Are you alright? Knocked GSW off their perch? This team is still yet to win a play off series. Do you even understand some of these phrases you throw around. No one here is discrediting the talent depth of this team, the tag you used is just an exaggeration.
TalonVonner:
Nonsense. The miami heat were a great team the moment they were assembled. So are the clippers. You cant discredit the sort of talent that they've put together. You are just jealous cause the clippers have knocked the GSW off their perch.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 6:57pm On Nov 09, 2019
The tag ' one of the greatest teams ever assembled' you have placed on the Clippers exists only in your mind. What exactly do you mean by that. Top 20,30, 40? grin. That's not a fact any practical person will admit at least at this moment. Come playoff time, we will see if that narrative is even remotely valid.
TalonVonner:
Just admit it. The clippers with a healthy kawhi and Paul George are one of the greatest teams ever assembled. The Lakers will be in trouble. I'm a Lakers fan, I absolutely believe this.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 6:51pm On Nov 09, 2019
That moment was sweet, but I don't think PG could do any better in that moment. Just some great balling from Lillard in that series.
xwolverine:
PG is good but he’s not all that, he’s hella moist. Give me Iggy any day and the Lakers will match up. And Dame still dropped the half court buzzer beater on his ass last season.

You don't just mention someone. You have to understand the context. My post was in reference to a Ghanaian.

You are not listening man. Was your friend teaching at a government school?
POKUASI2:
that's not accurate.. I have a friend that quit his teaching job cos the pay wasn't good.. he's now working with Glico
Politics › Re: Ghanaians Angry Over Border Closure! Order Nigerian Businesses To Leave Markets by benji93: 9:34pm On Nov 08, 2019
Yes that was a correct statement. Not teachers generally, but teachers affiliated with Ghana education ervice. What he got wrong was the conversion. Giving the high cost of living that amount doesn't also carry as much weight, as its equivalence in the naira.
POKUASI2:
maybe you or the other dude claiming teacher are earning gh1300..
Politics › Re: Ghanaians Angry Over Border Closure! Order Nigerian Businesses To Leave Markets by benji93: 9:21pm On Nov 08, 2019
İn which ways ooo? Bo ni yen tuasu. But before we continue, where do you actually live in Ghana?
leathalbeast:
Ghana is better than Nigeria in alot of situations
Politics › Re: Ghanaians Angry Over Border Closure! Order Nigerian Businesses To Leave Markets by benji93: 9:18pm On Nov 08, 2019
Which kind wahala be this en. İ didn't even write 800 cedis now. İ assume you didn't intend to mention me.
POKUASI2:
you're deluded and probably in a village.. which indomie seller make 800 cedis a day when worker in Accra are paid gh250 a month
Politics › Re: Ghanaians Angry Over Border Closure! Order Nigerian Businesses To Leave Markets by benji93: 9:03pm On Nov 08, 2019
That amount i quoted wasn't for me. İ wasn't getting 300 cedis. İ agree i wasn't qualified though, atleast not on paper, cos i was had just graduated from high school. That estimate though(350cedis tops) was another teachers salry who had completed teaching college. If you wanna make an argument regarding salaries, considering market women as a yardstick for judgement is terrible. Different market women earn diffeent incomes which varies from one season to another depending on the commodities they trade. İ am not here to say one country is better than the other. As far as i am concerned Ghana is not in a better situation. Just a smaller version of Nigeria for a lot of considerations.
leathalbeast:
if a school paid you 300 cedis, then they cheated you because you had no qualifications... Do you know how much our market women and indomie sellers make in a month? Don't say what you don't know. If it's difficult to raise 80000k in Nigeria, it's not in Ghana.
Politics › Re: Ghanaians Angry Over Border Closure! Order Nigerian Businesses To Leave Markets by benji93: 8:50pm On Nov 08, 2019
15 years! hell na. When the denomination was changed in 2007 the heat was felt immediately. Basic commodities went up by almost 50% in a few months and the inflation generally was apparent. Come to think of it, the deterioration the Cedi was one of the reasons for the change of denomination in the first place.
Just30:
it took 15 years for that to happened

The naira it entire value in 2 months, even when it is not a freely floating currency
Politics › Re: Ghanaians Angry Over Border Closure! Order Nigerian Businesses To Leave Markets by benji93: 8:33pm On Nov 08, 2019
That is a big lie. Which bullshit conversion is that. You could have googled the conversion before mentioning my post. This attitude only makes me think you have never actually made any currency conversion grin. Meanwhile the conversion is roughly 1 Ghanaian cedi to 65 Naira. Maybe you can keep that in mind before joining arguments such as this.
Just30:
actually 1300 cedis is almost 130,000 naira and that is the salary of an entry level GES teacher
Politics › Re: Ghanaians Angry Over Border Closure! Order Nigerian Businesses To Leave Markets by benji93: 8:26pm On Nov 08, 2019
Envy you, are you alright? İ don't even know you. Stop that bullshit İ lived and studied in Ghana. Studied from JHS 2 to sophomore year university of Ghana. So i know what'going on there. My claims are not baseless. İ wasn't giving you second hand information. The salary/cost of living in Ghana especially in the capital is very low. Most of the so called internatinl schools pay their employees incredibly low salaries. İ taught in one. So that's not an assumption. İt' the reality. Back to the main matter. İ was disputing your claim that 80000 naira cannot get you through a week in Ghana, and that'a big lie. On the average 70% of ghanaians don't earn as much.
leathalbeast:
you claim you don't wanna know yet you are making baseless assumptions. Envy is not a good thing pls stop it.

BTW there are people in every country who are under payed. If Nigeria wasn't such a sh1thole why then will over 50 million Nigerians be living under one dollar a day?
Politics › Re: Ghanaians Angry Over Border Closure! Order Nigerian Businesses To Leave Markets by benji93:
I honestly don't wanna know how much you make in a week/month, only a few jobs come to mind. Meanwhile if you spend that much money in a week, it's either you are wasteful. You are involved in illegal businesses or the Ghanaian system is so bleeped up that you have to spend that much for upkeep. In this case u are not necessarily rich. We might have to look at how much you can save. Besides we are talking about how much an average Ghanian makes or spends, and the last I checked most Ghanaians make far less than that amount per month. Some private schools even pay teachers as low as 300 Cedis per month.
leathalbeast:
hahahaha, funny dude, do you know how much I make in a week? 1222 cedis ain't money. In Nigeria you will be king with it but not in Ghana.
Politics › Re: Ghanaians Angry Over Border Closure! Order Nigerian Businesses To Leave Markets by benji93: 4:41pm On Nov 08, 2019
Don't come here and lie man. 80000 naira is roughly 1300 Cedis. 13 million old Cedis. Now can you spend all of that in a week? That's the average monthly salary of some GES teachers. Some of us actually lived in Ghana ok.
leathalbeast:
funny dog, you think 80000 naira can see you through a week in Ghana? Poor nigga
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 7:52am On Nov 08, 2019
Hold onto your opinion man for as long as you can. Your statement is valid on paper .However in reality it will depend on Paul George can replicate his performance last season in the play offs. Can he do it? Maybe or Maybe not. But history says Likely not.
TalonVonner:
Naah i strongly disagree. The 2017 warriors will sweep the lakers but the clippers will win at least 3. People don't realize how good this clippers team is, just wait until paul george returns.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 10:51pm On Nov 07, 2019
I was hoping you would admit that. grin
TalonVonner:
LMAO Why are warriors fans so sensitive man? Arent the warriors the greatest team in recent times? isnt this a compliment? what is wrong with this guy?
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 10:33pm On Nov 07, 2019
I don't run away from arguments. And I would point it out, when I realize that someone is being overly petty. He started well by admitting that the Clippers can win it all come play off time. He suddenly found a way to bring GSW into the matter. Which makes me think GSW was originally on his mind. Then he thought, how can I shade this people today ooo. Then came the Clippers context. grin
steady986:
Guy, you angry no be small grin
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 10:12pm On Nov 07, 2019
Of all the great championship teams, the only team that you could think of was GSW. Are you haunted by the success of GSW? You can definitely make an argument without mentioning GSW.
TalonVonner:
The Clippers are the obvious favorites to win the chip TBH. I guess me thinking the lakers stood a chance was wishful thinking.

They have the best defensive PG in the league, the best two two-way wings in the league, the two best 6th men in the league and the best bench in the league. A HOF coach in doc rivers. This team is a problem. I don't legitimately see any team that can beat them. Heck one can argue that this team would've given the 2017 warriors a run for their money or even beat them.

We could say the same for your lakers too. Aren't you a hype train too?
TalonVonner:
The clippers got the lakers on the opening night of the season, a new team with no chemistry and no real philosophy and they barely escaped. I'm glad its fanned the flames of the detractors, will make it all the more satisfying when the lakers cut them down to size. I cant wait until we get our hands on them again, show them a whole different world of hurt. Forget christmas day, i want them in the WCF, i dont want any other team to get the pleasure of crushing the hype train. I really can't wait.

Shut up guy and stop bringing up the Jonathan issue. At that moment in time Jonathan was more or less a figure head. He had no control over his political space. Nobody wants such a person as a president. Corruption as an individual flourished unabated under Jonathan. It was only reasonable to kick him out and try somebody else that had a somewhat successful term as head of state. If you wanted Jonathan to continue with his corrupt leadership, then sorry for you. Nigerians elected Buhari and some have come to a realization that he is not sophisticated enough to lead in this era. The fact that wood is not a good material for making a pot does not make plastic any better. Jonathan's government was terrible. It's that simple. It turns out we can do better than both. Peace.

I am not a conspiracy theorist ooo, but who else thinks this is diplomatic attention ooo. The AU government is saying: migrants come ooo, we do offer an equitable working environment. I mean this is not that hard to implement if the league's are not quite reputable. But even with this initiative is only reasonable for national teams. If you wanna earn more generate more.
Education › Re: Thread For PHD Students by benji93:
Hello Bros. Master's student at Bilkent here .Completed my Bsc at ODTU. Note: I may not be well equipped to provide a more informative advice, but i am doing thos anyway. To the best of my knowledge the choice of students for project largely depends on the project coordinator's exposure-past experiences, including education, and their mode of recruitment .At ODTU for instance some professors usually have at least a project under their coordination at a particular point in time and recruit student researchers from a course they offered some semesters prior. Since the number of student researchers allowed for these Tubitak projects is limited, the spaces get filled up by students-local or foreign- from the feeder system, unless the project is in collaboration with the ministry of defence. So there is a chance that admission of a foreign student into an Msc program won't come with the financial benefit of working on a Tubitak projects, or there won't be an opportunity to get on a Tubitak project. They could get it along the line though depending on the educational relationship a foreign student establshes with his/her advisor. Honestly the number of Tubitak projects awarded to each institution depends on the quality of research conducted at that institution, hence the research productivity of researchers. It also depends on the research area. So the smaller the number of Tubitak projects available the lesser the likelihood of you getting a Tubitak project to work on. Establishing a good student-professor relationship could prove vital, although some of the professors don't care. They would still take their countrymen over you. grin. But honestly, generally at the graduate level, research output of potential Supervisor should be the most input in deciding where to pursue graduate work. Keep working and strive make your Supervisor aware of your research potential. They might just get you onboard one of their Tubitak projects. I hope you get what you want. @wip7 , you remember me from North Cyprus travel? I hail ooo, keep up the good work Prof.
TadeDetule:
This is jaw-dropping ooo. Yeah, I am studying in Turkey but then I heard you can only apply through your supervisor before one could get funded by Tubitak. Someone even said its mainly for nationals. There is really a mixed description of everything jare.
