At this point in time, you better not come if you hope to get a student job. Covid hit everyone hard. The most patronized jobs are English teaching jobs, with respect to which opportunities are down at the moment. Your chance of getting any menial job is very slim. Those usually go to indigenes and There are several institutions that are highly reputable, but you need a high gpa to get into any of them. Can you provide any information on your undergraduate gpa? hayzed89: |
Another thing bro. As far as i know, Einstein never said that. You should know better. . And resist the urge to be like most Nigerians, by this, I mean consumption of information without verification. . Everybody attributes quotes they consider useful to Einstein all the time. The original quote was actually genius 1% inspiration, 99% perspiration, and it was by Edison. In itself, perspiration is not only equivalent to hard work. Other things go into it. The bolded is a reasonable argument, but it mostly means that you equate achievement to ingenuity. For me, they aren't. I could certainly describe someone as having achieved a lot, without calling them geniuses. I could certainly quantify geniuses by their achievements too. I could say, this so so person underachieved, given his tremendous gift. For me, ingenuity mostly equates to natural gifts, the discussion of how much you achieve with it is another discussion.TheGoodJoe: |
Are you alright? . I was solely addressing the argument that persistence is a form of genius and nothing more. Whether your genius or your hard work or a combination of the two helps you get results was not necessarily my argument. I never argued which of those was more important, even though i stated that hard work makes your ingenuity even better. Besides my comment with respect to the situation in which he did better than his peers was a response to his personal example. Perhaps you should have gone as far as checking the origin of the exchange. He be like say you just run enter my mention without actually knowing what's going on. What Nonsense.Abeg, no transfer aggression for my top. ![]() IDENNAA: |
First of all, intelligence in itself is a spectrum. We only consider people at the extreme upper end if it geniuses. For some tasks, only an average level of intelligence is required. Persistence can take you the rest of the way. I believe we throw the word 'Genius' around a lot. Mathematics in itself may not require ingenuity, but the way you get your result and how fast you do it may be what defines your ingenuity. Maybe you do, but I don't decide that someone must be a genius to get an A in a course. People with an average level of intelligence get As by studying hard. And what you just described is knowledge acquisition, anyone will probably be more knowledgeable than their peers if they take their studies more seriously. It's that simple. Let me be clear again, using intelligence may better suit your argument. Not being dull doesn't make you a genius. Hard work usually always enables you to get better results, irrespective of your level of intelligence. A musician could pull off a brilliant performance by rehearsing and finetuning his notes. Ingenuity may sometimes be distinguished by time. It may take someone of average intelligence7 years to master a certain technical job, but it may take you less than 6 months. Well in this case we could term you a genius. but first, we may have to establish how long it takes an average person to master it. Genius definitely has other manifestations besides time. TheGoodJoe: |
Careful with the kind of statements you put forth. Careful. Genius and resilience aren't on the same wavelength. One may enhance the other but they are very different. The fact that a genius stated that he's resilient doesn't mean his resilience made him a genius. Perhaps being resilient made his results so much better, but the two can exist independently. If i hear anybody say make VDB play double pivot with Fred. Which kain thing be that. . Deploying Fred is more effective if he plays alongside Mc Tominay. None of dem is a legit DM, but at least you can trust you have a lot of fire there. They can compensate for their inadequate defensive prowess by being present everywhere just within the second third of our half. Just wish we had a faster DM. It was obvious Chelsea was looking for a draw, if you ask me, that's progress. Lampard obviously didn't want last season's humiliation, so although they were having most of the ball, they were clueless with it. I believe that diamond formation needs a legit DM to be effective. Just wish Mc Tominay can be that person. That defensive recklessness is still there. Perhaps at 23, he can still modify his game to improve his decision making in the middle of the pack. How about Fosu Mensah? Perhaps they could play him in that position for our reserve matches. He looks like someone who could be effective in that. Once we get that reliable DM, we would be talking about devastating attacking machinery doing the lord's work in the other two-thirds of the field. Besides, perhaps we can understand that against certain opposition, at least for now VDB would just not be effective. Waiting for that Leipzig match though. I want to see something. ![]() |
I hope that info no be True. Why you go increase him salary. He no be we dey talk say Man utd' s salary expenditure be too much. I respect overrated pogba's talent, so if his future at the club depends on whether or not he gets an increase, increase it by one pound. ![]() |
I don tire for una matter. Na you people dey talk say some citizens dey flout rules with impunity. Dem come punish someone wey you call am betrayal. This hypothetical sutuation is quite interesting. Back in 2018 It would have been hard to argue against it. But fast forward to their loss to the same golden state side the year after, I cannot but look back and say that, they would have found a way to bottle it even with Chris Paul. Unless ofcourse you wanna argue that GSW's system without KD was just better at beating the Rockets. A40: |

Abeg make you people stop this talent talk. N.a. talent we go chop? Dropping masterclass one day dropping disasterclass in the next. Hard work over pure talent any day. If he's 21 or 22 we can hope that perhaps he will grow out of it, but the guy is 27. When will he become consistent? Very strange that someone of that stature cannot provide adequate cover defensively. If this team should be set up to accommodate anybody, then it should be Bruno. afrodoc2: |

The current chaos whether justified or not raises certain pertinent questions. Is it enough to demand a socio-economic revolution from the leaders, currently at the helm of affairs? For the current political/socio-economic decay that has certainly turned Nigerians into "Monsters", are we dealing with the case of inability on the part of leaders to devise and implement practical solutions, or it's the unwillingness to do so, or a combination of the 2. It's particularly important that all Nigerians agitating for a change ask themselves which of these cases apply and to what degree. Perhaps the potential leaders and politically astute amongst us can tell us which of these is the case. On one hand, if these leaders are just unable, or the problems even though they are known are just beyond them, as such they would only do something to reduce the symptomatic expression of a more fundamental problem, and thus alleviate the suffering due to the problems temporarily or just set in place a series of actions that distill these the most pressing problems into other problems, which may deceptively cause us all to pull back on our agitation with the satisfaction that they finally heed to our call. If this is the case, then the political platform which gives them their voice should be abandoned, and forced to spiral into Oblivion. In this case, a new political party spearheaded by some well-renowned and accomplished Nigerian professionals-cum-leaders/aspiring leaders may have to come into the picture. Perhaps it's time for some of these renowned professionals to come together under one umbrella with the singular purpose of wrestling it away from these inept leaders. I am saying this because if the Nigerian youths have really snapped out of their slumber, there must be a standby group of people ready to serve. This is not to argue that the leaders constituting a new political party may not turn out to be corrupt, but since most of us cannot see the future, the best we can do his place the most competent in charge. This is quite important because, if things are to change for the better, we will have to get as many competent people into all arms of the government as possible. You do not want competent executives and mostly incompetent executives, as that would amount to stagnation of implementation of policies. If a competent executive suggests sound policies in the interest of the Nigerian people, they may never come to fruition, it the house of assembly opposes it, or if it does, it may never be effective as the competent executive government would end up making unhealthy concessions. This applies the opposite way too. In this regard, I do believe renowned educators, political scientists, Engineers, Doctors, Lawyers home and Abroad should consider the formation of a political party. This struggle towards a better Nigeria would be a long and hard one. An initiative that would encourage the coming together of the best Nigerian brains is needed. Some could argue that these current leaders know how to solve our problems, but they are just refusing to. Even if this is the case, how long do we have to wait for our unwilling leaders to change? 20 years since the return to civil rule and still counting. Perhaps the first part still applies. Either way, if these initiative does materialize, I hope the youths will not go back to sleep, continue in their ignorance, and still vote for these greedy leaders. Irrespective of whether you were formally educated or not, I would think we, our fathers, mothers, aunties, uncles, brothers are mostly on the same page on the basic problems we think should be solved. And perhaps it's the responsibility of the educated amongst us to inform the uneducated/ignorant and bring them to understand the plight we and the future generations face. Perhaps it's time we all understand that we can no longer run away from politics. It will always find its way into our lives one way or another. Perhaps we can all get involved politically. Make Nigeria Great. |

Tuanzebe get poise ooo. The guy is brimming with confidence. |
Pogba is the most overrated player not English. . I do not know who sees that guy as an exceptional player. Pogba is just a very talented player playing well below is talent level. I'll take hard work and seriousness over talent any day. If you happen to have both, great. Once in a while he finds a player with one of those long passes, but about half the time he plays as if he's on the training ground. Getting dispossessed in dangerous areas. That play in the 81st minute for example. How do you get dispossessed like that with all that strength. If you cannot exert yourself, i do not care how much talent you have, just find another home. Apparently he'll never change. He will never grow away from being his own problem. Just offload the guy, he's getting paid too much money for his end product. But that Dan james guy though. He's getting into good positions. That must require good decision making, but just wait for the end product. So bad. Maybe make Mata and co borrow am some sense. He's half a brain of sense away from becoming an incredible player. ![]() |
