Take it easy. You need some serious enlightenment. You see the human mind is like a pot. You can fill it with anything. It is capable of creating foolish and sensible thoughts alike. Whatever you fill it with, It's the aromatic tasty soup that comes out after the boiling process that ultimately matters. The soup your pot has cooked doesn't taste good at all. Perhaps you need to learn some culinary skills.

Travel › Re: Turkey Visa Application Delay by benji93:
1. No, as a Nigerian you are not recognized as a native speaker(UK, US, Australia), so your certificates from Nigeria won't help you, unless you studied English.

2. Generally that's what is required to get a stable English teaching job at most institutions- language schools and conventional schools. Some language schools do accept teachers without language certificates though, but you may run into problems such as sudden lay offs and late salary payment- you may be owed for months. Most established language schools usually require the language teaching certificate.

3. How easy? I can only speak about Ankara. It's neither easy nor hard. You may need to know the right people, especially Africans that are into teaching in one form or another. Istanbul is larger, so you would expect a higher demand for teachers, so perhaps you stand a better chance getting an English teaching job there without a language certificate. Language school's pay per hour. 15-30 TL generally. Traditional school's pay monthly salaries in the range 3000-5000TL. If you have the Language certificate, you could be earning close to or over 5000TL. Note that I have not considered international schools.

4. It's a No for traditional schools. They usually require you to work full time. For language schools, you usually get paid per hour (accumulated over a month), and they have different schedules that suit different classes/levels of people, so you may only apply for periods compatible with your undergraduate program's timetable.

I leave you to convert the money to dollars yourself. Do not measure the actual worth of the mentioned amounts by converting to Naira. The cost of living here is probably more than double that of Nigeria, even in Ankara- I understand Istanbul is more expensive.

You need to also come with funds that can sustain you for months, as you may not get the job as soon as you arrive.

Note that my entire submission is mostly from the perspective of someone who resides in Ankara. This is also a general consideration, you may get lucky and beat the odds. But I strongly advise you not to count on luck.

thanks for the enlightenment bro.
please help me answer these questions.

1. Can I use HND certificate to teach English in Turkey?
2. Did I need to have TOSEL before I can be employ to teach English in Turkey?
3. How easy is it to get English teaching job in Turkey? and the pay like how much?
4. Can I be teaching and doing Bachelor degree program at the same time in Turkey? note that I will be sponsoring myself from d salary I get while teaching.
hope to hear from you soonest.
thanks.

See bros, just forget AD matter. We clearly have divided opinions on the subject. You can present your facts about your opinions on the subject and we can present ours. This argument can only be settled if and when AD gets another opportunity to lead a team and he takes it. But at least we all agree that AD is tremendously talented.
Roland17:
Failed to lead New Orleans to where? With what? Abeg make una just stop! How many of the current superstar is playing alone with the expectation of making team progress in the dreaded western conference? Show me one western conference playoff contender that has only one star player and have made consecutive playoff appearances..What was he supposed to do? You yourself in one of your recent post agreed there was absolutely nothing he could have done with that squad! We freaking had people bringing ridiculous arguments about his stats when he plays with J. Holiday and was done!
I don’t think anyone has any problem with the Giannis comparison and that is because it is a good and fair one. We had issues with the Siakam thing and from what we have seen this season, AD would have to stop playing before Siakam catches up with him and it is no diss on Siakam.
Right now he clearly the most important Laker on the court because it is almost impossible to take him out and if that is not leadership I don’t know what is.

Romance › Re: I Accommodate Her In My House, Now I Am In Love With Her by benji93: 7:42pm On Dec 13, 2019
At this pace you will. How do you handle the situation? Easy, leave the house for her, since she has no where to go(bullshit, for you to even think this is true, you are gonna cheat very soon). Wetin Agama no go see for wall. grin
ElonEmpire:
I met this girl online, we happen to come from same LGA, We got talking and later became friends.

Months later she complained about having accommodation Issue. Now, me am hardly around because of the nature of my job so I felt is OK letting her go stay there at least to keep my apartment warm and clean.

Though this is not the first time am doing that,
For over 5 years now it has been people staying in my house because in a year I don't even sleep more than 2 months in my house.

The last person that stayed there was also a lady the few times I go home during her stay we are OK, more like brother and sister. In fact neighbors actually thought we were.

Now come this new girl I don't know her before, infact she has spent like 6 months in my house before I went back.

During those times she was catching feelings for
me weda she is serious about it or not I don't know but I told her point blank that I'm into a serious relationship and she should maintain her boundary when ever I come back.

Months later i travelled and see her in person..
To say that she is beautiful is understatement, she is definition of beauty. She is irresistable.

I have traveled couple of time after the first time and each of this time I try so hard to maintain my dignity, self respect and not to misbehave.
We sleep on same bed, though i have decide to be sleeping on the floor or another room. She changes in my presence.

I'm seriously going crazy right now about this girl..
Infact I see my self getting Jealous about the guy she is seeing recently.

I don't know how to hand the situation, I can't afford to misbehave because, 1st she call me brother.

2ndly considering the circumstance that brought her to my house I can't afford to misbehave because am this one person who don't like taking advantage of women.

And lastly I can't cheat on my girl.
But I can't ask her to leave because for now she have no where to go.

Please how do I handle the situation?!

That's the narrative some guys around here would like to tell, just to undermine the achievement of the GSW. Some fail to understand that in life, some pieces just fit in. They are not necessarily great pieces individually. Steve Kerr' s record at the moment is a little disappointing I must admit. It kind of looks like he's just learning how to coach grin. It's hard to tell if he is the right man for this moments. I mean, is he a man that can lead a team devoid of true all-stars to a considerable number of wins? While some managers are well suited to lead a team of stars, they may just fall short when you hand them a mediocre team. Perhaps, he keeps tinkering, based on the idea that we have all resigned to the fate of a lost season. Perhaps he just want's higher draft picks . The number of wins is very suspicious, I swear.
A40:
Lool OKC and Sacramento.

Luke Walton can still coach apparently because I thought they were dead and buried after Fox and Bagley got injured.

Speaking about coaching am I the only one that thinks Steve Kerr has been exposed this year (I know it's a bad roster) but I don't think that team should have only 5 wins at this point. Ohh and Draymond Green too. Don't tell me Golden State had 4 all stars. Draymond ain't no all-star

Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93:
Your point is well taken. Obviously we have different opinions on what leadership means. İ believe leadership varies from one social environment to another. İn this case, i believe the mix of qualities that constitute good leadership at the college level is different from the NBA. Again it's hard to make a definitive conclusion on his leadership, cos you cannot find a full regular season sample in which he played alongside at least one other star. İt's either he got injured, or his co-star, for instance Cousins got injured for a stretch of time. But as i have presented, in 2017/2018 season , he played 42 of the first 48 games with Cousins and Holiday and they barely won half of their matches. This was in reference to the argument that Davis cannot do what Giannis' is doing at the moment(as an extension to our who is better or are they at the same level argument grin), given the fact that the Bucks are 7-0 without Middleton.
Roland17:
Haha! I understand bro. I have rules of engagement with everyone. No vex, I no go quote am for your matter again. grin
If you say Holiday kept Lillard mute then I can make subjective inferences until the world comes to an end. I can say Davis dominated the rim and kept Nurkic, Lillard and others away from the rim. Holiday did his assigned job as a guard and it contributed to the success of the team, so did AD on both ends. I can also say without the clutch shooting of K. Middleton last year, the Bucks would not have made the conference finals before choking a 2-0 lead to the Raptors.
I don’t know what or how you define leadership but it a very broad term and from the history of AD’s career he has shown he is a leader, maybe not your usual charismatic, in your face loud leader but every team he has played in from high school have always looked up to him as their leader and guess what he was up to the task. There are different styles of leadership, Curry does his with his on court performance while Green does the in your face thing.. but guess who the leader of the team is? Curry of course! How about S. Nash? He would rarely say a word on the court but Amare and the rest knew who their leader was! I will entertain arguments about stats, numbers and other but leadership? Or making his team or team mates better? That’s a no for me.

If magic didnt have kareem and vice versa, if jordan didn't have pippen, if bron didnt have wade/kyrie, where would they be? So AD isn't allowed to have a sidekick? He got to the western semis and lost to the warriors through no fault of his own, i dont understand this obsession with 50 wins you have if he came through in the post season and demolished a higher seeded team. I don't know what exactly you want from this man yomi. Just stop with the senseless hate.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 5:00pm On Nov 27, 2019
İ sincerely respect your opinion, but you better not quote that guy when you wanna present an argument to me. İ take most of his opinions with a pinch of salt. And i beg to differ, that's not in anyway ridiculous. . You may want to read his post again. He literally stated that Davis swept the Trailblazers. İn which planet did that happen ? İ repeat again, if Holiday had not kept lillard at bay, the complexion of that series would definitely have been different. At least you used 'they'. We are not talking about if AD produced the numbers while he played with Cousins(held his own), i was talking about how much games he was able to win in the post that came after the post you mentioned. İ have not in anyway slighted him with respect to his talents. This is the NBA where leading is on a different dimension and all the more complex, not college where your talent alone can put you over the top. İn the other post i clearly mentioned the number of games he played with Holiday and Cousins in the 2017/2018 season in which case they only managed to win half. İ maintain my stand, you can keep yours as well.
Roland17:
Baba, I am tired of reading this narrative that AD did not make his team better or that he is not a leader!! I think it has to be the most ridiculous argument to make against AD especially if you have followed his career since his Kentucky days. Since his college days he has been a leader, a strong one at that who was and has never been shy of the big stage. This kid led Kentucky to the NCAA championship in 2012 averaging 15 PPG, 11 Rebounds and 4.6 Blocks during the tournament and on the road to the title, yet he is not a leader? Come on man, somethings are better not said at this point.

I was going to type a lot more but I thought the attached comment would save me the stress. Read the attached comment and tell me how AD did not make his team mates or the Pelicans better or how he is not a leader by what he achieved during that playoff run. This kid led the Pelicans to its first playoff win since 2011 when they swept the Trailblazers in the deadly western conference. He freaking played with E. Moore, Rondo, Holiday, Mirotic and don’t even get me started on the bench players. The bench had C. Diablo, S. Hill and other bums who are no longer in the league. Even when twin tower was formed with D. Cousins, AD still held his own. He achieved this in same western conference that is responsible for some of the changes we are going to be experiencing soon in the NBA because of the disparity in competition when compared to the East. Yet he is not leader?

Read without bias please and tell me how the achievements highlighted in the attached post considering the circumstances does not show leadership or making his team better. You can make numerous arguments against AD in comparison to Giannis but please not the leadership or making team mates or teams better argument. You can bring numbers and all the other stuff but not leadership or inability to improve his team.

I have been very hard on AD on this thread and it is on record that I was tough on him when he told the Pelicans that he would not be returning while the season was going on but that does not stop me from making objective arguments about him. Make other arguments but this leadership and not making his team or team mates better is dead on arrival.

Well I guess I ended up writing more than I intended to.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 2:23pm On Nov 27, 2019
I am sorry, I maintain my stand. Davis has never won above 50 games in any season, even when he was healthy and had a lot of help. In the 2017/2018 season when he had more than enough help- in fact I could argue that he had a co-star in Holiday who kept the opposing team's star guard( Lilliard) at 18.5 points while averaging 23.7 points, even scoring 41 in the final game. That was as important, if not more than any other factor in the sweep. In the 2016/2017 season where he had Holiday and Cousins for 18 games they lost more than half of their games. In the 2017/2018 he started 42 of the first 48 games with Holiday and Cousins, and they barely won half of their games. These may not be full season sample sizes, but they are good ones. If he was good enough a leader his team should have done better in those stretches. And don't give me the argument that Cousins and David didn't fit together, cos if he had half the leadership qualities u guys assume he could have been able to make it work. And don't bring the high school argument here. Who cares if he was a football(soccer) player or even a quarterback? grin. We are talking about his Nba career, you are talking about high school.
steady986:
But how are you sure AD would be unable to lead this Bucks team? No matter how good a leader you are, if your team is trash then there's little you can do. Take a look at Carmelo Anthony for instance. Why do you think he made the playoffs every year with the Nuggets but suddenly couldn't take the Knicks to the playoffs more than twice?

And sometimes it depends on the coach too. When he was in NO, AD wasn't the guy that brought the ball up the court and ran plays, at least not every time. He always had mediocre point guards, until he had Rondo and of course made the playoffs that year. But knowing that AD is as good a ball handler as Giannis is, he could be tasked with the same responsibility as Giannis under this coach. AD does basically everything Giannis does, and more. Remember AD was initially a point guard at highschool before he grew taller.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93:
If you have placed someone on a pedestal or made an initial assumption that someone will continue to be superior to infinity, you may never look at this objectively. Davis may be a singular talent- but he definitely has not done much with respect to making any of his teams better while leading. You may ascribe this to the injuries he had along the time, but the fact remains. Fortunately for you he is second fiddle now, he doesnt have to worry about the pressure of leading. When someone says he cannot lead this Bucks team the same way Giannis is, it's not a knock on his talent, just an indication that he is not a good leader or at least his track record doesnt show that adequately. Simple.
steady986:
Baba, na wah for you o.

You want to compare this Bucks team to the team AD had? At one point Norris Cole was their point guard. Google that name and see where he plays now.
