CrimeSam Sodje Arrested In The Uk Over Match Fixing (caught On Camera) by bee444(op): 8:03pm On Dec 08, 2013
Sam Sodje was filmed by the Sun on Sunday describing how he punched an opponent in a League One game to get a red card in exchange for £70,000. He also said he arranged for another player to be paid £30,000 for getting a yellow card in a Championship match. Portsmouth Football Club said it was "shocked and saddened" by the claims.

The three people being held have not been named. In the video, which was filmed secretly, Mr Sodje also claimed he could rig Premier League games and was prepared to fix matches at next year's World Cup. In a statement from Portsmouth Football Club, spokesman Colin Farmery said: "If these serious allegations are true then we are extremely shocked and saddened by them, as match-fixing of any type goes to the heart of the integrity of the game. "The player in question no longer plays for the club and we have not been contacted by the authorities, but of course we would co-operate fully with any inquiry."

Mr Sodje was sent off in the 50th minute of a League One match while playing for Portsmouth against Oldham Athletic on 23 February.

By any standards, it was a bizarre incident. In a game against Oldham last season, Sam Sodje twice lashed out at another player - once in the midriff, and a second time even lower than that. Not surprisingly, he got a red card. Now Sodje has told the Sun on Sunday he was paid £70,000 to get that red card. Today the Portsmouth manager at the time, Guy Whittingham, told the BBC that nobody could fathom out why he did what he did.

This is the second football-related investigation being carried out by the National Crime Agency. The first involves Conference football - a much lower level of the game. This is potentially a much more serious investigation involving Championship and League One matches - the second and third tiers of football in England. The Sun on Sunday also reported that an Oldham player, Cristian Montano, apologised to Mr Sodje after failing to get a yellow card in the first half of a match against Wolves on 22 October.

And it reported that Mr Sodje's brother Akpo, a striker at Tranmere Rovers, had said he would be prepared to be paid to be booked. Oldham Athletic said in a statement: "Oldham Athletic Football Club has been made aware of the incident and allegation surrounding one of its players, Cristian Montano. The club will commence an immediate internal investigation to establish all the relevant facts of the case.

"The club is co-operating with other agencies in this matter and cannot comment on specific facts at this stage. The club will not be issuing any further statements at this time."

Tranmere Rovers FC said: "Tranmere Rovers Football Club are aware of Sunday newspaper allegations regarding Akpo Sodje. As this is an ongoing investigation the club will make no further comment at this time."

The National Crime Agency, which is investigating the claims, said: "An active investigation is now under way and we are working closely with the Football Association and the Gambling Commission."

Betting syndicate; The Football League said it took claims of criminal activity "extremely seriously" and would assist police.

Football League chief executive Shaun Harvey encouraged anyone with any evidence to report it to the police.

Mr Harvey added: "We treat any allegations of criminal activity in our competitions with the utmost seriousness.

"We will be giving our full assistance to the police during their investigation."

Ex-Portsmouth manager Guy Whittingham said "you cannot fathom out why he has done it"
The Gambling Commission and the Football Association both said they were aware of the investigation and were working with the NCA.

Guy Whittingham, who was manager of Portsmouth at the time, said the claims brought back memories of the match in which Sam Sodje was sent off.

He said: "Sam came racing over - and I didn't actually see the incident at the time itself - but then you see it in the cold light of day afterwards and you see what he's done and you can't fathom out why he's done it."

Former Oldham player and manager Andy Ritchie told BBC News he was "dismayed" at the allegations.

He said: "They are only allegations at the moment but if you're sent off in a game you're letting your players down, you're letting the team down because more often than not 10 men lose a game of football.

"If you're in a tough situation, maybe a relegation dogfight, you could lose those three points - that could cost you a place in that league."

In a separate NCA investigation into an alleged international betting syndicate, two non-league footballers were earlier this week charged with conspiracy to defraud.

Michael Boateng and Hakeem Adelakun, both 22, play for Whitehawk FC, based in Brighton, in the Conference South.

Two other men, Singapore national Chann Sankaran, 33, and Krishna Sanjey Ganeshan, 43, who has dual UK and Singapore nationality, were charged with conspiracy to defraud in November.

The pair have been bailed and are due to appear at Birmingham Magistrates' Court on 11 December.

RomanceRe: Help! I Always Attract Men That Want Just Sex! by bee444: 12:43am On Dec 02, 2013
@op, to be honest with you, 99.9% of men out there just want sex and silence. If sex were to be sold in cans, men would have no use of women. Dressing provocatively or being beautiful has nothing to do with men wanting to bleep you. Men are simply bleepers; they can bleep anything that has breath.

And for the men you said are after your thing, they are either married or have someone special than you are.
Christianity EtcRe: Is It Good For A Muslim Lady To Marry A Christian by bee444: 8:26pm On Nov 29, 2013
it's all about Muslims today! OK, I'm available....

Maybe the question should sound like this "Is it good for a woman to marry a man?" This is an hypothetical question that doesn't need your answer! Why don't you just go ahead and marry a human being rather than putting religion as the title of the man?

Religion is a cankerworm that deprives us of our God given love and freedom.
IslamRe: Is Islam The Most Discriminated Religion In The World? by bee444: 4:01pm On Nov 29, 2013
Islam is not being discriminated against, but Islam is discriminatory on itself. Always citing Muslim population when trivial issue arise depict the shallowness of those observers. And saying only few groups or Muslims are responsible for the worlds terrorism is a slap on the victims of these violence.

Whatever you call it, there's no other name for violence than violence itself. Islam is a submissive religion, submissive to the will of Allah... Killings of infidels is a clear instruction and must be followed to the detailed. The emphasis "Islam is a religion of peace" makes a mockery of this religion... Because it is not... Well, clearly to those without ( non-Muslims).

When a sect or religion uses violence or force in order to convert people or make its voice heard, then that's a dangerous religion. Terrorism in Islam is not only done to non-Muslims but to Muslims as well. Go to Pakistan, Kabul, Baghdad and the rest of the deserts countries, you'll see how Muslims are killing one another.

No justification of this kind of behaviour is moral. And saying you are being discriminated against is an overstatement. You should be happy that its only discrimination you're getting!!!

farem: In the begining was the Word, the Word was with God and the Word was God...the Word became flesh (human) and dwelt among us... John 1:1, 14.
Believe me that I am in the Father, and the Father in me: or else believe me for the very works sake.
John 14:11
"I and my Father are one" and the expected response of people like you happened! It's still happening till now. Read further: "Then the Jews took up stones to stone him"
John 10:30,31. Kindly read verses 34-35 for the Lord's report.
WE ARE NOT MAKING UP, WHEN JESUS IS TAUGHT AS GOD. EVIDENCES ABOUND IN THE SCRIPTURES. God bless you.
Regardless of your quotes, only Jesus's responses to issues matters most. When he said "I and the father are one", he literally means there is God and there is Jesus but you can still get your request through any of us.

Conjunction is vital, wherever and whenever you see the conjunction "AND", two things is being spoken about and not one. Jesus never called himself God. And there is nothing like God the father, God the son, and God the holy spirit. But there is God, the father of all, Jesus and the Holy Spirit

BabaTony: Who is HE then?
You guys have been educated more than enough to know the difference between Jesus AND God. A Father is different from the son, though they live in the same house and have same DNA. Likewise a phone and a sim card are two different things, though they need each other to function properly.

A phone can still operate independently without a sim card, likewise God without Jesus. But not the other way round (Jesus cannot operate without God, but God can)

FamilyRe: Why Are Married Men Never Contented With Their Wives? by bee444: 1:53pm On Oct 14, 2013
Consider this: What happens to clothing you wear every now and then? Simply, it gets worn out!!!
'Women are like clothes in the market place', when you have money, you go and pick a new one.

Having said that, I think it is silly for any man to chase women about whilst having a woman at home. The above excuse was drafted in a book I read long time ago. Though it's never easy for any man to be faithful with their wives, but thinking about how much your wife loves you would make you think twice before cheating on her.

Ngwakwe: I wish Ashiwaju Tinubu a speedy recovery and long life.

We Nigerians owe him gratitude for being a founding father of an alternative capable party that is ready to either make PDP sit-up and become accountable or be relegated to the opposition in the next election.

I pray he comes back healthy and firing.
We owe him nothing! Instead, he owes us a lot. All our embezzled money he and his wife looted. He's also a corrupt leader and a gang leader.

Nigeria is still in a mess caused by all these miscreants. And as long as they keep making our lives miserable, the corrupt ones among them will be struck one by one with this Parkinson disease.

Christianity EtcRe: Can You Be A Christian And Still Be Gay? by bee444: 5:58pm On Sep 03, 2013
jidegirl12: Thank you very much for this.

Honestly it's exhausting and there's absolutely no point trying to educate people most especially Nigerians about homosexuality ...the country is apparently still underdeveloped and still wallow in its ignorance, for a country with soo much potentials that was founded since what year now ?? and to still be in the third world rank with its citizens beats me and its very very sad.
What annoy me most are some people who placed themselves on pedestal and cast the first stone as they deem.

I watched Lisa Ling on OWN .. Alan chambers of the Exodus International ( church) where a Reparative therapy is done to change Gays to straight ( deliverance session ) ... These poor young men who are grade A believer than any yeye Naija fake pastor , struggled for years and decades with no avail and never changed... Some are still there struggling , crying, day and night to God and still waiting for that miracle for a change.

Have I witnessed how they struggle , thrown out of churches they grew up in for decades as a result of this ? Absolutely.

I've studied and be educated about this orientation and I've concluded to accept and embrace them for who they are.

But whether you accept them or not, something is very clear to ALL of us:

As long as Nobody and I mean NOONE hasn't been to heaven or HELL and came back with a testimony YET ... Then WE are ALL in for the same Haul.

Let God ONLY be the judge of what is Good or Bad.

So Yes Hez you can be a Christian and Still be Gay Period!!
This is the only place where Boko Haram and the rest of the Arab world would be justified when it comes to Western education. So you want to educate Nigerians on homosexuality, abi? What sort of education would that be? Who would blame Boko Haram for rejecting your so-called education? It profited nothing on the basis of morality.

It used to be modest dressing in Africa. Now what do we have; our girls going unclad on the street; Nollywood copycatting Hollywood on sexual scene; lawmakers lobbying for legalization of infant and gay marriage; Fashola deporting own citizen based on some Texas law; Churches springing up everywhere based on white-man idea, Social sites collecting information of every one for govt purposes, and the rest goes on and on.

Now, tell me, what education are you really talking about here? Do you want to teach me Physics, ooh maybe quantum physics, what about sex education or even sociology of life. I might even tell you more; the psychiatric theory of Homosexuality assert that homosexuality is a regression of the earliest. And maybe you haven't heard of Sexually antagonistic selection.

Homosexuality is a condition viewed as a effect of female evolution. And anything that doesn't lead to reproduction dies a natural death!

Yes we are underdeveloped as a nation, and yes education is still needed in some larger part of the country, but what we have is common sense and morality. The norms and teachings of our heroes past shall never be in vain.
Christianity EtcRe: Can You Be A Christian And Still Be Gay? by bee444: 1:28am On Sep 03, 2013
Jen2l: Being gay is not a sin. Having gay sex is. As is having premarital sex.
We have devoted gay christians, who hav decided to put away their sexuality and serve God wholly.
Sm guys here with 10 gfs n never spent a day without sex be spewing hate on gays. There are gay guys who had never used their pen1s once, because they are afraid to sin. Now tell me why God would rage on them. There were born that way, He made them that way. If it's a mistake, it's His.
Live ur own life, this heaven race is a personal affair. And u re never gonne score an xtra mark by condemning gays, helping God do his work.
Now, you want to teach us philosophy, abi? Being gay totally means you're having gay sex. What part of this simple logic don't you understand? A lesbian is called so because she has had lesbian affair. A man is called gay because he's sleeping with a man. Stop trying to sound silly.

Now, no one is born gay and no man is born a criminal. The police and the prosecution services have for far too long deceived millions that some people are born criminal.

Research and evidence of my assertion to this fact has been inconclusive since the emergence of this cankerworm. Scientists, criminologists, psychologists and sociologists have failed to see the correlation between birth and being gay.

Neil Christie attributes being gay to environmental factor, social withdrawal, rejection and unexpected relationship breakdown between two lovers (M&F), loneliness, bully, the type of school you go to (boys or girls only), peer pressure and the fear of loosing someone that special.

Christie's assertion makes sense to me than the rest of these "new comers" researchers who themselves are gay.

Voltaire & Rousseau (1700) asserted that: free will, hedonistic decision making, the failure of the social contract and not adhering to moral values is what is producing this type of behaviour.

So, as you see, there are biological, sociological, psychological and socio-bilogical explanation of why people are becoming gay.
Christianity EtcRe: Can One Go A Day Without Sinning? by bee444: 3:33pm On Aug 25, 2013
FrostyZonn: Not really. Sooner or later, you are bound to think an unholy thought, even if you kept mute, and stayed out of everyones way.

Humans are susceptible beings.
Thinking an unholy thought is not a sin as long as the act is not committed. You can go all day without sinning. Getting angry is not a sin either, but you must calm down soon after.

What you must avoid... sex (if you not married), lie, and cursing.

Jesus thought an unholy thought when he wanted to commit suicide by jumping from the cliff. Yet, the Bible calls him a man without no sin.

"...out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh" . So whatever evil we think in our heart does not matter as long as we subject those evil by the power of God.

Remember this verse..."there's no temptation that's taken you, but such that's common to men..?

God knows you'll think evil, but your reaction to that thought is what He's after. Conclusion of that passage says... but God is faithful who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able" Halleluyah somebody!!!

We believe by heart and not by sight.

Not to Pentecostal or new generation Churches you know.... they give to charity organizations that takes care of the needy. That#s all we need as people.

When Nigerian Pastors preach about giving, they attribute it to church giving alone.
