's right for my family to collect from my in laws, it's okay for them to call me and bug me over their kids school fees, it's cruel if my husband decides not to help any of them when his help is needed. Abi? I'm the only link and I'm not that valuable to them. Why did God tear the cloth used to cover the temple when he died? Yes both male and females get raped. Males get rapped more by men these days. Females get rapped by then. Innocent young girls are being kidnapped daily and sold into prostitution, they are being forced into marriage, parents use them as way out of poverty Truth is arguing with you over this is a futile effort, your reasoning is shocking and alarming. Where do I even start from? |

YorubaDemon:I'm stunned! But if I work and earn my money, my family can accept it. They can take gifts from my husband. Did u just mention that the Bible value men more than women? I'm sure you'd back up the issue of rape including marital rape, human trafficking and domestic abuse with the Bible as well. I know the idea. I understand the concept. It's equality! You are human so am I. |

Gasu:Yes, boss. Respect! Thanks! It's no fun for me. I watched one out of boredom and I almost sank into depression. Jeez! They can cry like no tomorrow. No suspense, extremely dull, story line is often the same and painfully unrealistic no humour. Even when they try to infuse action, it's still the dull, slow and programmed kind of action. Just tears and love Give me movies like person of interest, crack, elementary, the mentalist, house of cards, fast and furious, annimation, I love me some black american movies, I can go on and on |

thesuave10:It's hard enough to find love. I don't want ideas and dreams that do not exist. I want to have peace of mind in the simple love I sincererity I get from a hrt that truly beats for me. Not constant heartache of what he 'ought' to do if I behave in a particular manner. I mean expecting him to kiss me after I yelled at him... Unrealistic expectations |
Romance / Re: What Do You Women Really Want With 'feminism' by Beamborla(f): 10:32pm On Oct 09, 2016 |
YorubaDemon:What do I have to say about feminism. ...feminism wouldn't be a problem today if women have not been repressed back to back from time immemorial. Feminism seek to liberate women from the yoke placed on them by the society... Yes, women are part of the problem. I can go on and on but one thing I have to say is that any man who is not a misogyn or a potential one wouldn't feel threatened by the movement. Women are not asking to be the head, they are simply asking to be treated equally. Since the society won't take equity as an option. Don't deny me a job because of my virgina, don't deny me a promotion I deserve because men would be under my control... don't place limitations on me because of my gender. Don't count me out of my inheritance because I'm a lady, don't think of me as less a child because I don't own a dick. Moreover, guys these days want a woman who is independent, support the family financially, massage his ego, run the home seamlessly without a voice of her own...kolewerk. You can't eat your cake and still have it. If you can't give equality, give equity. I however do not have to agree with all of their ideologies to identify with them. 4 Likes |

Originalsly:Feel bad? Far from it! I just find it funny that my skin is better when it's getting lighter. He's not the first to make such comments... I've seen and heard people(both male and female) make such comments to other ladies. All these goes a long way to show that the society favours the light skin over dark skin. Hence, the desire to fit in and be accepted push ladies into bleaching their skin. |

Miggs:And you are accusing me of arrogance, very funny. You called your point perfect? You are still asking me to tackle it, read my reply again. I guess you expect me to be rude just like your are, sorry, I've got manners. I don't go about insulting people to prove a 'perfect' point. Yes, Nigerian men are part of the problem. Majority of them prefer light skin to dark skin. You reffered to me as this one, pls, stay off my mention. |
Romance / Re: When Girls Bleach.. by Beamborla(f): 7:21pm On Oct 09, 2016 |
Originalsly:You've spoken well and yes you have a point. I do understand your point of view. I'm more particular about what makes them bleach. And yes, if the benefit does not outweigh the negative effect, bleaching wouldn't be as common as it is today. Mind you, I'm dark skinned with two fair skin sisters. Yet, I love my skin I wouldn't trade it for a fair skin...ever. My skin has been used to insult me, albeit jokingly and it has earned me praises as well. That said, let me share my most recent experience with you. Just this evening, a friend saw me and was like Kaduna weather is good for u. I asked how, He said your skin looks lighter so I asked if my skin getting lighter is a good thing and he replied 'yes'. I've had many of this conversation. Any time I travel out of Kaduna, I get lots and lots of such comment |

Miggs:I don't know how you do it, but writing in caps gives the impression that you are yelling at me. That said, I didn't force my opinion on you hence, you shouldn't do that to me so telling me to get whatever you've written into my skull then switching to all CAPs is rude, mister. We are not quarreling. We have different views, Fine! I'm sure you can present it like a 21st century being. I didn't hinge it on men alone, I included the society. You've got a point but what you yelled at me up there is often 'mere words of mouth' just like the cliche 'black is beautiful'. The bullshit is not necessary as well. |

Bizibi:Sir, I didn't say anything about all men liking fair skin ladies. A good number of them do. I mentioned the society as well Yes, men don't like women who bleach their skin but majority would choose a fair skin over a dark skin. |
Romance / Re: When Girls Bleach.. by Beamborla(f): 3:06pm On Oct 09, 2016 |
Originalsly:You mentioned earlier that the society and too many men prefer light skin, now you are saying that they bleach bleach because they think their skin is unattractive to men and light skin would make them more acceptable to a good number of men and the society. Ain't you contradicting yourself. Considering the health implication, yet, 4 out of 10 dark skin ladies bleach their skin, it shows that bleaching their skin actually work for them way beyond what you wrote above. If we want to curb the art of bleaching, I don't think attacking those who engage in the act would solve the problem. We should rather treat the issue from the root... this I however doubt if it can be achieved. |

idu1:'I like light skin girls' this is one of the reasons why ladies bleach. I hope you are aware that bleaching can be so impeccably done that you wouldn't even see any tracer of bleaching. |
Romance / Re: When Girls Bleach.. by Beamborla(f): 2:46pm On Oct 09, 2016 |
Originalsly:Lol...you do agree that our society and too many men go for the fair skin, yet you blame ladies who bleach for wanting to fall in the accepted category? You call it inferiority complex because they just want to met the standard of a good number of the opposite sex and the society? You sir, are not being fair. You mean once a lady bleaches, she's only good as a hooker, stripper, side chick and the rest of them If the society didn't place so much preference over a particular skin color, the need to bleach might not even arise in the first place. |
Romance / Re: When Girls Bleach.. by Beamborla(f): 10:03am On Oct 09, 2016 |
CAPSLOCKED:It's sad! It pains me more that we always refuse to admit it. We insult people who bleach while we drool over fair skin when we are aware that in our part of the world, the god of melanie is highly pleased with us. At least, we should stop castigating people who bleach their skin. They are very much aware of the health implications attached to it yet, majority of ladies are killing the melanie in their skin. Simply means, there is more to it. Beauty in our part of the world is somewhat synonymous to a fair skin even though our words of mouth differs 1 Like 1 Share |

They bleach because black is beautiful only in words and not action. People, society and majority of men have a painful affinity for the fair skin. Acceptance is one of the basic and important pshycological needs of humans which can not be overlooked. 6 Likes 1 Share |
