82 games is too big a sample guy.
steady986:
People have now come out with their little dingalings, talmbout AD is trash, LeBron ain't got it no more, bla bla bla. Put your little wee wees back in your zippers and come back after 82 games.

LeBron needs more help, maybe Kuzma could be that 3rd guy grin. Anthony Davis has always been overrated. I hope for Lebron' s sake I am wrong though. LeBron got what he wanted, at least the bottom line. The new narrative will be Kawhi has a lot of help, they even took the might golden state to 6 games. grin

But 4^2 is not English now. The ss3 student is just a dullard abeg.
IamCharles123:
You are not getting the point, at least the students you taught understand English already, they can travel to anywhere in this world and communicate. But these northern kids are not even ready to learn English or anything. Imagine ss3 student dont know what 4² is.
Education › Re: Yobe Adopts Hausa As Language Of Instruction In Schools by benji93:
Are you kidding me! The initiative in itself is a good move. The question should have been, would their new educational design/direction be effective? which I doubt, but I could be wrong. İt would be difficult for them to compete internationally? Can they not learn English as another language? Are the Germans, the Finnish, the Danish not competing internationally enough. İf our teachers are good enough we could learn English as another language. At Middle East Technical University, Turkey, the students attend English preparatory school for one year prior to their program, and some of them become quite fluent in that short period of time if they take it seriously and practice. Some of these guys speak English more fluently than a lot of Nigerians that have known English all their lives. With all the 'English speaking country' tag, you still have to take TOEFL or İELTS to be accepted for admission in a lot of schools out there. Again the problem is not about our education being in any local language. İt's the efficiency of a design that centers around a local language that we should worry about. You should be asking questions like, how is it going to work out? Honestly though, in this age adopting a local language as the language of instruction, especially at the tertiary level will probably not work considering our level of sophistication. This is a project that should have began 30/40 years ago. The political ramifications of this are not very good though.
LastSurvivor11:
The truth is that it’s good and bad at the same time..

Good because it will enhance learning and understanding..

Bad because it will be difficult for such students to compete internationally when he/she only understands hausa..

Seems waec question will be set in hausa too..

I think you need to be careful when you present some unfounded arguments here. Some of us on this forum grew up in Ghana and studied there, so we know whats up. I was brought up by a Ghanaian mother by the way. Don't come here and lie to us. On the average the cost of living/salaries are relatively higher. In terms of development, there's not much you can point to.

do you know what averages is or equity is

that is how development is compared

Travel › Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by benji93: 2:44pm On Oct 18, 2019
I suggest fly emirates, if the airlines running those flights are Egypt air and Qatar airways respectively then you don't need a transit visa if you've got a Turkish visa. For most airlines their flights usually includes a stop at their designated home countries.
WhyNa:
Guys please when going from Lagos, the flights I saw, there's either a stop over in Egypt or Dubai.

Do I need a transit visa? Also what airline do you suggest? Thanks

Most students from Nigeria , if not all usually get that. It's always been the routine. All you gotta do now is wait and pray.

Technically you should be able to do It, but Nigeriacally, it's a No. You don't want to be stopped at the airport by those crooked security men and told they won't let you pass cos you've got one way ticket. You don't want to cut your journey short cos of this. Get a two-way ticket, if it's within your means
mosk2k:
can a student going to turkey for studies book a one way flight?just curious since one will be staying for over a year ....
Travel › Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by benji93: 2:28pm On Oct 18, 2019
Man, you don't have to provide information if you don't have It. Turkey is not advisable for study? Where did you get that from? Some schools in Turkey offer their undergraduate programs entirely in English, I even obtain my graduate diploma from one. Have you heard of METU? It's got a lot of reputation, it's a public one, and it's tuition fees are really low.
akinlolumichael:
i will advice to go to European countries or Australia. Turkey is not adviseable for study. Though, they have educational facilities, but there medium of studying is Turkish, except you pay more money for english classes in your dept
Sports › Re: Why Do Nigerians Dislike Genort Rohr by benji93: 1:52pm On Oct 15, 2019
Which boys did he scout? No single player he's called was unknown, especially by ardent Nigerian fans. A number of Nigerian football fans are following the performances of Nigerian players overseas closely. So he didn't discover anyone. Get your facts right. Must a team have superstars to compete? I think not. He is so fortunate that numerous Nigerian players are doing very well at the moment, some are even bordering on superstardom. He has not been able to maximimize the potentials of those guys. he has been found wanting in critical moments of our matches, especially the last 2. You don't sound well enlightened.
Itsagoal:
We do not embrace a good thing when we see one, the coach is the perfect fit for us. let it go! He scouted the boys, changed the team, still in the process of building and discovery. The current team can NOT boast of a superstar, but a collection of hungry young and unknown talents that most of us never heard of. Let it be Naija!

He did on one occassion, and that counts since as you confirmed, he wasn't tested. If you watched the match you could guess the moment I am referring to.
Joebie:
Maduka didn’t look jittery at all. Just say he wasn’t really tested.
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by benji93: 10:47am On Oct 14, 2019
Honestly, I am not sold on Maduka. He looked jittery, and didn't have much to do. That being said, I don't think we have enough to fault his game, cos the Nigerian team was under a lot of pressure. He deserves another chance though. For those suggesting Ezenwa should have been called upon instead, I think you should fold your arms an wait. A good number of us here have repeatedly faulted Maduka' s call-up, so it's only reasonable that Rohr features him, perhaps there is something he sees in the guy, we are not seeing. Perhaps there are still some stuffs he's not completely clueless about grin. For Aribo, although the guy looks good, for the last 2 games the guy faded away for a large part of the second half. If you ask me, I think that's a problem, but again the whole team was bad during that period of storm. It could either be tactics (lack of continuity over two halves) or just the way he plays. I would assume it's the former though given his moment of brilliance late in the game, although even the worst of players are allowed to be brilliant momentarily. We really need that number 10. Iwobi has been consistently disappearing these days. Chukwueze, such a talented young chap, overconfidence will not kill you. In situations where the right back matches you pace for pace, only your decisions can put you over the hump. I liked Ajayi's burst forward into the midfield area but you better be sure of what you are doing man grin. Ekong, as usual what can say, the guy has grown into his role at the heart of the defence. Ndidi, floor general manhandling the samba boys earlier on in the midfield. Awaziem, solid overall, impressed by his timely defending generally, didn't impress much on the offensive though. Jamilu was not quite good overall, but he had his moments defensively. Osimhen, teriffic upfront. I said it a while ago, he can be devastating when he moves around, wide sometimes. Onuachu, i guess he was brought in to bring the brazilian backline under pressure, by feeding off long balls, but he was literally running around like he had a boil on his balls grin. Moses wasn't good, but he wasn't terrible either. He needs to add more spices to his game. He was helping out defensively, that's good when you are not doing too well upfront, and that assist was timely, he passed it when there was just enough space for Aribo to penetrate. Usually, for every team there is a period of storm within a match, but finding a way to weather the storm, when it starts mounting is a quality of a good coach. Rohr has mostly failed in that aspect so far. It's becoming a trend. I don't like Rohr, he stagnates a lot, I would think that's the limit of his understanding of the game, and he has not evolved much with this team, I guess we can blame old age for that grin.He manages to get some decent results though. Peace.

İt's always been that way for Rohr, i have pointed that out previously. Rohr usually becomes clueless under pressure. İt sometimes feels as if he doesn't say anything to the players before the resumption. Why has this been the case. İ can only point to one thing. grin
oloriooko:
Rohr's weakness is making subs aptly
He needs to learn to consult with his crew who should be his eyes and ears on the pitch
Seem we are gradually turning to first half team which is very bad for us

Common, you should know i wasn't being confrontational. Just joking with that 'Get out of here'. But all is well honestly grin. And i am sorry, i guess the traffic was just too much, i intended the comment for a different post.
Odunayaw:
Is all well with you?

Did you not see Iwobi became anonymous 2nd half and should have been substituted?
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by benji93: 3:13pm On Oct 13, 2019
This is exactly why Nigeria needs another number 10. İwobi seems to be oscillating between Very good and sub par, like a discrete quantity.

What's does this your post have to do with the fact that Iwobi was missing in action and should have been replaced!?!

No that's not a Plus for the coach, cos honestly we are yet to see what Okoye is made of. He didn't have to make a save.
lbrichman2:
is that not a plus for the Coach?
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by benji93: 3:03pm On Oct 13, 2019
Cos the young man was called upon at the wrong time. The Nigerian players were under intense pressure. İf the Brazilians were clinical enough, he could have easily conceded at least 2 goals. And he could get crucified for that. So now he could get another chance without raised eyebrows.
andrewbaba44:
So if okoye concede how will you feel?

Is okoye not human?
Sports › Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2027, 2028 And 2030 World Cup by benji93: 2:56pm On Oct 13, 2019
Hail the coach for what? He has again shown what we already know about him. Clueless. İ have mentioned this earlier, there is a pattern to Rohr's game, initial gragra in the first half, then the team's performance just fades. Similar to what happened against Ukraine grin grin grin grin grin. Just happy Okoye didn't concede, although he wasn't tested.
Sportilitica:
They will not hail the coach now, but once we lose, they shall come out to criticise
