You list all the Eastern States yet over 70% of their population don't even live in their state. Igbos don't like their state of origin. They're scatttered all over Nigeria. 20% in the North, 50% in the West, 10% in the Middle Belt, and just 20% in their state of origin. Now tell me again, which state is the best to live in?

Religion / Re: Tanker Burns Everything In Sight Except The Car Of A Man From Winners Church by bee444: 9:25pm On Dec 16, 2016
Serving God in spirit and in truth always makes the difference. Now does 'My case is different' or Winner Chapel Church responsible for the survival of this car? That my friend is logical and would need another epistle before my conclusion. But all in all, one should have plain mind towards everyone. That is what God wants from every one of us.

Back to 'My case is Different'. It's one thing to go to a crusade, it's another thing to know who you're going there to meet. People go to crusades and conventions to hear their pastors do the usual self-adulation they always do. But the bible says "those that know their God shall be strong &I do mighty exploit" Daniel 11:32.

Hanna was like many Christians of today, always going to Church and doing routine. No personal relationship with God whatsoever. They only go to hear heir beloveth "M.O.G preach, and off they go home. Until that day when Hanna realized that routine and just going to Church for going sake ain't going to save her. The Bible recorded that she dusted herself up, became determined about God and not the synagogue. She instantly became aware that going to Church alone or listening to the pastor won't save you. On the day God answered her prayers, there was no one in Church. She didn't go there to be seen. She for once in her life had to stop the competition of who wear what on Sundays. She knew what she wanted and had to deal with distractions. She went to the Church the day when there was no service. God was there waiting for her.

Knowing God personally is knowing everything. Don't believe the hype about crusades and any other gathering that has become routines. Look no further but unto Jesus people. He is our perfect example. Sadl, people have replaced the imagery of Jesus with "M.O.G"

Shalom

Nairaland / General / Ghana Has 2 US Embassy..the Real And Fake One! by bee444: 6:03am On Dec 06, 2016
The fake embassy and the real embassy is at the bottom of this post copyright US STATE DEPARTMENT. To the left is the fake embassy and to the right is the real one, in very different neighbourhoods of Accra.

News has travelled the world that an organised gang based in Ghana ran a fake embassy selling real US visas for $6,000 (£4,700) for "about a decade". How did they
get away with it for so long?

The US State Department says Ghanaian and Turkish organised crime rings were running the fake embassy complete with a US flag and a portrait of President Barack Obama "unhindered... for about a decade".
The faded building couldn't have looked more different to the real embassy. But, as journalist Sammy Darko in Accra explained on Focus on Africa, the customers have most probably never been to an embassy before so didn't know what to expect. "They also find white people there and they assume that it is the US embassy," he added.

The fake embassy reportedly had a painting of the US president hanging up on the wall. The State Department's description of the operation gave more insight into how people were deceived. "The fake embassy did not accept walk-in visa appointments; instead, they drove to the most remote parts of West Africa to find customers. They would shuttle the customers to Accra, and rent them a room at a hotel nearby. The Ghanaian organized crime ring would shuttle the victims to and from the fake embassies."
The State Department also said the criminals running the operation were able to pay off corrupt officials "to look the other way".

Have there been any arrests?
Several. That's as much as we know.
The State Department is vague about this, simply saying "when the task force conducted raids, they arrested several suspects".

They said that back on 2 November, and added that "several suspects remain at large".
They added that Ghanaian police have warrants for their arrest and plan to pursue them.
They also said an investigation and search for the Turkish organised crime group was "ongoing".
The BBC understands, over a month later, that this investigation is still continuing.

It appears to have been a big operation, as the State Department says the sham embassy advertised its services across Ghana, Ivory Coast and Togo.
At the raid, officials found 150 passports from 10 countries.

Why are we talking about this now?
According to the time stamp, the State Department published the news of the arrests on 2 November.
The BBC's Thomas Naadi in Ghana's capital, Accra, says the arrests took place a few months earlier than this, in June.

The State Department said an informant tipped off investigators about both the fake US embassy and a fake Dutch embassy at the same time, although it isn't clear when this was. It is a bit of a mystery why it was not picked up by media until 2 December.
Six months after the court case the mainsteam media picked up the story. Three days later, and the media is getting more creative with their headlines. The Washington Post has gone with "Mobsters ran a fake US embassy in Ghana for 10 years, flying the flag and issuing visas for $6,000".

Were the visas genuine?
The State Department said the embassy provided some customers "fraudulently obtained, legitimate US visas" as well as counterfeit visas, false identification documents (including bank records, education records, birth certificates, and others).
It says the operation paid corrupt officials to obtain legitimate blank documents to be doctored.
Visa

This genuine visa shows what the legitimate documents look like. Did the customers care if the embassy was fake? We don't know for sure whether the customers knew if the embassy was fake.
But if they did, they had strong motivations to proceed regardless. Travelling to the US is a big thing for many Ghanaians who are desperate to reach the US as they are convinced it is an opportunity for them to better their lives, explains the BBC's Adelaide Arthur.
Also, being refused a visa can be very disheartening for prospective travellers and this often makes them vulnerable to scammers who promise them a visa, she adds.

How many people used this service?
The State Department has not commented on this.
We also don't know what kind of visas people were buying. We may never know how many people are living in the US with visas issued from the fake embassy.
It is not clear if the US authorities will try and take any action against them.

How does it compare to the official procedure?
The official application has many stages.
When the BBC's Adelaide Arthur, who is Ghanaian, went through the procedure herself, the first stage was to pay a visa fee at the bank. After paying the fee, she was given a code which would allow her to submit a form which she filled in on the US embassy's website. The type of form you fill in depends on your purpose of visit. Her visit was for media, so she applied for a visa Class I. But people applying to visit the US usually choose visa B1/B2.
After filling in the form, she uploaded a passport-sized photograph which had to conform to specific dimensions. She was then allowed to set her interview appointment date which was within two weeks of submitting her application form online.
On the interview day, she arrived at the visa section of the embassy in the upmarket suburb of Cantonments in Accra.
"The imposing building that houses the US embassy is hard to miss when travelling around that area, where a number of missions are also located, including the South African, Italian and South Korean embassies," she said.
She attended the interview with her application submission confirmation, appointment confirmation, passport, visa fee receipt, as well as other supporting documents, including proof of employment and financial support.
Her fingerprints were taken before her interview with
In the genuine US visa application procedure you give your fingerprint
Usually, the applicant is made aware of the decision after the interview with a consular officer.
In her first attempt, she was refused the visa immediately after the interview and was given back her documents. Two subsequent applications were however, successful and she was told to come back two days later for her visa.

Celebrities / Re: Why I Think There Is More To The Seun Egbegbe Story by bee444: 2:21am On Nov 27, 2016
This is my own take on this issue..

1. Seun doesn't own a store or known for selling phones, why trying to buy 9 iPhones?

2. He was apprehended trying to flee in a taxi. That taxi Taxi was an accessory to robbery. Seun owns lots of cars, why chatter a Taxi to buy phones?

3. Seun's car would have been easily identified had he brought the car to the store, hence, using a taxi?

4. 2 other passengers were seen in the taxi, why leave close to #3Million in a taxi with strangers?

5. If the passengers seen in the taxi were Seun's friend , they would have gone together to the store with Seun?

6. If Seun truly had those money in the taxi, he would have said to the attendant to come with him to the taxi?

7. Who is Seun Egbegbe, and what has he contributed to the society (minus those people he gives money here and there which many people with money do same) that would make someone to try to set him up?

8. No money was found on Seun, and he couldn't provide reason for not having money on him?

9. Illusionists do have power to make you lose your mind for few seconds.. frausters do this every time. You only come to the realization after the deed has been done. Seun might have used this on the shop assistant?

And finally

10. Why deny police have settled the matter when in fact you were arraigned before a Magistrates court and charged with one count of theft?

Just my own run down

You telling me shut up? Such moral degradation is a reason why someone like would get killed soon. Where I have been, lived or sojourn has no narrative whatsoever on the issue at hand. People that are well educated and in the know don't have to be everywhere to know what's happening in other places. And because you're ignorant, ill-brought up and lack the moral decency to respect your elders, I won't tell you where I live for privacy reasons. I might at some point while I typed. Catch up with me on other threads.

Your children (if you have one) sings racism songs at school every day and you think they're learning. Most nursery rhymes are written to mock and degrade black people which unfortunately, our people are still allowing their kids to sing. All boil down to lack of knowledge.

I lived in the U.K. and Ireland for 12 years, emigrated to US later. Lived in Canada, Holland, Paris, and all. I'm well rounded, and I can proudly, but not boastful that I am a citizen of the world.

So, next time you wanna come at someone for airing their knowledgeable views on social platforms, do your research of such person thoroughly before you make a fool of yourself, like you just did.

To tell you the truth,
Someone should buy a brand new used brain for that illiterate little girl

This is 2016 and not 1934

There are no challenges being black
Racism is also dead

How would you be racist towards a black person ??
Rap music killed racism, now everyone uses the word "Nigga"
Even white people now call themselves"nigga"

You can shop in any store even if you are black, yellow or green, you can sit in the same bus with anyone

If you come to the southern USA like Alabama or Mississippi that was home to racism, everything have changed

Reading your post, I almost puke. You are ignorant, lack moral judgement, devoid of truth and certainly never know you've been abused and discriminated against.

Racism is very much prevalent this 2016 than it was years ago. Every decision by the govt, institutions and industries are often weighed upon race and gain. Have you ever as a black person been to a shopping mall and asked by an attendant if you need any assistant? Well, it was meant to be the other way round. You see, any time you go out shopping and you see an assistant come to the aisle that you are and asked if you need any help, you're technically being discriminated against because of your Colour. Shop assistant are advised and taught to wait until they are called upon by shoppers before they approach.

Police favours white 10x more than blacks. They de-escalate situations when it involves their white counterparts. Thy aggressively and impatiently react to blacks when blacks exercise their rights just as any white person would do. But as a black person, you're forbidden to act FREE. You still viewed as slaves and baboons.

Racism in Ireland, UK and and France are very subtle, hidden, but rampant and prevalent. It's hidden in institutions like banks and work place. Researches found out that blacks find it more difficult to gain promotions in these countries because of institutionalize racism. I tell you this, if any white person commend you or compliment you for either dressing nice, talking good or having a nice car, you're being violated of your individualism. First of all, they hate your gut, and complimenting you is just a way of trying to intimidate you.

People are dying for no apparent reason in America in the hands of cops. Can you justify that? Freddie Gray, Trevon Martin and all those killed recently were products of racism and bias institutions targeting people of colour. Same thing applies to U.K. And Ireland where hidden racism is rampant and on the rise.

In the US, the media sell what people want to listen to or see. They paint black people as aggressive, gangsters, on social welfare and violent. 2016 FBI statistics concluded that 98% of crimes committed against black people are from black people(black on black crime), while 83% of same crime are white on white. Judging by population, white people commit more crime on their own than black people. Black are only 10% of the population, while white people account for 85%. But you won't see the media hammering on the white on white crimes because it doesn't sell.

All you see, read and hear in the news are some sort of new world order. A propaganda that's meant to take your eyes away from real happenings around you. I have lots to say, but will continue in due course.

I have these people I used to call friends. Very judgemental, won't help people in need, no human feelings, stingy but makes a lot of money. One thing they do so well is to always remind you of Sunday service or any "special" program in their Church.

You then begin to wonder, if you love going to Church this much, but not doing the Christ-like things, how then do we measure your beliefs? Church going is good, but always be aware of when it turns into religion. Church is becoming very predictable. Now a place where fashion is celebrated. Where who pays what gets the biggest prayer. Where prayers are sold to the highest bidder. Where before "tithe and offering" time, fear is instilled into the hearts of the congregation by the reading of some unnecessary verses of scriptures.

Church goers or coerced congregations as I call them, would rather they give tithe than help the brother in need. It's not their fault either. Pastors reads out threatening passages from the scriptures and the gullibles followed suit. At the end, pastors would say " we don't force people to give us money". And you know what, technically they're right. But intellectually, indirectly and knowingly, they cajoled the congregation by putting fear in their minds to pay up. That's called stealing by nature.

I've seen so many of this stuff on the Internet. Rather than stating the country the guys comes from, his tribe always comes first. So much for patriotism. A tribe that favours personal acquisition to the detriment of its entire populace and kingsmen is a danger to itself. Igbos are architect of their own subliminal decimation misfortune. You can't blame someone else for addressing you in a manner you unwittingly accepted.

When it comes to culture, the Yorubas thrive uncomprosingly unapologetically. Same thing the Fulanis and Hausas. My Igbo people on the other hand would rather you give them business than tell them to observe one yeye culture. The Delta-Igbos are also to blame. They sit on the fence.. Part of them yearn for Igbos and part for Yoruba. They are confused people.

All in all, whether you're Igbo, Yoruba, Fulani or Hausa, we should all learn to live forget in harmony and peace. Seceding thought only brings segregation, produces fear and divide everyone.

Welcome to harassment and discrimination. If she's got someone in her group who really likes her, then she'd be protected. Depending on what she sign up for, she might never see a battle field.

And if she's joining in order to acquire citizenship, she should be ready for disappointment. Thousands of Mexicans and Africans have seen dejection and rejection when it's time to apply for citizenship. But because she always excel, and believes in herself, lines will fall in pleasant places for her.

I don't know about you guys, but I do believe the boy should be left alone. Your attitude, behaviour and the relationship you have with God would go a long way convincing that boy about Gods existence and beauty.

Christians behaviour stinks sometime. You're always quick to introduce someone to Church but very reluctant to go the extra mile of meeting the needs of that same person. You see a brother in Church whose dressing is below par, and his shoe is shouting hallelujah, you'd just close your eyes and went ahead donating that tithe and offering to the Church. The guy right there is the Church. Give him the tithe and offering.

Now, going back to the six year old. It's always the sweetest thing when God makes Himself known unto you personally. You become more convinced and your belief in Him will never faint. Same thing happened to. I used to be a sceptic, questioning everything God. But God came to me and taught me love and eternal life. Since then, no matter how difficult the situation I find myself, my trust in God never waiver.

And as long as the boy is surrounded by true Christians who live by what they preach, the boy will in no doubt emulate such people. So, don't force him. Let him be a free thinker for now. Let him learn. He will surely come around. Amen
