PoliticsRe: Why Are Government Officials Womanizers? by beknown(m): 4:19pm On Jul 24, 2009
There is no true opposition party in Nigeria.

In fact, I wonder why the media are not reporting all these women-crazy people in government. If the news media engage in real investigative journalism and expose some of these crooks, they will stop their foolish behaviour.

Well, the media men maybe the same as the government officials in womanizing. Who will report who?

Spread the word, I fully support re-colonisation. sad
PoliticsRe: Is It Time To Invite Our Colonial Masters To Return? by beknown(m): 3:55pm On Jul 23, 2009
The children of our political leaders are away in foreign colleges and universities. Nigeria leaders are not concerned about the life of children in the society.

As a result of strike actions, three years degree course will become six years. That shows backwardness.

Our children in Nigeria are only surviving as a result of the grace of God.

Imagine a situation where there are:
No decent school
No good road
No electricity
No security
No pipe borne water
etc

Haba, too much problem.

If our leaders have headache, they will travel abroad for treatment. Where does the poor Nigerian go to treat him/her self?

What have we done to our own leaders in Nigeria to deserve the punishment they are giving to us?
PoliticsRe: Is It Time To Invite Our Colonial Masters To Return? by beknown(m): 3:40pm On Jul 23, 2009
It is very easy for any thoughtful Nigerian to suggest re-colonisation. This suggestion is supported in many quarters because the current situation in Nigeria was no present during the colonial period and immediately after 1960.

Some people know that in the 1970s, the British and Americans want Nigerians to stay in their country after they have studied in their country. Nigerians never want to stay in UK or USA or any other country. Most Nigerian students return home immediately after their examinations and graduation. When they return home, good jobs are waiting for them with nice remunerations.

The situation today is different. I do not blame somebody who suggest re-colonisation. At least, our children will still go to school. Now, all schools (primary, secondary and tertiary including universities) are on strike. What future will that give us and our children?
PoliticsRe: N180,000 Tuition Fees For Nigerian Universities by beknown(m): 3:16pm On Jul 23, 2009
This is the evidence of a country that has failed totally.

There is nothing wrong with paying fees but when the fees is exorbitant and extortionate it becomes a matter of foolishness.

The difference between the current fee and the proposed fee is too huge to quantify. Depending on the university, the proposed fee is more than six times the current fee - that is at least 600% higher than the current fee.

How can the FG be so foolish to even think about students in this way?

Is this the best we can expect from Nigeria leadership?

NIGERIA is a failed country.
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Is There Discrimination Against Part Time Graduates? I Need To Know by beknown(m): 1:24pm On Jul 20, 2009
Employers who discriminate against part-time graduates are not worth to be called employers in the real sense of the word.

Good employers know that the world does not stand still. unlike Nigeria, development is at a fast pace all over the world. Advancement means that the methods of study (full time, part time and distance learning) is irrelevant.

Universities and colleges abroad attach the same recognition to their own qualifications regardless of the method of study. Also, employers abroad give the same recognition to qualifications regardless of the method of study.

It is very sad that real advancement is lacking in many facets of Nigeria society.
PoliticsRe: Do You Believe In Free Healthcare For All Nigerians? by beknown(m): 2:06pm On Jul 15, 2009
FREE Healthcare for all is a very good idea. In the scandinavian countries, their tax is very high for working people, no escaping tax.

The problem I have with free things is that nobody want to pay for it.

If healthcare is totally free, who will pay for it?

In Nigeria, many taxable people avoid paying tax.

The oil money in Nigeria is not enough to provide free healthcare for all. Let us be realistic about free things for everybody.

I support free healthcare for: pregnant women, children under 18, pensioners and the officially jobless people. This means that employed people must be ready to pay tax to support the healthcare system in Nigeria.

Excellent record keeping of everybody must be done by the FG for any success.
PoliticsRe: What Is The Plan Of Nigeria Youths For 2011 Election? by beknown(op): 1:55pm On Jul 15, 2009
I still don't know how other Nigeria youths are preparing for the Election 2011.

Are Nigeria youths waiting for it to just happen without their own involvement?

How can the Nigeria youth complain of bad government if they fail to show in the election?

To show for election 2011, it has to start now.

Let us be tired of the old politicians, old brigade and old army generals who keep recycling themselves. It will take the Nigeria youth to make a difference and remove the country from decay.

Barak Obama did not sit down for everything to happen by chance.
PoliticsWhat Is The Plan Of Nigeria Youths For 2011 Election? by beknown(op): 6:07pm On Jul 14, 2009
The youths in Nigeria, especially students, have seen the experience of bad leadership in our country. University students in Nigeria know the consequence of voting for the wrong people.

YOUTHS LET YOUR VOTE COUNT - YOU CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE - AVOID BEING A THUG.

Political thugs benefit the politicians and their selfish interest.

Nigeria youths must say 'NO' to thuggery - Enough is enough, we have suffered enough.

Nigeria youths are not political thugs. Do not let yourself to be used by politicians to attain their selfish interest.
PoliticsRe: Uk To Build N300m Prison In Nigeria ! by beknown(m): 5:43pm On Jul 14, 2009
Fellow Nigerians,

Do not be deceived by seemingly kind gestures from the UK government. The UK are only helping themselves to decongest their own prison system to cut their own cost. They do not really have Nigeria at heart.

Let the Nigerian authorities beware of this scam. Of course, some Nigeria officials can easily pocket some money and sign the papers.

If the UK really like Nigeria sooo much, why can they not channel the money to fund one laudable project in Nigeria.
PoliticsRe: Uproar As Senate Cuts Education, Health Budgets To Fund N25 Billion Abuja Road by beknown(m): 5:28pm On Jul 14, 2009
I wonder what Abuja would become while other states languish in pain, neglect and poverty.

The government has failed to diversify the Nigeria economy and the result is that everyone is depending on oil money.

The same principle is happening in Abuja. After Abuja, development in other states is non-existent. Every jobseeker want to go to Abuja. If only the government will spread development to other parts of the country, there will be no need for everyone wanting to come to Abuja for better life.

Why should the government develop other parts of the country? It is a calculated attempt to make some people really really poor so that they will become beggars and never become rich. The government do not really want to develop everywhere. How can we differentiate the rich and famous from the common people?

Let the rich be in Abuja and others stay away.
PoliticsRe: Why Is The Federal Govt Killing Tinapa? by beknown(m): 5:12pm On Jul 14, 2009
The Federal Govt is killing Tinapa because there is no huge money to be made for private pocket. The Oga in the office want his own kola before he sign anything.

Tinapa, who cares. Oga is more interested in sending his children away to foreign land for school. And if he has headache, he can send himself to foreign hospital.

That's it.

CareerRe: Should I Quit My Programming Job? (Can't Cope) by beknown(m): 2:38pm On Jul 07, 2009
Persist,

You cannot continue to hide your lack of skill in programming. As a Physics graduate, there is a wide difference between Physics and Programming. It will be better if you quit this job for your peace and sanity. I know you are having sleepless nights about your current job. If you quit, you will be doing your employer a favour big time. Your employer needs to move forward. Good intensive training will help you but you must be serious.

I am a Software Developer here in London. I know your predicament and you cannot hide from it for too long.

Get another job or get correct Programming training online and intensive coaching from Remedial Courses. You will spend some money on Remedial courses - it is not free. You must be serious about learning because Programming is the most complex part of Computer Science. In fact some Nigeria graduates in Computer Science do not know Programming and I am not surprise that many of them cannot find work.

In the UK, Nigeria graduates in Computer Science are enrolling for another undergraduate course in Computer Science to help them meet up with their technical capability e.g. Programming.

The Holy Spirit can help if you know him and you have made the effort to help yourself.

@abuja11

Although you have provided some useful information in this forum, you have not provided any response to a very crucial point.

How much did your client who was allocated a plot in FCT phase II or III or IV pay to the government?

Certainly, if you really have the experience of these allocation transactions, you should be able to share the information for the benefit of everyone here. You do not need to provide personal information of anyone.

Would you like it if your client eventually submit an application form successfully but unable to pay the government price of the land? That is not a good customer service.

If you really want to help people, you will not advertise your deal for a long time before people patronise your company.

Meanwhile, your web address is not valid, please post a correct web address.

Why are Nigerians not mortgage friendly?

PropertiesRe: Why Are Nigerians Not Morgage Friendly? by beknown(m): 5:13pm On Jun 05, 2009
Lawyer,

You have really rounded it all up beautifully. It is not only Nigerians at home that should avoid mortgages in Nigerian banks. Nigerians in diaspora should avoid mortgages in Nigeria because the mortgages in Nigeria are designed to enrich the banks by all means. Consumers have no voice in Nigerian mortgage market.

I will prefer to purchase land and build my own house in Nigeria, no mortgage. No hurry in life. Better a peaceful person than live in draconic debt from Nigerian mortgages.
PropertiesRe: Why Are Nigerians Not Morgage Friendly? by beknown(m): 1:08pm On Jun 03, 2009
It is not Nigerians that are not mortgage friendly. It is Nigerian banks and the FG that are not mortgage friendly.

It is not only mortgage. Getting any loan from banks in Nigeria is a problem. Only the rich and famous are able to get loans.

Also, if you look at the rate of loans in Nigerian banks, it can cause somebody headache. If you are used to getting loans for personal or business use in UK, USA and other developed countries, you will be surprise with the system in Nigeria.

The major reason why there is development in UK and USA is the availability of credit facilities at affordable interest rate. In the UK, there are currently interest rate of 6% - 8% for personal loan without any collateral (unsecured loan).

Good and sustained development cannot happen if ordinary people cannot get access to loans. No wonder Nigeria is for the rich and famous and crime is on the increase - killing, stealing, armed robbery, kidnap, etc. sad
Jobs/VacanciesRe: Problems Fresh Graduates Are Facing: Me I No Gbadun by beknown(m): 5:49pm On May 26, 2009
I show sympathy for all job seekers. May God provide you the support you need. However, Heaven help those who help themselves.

The best answer to all the problem of unemployment, underemployment, low wages, slave wages, etc etc is self employment or entrepreneurship.

It is very sad that many people do not understand the principle of self employment. In Nigeria today, people do not require license and permit to start a one-man business unlike UK, Germany, USA, etc. Unfortunately, some people consider themselves too big to do some types of job. That is the beginning of our problem.

Banks and the government cannot employ every Nigeria graduate, whatever grade they score. That is the reality. People should begin to show initiative and take matters of employment in their own hands by starting a business for themselves.

Fresh graduates need to know that the world of work is not like writing and passing examination. The fact that you have 2.1, first class, 2.2, 3, upper credit or etc does not mean you cannot do well as a business owner.

I can provide any serious person with free advice about self employment depending on the career of the person. Get in touch on my e-mail (bennyowen@email.com). Please only e-mail me if you are serious about starting your own business, no timewasters.

abuja 11,

Thank you for the information you have been providing on this forum. However, as somebody who has helped many people to acquire land through government scheme in the past I would like to know your experience in the following questions:

1. How much did your client who was allocated a plot in FCT phase II pay to the government?
2. How much did your client who was allocated a plot in FCT phase III pay to the government?
3. How much did your client who was allocated a plot in FCT phase IV pay to the government?
4. How much did your client who was allocated a plot in other areas pay to the government?
RomanceRe: Can U Date A Guy That Has Nothing To Offer. by beknown(m): 1:07pm On May 26, 2009
People,

Beware of money bags. Many so-called men can boast of plenty of money. Consider the following questions carefully:

Is there love in the relationship?
What if the money bag runs dry without any more money?
Is the source of wealth legitimate?
Is the man hard working or lazy?
Is the woman ready to be supportive or forever parasite?
Is the woman looking for a temporary or permanent relationship?

A woman that is worth loving is someone who does not only look at what the man can provide. A virtuous woman will help the man where he is weak. That is true love.

No condition is permanent. A hard working man may need a little support to make it big. The choices are plenty but beware of relationships built solely on financial stability.

PropertiesRe: DEVELOPABLE 4 B/R BUNG 4 SALE ON OBA AKRAN AVE, IKEJA (Suitable 4 banks, eatery) by beknown(m): 1:13pm On May 19, 2009
Let us face facts.

The bungalow in its current state is not a useable property. Commercial or residential use will require a development of new structure on the existing land. The cost of pulling down the old structure should be considered in the purchase cost arrangement.

The purchase price of N150m is too much for land. The owner could develop it to modern standard before selling it.

Its not my choice of purchase.
