Good day nairalander,

I am a popular jingo nairalander but got to hide under this moniker...


I have been dating my fiancee for the past 7 years, she had met my parents and I have met her's many times . We planned to get married earlier year. But it was the year my mother left this planet, I informed my family I wanted to get married but they declined, saying, it must be over years of mumsy's demise before I can marry.


We've fixed introduction days 3ice and it got cancelled by my father, what's his reason?


1. NYSC: I was posted to serve in the Northern part of the country 3 years ago, I went to camp, but I couldn't cope with the weather and couldn't leave my business as NYSC won't guarantee me job and I don't have other option. I absconded from the service and faced my business which I saved profits in 7 digits in same year, God made me comfortable.

2: He said I should rather impregnate the girl (backdoor talk)



I am close to my late 20s, he already banned all family members as many depend on him from attending my introduction.

He cancelled my introduction without fixing a new date.

My in-law trust me and ready to release the lady to me as I haven't had sex with her since 2012 that we've been dating...


And Also, God had supplied all I needed for my wedding from A-Z.



Do you think this is a cogent reason?. I want to ahead with my wedding plans...

While I agree with the people saying we need parental blessings, what happens to those who have ungodly parents that will turn their life into a living hell? At the end of the day, your dad married & has lived his life but wants to ruin yours.You are the one getting married & not him.You’ll live with the girl & not him.How long do you think your in-laws will keep their daughter on hold for marriage just for you if there’s no progress?If all other ways of getting through to your dad have failed, I’d suggest you try having your pastor talk with him.Do you have uncles or aunts from your mom’s side who don’t depend on him? Then let them sit in for you in place of your parents.If everything else fails, please seek your uncles & Aunts & grandparents blessings together with your pastor & go ahead with the wedding.You cannot stop living because of somebody.I believe as scripture says that “ curses are like flying birds.They cannot hurt us unless we deserve them.” In the meantime, keep praying & fast like Daniel whose answer had been released day one when he prayed but the prince of Persia was opposing.Pray against every opposition.

In her narration, she explained that he relative called her to inform her of a plot of land available for sale, which she agreed to buy and then sent her the money.

It was after the family member received the money, that stories upon stories now began to drip in. And now other members of the family want the matter settled amicably.

I said OK oya pay the money back naa she said I should wait that she have SEEN another land. I agreed o cos I wanted to buy another land, fence it and forget it for like 5-10years. Anyway, everyday she kept coming up with different excuses that the one

She saw, they are having family issues, another she saw the husband agreed but the wife said no. Another one she saw it’s deep in the forest. Only for me to get a call from my mom today telling me how She used some of the money to pay her kids’ waec/Jamb,medical

Bills then the rest she used it to pay off debtors, feed and start something for herself. I then asked my mom why didn’t she send the money back then ask for help? What nonsense? Hung up on my mom, called the woman back and told her if she doesn’t send the money by Month end

Both her, her husband and the kid writing WAEC will be arrested and transferred to a state Only i will know of. Next thing my parents and uncles are calling my phone and asking me to come back so we can settle it as a family? I told them if I’m traveling back it will be To get her and her family arrested. Now everyone is saying I’m OVERREACTING?

My anger is still boiling and I probably might do worse if I don’t see my money by month end. The most annoying part is that she HUNG UP on me when i was telling her i will get her arrested?

Same thing happening in my family right now.Couple of years ago, my Aunt called my mom & told her about some plots of land for sale. My Aunt said they were selling @ 18,000 USD. My mom didn’t even tell my dad.I was the only person she told.She quickly sent the money through two girls who were traveling home.After a while, the story changed.Aunt told mom that she didn’t make the purchase because someone said that she was about to be conned.My mom wouldn’t have thought anything of it coz her sister had a nice job. Over these years, my Aunt was always vacationing with her kids outside the country.Few years ago, she decided to go on early retirement.All efforts from mom in an attempt to get her money back, have proved futile.It’s been one story to another.Yet she Aunt is still living in an expensive neighborhood & her life is going on well. Mom will be taking the matter before the family this August & if that fails, then she’ll have to take a legal action.Moral of the story .is that you should trust nobody even your own sibling.If you are gonna give money that’s a big amount in your standards, Have a written agreement & witnesses, Incase things turn sour later.

It is beginning to bothered me as I can't sleep all night long. latest I sleep is 9-10-11 PM and woke u 2-3 AM. and open eyes till morning.

I notice I'm reducing in weight and forgetful, especially remembering spellings. I am suspecting its the beer I'm drinking that is cause the sugar increase that is responsible.
