I was actually referring to the guy who posted it here. True talk though.
Eruditor:
Lol. That someone got injured today does not mean others won't. That someone started bad does not mean they will end badly.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 8:09pm On Oct 31, 2019
I am still trying to figure out the point of this. Has anyone ever questioned the humane person of LeBron?
KarnBarlow:
Some say hes soft or weak or he doesn't have "the killer instinct" for things like this. He's simply the classiest superstar of all time.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 6:51pm On Oct 31, 2019
I am not starting another argument with you, so don't mention me again on the issue. I don't even know who I am mentioning cos you keep changing your moniker. grin
zelgiusdigby:
You were throwing insults about, not me.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 6:38pm On Oct 31, 2019
Man, I don't like this, and don't do it again if you hope to resolve issues like this.If you wanna arbitrate, quote both parties involved not one. Unless you know me personally, which i doubt.

DeeMain:
Benji93 tone it down man! We can have sane debates here without attacking the person on the other side.

It's just a game. Always remember that.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 3:15pm On Oct 30, 2019
Stop being unnecessarily dumb man. You cannot quote any of my statements, asserting that Trae cannot become better than Curry, instead you quote your post and make an inconsequential argument about numbers. I was wrong on the numbers, but again that was an extrapolation. Since you mentioned more than 1 person, it's only reasonable to present the argument of top 5 point guard. All I can understand from the current exchange is that you have realized your mistake, but you are unwilling to admit it. It seems you just type without thinking deeply.
KarnBarlow:
LOL This quote mentioned top 5 point guards? You seriously need help.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 8:50am On Oct 30, 2019
See, stop making a nuisance of yourself. This argument has lost it's purpose, you havevderailrd it. I quoted a comment where you clearly mentioned top 5 point guard, but you claimed you were talking about passing So quote one of my comments where I stated that Trae cannot become as good or even better than Curry. Shikena.
KarnBarlow:
LMAO, Do you even read what you type? You said we shouldnt say Trae can be as good as or better than curry did you not? Is that not what this is all about? Why shouldnt we?

Heres a recommendation for you, like it or not, you need it.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 8:23am On Oct 30, 2019
Well I do understand you are a pest, all I need is a pesticide. grin. But you know stop ranting about AD, we do know how good he is. You are screaming as if he's not been doing that for a while. grin
steady986:
Naaah, that's what I'm here for, I'll keep reminding y'all. cheesy
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 5:44am On Oct 30, 2019
Man I beg when you dey mention players no carry injury condition enter matter ooo. We don argue so tey the guy don wound ooo. Glad it's a short term injury though.
darkelf:
For this, we agree
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 5:34am On Oct 30, 2019
Now tell me where I stated Trae cannot end up better than Curry? I am not responsible for other FEW fans, so if they say anything quote them, not me.
KarnBarlow:
LOL.

I said Trae can be as good as or better than Curry, then you got all in your feelings saying we shouldn't compare him to curry, Why cant i speculate about how good a player can be? since when did he can be as good as become hes as good as? what is wrong with you?

I have literally never claimed trae young is one of the best point guards in the league, if i did then please show me where. The only time i even mentioned top 5 and trae young is when talking about passers. And then i said he will put himself in the discussion as one of the best point guards in the league.

Now if that is how you got me claiming trae young is one of the best 5 point guards in the league its either you don't know basketball or you should sue your english teacher.

As to doncic and trae young, doncic is closer to his ceiling than trae because he has been playing at a high level (euro league) longer than trae. But this is a different argument entirely.

Again, anyone who claims that steph is a better passer than brodie is simply ignorant. No two ways about it. System or not there are no glimpses in currys passes that show the vision and technicality that brodie or any of the other guys i mentioned have. You can talk about system however you want but thats speculative, i cant comment on what i can't see. Except you are claiming to be clairvoyant.

Sarcasm is for smart people. You lot claimed lebron was washed after 1 game (which someone pointed out to you BTW) immediately before that, you didnt seem to use the same excuse then so i said steph is washed. i said now that hes over 30 he cant carry a team anymore and then i said hes no longer the best PG in the league, same way you lot claimed bron isnt the best player in the league.

Like i said, when it comes to steph you have tunnel vision, you just know you have to defend him for no reason at all even when theres nothing to defend him from.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 5:31am On Oct 30, 2019
Man untold you to look through your posts before replying, but you never learn. In this post post were you referring to passing skills? grin. You clearly stated ' who is the best point guard in the game?' not who is the best passer. If you were directly referring to passing here, why throw Kyrie in? Is he known for his passing vision grin. When talking about a universal set, you cannot give an examples of one subset, and then assume we know you are referring to another subject. What inconsistency. I hope this analogy is not lost on you. And don't tell me this was referring to another post cost clearly wasn't.0
KarnBarlow:
Now that Steph is no longer Steph, who is the best point guard in the game? Dame? Kyrie? And mark me, Trae Young might throw himself in to this discussion this year.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 11:25pm On Oct 29, 2019
You do have a problem Man, where did I mention that Young has got no potential. Maybe you should quote it. For someone following this thread day and night you seem to have a short term memory. The first time I seriously considered your posts was when you argued Trae' s a better passer than Curry, and i further argued you shouldn't bring him into the conversation of top 5 point guard as he has another outstanding point guard in Doncic to compete against. I stand by my argument, and don't come here with your 'ignorance'. Anyone that disagrees with lebronsexuals is ignorant. I have said it, and i will say it again, if Stephen Curry is put in the same system Westbrook thrived he would even do better. Take it or leave it. Are you sure you are ok. Before you quote me again go and read your posts again. You stated clearly, 'Now that Curry is no longer himself, who is now the best point guard in the game' what does that mean if not knocking him down the perking order after 1 game. You even found a way to bring Trae into the conversation. Don't mention me again if you don't have a better argument. Peace.
KarnBarlow:
I still stand by what i said, trae is a better passer than steph. I didnt say he was better than steph, hes just a better passer. Then you brought up assist numbers and westbrook. I know people clown westbrook and i may not be his biggest fan, but arguing that steph is a better passer than brodie is sheer ignorance.

Lebron, Chris Paul, Rondo, Westbrook, Trae Young, Harden, Jokic, simmons, lonzo, doncic. Put them in any order but steph is not a better passer than any of these guys. Doesnt mean hes not better than all of them bar lebron and maybe harden, but as a passer hes simply not as good as them whether you want to admit it or not. Denying that is just wishful thinking.

You literally spent you last few posts arguing about traes potential. In fact you said we shouldnt even project about his potential at all. Now you're back tracking? LOL! Maybe its you who doesn't understand what you're typing let alone what others are. You start an argument just for the sake of it, just because curry is mentioned and you dont even know where you're headed with it.

I said curry wasnt himself but if you didn't pick up the sarcastic undertones behind it especially after the lebron debate that came right before it then thats on you.

I'm a lebron fan but if you followed this thread long enough you'd know i'm one of the first to criticize him after a bad game or when he doesnt look himself.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93:
Don't let me start mentioning the shit lebronsexuals do cos it's uncountable.
Do you have a problem with comprehension? You said he is a much better passer than Curry and that was what i had a bone of contention with. And why would I debate 'potential' with you given it's context herein. Did i refute your claim that he has the potential to be Curry or even better? You clearly stated Curry is no longer himself, or you can't remember your own posts too? These were the statements I took up. And I like your honesty with respect to admitting LeBron fans are turculent, but I could throw in "overly" in there. grin.
KarnBarlow:
Maybe going ape sh-t because I said someone has the potential to be as good as or better than steph?

Maybe saying you want to avoid the internet because people are slandering Steph?

Lebron fans can be truculent but people say all sorts of unfounded things against him that lebron fans don't respond to because we are used to it. But when you can't even entertain harmless comparisons thats the height of sensitivity. Its embarrassing!
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 2:18pm On Oct 29, 2019
As much as I respect those numbers especially 8 assists, his field goal was bad:41.8%. So he still has some catching up to do in that regard. If he can add 4- 5 % to that this season perhaps we can revisit the conversation. The projections are in order though. Plus if you really read my comments, I wasn't exactly treating your argument as garbage. I was indirectly referring to the other guy that clearly stated he's top 5 point guard right now.
A40:
So since you agree it is not far fetched why is everyone up in arms? We are saying the comparisons are legit and he has the potential to be a Steph. We're not saying he is at Steph's level now. The point is even I who was not a believer in Trae Young has been forced to rethink my previous position

This kid was 19-3-8 in his rookie year. He is ahead of schedule whether we like it or not.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 12:35pm On Oct 29, 2019
The most sensitive fan base? You need to reboot your brain bro. Honestly, do you know what sensitive even means? We cannot even say Kawhi is currently better than LeBron in peace. Can anything be more sensitive than that? Gerrara here man.
KarnBarlow:
Like i said, steph has the most sensitive fan base partly because its mostly made up of teenagers. No one gets slandered like bron and you never see bron fans go into hiding.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 12:27pm On Oct 29, 2019
The argument that Trae young could very well be the next Curry is not far-fetched, but there is one thing to note. We still have to wait till the end of the season to make a solid comparison between their respective second seasons, otherwise all we can talk about is ceiling/ potential. Nothing more.
A40:
I'm sure you were one of those that scoffed at those that labeled Messi the next Maradona. Oya tell me why Trae Young cannot be the next Steph Curry or what was present in Steph's game in his second season that Trae Young is lacking

Gimme one reason I'll wait.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 12:10pm On Oct 29, 2019
Yeah Man. I don't even have a problem with anyone criticizing the team or Curry in particular, but such pettiness is uncalled. "They eventually won by 11" We all know the team consists mostly of lads still trying to find their way, so a display of such performance from them is not unexpected. But I see a lot of positives in Kerr' s decision to sit Curry when the team is being run over. It's like saying to him, if you can't get a lead, keep a close score or create a semblance of a potential comeback you are sitting the rest of the gamegrin. You are not allowed to stat pad. Hopefully that inspires a more formidable Curry. Moreso letting the kids play late is encouraging, hopefully they get enough confidence to be at least good and keep the team afloat. I think Curry is letting the media get to him. He seems to be trying to post the stats to justify an MVP consideration. But you are gonna be stuck in this situation for a long time, why not work to make the team a better one? Let them keep trying to get buckets by getting the ball to them in important positions. Facilitate the young lads to greatness young man, your points will definitely come to you.
darkelf:
The dislike is just unnecessary. They won't focus on their teams. Their days are never complete without referring to GSW. I guess when you are a true champion, everyone just wants a go at you
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 11:07am On Oct 29, 2019
What is your problem man? you seem to be pained that the GSW got a win. No body claims GSW is an elite team, we understand we are gonna be having a tumultuous season, you don't have to keep reminding us.
steady986:
Still ended up winning by just 11, and giving up 123 points angry
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 2:24am On Oct 29, 2019
The kid has got potential, but the real question can he continue such brilliance for a stretch of 82 games, getting ATL into the playoffs enroute? I would rather wait till the end of the season before drawing a conclusion.
A40:
The Trae Young and Steph comparisons are legit oh. Iro o da. That kid is a baller
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 10:43am On Oct 27, 2019
Common, Lakers loss to them does not mean the rest of the season plus post season will take the same shape. It just makes some of us feel good seeing your ass get whooped by your competitor in CAL. grin
steady986:
Right. We should look at it in isolation, just like their game against the Lakers.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 9:37am On Oct 27, 2019
You clearly answered your own question.
steady986:
Can we now say that this Clippers defense is grossly overrated? I mean, how on earth do they concede 130 points to the Suns?

Or maybe it's just one game and we should look at it in isolation.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 9:28am On Oct 27, 2019
Unless I am not getting your point, no one has ever done what before? No one has ever had such a ceiling? Does potential count as doing? You might want to think of the kind of phrases/ words you put together to make your point. His potential could put him in the conversation of top 5 point guard in the future(your perspective) or even a top 5 player for the best case scenario. However your argument so far puts him up as a top 5 point guard amongst PGs like dame, Kyrie and co, you even went as far as stipulating that Stephen curry is no longer himself. How can u come to such a conclusion after 1 game? Na so you go go do wey the guy go drop 50. Trae's potential does not describe his now. And as i said he still has to outperform Doncic , and actually get ATL to the playoffs. So get out of here with your basket argument. grin
KarnBarlow:
Lol. Sorry i speculated about the ceiling of a young players potential. No one has ever done that before.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 3:15am On Oct 27, 2019
Maybe you shouldn't mention a player in his second year in the same conversation with a player with a glowy body of work, in the person of Curry. Trae already has his work cut out. He might as well try to outdo another player of his class in the name of Doncic. Don't even bring him into the top 5 point guard category. Let's see what he does over 82 games in wins and performance.
KarnBarlow:
grin grin grin

LOL. I admire how passionate you curry fans are.

If you had followed his career early on, Trae Youngs comparison straight from college has always been steph curry because of his range and off the dribble shooting but he struggled shooting in the NBA so far, if you were a more careful reader you'd notice how i mentioned the consistency of his shooting as a condition. If you understood english a bit more, you'd understand that esque doesnt mean exactly the same, just a semblance between them. Again, just because you see currys name mentioned doesnt mean you have to blow your top over it.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 8:09am On Oct 25, 2019
However I will start looking into Trae more closely now.
KarnBarlow:
Lol
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 7:56am On Oct 25, 2019
I was only giving you a counter example, as was required to punch a hole in your argument. grin
KarnBarlow:
Lol
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 7:21am On Oct 25, 2019
Partially, we didn't look good for the entire duration of the game. The game was already gone before the end of the 3rd quarter. Clippers is kind of the ceiling now as Golden state was in the last 4/5 years. This is the first game of the regular season though, we didn't expect much from the team. We only hope we make the playoffs. If we are to go by your assertion, then it's safe to say RIP to your darling Lakers. grin
steady986:
Is it safe to say R.I.P to GS at this point? cheesy
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 7:13am On Oct 25, 2019
No doubt
steady986:
But in all this, LeBron is still the best passer right? cool
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 6:03am On Oct 25, 2019
Hell no, you can keep your opinion to yourself though grin. West brook gets a lot more assists than Curry, but most people consider Curry a better passer than he is. İ am still trying to figure out what sophistication there is to Trae's passing.
KarnBarlow:
This isn't a criticism. The vision and technicality exhibited in Trae's passes i haven't seen from curry, you can speculate as to what curry can do and how much the Golden State system has stifled that but i can only comment on what i can see.

Just my opinion, you don't have to agree with me. But honestly, all feelings and sentimentality aside, i don't even think this is a debate.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 4:20am On Oct 25, 2019
It does. But i would admit any criticism if it's reasonable enough. On that note, Trae young is not a better passer than Curry. At least not yet. The system of the Golden state doesn't do justice to Curry's pedigree as a passer. And how are you sure i don't watch many NBA games?
KarnBarlow:
I know anyone who says anything bad about curry hurts your feelings and i know you don't watch many NBA games but Trae young is currently a top 5 passer in the league.
Sports › Re: The NBA Begins by benji93: 3:25am On Oct 25, 2019
Much better passer!, are you kidding me. Gerrara here.
KarnBarlow:
Trae Young is going to be a problem in this league. I was the first to say that i didnt like the steph comparirons, and i don't want to be a prisoner of the moment but hes already a much better passer than steph curry, if his shooting can remain consistent this kid is going to be a much better player than steph curry. This kid is the truth.
