PHONE CALLS: This guy, whenever i am giving him lift, he would always pull out his phone, dial and speak with contact A. After he is done with contact A, he would dial contact B. After contact B, contact C it is. The guy will never allow me to listen to my music. Before you know it, the journey dont end be dat. Even when i leave the radio volume as it were before his phone call madness starts, he would reach out himself to turn down the radio volume. This is the one that really pisses me off. How dare you touch my radio you fool! Why would my car become a phone booth for him, I would wonder? Why cant a passenger a allow a driver that owns his/her car enjoys his goddamn music? Cant the calls wait till he get's the HELL out off my car? This is a private car for crying out loud, and not some mobile phone booth. Very upsetting!

Are you a cab driver? If not, your friend should be able to touch your radio irrespective of you not liking it. I think you're intolerable and lack patience and love. Pls don't call this diplomacy because it is not.

What do these people have in common; Bill Gate, Warren Buffet, Dangote, Abiola, Prince of Dubai, King of Saudi and lots. They are the wealthiest people on earth, yet tithe is not their friend. You give offering to God and tithe to the needy. Offering is very necessary while tithe is not. Abraham paid tithe without being asked to do it. Tithe is voluntarily while offering is not.

"Bring ye all the tithe into the storehouse that there might be meat" means give your 10% to those who doesn't have. It also means give that brother or sister sitting beside you who doesn't have a tenth of your earnings. It is not mandatory but voluntarily. BTW, Jesus never paid tithe, but offering.

You're silly for vomiting the above statement. Income must be earned and required expertise. Monetary gifts are not counted as income but mere gift. Pastors taking tithe from children under the working age are distorting the Bible and fraudulently manipulating those kids.

Other income apart from salary are:

*income from your savings before tax is taken off
*investments, such as company dividends
pensions
*income from property
*income from trusts, settlements and estates
*foreign income
*notional income, for example, where income is available to you but you have not taken it

Ameboperoo: The only issue with this case is if all these people r truely armed robbers and not victimised. If they're beyond reasonable doubt armed robbers then they should have been burned slowly so that they die slow and very painful death. Can u imagine a friend who just came back 2 Nigeria to see his new baby 4 the 1st time was stopped on the road and after being robbed, they were asked to lie faced down on the high way till a luxury bus came and clear them. If u're the wife or baby, what will u wish 4 them? That they should be handed to police and after some days u see them back in the street?

I understand this scenario perfectly. No one wished that there loved ones would die in the hands of these barbaric robbers. And to be candid, armed robbers are vicious and callous being, but don't you think that killing them ourselves tends to make us have blood in our hands? This matter is a very complicated one and needs thorough thinking on the way forward.

COOLDUN: All the sympathizers of armed robbers and the western system preachers on the nairaland should know one thing. Nigerians have suffered a lot in the hands of criminals; one thing armed robber in Nigeria should know is that the wages of sin is death. Sympathizing with the armed robbers is sin itself because it is an indirect way of encouraging the living ones.

This kind of judgment has been in existence in Nigeria for a very long time, and every criminal in Nigeria knows this in his /her mind. They are not sympathizers but just stating the fact. Armed robbers aren't meant to be pitied, but going as far as burning them alive without due process is a crime on its own.

I was born into a Muslim home but had this feeling and conviction about Christianity. I attended the Muslim school and prayed five times a day. Most of my friends were Christians and I love hanging out with them.

My father was a Muslim but loved reading the Bible, like-wise my mum. I then saw this Christian book and started reading it. What I saw immediately convinced me that I was practicing the wrong faith. I then started comparing and contrasting both books (Bible & Quran), mehn, they aren't the same!

Few days later, I saw this beautiful and blessed lady passing through my house, I approached her, told her I like her and walked with her to where she was going. She then invited me over to her Church where I met with her Pastor, the rest is my story.

Going through most @justwise posts on immigration I've realized that this guy is nothing but a lil devil incarnate and unmentionable. I believe you're dull of hearing, when does mentioning something now becomes a valid proof of evidence? Jesus never commanded his followers to pay tithe (tithe is not a pre-requisite to obtaining blessing or favour from God). However, In Mat 23:23 Jesus was very selective and only attributed that text of scripture to the hypocrites who professed to be self-righteous. It was an ironic statement aimed at rebuking a bad deed.

Its just like saying " I washed daddy's dirty dishes and left out mum's", the commentator is gonna say, "why don't you wash mum's as well so that you may receive more blessing, you shouldn't have left out mum's, you hypocrite". * What Jesus was saying in that passage of scripture was that we should stop being religious and start acting the faith. Give to those that are hungry instead of praying for food for them. Help those that needs help instead of using religion or prayer to send them away.

Christians are very stingy and would rather give to the Church (with the commandment of their Pastors) than help their neighbours.

It's my opinion that your cousin should see a therapist. All this talk I'm reading about spiritual this and spiritual that is rubbish. The guy has gone through something that's left him feeling deep hatred towards himself and ashamed, and he doesn't know how to deal with it. It isn't something that he can ignore or somehow "pray away" because it's a battle between him and his sub-conscious.
