Ofcourse it's a demonstration of God's power. . Na you know which work be demonstration of God's power, which wan no be one. On the issue of rooting your doing in Biblical teachings, did Jesus ever use handkerchiefs to heal anyone? How do you know which works are specific to Babalawo? You don visit Babalawo before ni? I beg if you wanna make your point, stay one place. . Pastors overseeing RCCG parishes go to babalawos to collect charms too, so what was is your point?WILLuKPquiet: |
Where in the bible did jesus condemn rituals. Do you even know what "rituals" mean? A ritual is not necessarily diabolical or unchristlike. WILLuKPquiet: |

This is the last time I'll reply you on this subject. Let me provide you with a context. Have you heard of the term "nominal moslem"? In this respect, maybe 97% of the population are at least nominal Moslems. But most are not practicing. You can easily place the fact that most of them have moslem names in the context of history. I know of several cities whose population are mostly non-religious. You can check quora for further information on the subject. tot: |
Wikipedia is not correct in this regard. I have no idea how Wikipedia ended up with that stat.I thought so too, hence my emphasis on first hand information. I do agree you can look up information online. But i would advice you not to rely on one source for information, especially Wikipedia. I would think any well-informed person knows this. Do not unnecessarily become emotional when arguing facts. tot: |
Abeg if you are not sure of what you are saying, especially if you do not have first hand information desist from arguing these kind of issues. You don't have to comment if you don't know. It's alright. You can definitely argue that Erdogan is a staunch Moslem, but a significant proportion of their population have no religious affiliation. Well over 50%. If that's what your idea of secular means. tot: |
Are you kidding. Do you think I would even mention you without having first hand information? tot: |
How you take know say Dem dey maltreat Nigerian students? guru90: |
Do you live in Turkey? How do you know this? You people go just dey argue anyhow. tot: |

I am sorry for the epistle. Na vex i take write am . I guess i cna be informal now. I will have to disagree on the policies. The good of a policy is in its implementation. People like Diezani were carting away with billions, under his nose. I suppose he needed 4 years to put forward policies and 4 more years for implementation. ![]() Awol1: |
What a bunch of crap. He chose the wrong side? Is there any sort thing as a wrong side? Your reasoning is quite pathetic and borderline shameful honestly. I wouldn't anyone reason him as the a potential president? Is he not a citizen with some accomplishment? Those leaders that you support so fervently, what have they done to advance this country? Under Jonathan, people were getting away with stealing billions of dollars. Money was going missing everywhere. The man couldn't keep his house in order. He lost control. If you want to keep that kind of president, then you need serious help. On the other hand there was Buhari who was notable for his discipline. It wasn't a bad decision to consider him then, despite the fact that it was glaring that he may not sophisiticated enough to handle the Nigeria of this time. Most people believed what we needed was someoene who could be ruthless with rooting out corruption. He was the only one at that time with that kind of reputation. When some of you guys talk about the fact that the level of suffering then wasn't as much, but you forget that when you keep taking money out of the coffers uncontrollably, during rainy days, you will definitely suffer. The government of jonathan played a major role in our suffering today. The clueless people in all their greed did not cosnider the fact that the Oil prices may take a disastrous nosedive. Perhaps if they had the best interest of nigerians at heart, they could have saved in anticipation of the fall of the price of Oil. Most Nigerians live in the moment. Chop i chop we say. As long as you give me 5k today, no Wahala, carry go. Do whatever you wan do. I repeat, i have never at anypoint thought Buhari could handle the current Nigeria, i mean with respect to facilitating the start up of industries e.t.c. But he was the most capable person to deal with corruption then ,something which has always been the problem. if he comes in an addresses that full on, and at least get the people to stop behaving like greedy animals, perhaps some other leader can do something else like changing our education system, encouraging the establishment of industries e,t,c. But he's failed in what was most expected of him. It may be impossible to find any leader that stands for everything needed to solve our problems, but we could get one that's most competent for one aspect at one time, then usher in another person most competent for something else at another time. What am i even saying self. Perhaps you don't even understand my point. The long and short of this is, it's nobody's fault that the most competent people are not vying for the highest government offices. So the rssult is you end up having to choose the better of two evils or the most competent specifically or generally, but that person could be an average leader if you look in more deeply. Perhaps some of the competent ones can come out and start participating. It will be ytough to displace those old greedy guards, but we'll keep pushing until they go back to where they belong-retirement homes. . Stop this Jonathan/Buhari argument. It's gone stale. I find it hard that a lot of Nigerians are stuck on this ussue. Sadly it reflects our mentality. Note i am only addressing the point oyu made about belonging to the wrong side.Awol1: |
Stop this nonsense. You are only mentioning this after the fact. Do not carry it around as if it's always been known. If you had brought this up before the friendlies, perhaps you would be taken seriously. jihday: |
Watch as Nigerians will tell you he's better. Although Dele has not been featured as much. Besides Dele wasn't the only one. There's Yakubu. I kind of feel we should tlak about Yakubu too. We Nigerians are mostly narrow-minded. For someone to come out and say, they are helpinh him build confidence. Na only him follow come? Na only him need confidence building? I am not quite surprised though, these people don dey talk up the Maduka guy even before invitation, even while competing in a 4th-tier league. . Ofcourse they will keep shifting the goal post. . Now the argument don turn to Maduka dey play for Eredivisie, Dele dey for Latvia. Backwater lrague. . Meanwhile na bench Maduka dey warm ooo. His decent showing may help him get some playing time in cup games now. We could say the same for Dele and Yakubu. If they get to feature for Nigeria, better teams may start looking at them. Playing ofr hte national team gives you exposure.mostob: |
What a bunch of crap. I brought up Enyeama cos you kept mentioning "weak league", "weak league", not with respect to pedigree. It's to tell you that moving to better leagues has not easy for Nigeiran goalkeepers, no matter how good they were. If you didn't notice that, i would rather not continue this back and forth with you on this very subject. Besides, Yakubu competes in the Slovakian league as the first choice goal keeper. Is the Slovakian league any better than the Isrteali league? ![]() chrisooblog: |
excellent point. It may work. Okoye ha been decent so far. At least he'll get to start for the cup games. Happy to take that out my argument. ![]() jihday: |
Make you no talk this thing for outside ooo. Na slap go land for your face. . You know how long Enyeama, as good as he was-defending the stick self- -played in the Isreali league? Do you their UEFA coefficient? Kontinue.chrisooblog: |
Everton or Leiceter? Are you alright, man? . I can't believe my eyes. . What the heck do we need something of better quality for, if not to use/test it in this case? Okoye is yet to feature for even a cup match for Sparta, a team that's currently in the relegation zone. Kontinue. . Uzoho wasn't on the bench for him. I probably agree with the choice of not calling him. The guy just recovered from injury. But then if you decide not to invite him and then refuse to play some of the goalkeepers you invited, then there's a problem. Do not tell me Maduka is better than Uzoho, cos then i would have to refer you to Yaba. . This guy be careful. You are mentioning individual honor, you mean at the under 17. How does that play into the current status of the player. Meanwhile we all know our goalkeepers have not been fortunate enough to play in first rate leagues. Enyeama was so good, but he never got to be first choice for lille until late in his career. Be careful. Are you seriously arguing for the 4th-tier of German football?smartsmith0907: |
What the heck. You missed the actual argument. Was Ezenwa not there? jihday: |
You probably didn't read my entire post. Alampasu may have featured occasionally for the Fereinse first team, but he featured regularly for their reserve side. Dusseldorf II is a 4th tier German league. That's equal at most equalt to the reserves team of Feirense. The Akatugba issue is not unfair. You definitely missed the context. I was explaining a possible scenario in the lead up to Okoye's call up. Most people barely look beyond the first tier of European football countries. 4th tier is definitely far down, that's not to say you cannot find talented people there. The favouritism point comes from the inconsistency in his decisions. Against Brazil, he brought in Maduka in place of Uzoho. At the time that was fair, even though Ezenwa wasn't brought in instead. You would think ooo, he must have wanted to test Maduka. Why not do the same for others? Nobody should bring up the 10 games in five years argument cos it's even worse for Maduka. He was competing in the 4th tier and he's currently warming the bench for Sparta. chrisooblog: |
He better not. He'll be creating problems for himself. I woudn't say Maduka is better than Uzoho. He's the goalkeeper to be displaced. mostob: |
I dey boil right now. Make no body kon tell me say Okoye better pass Yakubu and Alampasu. Cos at different times all these goalkeepers have either not been playing consistently or have been completing in lowly rated leagues. On one hand Alampasu had not been playing consistently for Feirense, but he was playing for their reserves. On the other hand Maduka was competing in the German 4th tier. For some, playing for the reserve team of a team competing in the portuguese premier league is better than competing in the 4th level of German football. Besides i remember clearly that, Maduka wasn't always in goal at Dusseldorf. He warmed the bench some of the time. . I still wonder how he got his first call-up. Either Rohr's searchlights are more intensely beamed onto the German stage or Maduka advertised himself one way or another. I can see one Okatugba(verified twitter account), who claims he's a UEFA certified sports journalist wrote that he told him to create a twitter account, i suppose subsequent to an interview. In the tweet he touted him as Nigeria's next first choice goalkeeper. I suppose some of these posts, with pictures of course could have gotten several retweets until, well the Oyinbo coach couldn't resist it(close to home). . I will count on the latter to have been the major reason for his call-up, cos i don't know who looks beyond Bundesliga 2. Perhaps the perennial crisis in our goalkeeping department is a reason for casting a wider net. Yakubu, another one is the first goalkeeper for SKF Sered in the slovakian league. I would think this should count as something. At least try him. Meanwhile remember that Maduka was substituted in against Brazil, i mean if you can do that in such a high profile match, why not substitute these other goalkeepers in after about 60 minutes or so. It's not as if the goalkeeper would disrupt the game of play that much. Not that he has any plan anyway. . I do think Rohr made a mistake in this regard. What is good for the goose is good for the gander. The scenario that just played out over 2 games reeks of favouritism. Tactics aside, i am quite dissapointed in this singular action. He could easily polarize the team because of this. People talk. Chukwueze, Iheanacho and Alampasu are member of the same under 17 class. They'll probably sympathize with their brother, moreso Maduka is partly German. Hmmm. This guy is definitely inching towards an imminent sack, probably not because of tactics, cos his employers are as clueless as he is. ![]() |

I don notice something. Any time dem put camera for Rohr top, him go come dey do like him dey instruct player. ![]() |
This team never create any chance for secodn half. Rohr no know wetin to do. Na to gather players to play him know. Dem fit do whatever dem dey want. Perpson wey call am carpenter, dey on point. . The man is not only a carpenter, but a local one. Na only bench and tablew him fit do. Nonsense. ![]() |
